Beautiful restaurant with an atmospheric interior. Despite the heat, the staff was friendly and the food itself tasted good. We arrived on a Friday evening at 7:40 PM, on a day when it was about 35°C. We were very disappointed that a new restaurant like this does not have air conditioning. On the terrace, the windbreaks ensured there was hardly any cooling. There were no fans or other measures against the extreme heat. Only after several guests had complained about this was the sunshade raised, making it slightly more pleasant. Unfortunately, the service was very slow. After about 30 minutes, we received an amuse-bouche (ham and sashimi of tuna and salmon). We did not receive the menu until about 45 minutes after arrival. We then opted for the surprise menu, but to our surprise, the starter consisted of tuna sashimi again. We felt that was a missed opportunity. As soon as food was served, there was a lot of nuisance from flies. A fly repeller was not available… Fortunately, the main course was very tasty, featuring a beautiful piece of meat. The dessert, a combination of various small desserts, was also well-received. All in all, given the ambiance and the level the restaurant projects, we had higher expectations. However, due to the extreme heat, the lack of cooling facilities, and the long waiting times, the overall experience unfortunately fell short of what we had hoped for.

The cappuccino tasted like a glass of warm milk; after we pointed this out, we were very politely given a new one immediately. This one also tasted like a glass of warm milk. The food was fine. The waitress did, however, politely remove the cappuccinos from the bill.

A very attractive café/restaurant with a stylish interior and a lovely covered terrace in the heart of beautiful Oldenzaal. A great selection of drinks and food, as well as coffee and cake. The service is very friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

Great food, the atmosphere is good, and it is also nice how different the staff works there.
