The food was delicious and well-made, only a bit disappointing that two of the four dishes were a bit lukewarm while the other two were piping hot. The service was friendly, though we had to ask them to order. The atmosphere was good, but the music was a bit loud. Otherwise, a lovely restaurant with beautiful decor!

Very tasty toast with a generous fried egg and salmon. It also came with two delicious freshly squeezed orange juices. My wife's meal also looked very good. The server was friendly. Our order was taken quickly and brought to our table.

I had fish at Columbus and I swear, it was so good I almost cried. Perfectly cooked, flaky, flavorful—it tasted like it came straight from the ocean and into the hands of someone who really knows what they’re doing. Every bite was pure joy. I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The service was excellent, especially thanks to a very kind and attentive staff member who went out of her way to accommodate my gluten-free diet. She offered a delicious alternative that suited my needs perfectly, which I really appreciated. The food itself was outstanding. Both the fish and the vegetables were incredibly fresh and full of flavor. You could really taste the quality of the ingredients. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone.

The closer to the high water line, the more expensive the coffee and food! It makes sense because of the high costs! But here, a bit further away, on the boulevard, the prices are also not cheap. PLEASE NOTE! At Columbus the pricing is 'normal'. Great chairs, view of the boulevard of Scheveningen. We were served by a very friendly Melina from Düsseldorf. Super! And then the sandwiches, Healthy and Salmon. Very richly filled, delicious bread. Great! That's how it should be! We will definitely come back! Only the seagulls are very cheeky! Be careful, but of course Columbus can't do anything about that!

Check your account carefully after you have withdrawn. I was debited twice, even though 2 mobile PIN devices were not working. Did get money back.

Unfortunately, we only eat pre-prepared foods. Service rather slow. We went there because of the proximity to the beach but I wouldn't recommend it. Unfortunately, I had stomach problems after eating.

We decided to try this restaurant yesterday with friends. The atmosphere is lovely, the waiters are friendly. We waited about 15-20 minutes for our food. The food was really good, and the prices were really reasonable. We ordered the catch of the day, spare ribs, and sea bream. We enjoyed everything, although some of the other people next to us were really annoying because they were in a hurry for their food. But we will definitely come back.

Terrible service last night. I waited an hour and 15 minutes for my food, ridiculous. I thought it was my birthday. But it turned out to be quite different; people were leaving one by one because the staff simply let people wait 15 minutes or longer. People who went to Frozen left without eating. When the food arrived, I thought, "Well, this wasn't worth the wait either." After sitting there for two hours, I paid €96 for a huge disappointment and received no compensation. Not even fries with the spare ribs. The service is lazy and keeps people waiting.

Never again! They forgot the sauce on the carpaccio. The Prime Rib and Round Steak were completely cooked like the sole of a shoe. The Prime Rib was also very small. The server wanted to offer 2 free drinks as compensation. Unfortunately, the manager did not allow this. The server felt very guilty because he had already agreed to this. Shame about the manager! We didn't feel like complaining and just paid the bill. But we will never come here again. A shout out to the lady behind the bar! How enthusiastically she was dancing and singing! She was the reason we didn't argue.

Watery cocktails, inedible desserts, whether crème brûlée, brownies, or even ice cream, all industrial, chosen without any added flavor... not to mention the cafes. Avoid if you're looking for a quality place.

Very disappointing. Ordered kibbeling and fries: main course, large bag of fries with 6 pieces of kibbeling as a side dish. Was very disappointing and the price was 19.50!! Definitely NOT worth repeating! You can eat better kibbeling at a fish stall on the street! And then it's cheaper! But then you can't always sit...

It's a nice bar on the plage the staff was quick and friendly. The mussels and calamari fritty were very good and fresh 👌.

We were at Columbus on New Year's Eve. Fantastic, high-quality food and a lovely atmosphere. The service was outstanding – thank you Andrea, you took such good care of us 🙏 The whole team was cheerful, friendly, and helpful! We 100% recommend Columbus and will definitely be back!

The atmosphere of the cafe was beautiful, so we decided to eat here, but unfortunately, the waiting time for the dishes was too long, namely an hour (one of the dishes we ordered was the soup of the day, usually in other cafes it is brought quickly), we were served by three different waiters, who mixed up some dishes with another table, the dishes were brought when they wanted, so we were not able to eat at the same time… (probably the policy of this cafe: one eats, the other watches and vice versa🤷🏻‍♀️), also the menu has a clear description of the dishes, but it does not match what is brought to you on the plate.

If you like waiting for a very long time for cold food, then you should go in here. After an hour and 10 minutes, my sandwich with fried steak tips was finally delivered. Stone cold! Waitress found it very annoying and offered to bring a new sandwich. However, I didn't feel like having to wait another hour for my food.

We had not made a reservation but were allowed to choose a spot. We took a seat in the front conservatory area on hot seats (heated cushions) next to one of the two working fire stoves. The service was alert and friendly. We only had a main course. Not top quality but the price is also quite low, certainly for the location. The potato gratin was cold. A new one was offered for this. Excellent service.

I was allowed to choose my own table and chose a nice quiet spot in the back. Had a wonderful dinner and was helped by very attentive service who, despite the crowd, sometimes has time for a little interaction.

Columbus is an eatery like so many on the boulevard. Perfect for a lunch without being noticeable. That is different from the Scheveningen boulevard. What a sad atmosphere there is, due to overdue maintenance and a renovation in which the promenade is almost completely closed off from the beach. I admit...it was raining too.

We went there twice because it was very cozy inside by the fireplace in the evenings. Fish of the day and mussels and delicious, fresh fries. The service was very attentive and very friendly.

Location looks cozy. Service could be better, it took a long time before we were served (20 minutes).

After a number of years, we finally had the opportunity to write a review (didn't have a Google account), so we also asked the name of our favorite waitress, Maxi, always service-oriented, friendly and optimistic. Regularly come with a mentally challenged person who she recognizes and who also makes that person very happy, thumbs up when she asks if everything is okay. I suspect she won't work the entire season, so it will be extra fun when the season starts again. The employer can be happy with people like her. By the way, other staff is also nice. I took my main meal to review and a tip also uses other socials to give reviews.

Often had delicious spareribs and the dame blanche in the evening. Too bad the farm boys are off the menu...We often enjoyed cappuccino with apple pie during the day! Always friendly service, especially a blonde girl with a friendly smile!

We were thoroughly spoiled during our lunch last Sunday. Our waitress, Lotte, has the charm and talent you expect when you walk into a restaurant. We'll definitely be back, hopefully with Lotte serving.

Just been snubbed by a waitress from this restaurant, while we were just taking a seat in an open space. They say they don't make reservations, even though there were reservation signs in various places. I would strongly advise against this restaurant, especially due to the foul mouths and language the staff has.

The service wasn't very friendly when we told them we'd been waiting an hour for our food. When we finally got our food, the mussels hadn't been cleaned properly. Several of them still had their beards on them. The fries were soggy. I definitely don't recommend this place.

Nadien nog 2 kleine garnalen gekregen met verse groenten. De bediening was vriendelijk en helpend, maar kon dit ook niet beïnvloeden

Unfortunately we cannot judge how the food was as we were not helped. We sat inside for half an hour, waiting for a waitress to come to us. Twice they walked past without addressing us even though they had seen us. After waiting almost half an hour, 2 people came in, sat down at a table and immediately received the menu. A reason for us to get up and leave. So not the best service. Fortunately, further down the road we received good help and a delicious meal at a Greek restaurant

A while back we had a delicious meal via social deal for a nice price, cozy tent and helpful staff.

We arrived and were seated right away. This is of course very nice. What wasn't so good is that one of the waitresses rolled her eyes at us when she got to the table. This is absolutely not possible. All 4 of us work in the same industry and have never experienced this. The food was incredibly delicious, compliments to the chef and all the chefs.

We ate an excellent piece of steak & entrecote. The starter and main course also came quickly and it was quite tasty. We sat by a fire and that created a good and tasty atmosphere.

Very bad service. The food is reasonable, lots of lettuce with carrot and onion under the carpaccio??? And with spareribs a fixed sauce of sweet and hot, too bad you don't have more choice. You pay too much for the drinks. They don't know how many baileys to pour (1 finger) and forget the ice cubes. If you say that is very poor, they will ask and after a reminder they will come after fifteen minutes with a new drink that they have filled so full of ice cubes that I don't think Baileys was added. And apparently they don't benefit from the sale of the drink either. We were not once asked if we wanted something to drink during the meal. After we finished eating we were not asked if we wanted dessert or if we wanted to pay. We had to ask for everything ourselves.

Catch of the day just ok, spear ribs not a highlight. Side dishes cold and over cooked. Ordered salad but was not served.
