We had a meeting here with members of the Zeotermeer "Die goede ouwe tijd" (The Good Old Days), featuring a report on former shops and businesses. This generated a lot of discussion. The service was excellent and friendly.

Great location and delicious food. Definitely recommended for a meal.

NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!!!!!! I ate there with my husband. He ordered the tenderloin and I ordered the sole. When we got the bill, I was shocked because I had to pay €56 for the sole. That amount was simply out of proportion compared to all the other prices. We mentioned it later, but the guy said there was nothing he could do about it. We won't be going back!!!!!!

I'm a fan of Jofel, but tonight was a very disappointing experience. I chose the sole. It was listed as the daily price. I know sole is expensive. It was €50. Oh well. What a disappointment! The fish was very dry. The typical, delicate flavor of sole was barely detectable. When I expressed my disappointment while clearing the table, the waiter acknowledged, judging by the remains, that the fish was too dry. Apparently, he'd forgotten this by the time he presented the bill. What a shame. It reminds me of the motto, "You should only eat fish in a fish restaurant in a fishing port." Next time, then.

I highly recommend anyone (with an allergy) NOT to eat here. They have no understanding of celiac disease, constantly sigh, and yell at the kitchen. I find the atmosphere unpleasant and unprofessional. It makes me feel unsafe. Not a pleasant experience.

Tonight we had dinner at Jofel for the first time. When we arrived it was quite full. First a delicious sandwich as a starter and then the beef tataki. This was really great! After that the diamond hare which was also perfect with a delicious thickened gravy.

A disgusting experience of abuse and discrimination by the so-called ‘manager’ of the restaurant. Today my wife arrived at the restaurant with our 2-year-old daughter. She had just bought an ice cream in the immediate vicinity and wanted to sit quietly on the terrace to eat something savoury, while our daughter ate her ice cream. At that moment I was not there yet. The waiter, who introduced himself as “Bob” and claimed to be the manager of the restaurant, showed an aggressive, misogynistic and hostile attitude. Instead of addressing my wife in a polite and hospitable manner — as one would expect in the catering industry — she was rudely and derogatorily sent away, just because she already had an ice cream with her. According to him, it was “policy” that people are not allowed to eat ice cream from outside on the terrace. But instead of calmly explaining or informing them, this person chose to address a mother with a small child in a rude and insulting manner. When I arrived and wanted to order something in Dutch, he suddenly changed his attitude completely — simply because he saw that I was going to consume and was a man. It was very clear that my wife and daughter were being treated as second-class people, just because they seemed alone and vulnerable. He did not apologize. On the contrary: he even wanted to chase them away. In the four years that I have lived in the Netherlands, I have never experienced such humiliating and disrespectful treatment. We are working people, we pay taxes, contribute to society — no one deserves to be treated like this. We even considered this restaurant as a location for our company's summer drinks. After this shameful experience, that is out of the question. We will also report this incident to Koninklijke Horeca Nederland and other relevant authorities, because this behavior is completely contrary to the values ​​of hospitality, equality and respect. An absolute disgrace. This establishment urgently needs to review the behavior and level of its staff.

Had a drink on Sunday afternoon. Friendly greeting by staff. Also offered a bowl of water for the dog. Nice music, although it was quite loud inside. Definitely worth repeating.

We were there on March 20, 2025 around 1:00 PM. The girl's service was not too friendly. After we had placed the order, I asked her for butter. Because otherwise I wouldn't be able to get rid of the bread. Waited long never got it. Finally, a boy asked for the bill at another service. Shame

We like to come here for both lunch and dinner; delicious food, especially the large carpaccio and pasta tenderloin! Service could be a bit faster, for example it may take a while before you can order your first drink and receive the menu. Nevertheless: see you soon! 😊

We went to Class by Jofel on Dorpstraat in Zoetermeer for the Christmas dinner. The dinner was delicious (our 7 years old even ate tomato soup!). Service was outstanding. We will definitely be back

Delicious dishes, even had stress about choosing!! Had opted for smashed avocado with burata cheese, which was delicious. My husband had a satay plate and my girlfriend had bitterballen with fries. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Really get out.

Last Thursday I spontaneously ended up on the terrace, ordered a beer and was helped so nicely by that nice slightly older woman with black hair and tattooed. So attentive and service oriented! I wanted to thank her for the good care and I will definitely visit more often. I actually wanted to ask for her number but I didn't think it was appropriate. I have been before in the past but she is truly an asset! So nice woman whose name I don't know, I'll come back for a snack and a drink soon! 😁

Op het oog zag het er gezellig uit. Heel druk zowel binnen als buiten. Muziek veelte hard en ook veelte warm binnen. Deuren gingen pas open na het vragen. Kregen koude patat. Net na het toetje vielen ons ineens de muizen op,meerdere. Na aangeven bij personeel was het lacherig ja daar loopt er ook 1. Maar in de keuken zijn ze niet hoor.

The high point is over, fine to eat. The service has become really crappy, very messy, chaotic and disorganized. If it had been my store, I would have put things in order. The food was more than fine. But I see it more often at restaurants after a few years.

We, 2 friends and I, had lunch here. Without exaggerating, it took us 25 minutes before we finally received a menu! And we only got the card when I asked for it myself, which was a bit strange. Large terrace, far too few shaded areas, all clients wanted shade, so do something with it! After we ordered it took another 25 minutes for our carpaccio sandwiches to arrive. These were okay, but nothing special. The staff was anything but pleasant or friendly. A young man and a young lady, both walked around with an expression of "it will take my time". Finally ordered a dessert (dame blanche), which again took quite a while, but it was busier on the terrace now, so that's possible. We didn't get any cutlery, so I asked for that. “Sure, go get it right away,” said the young man. Just took 10 minutes, my ice cream was now a pathetic melted puddle. Really a shame! When I asked the young lady for the bill this time, she said "you really want it on paper?!" As if that's a strange question🙄, so I said "yes please". Then she said, sighing deeply, "Well then, I'll get that!" I find this behavior of the staff far below standard. I think it's rude behavior, especially when you know that I paid € 106.50. They didn't get a tip, they really need to try harder for that. Fortunately, as friends, we didn't let this spoil the atmosphere. But it is very unfortunate.

Every last Friday of the month you can enjoy an evening of dancing in Class van Jofel. It's called staying behind. You have to buy tickets for this and be on time because it is sold out and busy. Because there are a lot of people inside, it is always very warm, but very cozy!

15 juni dit restaurant bezocht met mijn vrouw. Ik had als voorgerecht een carpatio, en een ossehaas als hoofgerecht. De carpatio vond ik redelijk standaard, en eigenlijk niets bijzonders. Doorsnee, maar goed. De ossehaas was erg goed, en keurig opgediend op een verwarmd bord. Lekker mals stukje vlees, in een pepersausje. Vond alleen de groente op het bord wat karig, maar we lekker. Heerlijke zelfgemaakte friet. Als magerecht een ijs met slagroom en aardbeien. Standaard spuitroom uit een fles, maar de aardbeien waren grandioos. Mij vrouw had dezelfde menu keuze, en had alleen een ander voorgerecht. Soep van de dag, die ze erg vlak van smaak vond. Deelde wel mijn mening over de rest van de maaltijd. Sfeer was goed met een heel atente en vriendelijke bediening. Goede ervaring, en hier komen we zeker nog een keer terug.

Really delicious food but the service was disappointing. At one point we asked if we could order food. Took way too long. Then someone took the order, looking kind of irritated.... a bit of a shame for a lunch for which you paid 100 euros.

Unfortunately, we did not have the best experience here. They made a mistake with the drink, which can happen, no problem with that. But then the best thing you can do is apologize and offer to change it instead of acting annoyed. The food in itself is quite dated. On top of it, we had a couple of steaks, one medium, the other medium rare. The first came medium, the second was way over, borderline well done. The vegetables that came with it were mushy and under seasoned. Pity.

I've been coming here for many years and the food is always fantastic! They have a delicious menu from which you can only eat a shared dinner. A quick main course or a delicious extensive dinner, it's all possible. The menu has something for everyone, the sushi is delicious, but the tenderloin tips are also phenomenal! Unfortunately the staff has deteriorated slightly. The former boy group (service) was always very strict. Now you notice that there are some younger workers who still lack the insight and are there to earn their money and not necessarily to make it a top evening for the guest (which is what you expect for their class). They spend a lot of time with each other and less with what is happening around them. As a result, simple things are forgotten, such as placing cutlery or information is recorded incorrectly. Hopefully this will be further refined. But despite that, it is a wonderful restaurant, with a nice terrace, and definitely worth eating. I still enjoy coming there and am already looking forward to the next dinner!

The food was really great! Just put those high chairs somewhere else! Had a wonderful evening, have lived in Zoetermeer for years but have not yet discovered this. The four of us sat at the back of a round table with a sofa. The front part of the bar was incredibly busy (drinks on Friday evening). Food was of very good quality, good wines (Malbec was great) and shared dining was absolutely good!!! Very attentive service, a little less busy would have been nice, therefore a bit longer waiting times between dishes (therefore more wine:) will definitely come back at a quieter time (during the week!!)

As everywhere, spontaneous friendliness varies per employee. Here, with the exception of a few, they were all “just” spontaneously friendly. The Christmas atmosphere was good, the store was nice and warmly decorated. I really didn't like the salmon sushi roll, but I did like the crispy chicken sushi roll. Spare ribs were good and the tenderloin salads were also good. No wow factor but “just” good. Will definitely go back again for lunch or dinner.

Atmospheric restaurant with friendly staff. The tenderloin was delicious and the fries were well cooked. The only downside, which I classify as service: I had emailed in advance whether there was enough choice for someone with a gluten allergy who is also pregnant and that was no problem. Then you expect her to have more to choose from than just the veggie pokebowl and the diamond tenderloin skewer (which for a pregnant woman must be well done and then not tasty at all). That was a shame, but otherwise a nice restaurant

We had a sandwich with spread, which was tasty. Sushi salmon but I will never have this again, there was only cucumber in the inside and salmon on top for €17.50. Taste wasn't great either. We also had risotto, which was lawless but tasted fine. And finally the burrata with peach, but this was also disappointing. Bottle of white wine €33 a bit on the high side, also because there is little choice in the wine range. The bill €85 for lunch, unfortunately not for us again.

Nice thing. Asset for Zoetermeer. Food was generally good. A bit pricey for shared dining. Then there are better alternatives in the region. I thought the dumplings were burnt (black). I reported it, but nothing was done about it. That just can not be.

Had another good lunch, food never disappoints. A good dry rose was also offered in addition to the fine beers.

Lekker eten en vriendelijke serveersters. I visited while continuing my search for Dirk, who has gone missing in Western Europe. I do not know who the mysterious Jofel is but they seem to have a plan to take over the Netherlands. There are now multiple “Class by Jofel” restaurants across the country and I feel Jofel will not rest until the land is gekoloniseerd. The staff are friendly and well trained, the restaurant has had no expense spared on the decoration and interior design. The food is very good, but I don’t think it quite makes a jump to fine dining. One thing that I personally found to be challenging was the music. It was a little too loud but the choice of music was too similar. Every song has the same beat and after a while it felt like Jofel themselves was standing behind you, slapping the back of your head like a drum in 4/4 time. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I will visit again in the future, potentially with Dirk.

Heerlijk buiten op het terras gezeten. Heerlijk broodjes vooraf. Hoofdgerecht was minder. 1 kreeg de verkeerde salade dus kon toekijken hoe wij alvast gingen eten. Mijn ossenhaas was niet goed rook al niet lekker en de smaak was vreselijk. Kreeg een nieuwe met een excuus. Ik zou dan een drankje van de zaak doen maar dat kon er niet vanaf. Bij een andere tafel ging er ook iets terug. Gelukkig geen last van het eten gehad maar je zou er goed ziek van kunnen worden. Geen jofel meer voor ons

Lekker een keertje eten met vrienden bij jofel. Zag er goed uit op de foto s van de site. Wat een vreselijk ervaring hebben we daar gehad. Naast het slechte eten waar ik 3 dagen last van heb gehad dan ook nog die vreselijke bediening van die ober die daar een beetje saggerijnig zijn werk staat te doen. Wat mijn betreft nooit meer daar.
