We had dinner at the restaurant. The service was friendly. The food was so delicious, and my wife was very pleased.

Two of the 4 dishes were served much earlier, and were already gone when the rest arrived!

Very nice food, interesting mood

A beautifully decorated restaurant with a super friendly waiter. He had no trouble explaining why I had to pay a little more for my gluten-free pizza. He even showed me the dough, which is specially made for them by an external baker, neatly packaged. The Pizza Italia was delicious! I'm staying in Riemst, Belgium, until mid-February, and I'll definitely go back a few more times to try the gluten-free pasta (and another pizza).

Delicious food. Great service, truly Italian. We even brought our dog along.

Verdict : 👍 We got to Maastricht hungry and eyeing all sorts of sweet foods. We compromised with our collective sweet tooth and chose to have pizza instead. Really, the kids chose. We got a pizza with salami and a pizza alla margherita. The crust was 🧑‍🍳 😘 the sauce was perfect and not acidic. Both pizza hit the spot and were enough to share among the three of us. Their 🌶️ chili oil was flavorful and a medium level spice. If you find yourself at the Maastricht a market, and are looking for a good bite to eat, I recommend you visit Da Geppetto’s. 10/10 recommend!

We were in Maastricht today for a day trip, so we had to eat. We found the Pizzeria-Ristorante Da Geppetto. The menu was clear, the atmosphere was great, and the service was very friendly. The food was excellent, everything was perfect. We highly recommend this restaurant, even though the prices are a bit high, which is due to the location.

We sat outside and ate comfortably and warmly. Among other things, we had a gluten-free pizza and a regular pizza. Both were very good and delicious.

It was incredibly busy, and it showed. (It was during the Christmas market.) Service took a very long time. For example, sandwiches requested with a starter were only brought after a second request. The staff did their best and were generally friendly, but it was simply too crowded. We were a group of eight, and the table we were assigned was very uncomfortable. There was barely any space for the staff. The quality of the food wasn't to everyone's satisfaction.

We've eaten here several times before. This time it was a step up. Super delicious and refined! The flavors in both pizzas were well-balanced, and the pizza wasn't heavy. The staff was very attentive and asked several times if we needed anything else. They didn't sound pushy at all. We initially had a seat by the door, which allowed us to feel the cold outside. Once the guests at another table had left, we were offered that seat. We were given time to enjoy an aperitif before being served our pizza. There was a relaxed atmosphere among the staff, which brought a sense of calm. In short, a great atmosphere, a great setting, and great taste!

Unfortunately, we didn't even have a chance to eat here. We made a reservation in advance, but upon arrival, there was a line stretching out the door. We weren't told what to do, so after waiting fifteen minutes, we went elsewhere.

The pizza was really good, and the waitress was nice.

We had a reservation for 6:00 PM. Our table wasn't available yet, so we had to wait outside. We were already very cold, so we weren't happy about that, but we were also a bit early, so it was no different. After about 10 minutes, there were about seven of us waiting because there was no room (yet). After about half an hour, we were allowed inside. Luckily, it was nice and warm. The bruschetta and pizzas were delicious! That made the wait worthwhile. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant looks cozy. We will definitely be back!

Very rude waiter outside to receive customers, no respect, asking to sit inside, he says no place, then he says if you want you can sit outside, I said no, it's cold, then very rude to me bye bye, disrespectful, receiving customers with a face that almost falls to the ground q

The restaurant is very attractive, and the staff is friendly and welcoming; these were the highlights of our visit. The gluten-free option for pasta and pizzas is also very welcome. On the other hand, the pizza menu is very limited. The pizzas lack creativity and flavor. Considering the high price, we found the value for money unsatisfactory. We were somewhat disappointed by the food.

We were very satisfied! The food was excellent and the service pleasantly unobtrusive – no one constantly checked in to see if everything was alright or if we needed anything. This allowed us to enjoy our meal in peace. Truly superb.

Nice ambiance, the servers are courteous and prompt, the food tastes just as the setting promises; it's delicious and everything is freshly prepared. I had a pizza tonno and the lady had a lasagna. Finally, there was a teramisu, which I highly recommend to everyone. Thumbs up :D

We had a really delicious meal, all the people working there were Italian, you could see straight into the kitchen and everything was done by hand.

We ordered three pizzas: the truffle and honey pizza and the Italian pizza are highly recommended. Our youngest son loved the proscuito pizza. The pizza crusts are crispy and light. We also ordered ravioli with burrata and fresh tomatoes. We all enjoyed our meals.

The restaurant has a distinctive name, as the interior was completely inspired by Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket. It immediately brought back fond memories of the film. Following recommendations on the website for gluten-free pasta and pizza, we ended up here on the cozy terrace! The pizzas were delicious! The staff was friendly, but our daughter, who has celiac disease, ordered pasta and almost immediately felt nauseous, resulting in her being seriously ill in bed! It's so sad that this happens when they claim to serve gluten-free food and it turns out they don't. It should have been a lovely evening, but unfortunately, it ended with a nasty aftertaste!

The staff is friendly and attentive, which certainly contributes to a pleasant first impression. Unfortunately, the overall experience leaves much to be desired, especially when it comes to the atmosphere and quality of the food. What immediately stands out is the high noise level in the restaurant. The boisterous atmosphere, and especially the constant banging of glasses in the dishwashing area, creates a disruptive background that hinders a relaxing dining experience. The food was a mixed experience. The pizza dough had a nice texture but lacked flavor—presumably due to a short maturation time. Furthermore, the Pizza Italia was overloaded with cheese, which compromised the balance and finesse of the flavor. The gluten-free pasta was served in a deep plate, which is fine in itself, but the pasta itself was flat and lacked character. The filled canneloni had a mealy texture and unfortunately, lacked flavor. Moreover, the portions of both the pasta and the canneloni (a total of 5 in a bowl) were too small (we weren't full), especially considering the price. And that's the rub: the prices are steep. A Pizza Italia cost €18.95—a price you'd expect in a refined Italian restaurant rather than in a place that seems to cater heavily to tourists. This makes the price-quality ratio unbalanced. All in all, you can have a good meal here, but don't expect culinary masterpieces. The restaurant seems to rely primarily on its central location, but lacks the refinement and consistency you might expect at this price point. Bruschetta was very tasty. Pasta was al dente but tasty, pizza had little topping. But the drinks were very small and very expensive, €4.50 for 0.2L. Service could be friendlier; we didn't even get a menu at first, but they wanted to take our order. Overall, it was still a nice evening, and the location is top-notch.

The food was disappointing – it was very salty and not really Italian. The atmosphere, however, was very cozy, with lots of "Pinocchio" decorations.

After years of going there and always having a delicious meal, today was a huge disappointment :( The service was friendly as always. But wow, the food was salty and the pasta too dry. We pointed this out, and they took our plates back. After we received a new portion, it was again too salty and dry. We were very disappointed. We were given dessert on the house, which was very kind, of course. I suspect a different chef?

Their pizza is the best. Their GF crust is the best. I had to verify it was GF. The best pizza I have had in months. The restaurant is situated on an old town square. We ate outside under the umbrella. Very traditional. Very European. Very exceptional. We enjoyed everything about the experience. There is an easy to access underground modern parking garage. It serves the market area.

Anlässlich eines Konzertes von André Rieu am 12.7.2025 war Maastricht von Touristen überschwemmt. Im „Da Gepetto“ fanden wir noch 3 Plätze. Das Essen (Ravioli/Pizza/Spaghetti mit Meeresfrüchten) war sehr schmackhaft zubereitet 😋😋😋 Das Personal war - trotz grossem Stress - sehr freundlich 🤩😍👍 Kurze Wartezeit.

Duidelijk een afwerktent voor toeristen. De bestelde wijn kwam niet eens tegelijk met het eten. De Calamari Fritti was droog en carpaccio was bedekt onder een nietszeggende saus. Hoofdgerecht gekozen voor een ravioli die je moest zoeken onder een lading saus. Dit restaurant haalt het gemiddelde helaas niet ! Jammer, niet verwacht.

Mixed feelings about this restaurant. The pasta was tasty and nicely al dente, but the pizza was so greasy that it floated on top of the pizza. Service was not unfriendly, but difficult to reach.

We had one spaghetti with pesto, one with Bolognese, and one with salmon. We also had a mushroom pizza. The pasta portions weren't particularly large, but they were okay. The pasta with pesto and Bolognese were very tasty. The pasta with salmon was with smoked salmon and not quite as tasty. The pizza was very tasty and the portion size was good.

What a gem! I had to look closely, because they have renewed the furniture – but they are still there! What delicious spaghetti: unbelievable, everything is homemade and fresh, and you can taste it! And the people are still as nice as ever. Highly recommended!

Vanavond bij dit restaurant een voortreffelijke pizza Frutti di Mare gegeten. De pizza was rijkelijk belegd met zeevruchten en in een hout gestookte oven gebakken. Echt een aanrader. Overigens was de glutenvrije pizza van mijn echtgenote ook voortreffelijk bereid en smaakvol. Toppie.

Day in Maastricht during Whit Monday. The weather was beautiful, the terrace was full, luckily there was still room inside. We had a delicious pasta with seafood. The pizza also looked good and was also generously filled. We were so hungry that I forgot to take pictures when it arrived. :) The portion was not mega big, so everything was eaten. Too bad you don't get something like bread or something in advance.

Terrible food. Bruchetta was burnt and soaked in olive oil. Not edible! Pasta Vongole was very bad. More than half of the shells were still closed and the pasta was not cooked properly and seemed old. When the waiter asked if it tasted good I indicated what I describe above and he waved it away and did nothing with it! Afterwards the shells also turned out to be spoiled because it was completely empty

We chose this restaurant based on the good reviews, but were disappointed. The staff was unfriendly and the food left a lot to be desired: the spaghetti was dry, there wasn't enough sauce, and overall the quality was disappointing. I cannot recommend this restaurant, also because of the unprofessional staff.

It was really a pleasure to eat here, it was like an original trip to Italy 🇮🇹. We ate a pizza, pasta, salad and desserts and we drunk wine and coffee, all of these were really delicious. Our favourite pizza was the truffle one (foto below), and it was so good that we ordered another one. Food was great. Unfortunately, they didn't come and ask if we wanted something to drink. Also had to ask twice for the bill.

So I've been cooking for about 5 years now. German cuisine, Mediterranean or Vietnamese cuisine. But if you can't even season a salad properly, then I (the chef) lack basic knowledge. Small 0.3 non-alcoholic beer over 5 euros. 0.5 beer 7.50. All respect. Then we wanted to pay separately... supposedly a 4 euro surcharge. Just cheeky. If you like tourist food, you've come to the right place. Someone like that wouldn't have a chance in Nettetal.

Pizza tasted fantastic. We told the waiter that the two of us wanted to share the pizza, so we each got a separate plate, and we also received our pizzas within 10 minutes. Great service.

Very tasty, in the evening I was looking for something to eat and ended up at this place. They were very friendly. They turned on the patio heater especially for our seats outside. We were also given a blanket to put on our legs. Because it had already seriously cooled down outside. My wife ate the pasta vongolé and found it very tasty and successful. I ordered a pizza with salami. Also very tasty. Then a limocello spritz and our evening was a success. Definitely recommended and not expensive!
