I think it's such a shame that the atmosphere and food are good. Especially the location. But this place doesn't do well on weekends. We waited an hour after ordering lunch. Such a pity, I hope it can be improved.

For our wedding, we ordered eight cakes from De Bakkerswinkel, and we are incredibly satisfied with how everything went. Our carrot cake served as the wedding cake and was beautifully decorated with flowers. Additionally, we were able to add our own cake topper, making it truly our own, perfect wedding cake. The result looked stunning and tasted just as good. Instead of one large wedding cake, we thought it would be nice to let our guests sample different flavors. That is why we chose eight different cakes from De Bakkerswinkel's extensive range. There was something for everyone, and our guests loved picking their own favorites. All cakes, except the carrot cake, had already been neatly cut into slices beforehand. The slices were deliberately made slightly smaller so that everyone could taste multiple flavors. That worked perfectly and was greatly appreciated by our guests. The practical side was also excellently arranged. Although we only placed the order about three weeks before our wedding date, everything went smoothly. The communication was friendly, clear, and fast. We were able to pay in advance, and for a very reasonable amount, the cakes were neatly delivered to our wedding venue. That gave us a lot of peace of mind in the run-up to the wedding. We look back on this experience with great pleasure. The cakes were not only beautifully presented but also delicious. We would therefore wholeheartedly recommend De Bakkerswinkel to anyone looking for something special for a wedding or other festive occasion.

A charming venue with delicious and healthy dishes. Few men. They could increase their turnover if they came by sometime and asked, "Is there anything else I can do for you?" We'd probably have wanted another cup of tea and a piece of cake.

I made a reservation for a high tea in the upstairs room for four people over three weeks ago. When we arrived, the room was occupied. The lady who helped us told us they hadn't been aware of this. It was clearly stated when I booked, wasn't it? We were taken to the back of a very crowded room and then were given a table in a very crowded area. "That's not going to happen," she said. "Madam, let's go." "No, that's not possible because the food has been reserved." Yes, we had a reservation, ma'am. We were given a table in a small hallway, but okay, that was manageable. The high tea wasn't great, and after about an hour and a half, we had to pay €140. Crazy, never again. It would have been a pleasant atmosphere and the high tea was definitely not worth the money. It's a real shame, I won't be back.

Just sat waiting for fifteen minutes without being served. There was only one other table (who were served).

We had to wait a really long time for our order to arrive. The quiche was okay, but we had to pay separately for the raw vegetables. The other order, two sandwiches with cheese; super thinly sliced ​​bread and 1 1/2 slices of bread with a small sprig of greens, cost a hefty 8 euros? The service was friendly, though. We received an apology for the long wait. Total: almost 40 euros for one cup of coffee, three teas, and two lunch dishes.

I booked online for Christmas Day for a group of about 15 people after a funeral. To my great surprise, the owner called me an hour after booking, and he very pleasantly discussed all the options. We were given a separate, private room. From start to finish, everyone provided us with excellent service and professionalism. Delicious appetizer platters provided a wonderful ending to our less-than-ideal day. A huge compliment to all the staff, and thank you again!

It said on the website that it was open on Christmas Day, we traveled 2 hours and it was closed, very disappointing, this is a real shame...!!!!!

Good coffee and nice atmosphere!

We were in the restaurant, and the service took a long time. We wanted to have breakfast there, but the service took so long that we didn't get around to it. We were early and it wasn't busy. Our complaint wasn't taken seriously; they thought it was a shame but didn't do anything about it.

We had a very cozy and lovely high tea with colleagues. It was exceptionally well taken care of; there was a bit too much, but we were allowed to take the leftovers home. It is a beautiful space with character and decorated with care. The service was very enthusiastic, with explanations regarding everything that was there and how it was made.

Nice place with a good selection of pies, quiches, sandwiches, and so on. Just a really good place for breakfast/lunch.

I came here 45 years ago and it's still great fun.

We arrived right after opening; the best spots hadn't been set up yet, so we had to sit at the front of the lunchroom. We had arrived specifically for the nicest room at the back. Taking our order took 30 minutes, even though we were among the first. Then they forgot my food; after half an hour we asked where it was, and I lost the receipt. I was supposed to be allowed to choose something because they had forgotten me, but they forgot that too.

Lunch was fine. Later, when I studied the receipt, I wondered what the €3.50 open counter charge meant.

What a lovely, cozy place. From the outside, it looks like a small, narrow building, but once inside, you can walk all the way straight ahead. Along the way, you come across all sorts of things: a conservatory, live birds, a beautiful, long, large garden with lovely plants and flowers, and a garden house. The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly, with everyone ready to chat. I will definitely be back here again.

What a lovely location with a great atmosphere. We sat in the conservatory for high tea. It was delicious and more than enough. The price was reasonable, but you could stay as long as you liked. We did have to ask for more tea ourselves, which they only brought at the beginning.

In a word, too bad! I went there for lunch a few years ago, great then. But it has deteriorated a lot. It was a very hot day, got the ice tea warm and also had no ice cubes. The food was just not tasty. This was also communicated and got an 'oh' is the recipe of the boss.

It was very quiet so there was not much atmosphere, the savory chicken pie (actually a quiche) was tasty, but the dressing on the salad was a bit sweet in comparison. It would be nice to be there again, I don't think it had been for 20 years.

Had lunch today with 5 people. Table inside was fine but isolated from the busy terrace outside. Had to wait more than an hour for 5 sandwiches. No attention from the staff, not informed of the waiting time, had to ask after 45 minutes for a second round of tea, when asked where the air went, a short: yes, it's coming, they are working on it now.........25 minutes for 5 sandwiches later. The location is really cozy. The food is tasty. The service is lacking. We entered the store, but the lady behind the counter continued her work. The waitress came from serving customers and politely asked if she could visit us. No acknowledgment that we were new to the store, even though we still had our coats on. We walked around the store looking for our agreed party. No other ministry acknowledged our presence. I wanted to use the toilet, but there was no indication where it was. When asked, it was explained neatly. When the others arrived we were shown to our table. Nothing was offered to us, when our high tea was brought after 30 minutes, the waitress did not know what we were being served, otherwise it would be tasty. She was right about that. Some tea bags were brought. During the two hours we were there, the waiter never once came by to ask if we needed anything. We had to go to the kitchen to ask for more hot water and tea bags.

Today we had a baby shower high tea for 15 people spread over 2 tables, one table received 1 pot of tea and a pot of coffee, our table received nothing. Then asked for a pot of tea after waiting an hour and a half, they said there were 4. Well, not and when you told the person who finally brought them, she walked away grumbling and insulted and we were actually called a liar. There was a nice waitress, but unfortunately we had 2 grumpy women who didn't feel like it, I think. Too bad because the location was great

Nice place to have lunch in the middle of the Dorpsstraat. The decoration is not very modern, but attractive. Service was friendly. Top place for a delicious lunch for a reasonable price. I like places with an informal character and this is certainly one of them! At the back of the store you are surrounded by greenery and you hear special birds singing. Very nice young man served us. The Dorpsstraat in Zoetermeer is "old" Zoetermeer, much nicer than the city "heart" and the Bakkerswinkel is a gem. Highly recommended!

There was a lot on the menu, but due to diabetes, unfortunately it was not possible to choose something. When we asked for a regular sandwich with cooked and raw vegetables, we had difficulty preparing it and were unable to do so. It was very busy and little attention was paid to guests. In the summer I went regularly and enjoyed my surroundings and often made tasty sandwiches when asked, but these were unfriendly. Shame. Rush....

It is a cozy lunch restaurant and great for high tea. They have gluten free which is positive. However, I miss the normal bread. They only have sourdough bread. I don't like that. Too bad there is no choice.

High tea was delicious, too bad there was silver paper in the cheese cake...and too bad about the easy reaction. Atmosphere could have been nicer, I think it depends on where you sit, service we always had to shout ourselves, well, less so.

The dishes were put down behind us with terrible noise. Wasn't nice, we sat very close to each other. Ales from the High tea were on 2 tables where we sat with 7 ladies. Very unfortunate. Will not come back here again

This initially small-looking shop in the village street actually houses a cozy and complete dining facility with an outdoor terrace and even an aviary. When you enter, you are first surprised by the extensive range of goodies and a warm greeting. If you then walk on to choose a nice spot, you will see how "deep" this store is. It actually extends several meters to the rear. Something you don't expect at the first glance of the store. We recently attended with a group of 20 people. I was amazed at the speed with which we were helped and served. Compliments to the friendly ladies who helped us. We had a delicious meal and drinks.

What a lovely place for a party! We celebrated my mother's 70th birthday here yesterday with a family brunch. The staff is extremely helpful and committed. Upon arrival there was a nice long table ready. The food and drinks were tasty. Especially the scones, tarts and quiches. The help and service of the staff made it an unforgettable afternoon. I would definitely recommend this place for brunch!

Great restaurant with a French atmosphere. I really felt like I was in Paris! So nicely done, the garden and the canopy with grapes. Definitely come back here! The service was also nice and the food and wine were good!

Faded glory. No idea if the store has changed hands, but this is a shame. Where it was always distinctively good, tasty and pleasant. It is now expensive, dirty and disappointing. Bread was old. Toppings were meager. Serving jam in paper mayonnaise cups is unacceptable. The lemon curd was mealy, could it be cornstarch that was put in it?? And 1 tub of butter for five thin old slices of bread. Sigh.

Had lunch in this cozy looking tent. It was just not a warm welcome, the lady at the counter said everything she had to say, but it was not warmly received. When looking at the menu I noticed that it wasn't exactly cheap. But for that price you didn't get particularly tasty food. Afterwards the lady asked if I enjoyed it, so I said so. For example, the salad had virtually no ingredients, except lettuce. I couldn't find the tomato on the mozzarella sandwich. Price/quality ratio is currently below par, I would say. I won't be coming back to this place anytime soon.

Unfortunately, the Bakkerswinkel is disappointing, orders were not served or were served too late. Lunch was particularly poor for what you have to pay for it. 2 sturdy sandwiches as stated on the menu with old cheese was no more than 2 slices of brown bread with a slice of cheese and that for €8.25. I know everything is becoming and is more expensive, but this really missed the point. Furthermore, the Bakkerswinkel is a nice store and I hope it was a one-off disappointment.

Ik kom regelmatig bij de Bakkerswinkel maar er is iets. Het personeel is compleet verwisseld, de lol is een beetje weg lijkt het. Ze hebben nog steeds lekkere gerechten en taart dat is het niet. Wat vervelend is, is dat je moet zeggen dat je je taart of lunch gelijk wilt hebben met je drinken. Anders krijg je eerst je drinken en als dat op is…. daar is de taart/lunch. Wilt u er nog iets bij drinken? Ik snap de verkoop truck maar als ik koffie met lekker bestel dan wil ik het tegelijk. Dit weekend waren er drie zieken hoorde we en was dat de reden dat alles na elkaar kwam en kreeg ik een extra koffie ivm wachten. Maar het is altijd zo. Sowieso, zeg dan van te voren dat het iets langer duurt of sluit een deel af. Ga ook niet afgeven op personeel wat er wel is (ik heb er een lopen…). Dat is niet oké als leidinggevende.

Faded glory. Recently went in for lunch. First my glass of fresh juice turned out to be chipped so I had to get a new glass, the cutlery was dirty, the next cutlery was in a napkin with a bug in it. We ordered a bouncer and a club sandwich. The bread was so old it was impossible to get through it. We got up to pay properly and leave. The waiter came after us. Did we want to take it with us? Well no. Indicated what we thought was wrong. The manager was called and he claimed that the bread was fresh. The bread is really crumbling apart from misery, so it's really not fresh. In the end I only paid for the drinks. We won't go here again

Het eten is heerlijk maar... De koffie wordt gereserveerd als "Haagse Bakkies". Halve kopjes koffie en personeel vond het normaal dat bij ons de Latte macchiato een halve beker was en bij onze buurvrouw wel een volle beker. "Daar kunnen we niets aan doen, dat doet de machine". Ook bij het verzoek om de gereserveerde lunch zonder brood te doen, werd aangegeven dat ze dat niet konden doen omdat de leidinggevende niet aanwezig is. En dan nog maar niet spreken over de valpartij die een mevrouw had omdat haar tafel en stoel veel te dicht bij het trappetje stonden. Ook hier was het respons van het personeel ronduit belabberd.

Take a look in the garden with the chickens and at the bosom, very old apple trees, cherries and the Judas tree on the terrace. The forest house and the cozy seating areas on the lawn. The roses and grapes grow back. It's a lot of maintenance but the fun of doing it is good.

Where you can sit in the super cozy shop, the beautiful conservatory and apparently they also have a beautiful garden where you can sit, but during this visit we sat in the conservatory with the cheerful Twitter of the birds.
