Cicero Fresh Falafel - Pita - Hummus in Centrum

Just in the area from South Limburg and came across this by chance while looking for lunch. Absolutely no regrets!! Next time I'm in the area I know where I'm going to look for lunch.

Already in the kiosk this was the best falafel I have ever eaten (including Israel and Jordan), but now that you can also sit inside on the Hoofdstraat, it is absolutely great.

Delicious hummus with pita, chutney, chickpeas, olives, etc. I was asked if I wanted a spicy sauce with it, definitely recommended! Tip; As far as I'm concerned, enough hummus for 2 sandwiches, so add an extra pita (only good of course!) Delicious lunch for little money.

It’s not often you get a 5 Star place with so many reviews. Didn’t believe it actually but after eating the food, I’ll give it five too.

I've been meaning to go here for a long time... but every time it just didn't work out. Or wasn't I hungry, you know how it is. In any case, it was time yesterday morning. I think the man is the owner... friendly, smooth and despite the '16' waiting in front of us, everything went smoothly. Admittedly, I don't actually like cabbage... and if I have too many vegetables on my pita or other sandwiches, I usually have everything removed in advance. But this time I thought, I'm going to do it, it's crazy! So I took the two falafel pitas home. Plus Fritz Kola 'cola' the best Kola in the world. At home we started the treat for ourselves. And a treat it was! Good flavor combinations, the red cabbage with the sumac on top is heavenly, I always like my red cabbage! The falafel itself has a good full taste, not dry, just nice and juicy. The pita is how you always want it! And then the TAHIN SAUCE that makes everything come together! So that the pita falafel is a party in your mouth! Keep it up!

Truly the best falafel I've ever had! I've been here twice now to visit my sister and always stop by here. Don't forget to try the spicy sauces: one with tomato and habanero, and the other with Madame Jeanette and lime. You will never forget it. Really amazing. Keep up the good work and please expand to the rest of the country!

People working there and running the place share great passion for hospitality. Tried everything on the menu, it was all fresh and looked very tempting. It tasted even better - I can personally recommend the pita falafel and the hummus. Being there on a particularly rainy and cold day, I also appreciated the sweet potato and lentils soup - spot on suggestion. (Delicious) honest falafel, fresh ingredients, 10/10 recommend! I had a pita sandwich with falafel. Falafel was super crunchy (and not dry at all) and the hummus tasted wonderfully creamy. Furthermore, the sandwich was richly filled with tasty vegetables such as red cabbage. My mother had a Turkish lentil soup, which is also highly recommended! Staff is super friendly, perfect location in the cozy center of Meppel, there is a good atmosphere.

We are on holiday at Putten. I Googled Falafel 3 days ago and got this lovely place which is 75 KM away from us. On the way back from Geithoorn, we visited it. The taste of the food is exceptional, the location is accessible and the gentleman who works there is awesome. If you are nearby, give it a try. Trust me!! You will never regret it. Will come back again for sure.

Best Falafel in Meppel and I think far beyond. Super enthusiastic people who prepare the Falafel fresh and top the pita bread next to the falafel with fresh vegetables and sauces, a true taste sensation. Last week I received free falafel balls to try with mushrooms in them, I think, delicious. You can add extra spicy sauce, but it is really spicy!!! If you want to be sustainable, you can and may bring your own container. If you are ever in Meppel, don't miss this. Try it and you might be sold too...

Delicious falafel and a good reason to come to Kerkplein especially for it! Our kids love it too (so we pick up an evening meal very regularly). Be sure to try the Tabbouleh, you'll eat your fingers 😏. Finally, Lukas' soups are also delicious, you can taste the attention, craftsmanship and talent of this top chef.

Went here to get something on the advice of my son. Super delicious food, the tent looked super clean and the food too. Truly the best falafel sandwich ever: the sauce, the bun, the falafel balls and the vegetables and spices - everything is perfect. A unique culinary pearl in Meppel. The falafel balls are prepared on site and are crispy (but not too) and very tasty with lots of parsley. No mealy falafel but a very goloso sandwich for lunch or dinner. French fries/french fries lovers have also come to the right place here.

Special in Meppel and the surrounding area. Prepared with love and well thought out about the food. I also ordered the food to-go to eat it later at home. And even that has been carefully thought through: they pack the ingredients separately for you, and explain to you how you can best enjoy them at home as much as they were prepared on the spot. Fries with mayo: five stars. I am 1.90m with the same appetite and found the portion excellent. Both the fries and the mayonnaise. You get complete value for your money at this fries market. Good quality fries with a mayonnaise that complements it well. It looks like a blue, iron place for a quick bite. And it is, BUT: secretly it is haute cuisine takeaway. Not only the falafel, hummus and tabouleh are homemade. All sauces are mixed with care. even the sesame seeds are nicely roasted before they turn into tahini!
