Da Geppetto Restaurant Pizzeria in Wijk 00 Centrum

I really liked and the gluten free pizza was excellent.

Excellent food, service needs improvement. Pizzas a little overcooked but that's a matter of taste

Absolutely fantastic. A paradise for anyone wanting to eat gluten-free! Even with gluten 😉. Friendly owner. Beautiful restaurant. Nice! Worth a repeat visit.

Visited this authentic Italian restaurant thanks to these very good reviews on Google. Very friendly, truly Italian service, an Italian owner who runs his business with passion, and a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The food was better than expected. They have an original wood-fired oven for making pizza. Still, the food in Italy is better. Hahaha.

Good food for a reasonable price, quick and friendly staff.

We loved going to Da Geppetto - the food is great, it's very conveniently located in the inner city and the service is spot-on. They don't mind at all when you ask them to take a photo and are very quick to help you out with anything you need.

Friendly and efficient service, super tasty food with atmospheric and cozy facilities both indoors and outdoors on the terrace.

Excellent gluten-free restaurant. Both antipasti and pastas can be ordered gluten-free and are freshly prepared. The quality is superb. Highly recommended for people on a gluten-free diet.

We ate here for two evenings. I noticed the hospitality right from the welcome. Additionally, the atmosphere, space, and food are excellent. The staff served us in a friendly manner!

Due to our daughter's food allergies and intolerances, I contacted them in advance via Instagram. I received answers to my questions very quickly. With a few adjustments, our daughter was finally able to enjoy a pizza again. Highly recommended! Very tasty pizza, friendly and fast service! It was clearly a good move to make a reservation!

Friendly staff, interesting location, but the best thing is the food. I had the best spaghetti carbonara I've ever eaten.

I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys good food and very pleasant and attentive service. See you all next time, arrivederci ☺️

I was there today, great service and the pizzas taste very good.

Super friendly service, delicious cappuccino, and, which is quite unique for Maastricht, a beautiful, large disabled toilet that is wheelchair accessible!

Had a super delicious meal on the terrace, both pizza and pasta, and the gluten-free pizza was also really tasty!

Very poor quality. The tomato sauce is acidic concentrate from a can. Not even a piece of bread is served with it. Portions are also very small. Never again!!!

Perhaps a bit pricey, but we'll gladly come back because the food was excellent.

Food is excellent. Staff are so friendly. Prices are good. Good selection of food.

What an amazing restaurant on the Markt in Maastricht! The food was truly delicious and easily deserved 5 stars. The service was also fantastic: super friendly staff and the food was on the table quickly. We were here on a date and even received a rose, which was such a nice surprise. The cozy atmosphere made the evening complete. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back! 🤍

Had a really incredibly delicious meal! Both the terrace and the interior are very cozy here. The wait staff could check a bit more often if anything is needed, but otherwise the staff is nice and the wine is good😌 I’ve already eaten here for the second time during my trip to Maastricht

Had a delicious, authentic Italian meal on the terrace overlooking the market, fine and friendly service... definitely recommended.

The gluten-free pizza was really great🍕✨

Had a delicious meal, friendly staff, they are open to groups

Very tasty food, friendly staff. Highly recommended!

We had a good experience at Da Geppetto on the Markt in Maastricht. The food was tasty and with good authentic Italian flavors. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. A great Italian restaurant to place to enjoy meal.

Had a super delicious meal on the cozy terrace in the center of Maastricht, with very helpful staff who constantly came to check if everything was in order. Definitely recommended, I will be back!!

Amazing authentic Italian restaurant! The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming. I tried the lasagna, and it was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. A special thanks to Lucio—he is an incredible host whose classy treatment, friendliness, and warmth added so much charm to our experience. Outstanding service and highly recommended! One of the best Italian restaurants I've visited! The atmosphere is warm and traditional, making you feel comfortable. I tried the lasagna, and it was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly in the authentic Italian style. What made the experience exceptional was our host, Lucio, whose classy treatment and kindness added a special charm to the place. The service was excellent and fast, and I highly recommend it. I will definitely return!

Stopped here to celebrate a big win for our family. We had a lovely time. Not too crowded. Good service. Food was great.

Very friendly service and the food was delicious... in short, top-notch, highly recommended...

Excellent Italian food, a warm atmosphere, and great service. Everything we tried was delicious and beautifully presented. The place has a very cozy, soulful feel, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Honestly, nothing to complain about, everything was just wonderful. Definitely recommended!

Very good pizza and the best espresso I had for a long time now.

We went out for dinner on a quiet Tuesday evening. Friendly staff, good food, plenty of choice, everything was served quickly (surely varies on a busier day), quite spacious terrace. As far as we are concerned, a good restaurant and certainly worth a return visit.

Nice I know Price are high theese day but 11€ aperol is just to much we got 2 Pizza Tonno 2 aperol and Pay 60€ is to much in my opinion

Super friendly staff and the food was very good! Fresh pasta and real Italian!

The restaurant located the market place with a large terras. Great choice of foods. Service is excellent. I had a pizza which was good.

The tables are a little bit to crowded...the airco inside doesn't work...maybe some mist sprinklers could be installed outside for the hot period.

Ate a delicious gluten-free pizza. They pay as much attention as possible to cross-contamination. I have celiac disease and had a delicious meal here!!

The only positive note was perhaps the food, but the service left something to be desired. The waiter, quite tall and well-built, perhaps not Italian, as the restaurant advertises itself, in our opinion was a bit presumptuous and arrogant, unprofessional. He seemed to have been bothered by the fact that we were a bit hesitant at the table. I understand the work, I understand the stress, but we come to the restaurant to relax. Sorry! Never again!

The food was very tasty, we had a lovely time sitting on the terrace, and the staff was very friendly. The food arrived quickly, but was very fresh. Definitely recommended!

Today, we ate here on the terrace with friends and our children, a group of 6. Bruschetta mix as a starter, pizzas from the wood-fired oven. A nice Pinot Grigio to go with it. Pushing the tables together was no trouble at all. Shelter was provided during a heavy rain shower. Moving inside was also an option, but we didn't do that because it was quite pleasant outside. Good food, good value for money, a cozy restaurant inside as well. And very professional and friendly staff. We will definitely be back here!

Reserved by phone and then being told there is no room is very bad!!!!

Good food, good music and good people.

Good restaurant! Delicious food and friendly service that create a great atmosphere! I will definitely come back here!

Very good pizza but 7.25 euros for 750 ml water is absurd. They offer no free tap water as well.

Nice restaurant on the Market Square in Maastricht. I was able to enjoy a delicious gluten-free pizza there and a crème brûlée for dessert. I didn't have any problems and everything was neatly taken care of.

You could order almost everything gluten-free and it was amazing.

Excellent Italian restaurant on the main square in Maastricht, opposite the market, open on Fridays. Wide selection of dishes, pasta, pizza, etc.

What a cozy restaurant this is! We will definitely be back here again. Such friendly service and the food… was really super too! And a huge plus was definitely the gluten-free pasta! ☺️

The pizza is as good as Italian pizza, and the place is clean and well-decorated. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I'll definitely be back. 😊

"We have now eaten here for the fourth time and it remains impressive: the level is just as high as on the first visit. Whether you choose the authentic pastas or the crisp, fresh pizzas, the quality is consistent and meets all our expectations every single time. The drinks menu deserves a special mention. The cocktails are top-notch and the wine selection is excellent. The Moscato Dolce, in particular, is a bullseye and a real asset to the menu—deliciously fresh and perfectly balanced. A rare spot in Maastricht where the passion and quality still burst from the plate (and the glass) after multiple visits. Highly recommended!"

A charming "Pinocchio"-style restaurant with a typically Italian atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff, a wide variety of dishes, including pizzas (very good!), and fast service. We truly appreciated the calm, relaxed atmosphere and the warm welcome from the customers. Highly recommended!

Staff was kind, they are all Italians. Pizza dough was light. We all liked our pizzas and it was big enough.

Best gluten-free pizza I have had in a long time!

They have plenty of gluten free options - and the gluten free pasta is excellent!

Delicious authentic Italian dishes! Very friendly staff!

Great pasta and pizza, cozy decor!

Friendly and very fast service. Great pizza. Location in the very heart of Maastricht.

We had dinner here recently and overall had mixed feelings. The food itself was very good — especially the pizza and pasta, which we would definitely recommend. However, the service left something to be desired. The server was not particularly welcoming or attentive, which set the tone for the evening. More concerning was the payment experience: we clearly stated the total amount we wanted to pay, including tip, and confirmed it when asked. Despite this, he added some money to the final bill without our consent. It’s not about the amount, but the principle, this should not happen. Additionally, we called ahead to ask if it would be possible to sit inside and were told it likely would be after a short wait. Upon arrival, we were again told to wait about 10 minutes and were invited to sit outside and order some drinks in the meantime. However, after waiting over half an hour, we were told that sitting inside was actually not possible. This felt misleading, and clearer communication would have been appreciated. In short: great food, but the service and overall experience could be improved.

Our favorite restaurant! We try to come here at least once a month; it is always delicious, super fresh, and the service is always just as friendly!!!

I was there randomly and it was a good experience and decision. The restaurant has a unique design the ambient is very cozy, romantic and nice where you feel comfortable. The staff were very nice and friendly The food was very delicious 🤤

Top service, top quality!! If you want to enjoy a delicious meal at a really good Italian restaurant in Maastricht, you have definitely come to the right place. A tip: Save room for dessert!

Delicious food, clearly prepared with fresh ingredients. Very friendly staff.

Best Italian restaurant in Maastricht with authentic Italian dishes.

Best Italian Restaurant ever!!!!! Even if a starter is removed from the menu. If you ask for it, you get it😍😍😍👍

The food was great, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was also good! The price-quality ratio is excellent. Only the restrooms are awful! Such a successful establishment should show more pride and honor and completely renovate the restrooms. Such a shame!

Always a pleasure! Both the delicious food and the warm, friendly service are excellent! Luciano and his colleagues are fantastic! Grazie mille!

Very delicious Italian food The restaurant is very centrally located The staff were very friendly

We enjoyed an Italian meal at Da Gepetto in the market square in Maastricht. 🇮🇹 Gluten-free pizza or pasta? Yes please! Super friendly service and everything was on the table quickly. We will definitely be back.

Very friendly people, real Italians. A kind word, a smile, it's all possible here... Delicious food, a lovely building with lots of paintings and nice decorations. Not right next door, but we love going there. Excellent.

Delicious food, lots of choices, and great service. We had a wonderful time!

Delicious!! Authentic Italian cuisine, also gluten-free 😃, friendly service, and a wonderful atmosphere

The food was terrible! Frozen pizzas and microwave pasta... And expensive too.

Without going into too much detail: Top quality, delicious, generously topped pizzas. The "simple" salami pizza blows me away every time. You only have to watch the pizza chef in the back to understand why they're so good 👌👌👌☺️

Delicious pizza, a real Italian pizza. And thanks for the surprise.🥰🎆 A warm atmosphere, friendly, smiling people. Thank you. We'll definitely be back.

Wonderful food and wonderful staff 🫶 my family is very difficult to please when we go out to eat , but they loved every single dish we ordered!! Definitely, recommend!!

Wood-fired pizzeria in the center of Maastricht. A beautiful, well-kept place entirely dedicated to Pinocchio. The staff is friendly, patient, and almost entirely Italian. The appetizer of the day is excellent (see photo), and the pizza is decent.

So nice experience. We love this place. Food is delicious. Service nice and fast. Stuff are very friendly and kind. As a DOG owner it’s very important for me that our small friend is also welcome. Lately it’s very difficult to find in Maastricht place where you can come with a dog. And here it’s a pleasant bonus! Thank you!

Delicious food and very friendly staff. We'll definitely be back!

We had a delicious Italian meal here. The service was friendly and the food arrived quickly. There were also many gluten-free and vegetarian options.

We had dinner at the restaurant. The service was friendly. The food was so delicious, and my wife was very pleased.

Two of the 4 dishes were served much earlier, and were already gone when the rest arrived!

Very nice food, interesting mood

A beautifully decorated restaurant with a super friendly waiter. He had no trouble explaining why I had to pay a little more for my gluten-free pizza. He even showed me the dough, which is specially made for them by an external baker, neatly packaged. The Pizza Italia was delicious! I'm staying in Riemst, Belgium, until mid-February, and I'll definitely go back a few more times to try the gluten-free pasta (and another pizza).

Delicious food. Great service, truly Italian. We even brought our dog along.

Verdict : 👍 We got to Maastricht hungry and eyeing all sorts of sweet foods. We compromised with our collective sweet tooth and chose to have pizza instead. Really, the kids chose. We got a pizza with salami and a pizza alla margherita. The crust was 🧑‍🍳 😘 the sauce was perfect and not acidic. Both pizza hit the spot and were enough to share among the three of us. Their 🌶️ chili oil was flavorful and a medium level spice. If you find yourself at the Maastricht a market, and are looking for a good bite to eat, I recommend you visit Da Geppetto’s. 10/10 recommend!

A very nice restaurant with a pleasant Italian atmosphere. The food is excellent. The service is superb. They haven't forgotten their Italian roots here... we will definitely be back.

We sat outside and ate comfortably and warmly. Among other things, we had a gluten-free pizza and a regular pizza. Both were very good and delicious.

We were in Maastricht today for a day trip, so we had to eat. We found the Pizzeria-Ristorante Da Geppetto. The menu was clear, the atmosphere was great, and the service was very friendly. The food was excellent, everything was perfect. We highly recommend this restaurant, even though the prices are a bit high, which is due to the location.

It was incredibly busy, and it showed. (It was during the Christmas market.) Service took a very long time. For example, sandwiches requested with a starter were only brought after a second request. The staff did their best and were generally friendly, but it was simply too crowded. We were a group of eight, and the table we were assigned was very uncomfortable. There was barely any space for the staff. The quality of the food wasn't to everyone's satisfaction.

We've eaten here several times before. This time it was a step up. Super delicious and refined! The flavors in both pizzas were well-balanced, and the pizza wasn't heavy. The staff was very attentive and asked several times if we needed anything else. They didn't sound pushy at all. We initially had a seat by the door, which allowed us to feel the cold outside. Once the guests at another table had left, we were offered that seat. We were given time to enjoy an aperitif before being served our pizza. There was a relaxed atmosphere among the staff, which brought a sense of calm. In short, a great atmosphere, a great setting, and great taste!

Unfortunately, we didn't even have a chance to eat here. We made a reservation in advance, but upon arrival, there was a line stretching out the door. We weren't told what to do, so after waiting fifteen minutes, we went elsewhere.

The pizza was really good, and the waitress was nice.

We had a reservation for 6:00 PM. Our table wasn't available yet, so we had to wait outside. We were already very cold, so we weren't happy about that, but we were also a bit early, so it was no different. After about 10 minutes, there were about seven of us waiting because there was no room (yet). After about half an hour, we were allowed inside. Luckily, it was nice and warm. The bruschetta and pizzas were delicious! That made the wait worthwhile. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant looks cozy. We will definitely be back!

Very rude waiter outside to receive customers, no respect, asking to sit inside, he says no place, then he says if you want you can sit outside, I said no, it's cold, then very rude to me bye bye, disrespectful, receiving customers with a face that almost falls to the ground q

Very good food in a cozy atmosphere. Friendly and excellent service. Osso Buco was perfect.

A very nice Italian restaurant, the food is good, the staff are smiling, a good place to eat.

A beautiful place with pleasant service, but high prices for the quality of the pizzas. The restaurant is very attractive, and the staff is friendly and welcoming; these were the highlights of our visit. The gluten-free option for pasta and pizzas is also very welcome. On the other hand, the pizza menu is very limited. The pizzas lack creativity and flavor. Considering the high price, we found the value for money unsatisfactory. We were somewhat disappointed by the food.

It was delicious! Excellent service! Definitely worth repeating.

Authentic Italian, both in food and atmosphere. Delicious food, great service, and excellent value!
