Coffee Corner in Oud-Strijp

The atmosphere and furnishings are ideal for studying: modern, quiet and cozy. The food was okay, but not special. The coffee was delicious though! Unfortunately we had to go to the bar ourselves to order coffee and ask the staff to come to our table to order the sandwiches. This made the experience a little less. In short, a great study tent with excellent food and delicious coffee!

During brunch, there was a piece of glass in my sandwich. After receiving a new one, again I stumbled upon a piece of glass in my mouth after I took a bite. The cafe was understaffed and did not seem to know how to deal with the situation correctly. However, the food without glass was nice.

Food is so poor. I wanted to have a breakfast, and they got nothing, only very poor and not well baked peace of banana bread. Personal not very welcoming.

AVOID! After waiting for the cafe to open (until around 8:40), a person came and told us that he didn't know when they will be open. And the whole time when we stood in front of the door there was a lady inside who didn't tell us anything.

Avoid avoid avoid. Unfriendly staff, unwelcoming cafe.

5.50 for half a piece of banana bread is of course absolutely ridiculous. They have no passion there. I wanted to take something breakfast to go but apart from a few measly pieces of banana bread they had nothing. This is better arranged at any other coffee shop. A deception.

This place is easily accessible and the atmosphere is very nice and cozy. I drank a cappuccino and had a croissant, and both were delicious, and worth the price.

Great coffee and fresh food, one waiter who was very helpful when ordered, she was also busy making coffee for other clients. Lovely place to work and enjoy some quiet time 😌

Yesterday afternoon I actually received a very nice high tea from a friend at the Coffee Corner. However, the service was poor from the moment we entered, we first had to wait 10 minutes before we were helped. The staff walked by, even though it was not busy at all, but did not welcome us. Eventually we approached an employee and asked if we could take a seat somewhere. After waiting for about half an hour without anyone from the waiter coming by, my girlfriend walked over to the waiter herself to indicate that we were coming for a high tea. The employee indicated that he had not received a reservation for a high tea. We were able to show our reservation confirmation via email (reservation made two weeks ago) and reminder confirmation email of our reservation. The employee indicated that he could not do anything for us, despite our reservation confirmation, and so we were very disappointed and shown the door without apologies. So there went our lovely afternoon... all in all a bad impression, I will never come back here.

I come here regularly to drink good coffee and enjoy the quiet atmosphere. Staff is friendly and above all customer-oriented.

What a cozy place! Service was very friendly and helped us well. Delicious coffee, also lactose-free options. We loved the pancakes and the cheesecake!

Unfortunately, lunch was very disappointing. It was certainly not due to the service, which is simply good, friendly and Dutch-speaking. However, the sandwiches are sparsely filled, 1 thin slice of Mortadella, cheap mozzarella and a slice of tasteless bread does not match the price of € 11.95. We also ordered a Caesar salad for €14.50 which did not meet expectations. The dry small pieces of chicken, the ready-made “Caesar salad dressing”, mini croutons and iceberg lettuce are far from a filling meal salad. A big step can really be taken to justify the prices on the menu. Hoping for fewer ready-made sauces, dressings and components and more focus on rich, good-quality toppings.

Both online and on the ticket behind the window, opening times start at 8:30 am. We have adjusted our plans accordingly, but once we arrive at the door (at 9:30 AM) the door is locked and the employees do not open it. No one provides explanations, not recommended!

Hele fijne plek waar je gezellig met een middelgrote groep kunt genieten van een koffietje en wat lekkers. Personeel is erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk!

Lovely food, tasty coffee, friendly service, but it's frequently just closed up during regular opening hours with a note in the door to apologize, which makes it difficult to use as a place to meet.

This cafe is perfect for students & adults who want a place to work peacefully. The servers are very nice,helpful and honest. You should definitely try on a rainy day!!!

I don't understand why so many people say this about this place. I've been there 3 times now and 3 times it was nothing. The first two times took a long time before we could order and the chicken sandwich I had was absolutely not fresh, there was hardly any chicken on it and the chicken on it was hard and tasteless. Roasted onion and sauce, on the other hand, in excess which should have been the other way around for me. I've been there once with my baby and it all just takes too long. There were 3 tables in total! Staff are more concerned with each other instead of with the customer. As far as I'm concerned, you don't have to walk around with a fake smile all day, but you can try to be friendly. I gave it 3 chances but after 3 disappointments that's it.

The cafe was lovely, I visited it twice. My only complaint is that they don't give sugar with a coffee right away, and you have to go ask for it every time or get it from the cash register. Really unconvenient for clients.

There is too less employees during the weekends. It takes very long before being approached by the waiter. Last time we just left after waiting very long.

This was a nice experience for me. Cappuccino 5/5, staff 5/5 and atmosphere also 5/5. Very customer friendly. Thanks for the experience.

First time Coffee Corner, heard of it but never been. Only been there once? Very nice place, good menu and tasty cappuccino. Carrot cake was absolutely fantastic! There is one disadvantage, take an example from others. Stop charging too much for milk substitute! (I find it strange to ask for money for this at all in this day and age.) I will definitely come back again to test the rest of the menu (in different steps haha)

Not much special - there are better options within a 5 minute cycle radius. Avocado & Egg toast is served with a dead-boiled egg instead of poached. It's simple and for the price I expected more. In addition, the black coffee was indistinguishable from a machine -- too deeply roasted and flat. The atmosphere and service are nice, as are the cakes.

Nice warm place where you can have a delicious breakfast and lunch. Drinking coffee with the kids or nice as a work spot if you want to get out for a while. The high tea is highly recommended, but actually everything is delicious! The homely atmosphere really completes it and makes me enjoy coming here!

I always like to come here for a nice coffee and some me-time. The atmosphere is so relaxed and the staff so friendly that they even know my regular order. High tea has recently been added to the menu. Of course, I immediately dragged my boyfriend along to try it. TASTY!! Highly recommended.

er waren best wel goede keuzes. qua eten maar ik vind wel dat het personeel niet vaak hoeft te komen naar je tafel. heel fijn natuurlijk maar ik zelf zag het gebeuren dat een van de collega´s telkens onderling aan het praten was over je collega. en zelfs zat zij achter de bar heel de tijd een kopje koffie te drinken .

Lekkere koffie en een goede lunch gehad, bediening heel vriendelijk. Zeker een plek om terug te komen als we in de buurt zijn.

Heerlijke cake met een drankje gehad hier en het is een aanrader. Personeel is vriendelijk en de kwaliteit van het eten en de drankjes is hoog. Kom hier zeker vaker terug!

Red Velvet cake is definitely not fresh. A big disappointment.

Een gezellig plekje. Veel opties voor eten en drinken. Er kan ook gewerkt worden, er zijn stroompunten aanwezig. Voor glutenvrije opties weet ik niet of er broodvervangers zijn maar de yoghurt en acaï bowl kunnen zonder granola besteld worden.

Very cozy and nice place. Food is also good. Coffee is not so good. Tips for better coffee: * use cold milk when making it cream * don't reuse milk that was foamed once and is leftover, will spoil the coffee * coffee grinding machine needs some adjustments to get better extraction. Conclusion: has great potential but I would either send the staff to a basic barrista course or hire a barrista.

Fijne tent waar je heerlijk een middagje kan werken met een lekker koffie'tje erbij. Verder werkt er gezellig en vriendelijk personeel wat de sfeer ook mooi maakt. Top aanwinst voor Strijp-S!

Hele relaxte vibe hier met een gemixt publiek: met mensen die koffie of thee komen doen en gezellig bijpraten, mensen die komen lunchen of werkenden/ studenten die aan het studeren/ werken zijn. Wilde hier een uurtje komen werken maar ben blijven zitten omdat het hier beter is dan thuis en op kantoor (nu). Voelt ongedwongen, eten is lekker (bananenbrood: aanrader), service is meer dan prima.

Fijne plek om te werken, grote tafel in een wat afgesloten ruimte. Goede sfeer, nette bediening, lekkere thee!

Nice atmosphere, good coffee and good value for money. Yummy sandwiches too:) 4 stars instead of five since the sandwiches did take about 40 minutes to make, however everything else is really nice! Also a good place to work on your laptop, you can sit anywhere and there’s outlets at every table.

Took a bit long before we finally had our lunch. It was not too crowded but it did seem understaffed. The sandwich was good, but the portions are a bit under what you would expect for the price.
