Worst experience ever. Not a hello. Not a smile. Just 2 person behind the bar staring at us. They need to attend a 1on1 course on hospitality.

Nice little specialty coffee shop with a great selection of roasts and — from what I could tell — an owner who really knows his craft without being overbearing. Exactly how it should be. A lovely spot to sit down and enjoy a great cup of coffee.

Beautiful coffee, beautifully served by a wonderful person who is also a barista.

We had a great time; the barista was super friendly and answered several of my questions. The espresso was pretty good, it's a shame there weren't more options for tasting, but we still bought some coffee to take back to France as a tasty souvenir of our visit. The place is small, but we were lucky with our stroller.

It is a small place and it was already quite busy. The seating is a bit cramped when the place is full. The lady behind the bar was very friendly. Cookies had just come out of the oven; they were delicious. The coffee was on the sour side and the cappuccino could have been a bit hotter.

The girls were so nice. I asked for a Matcha and when they told me they didn’t have any, but then they offered me a dirty chai and OMG, best decision ever!. I think this is one of the best coffee places in Haarlem, highly recommended!

Amazing experience! The coffee was great, and the guy working there was incredibly friendly. He took the time to explain their concept, the coffee beans, and the story behind how they started the shop, which made the visit feel really special. Their beans are light to medium roasted, which gives the coffee a really different, smooth experience without the usual bitterness. You can really feel the passion behind what they do. Highly recommended, I’ll definitely be back!

I come here regularly for the coffee. Really good for the price, and always served by a charming girl. Edit: it depends for me who is behind the counter. Twice I had to deal with a woman who seems to immediately think less of me. The first time, when I was the only customer there, she and her colleague were really loud and I heard him say "oh wait, did I use the right milk?". The second time was like she didn't understand a single thing I was saying. Such a bummer when you feel alienated like this.

The coffee tasted like vinegar. The cakes weren't good. They don't make Americanos, only Americanos. It's unbelievable that coffee shops don't offer this option! It's basic. Espresso isn't suitable for the morning, and the Americano is awful. I'm disappointed.

I come by here almost everyday, their coffee is delicious and the staff is super sweet! Best coffee in Haarlem, definitely worth a visit :)

👮‍♂️, all dogs on leashes on public roads are fined €180!! That dog is neglected without a leash and poses a danger to all road users. From now on, I'll be playing in front of my (birth) house in Frederikspark without a leash or in the Grote Hout. I've already taken official action, so prepare yourself. No, I'm not with my dog, nor with my idiotic life. You just give me a hard shove and try to throw my new phone on the ground, and then lie and seek attention from bystanders who saw all this happen!! Put that dog on a leash. From here on, it's only going to get harder! A week ago, you just followed me around like a sneak and deliberately let your dog run into us from behind with that loose dog. Listen, is your dog walking near me again without a leash? And who knows, maybe I'll do the same. 🫏 Leave me alone. It's a good thing I was with my dog, otherwise you would definitely have gone swimming. 🤣 I was sitting quietly on the bench with my dog, and you're harassing me. First, your dog is all over us, and then you're with your big mouth. I asked if you were finally going to use a leash, and I got an argumentative response.

Super cozy place. Great location. Authentic atmosphere. It’s equally pleasant whether you come alone or with company. Relaxed staff who let you enjoy your coffee, tea, or excellent cakes without disturbance. Highly recommended!

Great quality coffee and small snacks. There was a bit of a wait (lunch time) - this little place gets very busy, but the barista did a great job handling everything!

There were six of us, which seemed impossible, but we managed it. They served delicious coffee, cappuccino, tea, and cake for everyone. The service was incredibly friendly, we'd definitely go back!

The coffee from Manhattan Coffee Roasters was delicious again. It went from very busy to quiet to very busy, and you just kept doing your job so calmly. A top-notch business.

Real coffee ☕ place with Columbia, Ethiopia & Nogeria coffee beans. It smell like coffee and not like Starbucks. Have very limited options for deserts, but enough to choose. Service was very fast and friendly. Go here if you can wait (can be crowded on a weekend) and you want real cup of coffee.

Used to be great, but sadly hired arrogant Amsterdam style staff that’s treats you like shit if they don’t like what you’re interested in (in this case decaf, wanted to try it at home for the first time in my life)

Too many people, some of the tables are not comfortable and are too close to each other. The coffee was good, but there was nothing acceptable from the food, only banana bread and something like that. The staff was so busy that at first they counted me 2 coffees instead of one, but of course everything was quickly fixed 🥹

It was a good first experience. The service was great and friendly, and even though it wasn't open yet, I was able to sit down. I'll definitely be back soon.

I got cappucino but it’s quite warm not as hot as i expected. But i like the coffee. The ambiance also nice but quite small,since it was cold outside everyone wanted to sit inside so hopefuly one day can move to bigger space coz i think lot of people love this place too

The weather was great, and we sat comfortably on the terrace. We were served by Liam, a "very nice guy" with a great sense of humor. The toasted sandwiches were delicious with a spicy ketchup sauce. The coffee was the best 👌👌. All in all, we'll definitely be back. Later that day, we also visited the other Coffee Habits.👌☕️🥳

I ordered a tea and a latte macchiato with oat milk. The tea was fine and served nicely. The coffee, however… it was lukewarm when served. When I complained, they topped it up with regular milk, not the oat milk I'd ordered. When they returned it, it was 2 degrees warmer, but still far too cold. I had to pay €8.30…

Rude and entitled staff reply to a question with either a smirk or a grunt.

A cozy little café run by a passionate coffee enthusiast. The space is tiny but full of charm. The coffee was excellent, without a doubt the best we had in the Netherlands. A real hidden gem for anyone who appreciates quality coffee.

Had the best, the nicest experience here! The coffee is to die for, the food (we took some baked goods next to our coffees) is amazing - fresh, light, lots of flavor, moist. Music was nice and added a nice touch to the atmosphere. The waiters there are super friendly, which adds up to the good service. Everything was so nice that we needed to take some bannana bread, pain ou chocolate and a red velvet cookie to-go. We sat outside next to the entrance and had the best view of the people oh Haarlem. To conclude, nice place to have a laid back morning coffee, get to know the locals and just enjoy the moment while being in Haarlem.

Very friendly service, even German-speaking. We had good coffee and a bread with blueberries. It was busy and located in a busy pedestrian zone. Coffee to take home is also available for purchase.

Sometimes it gets busy and they struggle a bit with replying to questions, which is understandable. But I first met banana bread in the Netherlands here so either it’s really good, or my memories make it taste even better. And the coffee? No questions there. Pretty solid, very consistent.

I usually really love coming here - the coffee is always great, and it’s one of my favorite spots. But just wanted to mention something from this past Sunday. I came by to quickly grab a coffee to go, since I didn’t have time to sit down. There were 2 young girls working behind the counter, and after taking my order, it took quite a long time to get my coffee - mainly because they were first serving everyone who was sitting on the terrace or inside. I understand that the team might have been following the order in which the requests came in, but still, the idea of takeaway coffee is to save time and get going quickly. In this case, it took much(!) longer than expected. I really do enjoy this place and will definitely keep coming back. Just hope maybe takeaway orders could be handled a bit faster in the future.

Super staff! Kiki in Kleine Houstraat saved my life, helped me charge my phone, which I needed desperately to find my way back to Amsterdam and advised super professionally on choices of coffee and served perfectly barista, yummy!!! Waitress of the month! Triple A!

The place lacks style: a rough wood interior, clearly focused on cost-cutting. I'm no coffee connoisseur, but it was always a disappointment. The service isn't fast, but it's always attentive and friendly. It doesn't open until 8 a.m., but apparently almost all cafés in Haarlem sleep in and start late.

When one waits 5 minutes to order an iced latte on a hot day in this sweltering coffeehouse, one is quite disappointed to receive a warm latte with a single ice cube.

My noice cancelling earphones were not able to cancel out the music. That's how incredably loud it was. I came to try out their yogurt bowl, but after ordening my very average tasting flat white I couldn't take the noice anymore. Very disappointed for a place selling specialty coffee.

Nice place to sit in the sun. Service was not very fast but luckily we were not in a hurry. We ordered the toasted sandwiches on Afghan bread. Unfortunately there was nothing Afghan about it....furthermore not much taste to the sandwiches.

Coffee was great, besides: all credits to the staff there. Absolute recommendation. Illustrative sidenote: if they show you the door at Dille & Kamille when your 3-year-old needs to go to the toilet > run around the corner to Coffee Habits, because they will save you here. Buying coffee was not even necessary, they said, but order anyway, because you really don't want to miss it. Tip(s)!

I do not understand other positive reviews. The coffee is awful. It is so sour, like the filter was never cleaned. Maybe if you put milk and sugar in the drink it might mask it, but it does not appear to me as a good coffee. The service is questionable and slow, the place itself is very small and it does not give good atmosphere to sit and drink.

Coffee Habits is the kind of café you wish you lived above. Great coffee, cozy vibes, music that makes you want to Shazam everything, and a carrot cake that actually tastes like someone cared; none of that dry, forgettable stuff. Came in hoping for a cold brew… they didn’t have enough, so they handed me a half glass for free. Who does that? Absolute legends. And before I could even think, they offered my toddler a babyccino; felt like they read my mind and my parenting fatigue. Warm service, thoughtful touches, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay for “just one more cup.” If I lived in Haarlem, I’d be a regular. Scratch that, I might just move.

Beautiful place to sit and have a coffee. The cold brew comes with a nice big ice cube and the espresso is top notch, strong and tasty. Staff is very friendly and the space has lots of seating both indoors and out in front. Clean bathroom as well
