Da Roberto in Wijk 09 Scharendijke

We had a delicious meal at Da Roberto! I had the soup as a starter and then the penne pasta. The soup was a tasty start, and the penne with the creamy sauce and grated cheese tasted very good. The portions were also a good size, so after two courses we had eaten well; with dessert, we were completely full. The other dishes were also very well received. The seafood pasta was generously filled with mussels and large prawns, among other things. The plates looked well-presented, but more importantly: it tasted just as good as it looked. We both enjoyed our meal. The service was friendly and polite. We were served quickly, and we didn't have to wait long for the dishes either. It was nice that the service was smooth and that we could just sit and eat comfortably in the meantime. The atmosphere made it complete for us: a pleasant place to go out for dinner together. For about €40 to €50 per person, we had a very successful evening here. Tasty food, good portions, and pleasant service. As far as we are concerned, it is definitely worth a repeat visit!

This has nothing to do with Italian cuisine anymore, it's incredibly overpriced and absolutely not recommended. The lasagna is swimming in grease, as is the pizza. €41 down the drain! Never again.

They were very friendly there. We only had drinks because we had a late breakfast. We received very friendly service.

We ate there several times and were always very satisfied. The pizza, meat dishes, ice cream, and cakes were excellent. The staff was very attentive and friendly. If we are ever in Zeeland again, we will definitely eat there again.

Friendly Service and beautiful view

We waited half an hour for someone to come and order drinks, and then about an hour for the food. The service could definitely be improved.

We waited 10 minutes in the almost empty restaurant to find out if there was a free table. Then, for another 15 minutes, no one came to take our order. Two groups that arrived after us were seated and served immediately. We were apparently forgotten. Attempts to get their attention were also unsuccessful.

Delicious food, but we suspect that due to a lack of staff they cannot keep up with everything. Things went wrong.

The chef had resigned, the food selection was severely limited, the waiting time was very long, the pizza was rather mediocre, and there was no mention of the problem when booking a table by phone.

Great view of Greveliger and Haven from the terrace, especially at sunset. Authentic Italian atmosphere and food, especially the delicious homemade tiramisu. Attentive and friendly service. We were informed upon arrival that, as the chef was ill, only pizza and/or appetizers and dessert were currently available. We had a wonderful meal, good wine, and the delicious tiramisu.

I would have loved to do some food blogging, but unfortunately, that didn't happen. Making a reservation by phone wasn't possible, as no one answered. When we arrived (one adult and three children), we did get a table inside, but we had to wait about half an hour to order drinks. Ordering food at the same time revealed that the pasta chef was sick and there were no pasta dishes available. What a shame! The children were looking forward to delicious pasta, and I was looking forward to the spaghetti frutti di mare – after all, we were by the sea. Then they did offer lasagna, but no children's portion. Consequently, we left the restaurant quite disappointed after ordering our drinks and had the children's appetites satisfied by ordering delivery. What a pity; it could have been a lovely evening at the restaurant.

We were there around 2 pm in the summer. There seemed to be a staff shortage, so everything took a very long time. Unfortunately, the staff was also unfriendly; when a drink was knocked over (by the waitress), no replacement was offered. The view, however, was great. The food was mediocre, somewhat artificial-tasting. I wouldn't go back.

We were not helped after waiting 20 minutes but left; we couldn't get in touch with the staff, which is a shame to treat your customers like that.

Unfortunately, we can't rate the food, as we left frustrated after waiting almost 1.5 hours without receiving our meals! The waiter was friendly and apologized, but that didn't help much when you see all the other tables around you receiving their food, even though they arrived significantly later than us!

Nice place, right on the beach. However, my son ordered a pizza and got sick afterward. I ordered spaghetti bolognese, and after 5 minutes we were served. My pasta was cold and undercooked. I asked for it to be reheated and waited 10 minutes only to get cold pasta again. No apology from the staff, I didn't eat, and it cost me €50 in total. A place to definitely avoid.

Very nice and beautiful location, the building itself is also nicely decorated. We were not very satisfied with the orders; they politely ask what kind of pasta we want with it, but then we receive the same thing, even though we had indicated different types. The spareribs were not marinated properly and were difficult and tough to get off the bone.

I had ribs, and they were only edible because I was hungry after waiting forever, but I would advise everyone against ordering the tasteless, dry ones!!! The pizzas looked good!!! You can also get takeout. The view is very nice, but like everywhere else, they're short-staffed. The staff, however, are very competent and friendly. Be sure to check your bill!!! Too expensive for what you pay, sorry, even the view doesn't make up for it :-( If you're going to eat there, order pizza!

Great pizzeria, pasta and desserts are good too! It's very windy outside, it's on the coast after all. But they have cozy blankets. Bowls of water for the dogs. Child-friendly too. Fantastic spaghetti aglio e olio, authentic like in Italy!!

Delicious food, great view and fantastic atmosphere

Normally a pleasure, but recently during a severe thunderstorm it was a real lifesaver. We were very disappointed because the capers, which were recently available and listed on the menu, were completely missing from the Zalm Panino. When we asked about it, the server just abruptly turned away, offered no explanation, and no compensation – a real shame.

Had lunch outside on the terrace. Drank a nice house wine and ate a delicious seafood pasta.

We sat on the terrace here. A lovely spot with a view of the small harbor of Scharedijke. What we found very strange was that nothing was priced on the drinks menu. This is not allowed! You must be able to see what you are going to pay when placing your order. An employee's explanation was that otherwise they would have to change the menu too often. This way, they can charge whatever they want, and that doesn't seem to be the intention.

Before going, we should have read the reviews; it would have saved us a bad experience. In short: an interminable wait despite very few customers, tasteless and stale food, questionable cleanliness, and indifferent staff. We complained to the manager, who kindly offered us one of the dishes, which shows she acknowledges the problems. It was a nice gesture on her part, but I would still advise against going there.

We were there two weeks ago, and the waitress was the most unfriendly person I've ever encountered in the Netherlands. First, she knocked over our drinks on the table (which can happen), but there was no apology or cleaning up. Then she came back with new drinks and slammed them down. My girlfriend was about to leave, but we still ordered food. The menus were thrown into the tray. Then the pizza arrived—no "enjoy your meal" or anything. For the first time in my life, I asked for 35 cents back. I'm usually very generous, but not here. We won't be visiting this restaurant again and certainly won't recommend it.

The best pizza in all of the Netherlands

Ideal spot to stop by for a drink; while there is an orange alert everywhere due to the weather, DaRoberto is located in a spot with shade and a breeze. The staff was very friendly and hardworking! The Melon Fizz cocktail is also delicious 😀

It took a while before we were served. The woman also came across as a bit grumpy. Fortunately, that improved later on and things became a bit friendlier. The food was delicious. The view was fantastic. Despite the bad start, it turned out to be a nice stay and I will definitely come back again.

Delicious, fresh, authentic Italian food with a great view both indoors and outdoors. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The price is a bit higher, but reasonable.

We had a lovely evening. One where you shouldn't be in a rush, and I feel compelled to address the negative reviews. Food: Delicious! Generously sized portions and very well prepared. Great flavor. The only minor point, if I may nitpick, is that the pizza oven temperature could be higher. It lacked the characteristic "leopard skin" texture. Atmosphere: It is a harbor-style place. View of the boats and the water. The building itself isn't super charming, but every effort has been made to make it look nice. Service: Friendly, attentive, and helpful, but also understaffed. Because of this, things take a bit longer, and things still go wrong occasionally. That is also what you read in the other reviews. Still, they handle it well! And yes, you shouldn't be in a rush yourself, but that is a bad idea when dining out. With us, things went wrong twice with the same pizza. As a result, one of us ate long after our meals were finished. We received sincere apologies, delivered with a dose of humor (from us too), and we were given a small token of appreciation. We were able to chat a bit afterwards and heard once again how sorry they were. So, it wasn't all organized super tightly, but it was very personal and enjoyable. Still, glad we went. If something goes wrong, just smile back kindly. You always get that back.

The owners (NL/IT) are very friendly. On our first visit (at lunchtime), we received exceptionally courteous service – polite, attentive, and with great service. On our second visit (7:00 PM) during rush hour, the team unfortunately seemed a bit overwhelmed. We had a long wait. My meal was again very good, but the second dish gave cause for complaint. This was handled in a friendly, professional, and customer-oriented manner, which we appreciated. Dogs are also welcome, which we greatly value. Overall, a pleasant experience (good value for money), and we will gladly return. 🐾

The vongolé there is super delicious, highly recommended 👌👌👌🤩🤩🤩 and the pizza carpaccio is also mouthwatering 😍 and the service is super friendly 👍😜 definitely recommended. Da Roberto is the place for sure ♥️ and you can also drink super tasty wine there, just one of the many 😜

Not much of an appetite with an aquarium next to me in which a lobster was thrashing around. Its jaws were taped shut with a rubber band. So sad.

What a mess... We had ordered bruschetta for 6 people but only received 4. After half an hour, we received our starter and I asked for a bottle of soda. The soda sat on the counter for 20 minutes and no one knew who it belonged to. After an hour and a half, we finally received our main course; a hot plate was shoved into our hands and the waiter said: "Yes, that's what you get when it's been in the oven for a long time." We had also ordered pasta, but it was completely cold. The lasagna and pizza were okay. Not worth repeating.

We arrived at 7:30 pm today and found the door locked, even though the sign said it should be open until 9 pm. La Strada is also a nice pizzeria.

It was almost a slapstick…. We ordered starters for six people. We received four slices of bruschetta… Waiting twenty minutes (and repeating it twice) for a bottle of soda. After waiting for an hour and a half (!!!), the food arrived. A piping hot plate was passed across the table. When we commented on it: “Yeah, that’s what you get with those plates.” Pasta lukewarm, seafood cold. So we were sent back. The pizza and lasagna were okay, but the replacement plate of pasta arrived after everyone else at the table had already finished eating. And the restaurant wasn't even busy at that point. Not worth repeating.

We ate there three times during our holiday – need I say more? 😁 The food is outstanding (especially the pizza, the sea bass, and the spare ribs) (and let's not forget the crème brûlée afterwards!) and the service is not only attentive and professional, but also incredibly warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, I received the wrong pizza; it had mushrooms on it. I complained and took it back. Sadly, they didn't make a new one; instead, they picked the mushrooms off and threw raw onions on top. A real shame. 🤔 My husband's pizza was okay and tasted good.

The food was absolutely delicious, the staff incredibly friendly, and the restaurant has a fantastic location with a sea view. Unfortunately, it was fully booked, so we had to take the food home, but it's great that this option is available.

Good food for a rather high price.

The place was full, so we asked if we could get takeout. That was okay. But it didn't feel like it at all. The pizza was tasteless. The lasagna was far too small. The pasta was tasteless too. The female staff were very unfriendly to the bartender, who was clearly still learning. We had to wait at the bar for our order and weren't even asked if we wanted a drink. Terrible atmosphere too.

Picked up the lobster menu tonight; top quality and more than enough. Highly recommended.

We went to eat here outside of peak season on a weekday Wednesday in April. Very friendly welcome. We had a table inside, with a view of the marina. It wasn't busy at the time, and there was plenty of space. The interior is quite simple and not very original as an experience. Everything is neat, but don't expect a high-class environment. Simple chairs with limited comfort at standard wooden tables. Nothing special, but neat and clean. Service was prompt and fast, with clear explanations of the daily specials. Wine, beer, and soft drinks are part of a standard selection. Don't expect the expertise of a sommelier or anything similar. The menu is quite extensive, and with such a wide variety, you might wonder if everything is truly fresh or if some dishes are from the freezer. After all, even spare ribs are on the menu, and it seems highly unlikely that, given the size of the restaurant and the limited number of guests on our day, these spare ribs are kept in stock as fresh products. We ordered starters: bruschetta, vitello tonnato, and fried calamari. The starters were fine, but the presentation was quite standard, and the arugula salad was certainly not fresh; the bread rolls were pre-baked. We ordered pizza Margherita for the children. It was of reasonable quality, but the dough wasn't top-notch. Baked in an electric oven. No wood-fired flavors. Furthermore, we ordered the daily specials, assuming the kitchen had prepared them fresh. And those were of real quality. The Oosterschelde lobster Italian-style with linguine was above average. A lobster with substance and flavor. A really large amount of lobster meat, which is rare. The pasta vongole was also of above-average quality. However, the prices of the dishes are a bit on the high side (79 euros for lobster), although I understand why that is the case these days. The location itself is cozy, but not unique. Although, to be fair, the date and time we arrived did have an influence. A big compliment to the staff, though, as we certainly felt their hospitality. Worth repeating. The only downside is that the bill cannot be paid by credit card, so it is not really suitable for business dinners.

Everything was great, even with a large group

We were a group of 11. We had to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes for our food, but it tasted good. Unfortunately, the portions were very small, so only one person was satisfied. We won't be back :)

The pizza I ordered yesterday was very good. Today's experience was rather disappointing. I waited 1.5 hours for the food. The steak was initially cooked through, then raw. The pasta dishes were very small, and the pizza had very little topping. The lasagna was cold. And it was quite expensive.

Unfortunately, the experience deteriorated significantly on our third visit. Despite having a reservation, we waited 15 minutes, then they ran out of tomatoes – at an Italian restaurant, mind you! We weren't informed of this until the food arrived. After another hour's wait, they offered an alternative: bruschetta with ham, but they didn't bring enough. The pizza finally arrived after a 90-minute wait, without garlic, as ordered. We had to wait again for a tiny pot of garlic oil, about 5ml for six people, which then cost an extra €2. And all of this without an apology, explanation, or a complimentary drink. Sadly, this was our last visit.

Excellent Italian cuisine. Great pizza. Lovely atmosphere. I had a pizza with anchovies, capers, and olives. I've only ever had pizza of this quality in Italy. Very friendly staff. Their friendliness towards children was particularly noteworthy. Even our dog got a treat. We saw other dog owners do the same. We'll definitely be back. Looking forward to next year.

Only the owner of the restaurant was very unfriendly, snatching the menu out of the hands of our 9-month-old and 3-year-old children, saying it could be harmful. For this reason, I wouldn't recommend it with small children. I would have preferred to leave immediately. I'm not used to that from a Dutch restaurant. Very disappointed, even good food doesn't help.

We are so satisfied that we went 3 times in 1 week, had a delicious meal, nice chat and delicious drinks and got limoncello from the owner and the desserts mmmmm they were really delicious especially the teremisu ... mmmm ... today unfortunately for the last time because we drive home tomorrow ... as soon as we are in the area again at Center Parcs we will definitely come back. !! Sea bass and cod for lunch. Fresh and delicious!

Not really a restaurant to return to. We ordered two panini sandwiches. They were delivered without any further dressing. That was disappointing, for €13.50 per sandwich. The taste wasn't great, there was too much arugula, and the chef couldn't remember the ingredients of the sandwich, including ingredients that shouldn't be there. The owner who served us was lukewarm and confirmed the mistake. In short, not tasty and not a pleasant reaction. We won't be coming here again. P.S. We wanted to sit outside, but the three tables we wanted to sit at weren't clean.
