Good and friendly staff. I found my pizza taco completely tasteless. The pizza wasn't bad, but the taco meat wasn't seasoned and was therefore as flavorless as the pizza crust. The appetizer and dessert were very good, though.

Good and affordable food. Nice atmosphere. If you want a more extensive meal, you should definitely sit upstairs; downstairs quickly creates a very cozy café atmosphere. A downside for me is that dogs were allowed upstairs (small dog in this case).

Christmas Eve. Fantastic evening. Warm, cozy atmosphere, delicious food. Choice of Christmas menu and/or à la carte. And we had a very friendly hostess/waitress. And affordable.

We were seated at a table that was too high and stools that were too low, making it uncomfortable to sit while eating. The door also kept opening and closing, making it very cold. The staff turned up the heat, but this didn't really solve the problem. They were helpful and friendly, though. Overall, we had a wonderful Christmas Eve!

I had reserved a table in the heated conservatory, but I forgot that it's mostly high tables, which I don't like. That wasn't a problem; they immediately moved me to a low table inside, and there was no fuss at all. Unfortunately, I've encountered this differently in other establishments. The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and helpful.

The food was really great. Everything was cozy. However, things were often forgotten despite repeated requests.

A pretty decent place. It took a while for someone to come take our order; I had to go and ask someone myself. The food was pretty good. As a group, we found the tiramisu disappointing. I mentioned this, but the waiter didn't ask further. Too bad!

The food was excellent. The service was extremely slow, and I had to ask for the bill three times.

The food and the atmosphere was perfect, but the servers was coming around my empty drink 8x and in the meantime they serve everybody just not me, sitting in the inside on they’re phones doing nothing when they see that they’re customers have empty drinks. Maybe because I’m not speaking they’re language. But only because of the servers I will not come ever again. For this price I expected a little bit Moore.

We had to wait a long time, and the food wasn't good (the pasta was dry and the steak pieces were overcooked). We definitely won't be returning.

There was a young lady working, she was very pleasant. But the young man... No attention to detail or service. Mozzarella sticks cold, fries cold! Smash burger fine, but not for €25. Club sandwich very meager. Cheapest toasted bread. Goat cheese sandwich was good, though. The food is completely out of proportion to the price. Crazy expensive for the quality. Tables seated after us got their food, drinks, and even the option to place an order first. Agreed, but not again.

The restaurant's decor is magical. I was there with my family on Saturday, August 30, 2025, and ordered three pizzas and a panini. Well, although the panini looked great, the Italians should sue them for their pizza! Their pizza is simply pizza toppings arranged on a tortilla wrap

The food was delicious! But personally, I thought it took too long to get our food. It took almost two hours between sitting down and the main course. And after the main course was finished, it took ages for the deposits to be collected or for us to be asked if we wanted anything else to drink. Because of that, we decided not to have dessert because it was taking so long.

Dods Bodega restaurant in Sittard is a very large pizza, but tasty. Plenty of seating. It's the place to be.

Busy, good but not great. Not expensive, but certainly not a bargain. Too bad you're still allowed to smoke on the patio. Good location.

Overall, terrible! Upon arrival, it took far too long for the host in question to come and take his drink order. The women on the terrace piqued his interest more! The time between ordering and being served was far too long (and it certainly wasn't rush hour). The pasta with so-called tiger prawns was actually a mouse-sized amount of dry, tasteless pasta. The so-called tiger prawns were more like crayfish. Very poor for €26,-, OHDS! My wife had spare ribs, which were excellent, that much must be said! When paying, your host, who was so charming, asked if I wanted to pay by card or cash. After indicating that I wanted to pay by card, a card machine was shoved in my face with the message "€90,-"... no further boo or bah, and no receipt! I asked your host for the receipt first, which I think is the polite thing to do so that you know what you're paying for. After I was given this receipt, I couldn't be more spontaneous, because, well... the gentleman obviously didn't get a tip for his hospitable and friendly behavior! Tip... adopt a more hospitable and interested attitude... no more DODS for us!

Leuk en gezellig aangekleed terras. Ondanks de toch ietwat toeristisch en centraal gelegen ligging zijn de prijzen niee astronomisch. Wij hebben hier genoten van de allerlekkerste nachos die wij ooit geserveerd hebben gekregen.

'Rowing with the oars you have', they say... Well, you'd better leave these 'oars' on shore - then paddle with your own hands... Had to wait a long time for drinks, not getting a menu when you ask for one, unfriendly, inattentive, antisocial-sighing and (even) eye-rolling service... No, once and (unfortunately) never again... Too bad, because the terrace is nice...

Het eten is oké maar sommige hoofdgerechten stijgen 30% in prijs terwijl kwaliteit minder goed is. Ik begrijp dat een verbouwing betaald moet worden maar dit klopt niet meer. En ik vind het echt jammer

het was super lekker we hebben twee spaghetti carbonara en een pizza speciaal. En nog een pizza het duurde best lang en daarom heb ik hem vier sterren gegeven ze hadden ook een nieuw systeem. en ze waren binnen wat aan het praten en het duurde lang.

Too bad you don't get nuts or something like that with special beers, that's just part of it. At many restaurants/cafes you get that, even without asking. The prices are accordingly.

Super long wait before we were asked if we wanted something to drink, same with food. They did not listen to our wishes and it took a super long time before we got our food. When it arrived, the wrong order and they said that the mistake was with the customer.

We order a pizza and a bowl of nachos at 9:00 PM, then at 10:10 PM we ask where he is and we are told that the kitchen is closed. In other words, don't order food here because you will be hit bizarrely hard in the neck, DO NOT ORDER HERE😡😡😡😡

Vaker bij Dod’s wezen eten en de een voor de andere keer is het eten lekker en de andere keer totaal niet ( misschien andere kok op andere dagen?) Vandaag totaal slechte ervaring. Bestelling opgegeven rond 19.15 ( voor en hoofdgerecht. Voor gerecht, bruchetta’s kwam om 19.40 ( 25 min ??tijd wat op foto stond dus ja daarom precies!) na uur nog steeds geen pizza en lasagne te zien. Andere tafels na ons hadden wel al eten. Navraag gedaan bij de ober. Deze zou navragen, de lasagne stond in de oven. Zou ong 25 min duren ( bestelling vergeten door te geven???) Daarna niks meer gehoord. We hebben nog zeker 20 min daarna ook niks gezien of gehoord. Ook kwam de ober niet vragen of we misschien nog wat te drinken wilden. Op een gegeven moment ( 20.40) ben ik maar naar binnen gegaan om onze bestelling te annuleren. Toen was het eten opeens klaar. Nou wij waren er dus ook klaar mee. Heb afgerekend en zijn gegaan. Op z’n minst verwacht dat een drankje er van af kon. Ook dat was te veel verwacht

Had dinner here on Valentine's Day. Cozy atmosphere, decorated according to the theme, even the starter was in a heart! Food was also delicious and friendly staff. Definitely recommended.

Regelmatig gegeten bij Dods. Eten is er goed en bediening is erg vriendelijk. Elke zaterdag gaan we daar ook een borreltje doen wat ons tot nu toe goed bevalt. Het is er altijd gezellig druk en de bediening zorgt snel voor de benodigde drankjes.

Das Essen war ok. Der Service leider mangelhaft. Das Personal läuft zu Menschen die sie kennen und bedient sie dann zuerst statt unsere Nachbestellung der Getränke aufzunehmen. Wir mussten draußen sitzen und erst nach ca. 20 Minuten wurde uns die Heizung angemacht, bei anderen Kunden passierte das sofort auch ohne Rückfrage. Wenn einem das nichts ausmacht, dann überzeugt das schöne Ambiente.

We always like to come there for the food. We have sat under the awning a few times now. That is a terrace, but it is freely covered and yet closed. What really disappoints us is that smoking is allowed on the terrace. You pay quite a lot for the food and then the taste is spoiled by smoke, which is really annoying. The service could also really be improved! You are often forgotten and you can see that because when a waitress comes outside you can read from the face, oh yes, they are still there.

The food is always tasty and the service is fast and good. It was really cold outside in the conservatory. The heat lamps don't last. As a result, I enjoyed the food less.

Great italian dishes, but service was sometimes quite slow. The food however more than made up for it, high quality ingredients and great taste. Atmosphere is good as it's on a square, so in summer with the sun out it's great.

If you fancy tasty Italian food, DODS restaurant in Sittard is an excellent choice. The staff is friendly and very service-oriented. Are you in Sittard? Then I can definitely recommend DODS!

Have a coffee on the terrace. Got there just after half past four. Didn't get a card. Just borrowed it from another table. Ordered 2 lattes while the waiter was walking by. 10 minutes later the same waiter came and put a menu on the table. Indicated that we had ordered. Oh yes, that's right, he said that was with me. Then sit and wait "nicely". See you after five. At 5.10 pm after speaking to a waitress again. By the way, it was in English.... They promised to take a look.. At 5.15 pm we finally got our half-warm latte. No excuse but the receipt was lost???? Everything is done digitally, right???? I immediately asked to pay, but that took another 10 minutes. I put the money in cash on the table and when we got up a waiter suddenly showed up... Our first experience with Dods. Unfortunately not a nice experience.

Today I had lunch here with my colleague Volunteers from the Éngele van Zitterd-Gelaen & what a delicious meal we had & what a great service team. Heel erg langzame bediening, duurde meer dan 10min voordat iemand een kaart kwam brengen. Constant viel vanalles op de grond. Kregen de verkeerde kroketjes, we hadden gamba kroket maar geen gamba of smaak ervan te vinden. Schnitzel was lekker saus was water en verre van italiaans. 1 bediende smeet de koffie en glazen bijna letterlijk op de tafel. Verder is de zaak rommelig, stoffig en de heren wc’s ronduit smerig en vies. Te veel geld voor deze ervaring.

We had diner and the service was outstanding and food was so tasty. We had pasta vongole,, fish “kabeljauw” , brood met dip, and risotto. Risotto. Very nice restaurant.

hier met 4 mensen gegeten...het was echt slecht en het personeel was heel onvriendelijk. we hebben hierover geklaagd en kregen gelijk een mail terug dat we hier gratis nog eens konden komen eten...wij deze mail beantwoord om een afspraak te maken...nooit meer iets van gehoord. kortom..slecht eten, onvriendelijk personeel en ze komen hun afspraken niet na. mij zien ze hier nooit meer.

We were with a large group. We immediately felt welcome. Welcoming and friendly staff. Nice varied menu with pizza, pasta and the option to share dishes. Portions are really good. Delicious desserts too. Price-quality is certainly good, but expect a hefty bill. Average 50 euros for three courses with two drinks. That is normal in the Netherlands nowadays unfortunately.

Nicely decorated terrace, service was quick and our drinks arrived quickly. But...the Pornstar Martini was a ready-made one. You can see that and unfortunately you can taste it very well. You pay 11.50 for a cocktail because someone has devised and tested a nice recipe, must have the skills to make a cocktail and it takes time to prepare a good cocktail. If I want something ready-made from a bottle, I order a Coke. So this was unfortunately a disappointment. I understand that this is a matter of taste, but in the end I left it behind (against my principles, but I really couldn't get rid of this one)

Service is fine, food is overpriced for what you get. Fruit de mer was bland and fried for too long. Bruschetta was okay. Pizza was as thin as flammkuchen and not very tasteful. Pasta was tasty but very simple for 25 euros, the buratta was just mozzarella. The tiramisu wasn't great either and came from the freezer (not fully defrosted yet). It all happens very quickly, making you wonder if it wasn't waiting for you under a heat lamp. It is dark inside and the interior looks outdated (loose cables and cable ducts, damaged seats). Our waiter had probably just started and we had to get the drinks from the tray ourselves, while there was a table next to us available where he could have put the tray down, but he was friendly. I think you can sit here on the terrace and have a drink, but dinner is not recommended.

We had to wait a very long time for the food. The pasta did not taste fresh and the steak was tough. The tuna steak was very raw, but according to the waiter it was really medium and I should just order well done next time (so there will be no next time). We also had to wait a long time for desserts and only half of our party got their dessert; the other half didn't get their dessert until the others had long finished. Service very short and unfriendly. First and last time I ate here!

Wat een gezellige sfeer en goed eten bij Dods. We hebben erg lekkere pizza's gehad. Het duurde even voordat ze er waren, maar dat is logisch met een grote groep. Erg genoten!

A wonderful surprise! I always thought, a shop with a restaurant, that can't be much, but thanks to a voucher we received, we went there to eat once and how wrong I was! !Delicious food and thanks to the table on the 1st floor, also with a nice view over the market! We will definitely come back here more often!

What a crappy restaurant! We had to wait 15 minutes for drinks and more than an hour for two portions of pasta. By the time the food finally comes, you won't be hungry for a long time! Definitely not recommended!

Good luck if you have allergies or food intollerances. I went there with my husband and asked if a specific dish had gluten or not. The waiter asked then if we couldn't eat gluten. I confirmed it was me who couldn't. He said he was going to ask one moment. We waited for the longest time. Then surprise surprise... the dish arrived. I clarified we only asked if it had gluten or not but we didn't order it yet. Then the waiter from before came back and acted like he did what we asked for and like he was confused or annoyed. I know he understood our question from the start, because he asked us to clarify if we couldn't eat it and said he would ask and asked us for a moment. I asked then if please they could finally tell me if it has gluten or not, it is important. I had to ask twice more because not 3 waiters in total could confirm. I had to wait again more time until they finallyconfirmed it DID have gluten. So why did the waiter even order it anyway or said he would ask? We told him I can't eat it. After that they even tried to make us accept the dish regardless. I said no and ask then for the bill to pay the drinks. Because of this the waiter seemed even mad at us. He won't even show me the bill before paying or tell me the price to pay, just asked for the card with bad attitude. When I asked for the price to confirm it before paying he didn't seem to like it and seemed angry. Never coming back. Waiting that long for nothing and also receiving bad attitude. It could even have been dangerous.

Op het terras aan de Markt hebben we lekker geluncht. De porties waren royaal. Het garnituur was voorzien van een dressing. Dat kom je ook wel anders tegen.

Pizza was een soort flamkuchen met weinig beleg. Smaakte nergens naar. Voorgerecht was nog wel acceptabel, maar wat kun je fout doen aan nachts?

The food is good but the service is so slow. Waiting for 10 minutes before someone came to our table. The whole service team is talking to eachother at the bar.

A great atmosphere with many delicious dishes, not only limited to the Italian cuisine. They also offer a wide variety of drinks. I would recommend the DODS Sangria, which is much like the traditional Sangria, but reinvented in a different style. The staff is also friendly and provides great service.

Surprisingly delicious food. Currently the best spot around the market! Lots of choice, everything equally tasty with a shout-out for the delicious pizzas. Drinks and service also very good. We would love to come back here.

We had a lot to celebrate and we chose Dod's Bodega. We had a delicious meal, shared snacks beforehand, followed by great pizzas and pastas. The wine was excellent, highly recommended by the sommelier. The service was also very good. What a nice evening, we will definitely come back here.

It was very disappointing. Ate there with 7 people. We waited almost an hour and a half for the main course. The quality of the food was downright bad. I had a Scalopine Milanese of veal. I got something completely fried and breaded on my plate. A Scalopine should not be breaded like a Schnitzel. Downright bad, and that for €26.50. The ministry also consisted of children who were completely uninterested. So worthless, I'll never go there again. Everything else on the Markt in Sittard is better than this. Dods, you're doing well... I have adjusted my assessment after a colleague also spent half the night on the toilet after consuming briefly grilled tuna. Keep it up, great one!

Het viel zwaar tegen. Met 7 personen daar gegeten. We hebben bijna anderhalf uur op het hoofdgerecht gewacht. De kwaliteit van het eten was ronduit slecht. Ik had een Scalopine Milanese van kalfsvlees. Ik kreeg een volledig doorgebakken en gepaneerd iets op mijn bord. Een Scalopine hoort niet gepaneerd te zijn als een Schnitzel. Ronduit slecht, en dat voor 26,50€. De bediening bestond ook uit kinderen die totaal ongeïnteresseerd waren. Waardeloos dus, ik kom er nooit meer. Alles andere op de Markt in Sittard is beter dan dit. Dods, het ga je goed…

We was drinking there and the waiter with curly hair was agresive with us, when we paid everything by card he put 35€ extra on the bill. Be carefully when you go to eat there.

I had a salad which was great - plenty of olives, and a pizza which didn’t wasn’t impressed by. The base was quite crunchy. I got the feeling that the dough had a bit of oil in it - which isn’t how I like it. I did try to eat there again as it was convenient to the hotel and by far the most popular restaurant on the square. Stood waiting to be seated as per the sign outside for a few mins before giving up and heading 3 mins walk to what looked on Tripadvisor as a better Italian.

Nice terrace, now a bit cramped inside, everything was busy, busy, my pasta tasted good, there were probably a few grains of "sand" in the last 2 bites, annoying, but reported.

Hier kom je om een glaasje te drinken maar niet om te dineren. We hebben een voorafje besteld. Nacho’s uit de oven. Vieze bruin verbrande nacho’s die het veld moesten ruimen voor het hoofdgerecht. Voor en hoofdgerecht dus niet goed ten opzichte van elkaar getimed. Ik heb de spareribs niet opgegeten. Vies taai vlees dat veel vet bevatte. De salade van mijn vrouw was alles behalve smakelijk. 88,00 afgerekend en een teleurstelling rijker.

The pizzas were really not tasty!! Soft bottom and lukewarm. Shame. The starters were tasty. The service is as it is almost everywhere in the Netherlands. Quite young people, a bit stiff.
