Delicious food. The service could be a bit faster, because we had to wait a long time. Normally not a problem, but this time we had a theater performance afterwards and 2 hours was just not enough. But what you got was delicious!

Delicious food and drinks, despite a full terrace (certainly 100 people), our food was on the table within fifteen minutes. Sandwiches and toasted sandwiches generously filled and of good proportions. Excellent quality price ratio. Service very friendly and professional. A must if you are near Oldenzaal.

The food was delicious. We enjoyed a delicious satay and pork belly. The side dishes, salad and fries were also very tasty. The decor of the restaurant was very modern and very cozy. The staff was a little less pleasant and a bit out of touch. This is a shame for such a beautiful business. Nevertheless, a good meal.

Tasty sandwich, good ham and real cheese, with even some lettuce and dressing on the plate. And, for the enthusiast, a bowl of curry for the sandwich. For only €4.20! Many 'Grand Cafés' in the west of the country can follow an example... And pleasant, polite staff in a nice location

First time, restaurant in a beautiful place, great place to eat, meet friends, cozy environment, very busy, hard to find a place to sit, I think you should make a reservation, service is cool, polite, caring, I ate schnitzel, it's great, Mosterdsoep soup is very tasty 🙂

Very nice Grand Café with good service and we had a delicious meal here.

A cool, atmospheric place in the very center of Oldenzaal. We were here for the first time and we liked it very much. The interior design and atmospheric lighting as well as fast and friendly service are a big plus of this place. The food was delicious too. And beer lovers will certainly be pleased with the large selection. We would love to come back here on our next visit to Oldenzaal to try more dishes.

Fast service...nice coffee and the apple pie was delicious

Food fine, service very mediocre. The staff looks around a lot or talks to acquaintances, while I have been sitting outside at a table for more than 15 minutes and have still not been helped. And no, this is not because they were too busy, because then I would understand. At some point I asked if I could get another cappuccino and said that I also wanted to pay immediately. The cappuccino was delivered promptly and the service immediately moved on to another job. More than 25 minutes have passed and no one has come to me yet to bring the bill. Shame.

Ate dinner salad and snitsel. Cutting was perfect. Recommended. Meal salad mediocre/poor. Looked more like a shaken head of lettuce in water!! Complained about this and would pass it on. When paying, we were asked by the same lady we had complained to whether everything had been okay. So nothing passed on!! So there is still a lot to win!!

Delicious food. The pity was that my partner was served the wrong thing. While my food was already there, we had to wait for the other one. Terrace is cozy. Shade and sun. Bowl of water for the dogs, 1 star extra. Nice service.

This eatery is located right on the Markt. Smoking is allowed on the terrace. For non-smokers, like us, it was difficult to find a table without the nuisance of cigarette smoke. The service was quite fast for a drink. Recording a dish took a little longer. The dishes looked tasty and the taste was excellent.

Very long wait for the food, service is very poor

Well, just great. We visited this grand café twice during our holiday in Bad Bentheim. We sat inside both times. What stood out is that all tables are reserved. Fortunately we had done this too. And it is not surprising that it is full. The decor is really nice and cozy. The service is friendly and smooth. And the food, phenomenal. We went for the carpaccio and satay, also the second time. Both so delicious. And that satay is so tender and well cooked. Fantastic. Personally, and this is not a complaint, I would flavor the satay sauce more (think of the Surinamese variant) and keep it a bit thicker in structure. The current trial has some neighborhood flavor. But tastes differ. Luckily I don't live nearby, otherwise I would have been there many times a month. It was a culinary party.

Some time for a 12-hour break at De Dominee in Oldenzaal. Full terrace with many customers... that appeals. Service friendly and personable. The choice was quickly made and lunch was served promptly. Nothing to complain about, next time again 😁

We had a wonderful experience in Ootmarsum after viewing the many artists in the cozy streets. There was a Monday market and the pastor had a brasserie opposite. The cappuccino with apple pie went well and the next day we also had hot chocolate with whipped cream. It was great in this cozy place next to the Devil and the Engel. We will return here in late August when there is an art market.

Excellent restaurant - very high quality of food

Mooi restaurant, 1e keer bezoek, veel goede verhalen gehoord. Na het toegewezen plekje duurde het 15min todat er iemand kwam om het drinken op te nemen. Deze hadden we vrij snel. Toen duurde het weer ruim 15min voordat we een menukaart kregen. Gelukkig werd de bestelling (voorgerecht en hoofdgerecht) snel opgenomen. Het voorgerecht liet even op zich wachten. Het was druk in de zaak. Begrijpelijk. Het voorgerecht was lekker. En toen begon het wachten. Anderhalf uur wachten, inmiddels tafels voor en achter ons met maaltijden maar wij niet. Toch maar even vragen. Oh foutje in de keuken? Het komt er zo spoedig aan. Een aangeboden drankje was netjes geweest voor deze fout maar helaas. Gelukkig kwam het hoofdgerecht binnen 20min als nog. Het was lekker, niet bijzonder. Geen toetje want we zaten er al een paar uur en moesten door. Helaas wij komen niet terug.

First on the terrace (heated) but still went inside. Pleasantly busy and served quickly. The coffee was excellent and the guilty pleasure cheesecake simply sublime. Beautifully decorated with a piece of chocolate, a dollop of caramel and even real whipped cream! Perfect.

Was alweer een tijdje geleden dat we hier voor het laatst waren. De herinneringen waren echter goed. En ook deze keer weer heerlijk gegeten. Vooraf onder andere de nacho's met gehakt. Heerlijk vol bord met genoeg dips er bij (3x). Hoofdgerecht waren biefstuk en tournedos, heerlijk klaargemaakt met meer dan voldoende side dishes. Als toetje de trilogie, een creme brulee en het chocolade taartje. Alles om je vingers bij af te likken. De ambiance was uitstekend, personeel was precies goed aanwezig en het restaurant zelf heeft een bijzonder gezellige uitstraling. Top avond gehad!

Hier smiddags geluncht en savonds diner gehad. Beide keren super lekker gegeten. De zaak is ook erg mooi ingericht. Het verwarmde terras is echt een pluspunt; hierdoor konden we savonds lekker buiten eten.

Evening ruined by messing up on the same dish twice. The result is that my partner ate alone (different dish). Ultimately I decided to take the dish off the bill, as I had lost my appetite. Furthermore, no leniency shown whatsoever by probably the manager. Also treated rudely and arrogantly at checkout. Scandalous!!! Thanks for ruining the birthday.

From the outside you wouldn't guess that it is so atmospheric on the inside. Beautifully decorated, attentive staff who immediately welcome you upon entering. It was busy so we were able to wait at the bar with a drink. Staff have an eye for detail, are polite and friendly and the food plus wine was excellent! Tasty and decent portions. 👌🏼

Gezellig grand café waar je echt te gast bent zeer vriendelijk personeel. Het ligt helaas niet bij ons in de buurt maar als we hier zijn komen we zeker terug.

When we are in the Netherlands and visit Oldenzaal, a visit to De Dominee is always on our program. The extensive lunch dishes are all delicious. The atmosphere is cozy, nice large covered terrace and the service? Very friendly, but on a busy Saturday afternoon there was a long wait. That could be better!

I love this place. They got amazing salad (tryed Carpaccio and one with Goatcheese) and desserts. The taste is just amazing. We actually returned 2 days in a row and are planning to be back for the weekend again for some more good food, a nice atmosphere. That got quite a big selection of beers too.
