Colors World Food in Centrum

Had a nice lunch. A nice menu, the dishes are a bit more unusual than at most restaurants.

There is a church in front of the open-air cafe, and I had two cups of coffee in the warm sunshine. The server was very kind, and the coffee tasted great. I would like to thank the owner and staff for giving me such a wonderful memory as a foreigner.

Cozy place to eat. Many small bites that are also nice to share. Moreover, there are a great many vegetarian options to choose from.

An incredibly nice restaurant! Lovely service, and they have a wonderful terrace! Tasty food😋😋 It is a very beautiful concept and that means we will definitely come back again!

We have eaten here several times already. Lots of choice and the food was delicious.

The food here is always very good. It is a bit noisier downstairs than upstairs.

We ate at Colors today for the first and last time. The starter was okay but nothing special. The main course, the Moroccan beef stew with plums, was nothing special... just dry meat without any sauce or vegetables on a boring couscous... the plums were missing, according to the waitress probably overcooked... but she wasn't sure. The Surinamese shrimp curry was well-spiced but the coconut sauce was curdled and very runny, and 6 shrimp could not be called a main course. All in all, not worth a repeat visit for us.

Unfortunately, I forgot to serve my main course.

On February 8th (2026), I celebrated my birthday at the Arboretum Wageningen. Over 44 guests attended, and the lunch and drinks were all catered by Colors World Food. My compliments! It was excellently organized, everything was spotlessly clean, and everything was delicious. The guests also absolutely loved it. Highly recommended! Rosalie Snijer

A disappointing appetizer of barely warmed ready-made naan with slices of cold duck breast. Even more disappointing were the main courses: Moroccan tagine and Moroccan beef stew. Barely seasoned, soulless, and reheated without love. An insult to Moroccan cuisine. The "concept" is probably a good business model. This isn't the place to go for good food.

Went there for the research group's Christmas dinner. While I'm not aware of what order the secretary had placed, I didn't find the food tasty at all. I think there were a lot of different dishes from different countries but none was delicious. Just Dutch interpretation of those dishes rather than authentic tastes. The waiting time between the appetizers and mains was also too long ~30 minutes. Only saving grace was the beer. Even the wine tasted like water.

The food here is delicious, highly recommended.

The kitchen is very slow, and the staff is young and inexperienced. The food is fine and tasty. You just need to be patient.

Cozy restaurant with food from different continents

Me and my dad took the luxoriois suprise menu. This comes with bread, cold dishes, hot dishes and a dessert plate. We liked the bread and dip, the cold dishes were also very flavorful and delicious. The server didn’t really pay attention to our table so only after 20 minutes of finishing our food the table was cleared, only to wait 10 more for the hot dishes. We really liked the böreks with feta and spinach. The rest of the hot dishes felt simple and a little bland. We were pretty full after this round already. The desserts were a bit strange as me and my dad both got complete different things. I got an aperol tiramisu, which I was not a fan of (mind you I’m 17 and don’t like the bitter alcohol taste at all). The red of the dessert was pretty good. All together, most of the food was fine, the service was really slow, but the restaurant had a nice sunny outside seating area.

'We really struck gold' - we were incredibly lucky. The food was already very tasty, but there were also street theater acts going on all around us. The various dishes looked beautiful - colorful and everything tasted delicious. Great herbs and a wide variety of vegetables and meat/fish. The service was 'tip-top' ("are you already familiar with our concept?") friendly and pleasant (despite my silly remarks). And then the acts; in the distance acrobatics in the large rings / to our right the diabolo king (sounded German through his English) a little further away the 'fire-breather'; it was simply amazing. How would it have tasted without this setting!? #very tasty! Thx

We dined on the terrace and tried the extensive menu. Certainly delicious, but not particularly surprising. All in all, okay, and a plus: the price was very reasonable.

This afternoon I had a delicious lunch with my girlfriend. We had chosen a share lunch and because my girlfriend is vegetarian we had a vegetarian one. I can recommend it to everyone, we really left satisfied. Thanks to everyone from Colors World Food.

Super delicious vegetarian lunch with a group! We forgot to tell in advance that two people in our group eat gluten-free, but this was taken care of very quickly and well.

One of the best places to eat in Wageningen while getting a fabulous mix of food. My friend and I ordered a couple non-alcoholic drinks and the Holland meets Vietnam which was perfectly hot and crunchy with fillings. We also ordered the Naan and the Persian salad, both delicious and fresh. My favorite though was the Surinamese Prawns which were truly the best prawns I have ever tasted! Their texture was not chewy at all, but rather soft and full of flavour. We ended with dessert which was a generous portion of cake and sides. I can't wait to eat here again and try even more delicious food!

Cosy relaxed meal. Nice service. Enormously varied multicultural dishes. If you just want to eat well without fuss, this is the place to be. And quite affordable too.

The staff is terrible!! We waited for the waiter for 20 minutes, there were no people. Then the waitress came and said hello to us, we answered her, she didn't hear, in the end she started to answer very rudely and didn't put me on our table, she threw us on the table with great aggression

Very disappointed with the service. We came for breakfast, but left the restaurant feeling bad. The staff is completely disorganized: we had to wait a long time before anyone noticed us, and we also had to wait for the menu. When the waitress finally came, she started communicating in a strange way — instead of just putting the menu down and giving us some time, she seemed to demand immediate attention. The menu was literally thrown on the table, and when she walked away she made a comment that came across as aggressive and inappropriate. This felt very unpleasant and disrespectful. We left immediately. Not recommended if you value normal hospitality.

Had a delicious meal here with my son. They are a kind of tapas but from different parts of the world. Both vegan and meat dishes. We chose three starters and three main courses to share. Highly recommended. This is one of those restaurants where you can see a bit of the future of our food. The vegan and vegetarian dishes are just as good as meat dishes. On the contrary. I thought the salads with the starters were super tasty and the Moroccan tagine with the main courses was really great.

I put off visiting the restaurant several times because of the mixed reviews. After 2 x group dinners + 1 x private dinner, I would say that all the mixed reviews make sense. The service and atmosphere were indeed very nice. The atmosphere was casual but the restaurant itself is still nice enough for a birthday dinner. Lighting, decoration, etc. and the guests were well taken care of. For the food, I'd say they lean more on fusion dishes rather than authentic flavors, which was absolutely alright if done well. In group dinner I enjoyed all the dishes. Either as multiple courses or buffet. All are well seasoned. For private dinner, appetizers were very tasty and seasoned appropriately (not chilli hot spicy), like the Japanese beef + naan appetizers in the pic. The main dishes on the other hand were very bland, especially after the well seasoned appetizers. We got Thai and Indian curry. The side fries was very oily too. It's like everything is missing a lot of flavour in the second course. Except for the sides, all appetizers and main dishes we ordered were around 8-10 euros/dish It actually deterred us from ordering dessert as we did not know what the taste would be like so we only got coffee, which was decent.

Cozy restaurant, friendly service. We had a shared lunch with 2 people. We wanted vegan and that was possible, 4 dishes, very tasty and a generous portion. Price was okay too.

Good food, but quite limited menu. Great desserts from the pastry jeweler! Nice people. The restaurant is new and does not always work completely efficiently. Take into account long waiting times between courses when it is busy. In my opinion less suitable for groups.

The last time I was with you, I was really looking forward to the dinner that my friend would give me as a gift. Unfortunately we had to stop at the end of October for a drink because it was really too cold inside without heating at around 6.30 pm. Felt bad for the service, who was very friendly, that we were leaving. Will definitely come back, but wait until the cold season is over. I've been here a few times now and it's been very good every time! I always order the colors menu but have never had the same thing.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. And the food... what a lot to choose from! I definitely want to come back for the Iranian fesenjan, wonderfully seasoned, warm, full flavor and incredibly tender chicken. The tostada are also fantastic, I didn't know something with tuna could be so tasty, real flavor bombs. They also have quite a few vegan options. I'm going to want to drag some people here soon!

Nice place where I have eaten several times. You buy small dishes that you share with each other instead of the standard starter, main course and dessert. Been with work over a year ago. As a large group, a vegan menu was put together for us with a special dessert. Afterwards I went several times with friends. Enough vegan options. Flatbread from two weeks ago needs improvement: little taste and little topping for the price.

Had lunch with a group of 9 people with nice different dishes, only the bread was different, one plank was fine, the other very dry. But a delicious meal in a nice atmosphere. So definitely worth repeating.

Friendly staff and tasty food. However, the ‘main’ dishes are really small and therefore cause the food to be quite expensive for what you get. Not sure if I would recommend for diners, but having a few drinks here is nice

Food was fine. Unfortunately, upon entering we had to wait almost 20 minutes before we were seen at all. After eating we had to wait more than 45 minutes before we could pay and we were completely ignored by the staff. Made eye contact with the waiter several times but they seemed disinterested.

After previous excellent experiences with this restaurant, we decided to have a drink on the terrace. Unfortunately, we were completely ignored by the staff, so we ultimately decided to go somewhere else. Shame..

Beautiful restaurant with very good service, beautiful and warm environment, very nice decoration. The staff very friendly and willing to serve you. Good prices, we ate something different, with nice flavors, traditional Dutch food but with a touch of modernity. 3 people ate, drank and paid 55 euros.

Good food. Good service. Very affordable for working people (2 people 3 courses with drink was 56 euros). Many vegetarian/vegan (+-3 per course) options. Penalty for the cocktails. I ordered a Virgin Moscow Mule. Was very little mint which makes it taste like pure gingerale, it was not served in a copper cup and no crushed ice :/. In reality, it is actually decorated gingerale. Too bad, I've had better elsewhere.

It is located on the market in a beautiful location. It is advisable to make a reservation during the weekend. We took the world menu and got all kinds of tasty things that took our preferences into account. The food was more than sufficient.

Had a nice seat and had a reasonable meal. Nice extensive menu to try different things from. I must say that the loaded nachos were really a joke. A small bowl of tortilla chips with a few diced tomatoes and a small strip of melted cheese. Simply not in relation to the price and also not in relation to the quality of the other dishes.

Had a great time at the quiet part of the market in Wageningen. Because that is possible at Colors. The terrace is spacious and sheltered, ideal for a relaxing drink and snack. We went for the dishes on offer. Greek weeks.

The food has always been good in the past, but unfortunately it was much less good last time. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service was correct and friendly, but the price/quality was very disappointing. Many dishes were not well matched in terms of flavors (too much raw fish, too many herbs/spicy) and some dishes were downright greasy and unappetizing. The prices are not up to par. Too bad.

We ordered the colors menu, it was very tasty. The service had already warned us that it would be a lot and it was, more than enough for 3 instead of 2 people, unfortunately we ate everything and then we had pain in our heads. belly. 🫣

Great concept that invites you to try different tastes. For first-timers, it is a bit overwhelming, but luckily, the themed week menu can help there. We tried the Indian menu and enjoyed it immensely!

Really nice place to try some International dishes. The concept is great and it is also executed nicely. We went on a warm summer day, sat outside and served by a wonderful waitress.

A nice place with very tasty food! Gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan options are available, information is clearly indicated on their menu. They cannot guarantee freedom from traces of gluten because they work in an open kitchen and flour is also used. I have celiac disease and was able to eat there without any complaints. Recommended!

Had a delicious vegan lunch with good staff

The service people and atmosphere of the restaurant was great, however a lot of the food served was quite stale and bland. The rice was hard and not properly cooked, and the shrimp was not seasoned well too. The food portions are also small for what you pay for, and note that you'll have to order about three plates to fill you up. The dessert and cake of the day was delicious.

At Colors you can enjoy delicious food. They have a varied menu with which you can share snacks, or choose from a menu, where various snacks are served without the stress of choice. In addition to the food being delicious, the service was excellent. The only reason for four stars is that my seat wasn't super comfortable. Definitely recommended.

Today the colors terrace was one of the few terraces that was completely in the sun all afternoon. You would say that this would be a good opportunity to take advantage of this as a restaurateur, but nothing could be further from the truth. We sat down on the terrace and, after not being helped, walked inside ourselves; it turned out that she did not serve on the terrace, as an exception you can order something at the bar (but not food..). Especially in the time after corona, where restaurants have had a very difficult time, this choice is incomprehensible to me... several people sat on the terrace and walked away again, which is a shame...

This cozy restaurant is located in the beautiful student city of Wageningen, in the center. If you don't like fancy food but don't fancy an average restaurant, then this is the place for you. Limited menu but choice between fish. Meat, vegetarian and a few more. Preferably both, or everyone at the table chooses the same thing. Then you get a table full of delicious things. It starts with delicious bread and an appetizer, which immediately wakes up your taste buds and warms your stomach.

Everything is tasty, but maybe there is something you don't like, no problem. Great environment and nice staff.

Paid way too much for what you get, food was disappointing, tasteless and nothing special. Ate with 6 people and only 1 bowl of each dish, how stingy can you be and then ask for the top prize. Never here again

Delicious lunch with surprising, strange dishes. With delicious flavors.

Been here today, waited a long time for order. Ordered beef tartare, it was disappointing, not much for a lot of money, 9 slices of beef for 9 euros. Nothing fresher and it was on the lunch menu.

We had the surprise menu but we very much regretted it. It was not fresh, starters were much too cold from the refrigerator. Rice from the poke bowl was not sticky and the hot dishes were warmed up but not even properly. It was still half cold. Honestly gave my opinion, but little was done with it. Not recommended. In response to your message, I would like to add that my expectation of fresh does indeed not correspond to reheated dishes. Then it may be fresh products, but it is not fresh on the table. I can't imagine other people thinking differently. The solution offered by replacing it with something that has been reheated (or perhaps even the same for a second time) was not an appropriate solution based on my feedback. There were certainly other options that could have been offered, but deducting that dish or course would at least have been appropriate. As a guest you don't feel heard if you have to pay for something that was cold and simply unacceptable. As far as I'm concerned, getting defensive and putting it down to me is certainly not an appropriate solution within hospitality. If you believe you have done the right thing in dealing with this complaint, then unfortunately my feedback and review has missed the mark. Hopefully this addition will provide some encouragement to do things differently from now on.

Our informal dinner with 7 colleagues at my house was a great success! The menu choice in consultation with the Colors team was great. We also received clear explanations on how to heat the dishes. We enjoyed the 9 dishes. It was also more than enough for all of us. To be repeated.

The food was OKish but the service was quite bad. The waitress was extremely impolite and inpatient although there were very few people at the restaurant. There are definitely cosier and more welcoming places in Wageningen.

Fun and unique concept. Food is fresh and creative. The idea of tasting small bites from so many different cuisines can become very tacky quickly but this restaurant is an example of doing it right. There is plenty of creative vegetarian and vegan dishes with bold flavors. The ambiance of the place is also very cosy and intimate making this a great place for a night out.

It is a beautiful restaurant, what a pleasure to be there. Decorated with taste. We had dinner. The food was nice but not very special. The wine is delicious, but oh well. Staff fine. Next time it will only be on a terrace, I fear.
