Had a delicious lunch, prepared with great taste. Highly recommended.

We wilden iets nieuws uitproberen in Oldenzaal en kwamen zo bij Le Sourire terecht. Heerlijk eten en een super bediening. Echt een raadsel waarom de andere terrassen goed gevuld waren en ons terras niet. Een absolute aanrader! Graag weer 🤩.

Very tasty food, great service and a nice neat place!

Heerlijk geluncht! Ruime kaart met originele gerechten (ook vegetarisch). Heerlijke soep met lekker brood; daarna nog een verrassende salade gegeten. Goede thee en fijne sfeer. Gastvrije ontvangst en vriendelijke bediening. Heel wat leuker en origineler dan de gemiddelde Twentse lunchcafés. Aanrader!!

You really don't want to make money with these opening hours. We arrive on Friday evening and the terraces on the entire square are packed. Except here. At 8 p.m. they start cleaning up so you don't feel welcome anymore.

Very warm welcome and service! Nice wine. Delicious carpaccio and ditto salmon as starters! We would probably have had dessert if it hadn't been so expensive. Also, €9 for a sandwich (we saw it on the menu) is a lot. For 20 guilders for 2 sandwiches with something in between! Too bad that the catering industry is becoming unaffordable!

During the Broeskool Lös festival we had something to eat and drink here. Nice atmosphere, excellent service and excellent food. Extremely tender schnitzel with excellent fried fries and a large bowl of mixed lettuce (unfortunately mini fries - I prefer the thick ones). The salmon salad was also generously portioned. The wines on the menu are also good. Overall good value for money.

Le Sourire is never boring! In my opinion, this nice place, in a prime location, is the best lunch spot in Oldenzaal. And the concise evening menu is also recommended (Friday & Saturday evening). Here people cook with passion and express creativity. The dishes have something for everyone. A good pancake and burger to marinated salmon with a good salad and dressing on delicious dark bread. And oh, another shout-out to the delicious brownies and, above all, the hospitable team! See you again soon🥂

On a sweltering hot day, we found this pleasant terrace. One look on the meny convinced us: the toasties were what we were looking for! One four-cheeses, one cheese-jalapeno, and a bottle of sparkling water later, we were ready for the rest of the afternoon. The toasties were as they ought to be: chrunchy, melted cheese, chewy. Perfect!

We hadden wat te vieren. Schoonmoeder mocht mee uit eten. Het was erg warm en de terrassen lonkten. We hadden al goede verhalen gehoord over Le Sourire dus maar een tafel op het terras gereserveerd. Een bescheiden terras bij een klein restaurantje. Wordt dit wel wat? Nou! Piepklein keukentje met grootse gerechten. Heerlijk gegeten. Perfecte gastheer die heel attent iedereen in de watten weet te leggen zonder klef te worden. Aanrader ook vwb vegagerechten.

Delicious food. Everything is super fresh and prepared with attention and skill. There is also a lot of choice for vegetarians and vegans. Great, because few other businesses in Oldenzaal have so much choice. I had crispy and spicy samosas. My dining companion had the celeriac steak: what a culinary surprise! Good portions, neat restaurant, nice beer on tap. Recommended!

Zeer fijn terras met vriendelijke bediening. Goede koffie, met ongevraagd water erbij. lekkere taart. Goed toeven hier zo middenin de stad. Goede Corona maatregelingen genomen. Aan te bevelen bij een dagje Oldenzaal, wat ook een leuke plaats is.

Just in the afternoon and delicious bread. Prepared and served with lots of love. Something delicious with every cup of coffee.

Today (29-11) I had a linguini pasta with diamond tenderloin tips in sweet chili sauce, roasted pine nuts and arugula for €15.95. The dish was quite expensive for a pasta, although the meat made up for it. That was well prepared. The pasta was very spicy (sharp), which might go well with other dishes, but felt out of place with this pasta.

Had a wonderful dinner with the 3 of us! Steak cooked perfectly Medium as it should be. The rustic bread board comes with 3 delicious homemade sauces (especially the pesto with parmesan cheese). Only fresh ingredients are used. Absolutely recommended :)

Good menu, affordable and very cozy

Cozy, quiet atmosphere, friendly service and the food you are served is really tasty and fresh, good portion too (not too much, not too little). I will definitely come here more often and I will also recommend other people to come and eat here!! Almost forgot to put it down: chairs are also very comfortable...

This Brasserie is located in the middle of numerous connected restaurants/terraces, where I drank a refreshing beer. The uitsmijter (called: Uitgooier on the lunch menu!) consisted of 3 grass-fed eggs with rustic bread, ham, cheese and bacon. I read on the large menu that many main courses come from the grill, so I will definitely come back for that.

"Accidentally" ended up for lunch..... Definitely not just one time....

First we ate chocolate milk with cake made with beer. Very friendly service, which is why we went back to eat at the end of the day. We had pasta with truffle and pasta with shrimp. Both delicious. Third person had salmon with red cabbage and fries. Everything was equally tasty. There is no real dessert menu, but there was cake and pannacotta, which were also delicious.

We had a delicious meal at the Brasserie, opting for the surprise menu. The chef and service are great! We will definitely come back again, nice terrace and you can also sit inside. The business has not been around for very long, but the owner knows how to please everyone. A very good chef with a lot of creativity and delicious flavors, the quality of the dishes is very good.

Had a lovely lunch with the four of us at Le Sourire in Oldenzaal. Everything was delicious and the portions were generous. Both the rustic bread with tuna salad and one with delicious homemade croquettes (!), as well as the croque and the healthy sandwich (was not on the menu, but was made for us without any problems!) were delicious and very affordable. Le Sourire is easily accessible and you will receive very pleasant help - we highly recommend this smile from Oldenzaal!

Lovely terrace to enjoy a snack and a drink. Upon arrival the door was even opened for us by the owner! Furthermore, delicious food and delicious wines!

Visited again today. The staff was friendly and sociable. The portions were excellent this time (see photos). It is nice to see that something is being done with reviews, it is a sign that le Sourire cares about its customers. The patio was packed when we arrived and people were trying to get a spot as guests left. Finally, I would like to compliment the drinks that are served, the non-alcoholic radler is highly recommended! Conclusion: Definitely improved and excellent service. -------------------- Old review: Sat on the terrace yesterday, we arrived in the afternoon. I ordered a black angus beef because I had to work and wanted to eat beforehand. The food arrived fairly quickly, but what disappointed me were the portions (see photo). Not much steak, lots of fries and lettuce, price: €17.50. You don't get mayonnaise either. When I complained about this afterwards, I was asked if I still had time, then they would put some extra in the pan. When I answered yes, I was asked if I would have preferred bitterballen or kibbeling. Then we just left. Conclusion: Disappointment, but the food did taste good. I will definitely come back sometime to see if there is any improvement in the portions.
