I'VE BEEN COMING FOR 7 YEARS, never disappointed, top service, atmosphere, cozy, friendly staff, good food, not expensive, I recommend the onion soup and in the past the steak in the summer, that delicious ice cream after we sat with the dogs on the terrace and then along the scouting and the stream or the park, beautiful walking routes and there beautiful views, nice inside with those mills etc. inside so super nice, outside a playground for the kids, the kitchen is also large

It's okay. The chairs in that room are rickety. Everything else is neat and there are good seats. Nice space.

We had a delicious meal here in a cozy setting. We received a warm and friendly welcome. It's just a shame that if you're still there around 8 p.m. and want to order a cup of coffee or pay later, you have to look for staff to help you. They're already cleaning up.

Beautifully situated with plenty of walking and cycling opportunities... near a lovely park... a care farm as neighbors... not far from Sittard's city center... so it's also ideal for authentic dining... deliciously fresh food... very friendly service... all in a cozy and inviting setting... and in the summer, a lovely terrace... Well worth discovering...

This location will be especially nice in the summer. We were there in the fall and sat inside. Well, that's a bit cramped. The food was good, by the way.

A wonderful place to enjoy a delicious meal. The only downside is those awful squeaking toilet doors you can constantly hear in the restaurant.

A truly cozy, rustic spot with authentic elements! There's a fireplace corner on the left near the bar, a sort of front room/pub on the right with several tables, then straight ahead a cozy area where you can sit inside by the mill, further on a more open space, and then even further on a space that's often rented for private events. There's also a terrace in the front and back. So many options for seating! I haven't tried many dishes yet, but I definitely like what I've had! Highly recommended!

Great spot near the park. Had coffee today and everything was perfectly taken care of, and the service was excellent.

This afternoon we sat outside on the terrace. We asked for cappuccino and pie. We were told they only had crumble pudding and lentil-plum pie. We were slightly disappointed with the limited selection. The crumble pudding pie was poor quality (supermarket?). Especially for the price (€4.50)! A little later, people behind us asked what kind of pie they had. The same waitress said they had Beatrix pie, Bienestich, etc.?! We were amazed! This was our first and last visit to Vief Heringe.

We had a lovely chat over drinks. The decor is very cozy and inviting. It's also lovely to sit on their terrace with pastries or other treats. However, the staff isn't always very friendly.

We ordered high tea for five people, having reserved in advance, of course. We received no explanation of the different courses or what we were served. We weren't even asked if we needed more tea water or anything else. The tea strainers weren't suitable for loose leaf tea; we just poured it through. There were two empty containers on the table, and no one knew what they were for, not even our waitress. Afterwards, we weren't even asked if everything was to our liking. This isn't what I'm used to here, as the lunch is always well-prepared. It's a shame, as this is a beautiful location, but the staff aren't particularly friendly or attentive.

We recently had a delicious lunch at Vief Heringe. The menu is fun and unique, shaped like a newspaper. However, I find the lunch selection a bit limited, especially if you're looking for something cold. The staff is friendly and the service is fast!

A really great place! The food was delicious, and the staff was friendly and quick, despite the warm weather. You can sit outside under a parasol or inside. The appetizers we chose were warm and fresh. The ice cream afterward was also delicious. I'll definitely be back!

Heerlijk gegeten. Of je nu buiten zit bij de watermolen of binnen in de buurt van het maalgedeelte van de molen of hoe nu in de gelag kamer, het is allemaal even bijzonder . En de bediening was wederom warm en vriendelijk ,niets was teveel

Wij zaten in een krappe ruimte, tafeltje erg smal, stoelen zitten niet lekker, kortom te weinig bewegingsruimte. Eten was wel ok.

We enjoyed sitting on the terrace with the kids on a very sunny day. There was plenty of shade, but we decided to eat inside afterward, which was perfectly acceptable. The kids also had a nice lunch.

Restaurant in the old Ophoven watermill. On a summer day, there's a lovely terrace. Enjoy a cup of coffee, a cool drink, or a meal from the extensive menu (see the website). Why it's called De Vief Heringe remains a mystery, but it's a great place with very friendly staff.

And then the most important thing: the food and drinks were delicious. There was plenty of choice and the quality was top, so that everyone thoroughly enjoyed the culinary experience. Mooie locatie, maar wel heel veel slordigheid in allerlei zaken die wel zo horen te zijn in de horeca denk ik. Vergeten van de drank bestelling of heel laat brengen. Biefstuk rood besteld en dan doorbakken krijgen. Personeel vriendelijk en rest van het eten prima. Ook met de biefstuk werd opgelost door een nieuwe telefoon brengen. We komen zeker terug maar kritische geluid mag zeker.

Het blijft een mooie locatie, met de juiste zorg. Het smaakte goed en in alle rust kunnen genieten! Er werd echt de tijd genomen, waardoor je het gevoel had ik hoef mij niet te haasten, ik mag relaxed genieten van een avondje uit.

We zaten met 5 tennisvrienden in een gezellige, kleinere ruimte waar we zo goed als niet rekening hoefden te houden met anderen en er dus gezellig op los konden kletsen. Het eten was prima en de bediening was ook correct en gezellig. Niets op aan te merken.

We hebben heerlijk gegeten en het personeel is heel vriendelijk!! Voldoende keuze. Het restaurant heeft een gezellige sfeer.

Well I am really surprised. Haven't been here for a while because I thought it was expensive here. But that was the previous owner. Damn. Super cozy here. Cozy interior. Friendly staff and tasty, affordable food. Not to be missed. Worth repeating.

Een tafel binnen gereserveerd, maar door het mooie weer toch lekker op het terras kunnen genieten van een heerlijke lunch, op een super gezellig terras met vriendelijke bediening!!

Omdat we met een grotere gezelschap waren hadden we zaaltje voor ons alleen. Ook heerlijk omdat mijn kleinzoon lekker kon rondlopen zonder overige gasten tot last te zijn. Ontzettend lekker gegeten met het “ shared dining” concept. Lekker ontspannen kunnen eten van alle gerechten die geserveerd werden door vriendelijk personeel, in het gezellig ingerichte Zölderke. Ik kom zeker terug, ook om te genieten van de grote keuze in bier.

Gezellig zaak, lekker geborreld met kaasje, lekker brood, wijntje en snacks. Fijne bediening, gewoon gezellig gezeten.

Had dinner with my family for my birthday. Table was very small and the wicker chairs rickety. Behind us was a couple with 2 animals and dogs (didn't smell very fresh and personally I don't think that's acceptable in a restaurant). The food had a reasonable taste, but the pickled meat: lots of sauce and 2 cubes of meat, boneless ribs: 3 pieces. crammed into a container, lots of lettuce and few fries. Very pricey for what you get!! Very unfortunate

Met mijn gezin gaan eten voor mijn verjaardag. Als eerste wat ons tegen zat was de grote honden naast onze tafel, Sorry hoor maar in een restaurant horen geen honden aanwezig te zijn! Daarnaast was de tafel erg klein voor 6 personen en de stoelen erg ongemakkelijk. Konstant schuiven met je stoel voor het personeel wat langs liep, tafels stonden te kort op elkaar! De smaak van het eten was goed maar de porties veel te klein voor het bedrag wat we betaald hebben! ( Zuurvlees: veel saus en weinig vlees. Boneless ribs: 3 stukjes vlees in een kommetje met een paar frietjes en wat salade...) Wij gaan hier niet meer eten!! Jammer ☹️

We hebben hier een fantastische avond gehad met onze familie van 16 personen. Vanaf het moment dat we binnenkwamen, werden we hartelijk ontvangen door het vriendelijke personeel, dat gedurende de avond erg attent en behulpzaam was. Ondanks de grootte van onze groep verliep alles soepel en voelde het alsof er echt aandacht werd besteed aan onze ervaring. Het eten was heerlijk en van goede kwaliteit, vooral voor de prijs die je betaalt. De porties waren royaal en er was genoeg keuze op het menu, zodat iedereen iets kon vinden dat hij of zij lekker vond. De gerechten werden mooi gepresenteerd en smaakten vers en goed bereid. De sfeer in het restaurant was gezellig en uitnodigend, wat bijdroeg aan een ontspannen en leuke avond. Het was duidelijk dat het team goed voorbereid was op grotere groepen, wat erg prettig was. (Heb zelf ervaring) Al met al een geweldige ervaring en zeker een plek die we kunnen aanbevelen voor familiediners of andere groepsuitjes. We komen zeker nog een keer terug! 4/5 sterren.

Misselijk naar een soep waren wij enkele jaren geleden. Maar zo een asociale bediening (junge vrouw) zo als vandaag hadden wij, 12 personen, nog nooit in ons leven. Gelukkig zijn er ook nog restaurants met goede bediening.

The terrace is especially nice in the summer. Inside is fine. The food is good. The presentation of the food could be a bit more special. It's pretty ordinary for the cool location. But I am spoiled. The friendly service takes a long time. We could easily have had more drinks if they came to visit more often. We kindly indicated this and Monique made it all right in a nice way. So that's a big 10. If you like alcohol, the homemade limoncello (lemon) is really the best!

Had a party in the mill hall tonight. We were served by 17 year old Bjorn. That deserves a compliment. The service was perfect. The snacks were delicious, Bjorn arrived on time for a round of drinks, in short, well taken care of, partly thanks to Bjorn
