City's Snelrestaurant in Wijk 01 Sittard

It's been unchanged for years, like stepping back into a childhood memory, and in a good way! Nothing too fancy, just a standard menu with "normal" food and a genuine 70s-90s atmosphere. When I come here with friends and eat fries and chicken nuggets, it tastes just as good as it did 30 years ago, when I sat there with my mother, reading the booklet for a new PlayStation game after a morning of shopping and wandering the market. Just sitting quietly with a good plate of food or a cup of coffee and catching up in a restaurant that exudes pure nostalgia. I still love coming here whenever I'm back in Sittard.

Greasy food!! Dirty toilet, kitchen definitely from 1975 then???

Never again! We waited over half an hour for two coffees. There was only one other couple there, and the rest of the place was empty. We waited almost an hour for our food! It was unbelievable, and we'd simply ordered two toasted sandwiches. And it wasn't even worth the price/quality. Way too expensive for what it was. My boyfriend and I were together.

Paid a fortune for pig food. The nasi was a lump. The gyros looked like they'd just been scooped out of the garbage. Never again.

These lovely people let us in quickly after closing time to pick up some takeout. The veggie burger was really good, nice and crispy, I've never had one like it before! P.S. The croquette was also great.

Nice terrace in not the best location but ok. Super friendly staff. Coffee was fine, cappuccino less so. We had a baguette with egg salad, super tasty and well filled. Price-quality ratio absolutely top.

Chicken soup = hot water with a layer of fat and vermicelli & some shreds (meat?) + too much salt. Wan tan soup = piped dough bags (dumplings) with chicken / pork? hot water with too much pak choi? & lots of salt. 請享用

After walking another stage, we continued a little further on the next stage. From there we walked back to City's Fast Restaurant. The owners are super friendly and have a good dose of humor. Furthermore, the atmosphere was pleasant. Finally, the food and drinks were also perfect. Furthermore, the toilet was also neat.

Very weak now. In the past, under the old owners, things always went well and you didn't have to wait long. Had to wait 20 minutes and then go to the counter for someone to come. Food order was still not ready after 30 minutes. Drinks took 10 minutes. All in all very weak and no longer recommended.

I don't know how things normally work, but today with Sint Joep Markt it is busy everywhere. Ordering took at least 20 minutes and so did serving. Meerserw people left after having waited half an hour for their order

Sad display, small portions, poor service, few customers and that during carnival, a missed opportunity.

The old owners made food that tasted and was delicious for an affordable price. The new owners have made the food more expensive, the portions smaller and they are trying to be friendly. Fries with satay sauce are really half-baked fries with peanut sauce, the whipped cream is not real whipped cream but something with a strange taste. As a good cook and seller of food, you have to taste and know how what you serve tastes.

Was always the restaurant where I went for a bite to eat when I was in Sittard. Delicious food, friendly service and last but not least: affordable. But not anymore, I think. Became very expensive for not fantastic food. Price/quality ratio is no longer in proportion
