I haven't eaten this badly in years. This couldn't have been prepared by a real chef! The warm vegetables were unrecognizable in taste. The pasta was tasteless, as was the salmon. The medium rib eye was served raw and was tough.

Cozy place, delicious beer, and food too! I ordered wings, but unfortunately they had feathers, so I certainly didn't eat them.

Highly recommended! The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. What particularly surprised us was that they even speak German. We thought that was fantastic and it certainly made it even more pleasant for German guests. You can tell that they place great importance on good food and excellent service. See you next time! 😊

Beautiful location, spacious layout, delicious food

A decent restaurant, but nothing outstanding. The dishes are what you would expect from a casual eatery, but it doesn't look like it from the outside. You can't go wrong with the Burrata starter, and it was fine. The Pasta Pollo Picante was a very generous portion—actually way too much—but mediocre in taste. The Pizza Pulled Chicken was OK, well-topped, but here too, there was actually too much, making it an overkill. Point of attention: the staff asks very often if you want another drink, even when the glasses are still at least a third full. I understand that money needs to be earned, but here too, it was overkill. We just laughed about it.

We had another delicious meal last Sunday, August 9th. The pizza is absolutely delicious😋. A minor inconvenience with the tagliatelle bolognese, which wasn't very warm, but it was resolved properly. So, just like last year, good service again and pure enjoyment. We would love to come back a few more times this holiday.

Delicious food, polite staff, and especially beautiful desserts

How delicious! Very good pizzas: everything was super fresh and the crust was homemade, and you can taste it! Because it was so good, we went back the next day for the hamburgers. Those were absolutely top-notch too! And the prices are very reasonable. This is the kind of dining experience you enjoy!

We dined here recently. The atmosphere on the terrace was lovely and the service was quick and friendly. Da Vinci opens at 4 pm; we were there at 5 pm and were already told that all (?) the risotto was sold out, which I found unusual. We did have a very tasty meal (no risotto) though, and had a nice evening. The food is simply good and there is plenty of choice.

Very nice, Sigrid is a handsome guy. Did miss the strawberry in the gin tonic though.

Had another delicious pizza.....it is a shame, though, that a distinction is made between coming alone or with more than 3 people regarding the bread roll with spreads that is brought.

I went to eat at Davinci today and was really pleasantly surprised. The terrace is very beautiful and a cozy place to sit. The food was incredibly delicious – compliments to the cook! I think she was German, and she clearly knew what she was doing. You can immediately taste that the cooking is done with passion. I would love to come back again!

I have eaten at Da Vinci several times. Whatever you eat, it is good. Great atmosphere and nice ambiance. No complaints about the beer or wine either. What is disappointing, however, is the service. 1. Online reservations don't seem to work. I reserved via the website before opening time. No response. Eventually, I decided to call. No reservation could be found and it was no longer possible to sit inside (the weather wasn't good enough to really enjoy sitting outside). So I went looking for another restaurant. 2. Check your bill. It might contain items you didn't order. 3. If you ask for a dessert menu, you expect to receive one. If you have to ask for it twice and still don't get it, it's time to pay and leave. So there is still room for improvement. Again, the food is fine, but the service could be better.

We waited 75 minutes for our food today, while takeout and delivery continued as usual. It can take a little longer once in a while, but then communicate about it! We weren't even offered a drink as compensation. Amateurs.

It was fantastic; we had a delicious meal with my lovely colleagues. Everyone deserves a compliment; a beautiful and delicious menu was put together in good consultation for our large group of 21 people. In short, it was delicious, with friendly service and owner. Great place. We went back 2 days later because: 1) very nice food. 2) Large choice in vegetarian options (4 different pizza's, pasta's, canneloni, risotto's,...). 3)The prices are very reasonable. 4)Service was very good. First time we took pizza's, unfortunately they were too large for us to be able to eat a desert. The second time, we did go for a desert and *wauw*, we did not regret! We don't live in the area but will go again when in Sallandse Heuvelrug area.

We came all the way from Germany just to eat here. The staff is super friendly and the dishes are excellent. Additionally, the atmosphere is truly beautiful. The Germans could learn a thing or two from that. Thanks for the wonderful evening. Kind regards to the kitchen.

The atmosphere and service were absolutely good. The food, however, was a bit disappointing; everything was very salty. And we had barely finished the starter when the main course arrived. The kitchen apparently has its own process. Not pleasant for a night out.

A very extensive menu, there is something for everyone. The food was really delicious and well-seasoned. Very attentive service and a very nice atmosphere. All in all, highly recommended and we will definitely be back!

Update 2026: Favorite spot in Holten. Almost all the teething problems I described a few years ago are now completely fine. Both takeout and dining in, absolutely fine! Original review 2022/2023: Hopefully, this company with potential will continue to grow in its consistency. The quality of the food is excellent; that is why we keep coming back every time. The burgers are huge and tasty, the pastas delicious and could earn the nickname "kilo bangers" because there is so much in the container. Unfortunately, things go wrong too often with delivery/takeout; ordering 10 times and having something wrong 8 times is simply not right. - Wrong marinade on spareribs multiple times. - 1 small portion of fries when 3 were ordered. - Sweet potato fries that were dark brown and no longer edible. - We always schedule it early, because delivery 15 to 45 minutes past the scheduled time is just normal. - Dry pita bread instead of the usual burger bun - Desserts never survive delivery, but they still taste fine, so oh well. Unfortunately, I called once when the spareribs were really unacceptable (wrong marinade, and 90% charred), and then you get brushed off with, "Yes, that's how it's supposed to be."

Good food, but very annoying that you can only make reservations from 17:00 to 19:00 or from 19:00 to 21:00. 17:00 is too early and 19:00 is too late.

Yesterday, January 25, 2026, we went to Da Vinci for dinner. The food was delicious, but the dishes were too sauced, especially the scampi. The setting was beautiful, but the only problem was a cold draft from the outside door/entrance. We'll definitely come back when the weather is nicer.

A very cozy and beautiful restaurant. Excellent service. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food. The restaurant was packed. Mushrooms in a sauce that was far too thin. Then came risotto with prawns, which lacked flavor and included too many undercooked vegetables. The coffee was good, though. Hence, 4 stars.

I dined here with family a while ago, and it was very good. I was looking for information about whether the dog is allowed inside. Other reviews say he's welcome on the patio, but after emailing, I learned he's not allowed inside. Hence this review. Dogs are not allowed inside.

I stumbled upon this place by chance during a midweek getaway (triggered by the atmosphere as I drove past) and after some online research (read: looking at the menu), we made a reservation for dinner for four people (two adults, two teenagers). The starters were beautifully presented and presented, and the main courses were also perfectly portioned. If I had to mention a minor complaint, the pizza I had (diavola) was a bit less spicy than expected, but otherwise delicious! Finally, we were treated to some delicious desserts; all in all, a wonderful meal. Highly recommended!

We had dinner with four people today. One of us had a tenderloin skewer and the other a mixed grill. The little one had a pizza and the last one a hamburger. We also had appetizers, which were good, by the way. The meat, however, was really poorly cooked, everything was thoroughly overcooked. We reported it to the staff, and they said, "This is how we do it" and simply walked away. After dinner, the girl who had been helping us all evening came back (she didn't ask how it was during the meal). While clearing the table, she asked if it was good. Well, no, so she wanted to have new food made, which we found odd because that's how you prepare it. She came up with a solution: a cup of coffee. Two of us didn't eat anything, just fries and an appetizer! We were really disappointed when we left your lovely restaurant. It was supposed to be a party for Grandma's birthday.

The food was disappointing. I find bean sprouts in risotto odd, and I also don't like the taste of too many carrots and cherry tomatoes. The risotto tasted greasy. Bottles were being cleaned near us? Which caused a certain smell to waft towards us, which wasn't very pleasant.

What a lovely, cozy restaurant! We had a delicious meal. Salmon fillet on a bed of pasta and beef teriyaki with mixed salad and fries. And a delicious dessert: tiramisu with cream. Last week, six of us, by special request, enjoyed a High Wine. We were able to choose four wines from ALL the menu, along with a generous selection of hot and cold appetizers for an excellent price per person. We had a wonderful time under the awning, with excellent and fast service. In short: highly recommended!

The food was delicious, but unfortunately not great. Our underage daughters ordered a Liefmans 0.0, but they got it with alcohol. We all ordered dessert, but we didn't get our fourth until everyone else had finished theirs. And then we got the bill for another table.

We both shared the same dish and got sick within half an hour. It took me a day and a half, and my husband is still sick. It's clear this was caused by the food. Food poisoning can also happen with fresh ingredients, for example, through cross-contamination, the presence of bacteria/viruses, contaminated hands, or insufficiently refrigerated products. We continue to appreciate the quality and atmosphere; we gave you the 3 stars because of this exceptional experience.

The restaurant is top-notch. The ambiance is outstanding, as is the food.

After people we know had eaten here several times, we decided to join them. Six of us dined at Da Vinci on a Thursday evening, outside on the covered terrace. It wasn't crowded, either inside or outside, so we didn't expect to wait long. The service is incredibly slow and takes ages. Even just ordering drinks can easily take 20 minutes. Eating out with someone with ABI takes a really long time. The menu is vast. If they halved the selection, it would probably improve the speed. The food is good, with overly large portions (even the staff agrees), but not particularly special. Because we had been waiting ages for our appetizer and main course, after ordering dessert, we asked where it was. When it finally arrived, we saw that the ice cream was already melting. So, unfortunately, the logistics between the kitchen and the service were a bit poor. Conclusion: not a bad meal, but it's not on our list of places to visit again.

Bad service; after waiting for 1 hour we asked if they had forgotten us, it turned out that the receipt had not been passed on to the kitchen but that they were now working on it....seriously?? The terrace was not even a quarter full but the employees could clearly not handle it. Too bad because the place itself is very atmospheric and the food itself was fine.

Focasia delicious, pizza fine, lasagna burnt at the bottom and sides. It started to taste more and more bitter. Reported twice, response: fine, I'll pass it on to the kitchen. The 3rd time they reacted a bit more seriously. Eventually the lasagna was removed from the bill. Got sick later that evening and night, sent an email, no response at all! Cooking is human work and something can always go wrong. That's not bad. Other times I ate well and tasty. This time it was quite strange.

Vanuit landal twenhaarsveld besteld om te bezorgen. De bestelling kwam op tijd bij de slagboom. Heerlijke rijkgevulde pizza. Broodje hamburger was een grote baqet een hele hap! Helaas was de friet lauw. Tip voor de bezorger, neem een warmhoud tas mee.

De broodjes vooraf waren taai en met twee dips die uit een potje kwamen. Vervolgens hadden we een tagliatelle aglio olio peperoncini en een pizza tonno. Tagliatelle zaten harde stukjes tussen en hele gerecht was vlak van smaak. Voor de pizza geldt hetzelfde: smakeloos. Afrader dus

We had dinner there yesterday as a “finale” to our stay. First of all, it should be said that the location is super attractive and you can definitely sit outside in warmer temperatures. The service was very friendly. We each ate a starter (Focaccia e Crudo & Gamba al Ajillo). Both were really beautifully prepared and tasted super delicious! For the main course we had burgers with fries - the burgers were good and the portion was absolutely sufficient. Overall, we left the restaurant very full and satisfied.

Ze konden de drukte niet aan. Ik snap dat dingen langer kunnen duren als je personeelsgebrek hebt (dat neem ik aan), maar vijf kwartier wachten op 2 salades en een burger met wat frietjes, kan echt niet. De vegaburger was koud en de salades zagen eruit of ze al even hadden gestaan. Bovendien is een besteld drankje nooit gekomen. Betaald, geen fooi en wegwezen. Tip voor het restaurant: Doe geen papier meer onder die burger. Het ziet er leuk uit maar wordt een smeerboel.

Lost order and therefore waited 30 minutes even though payment had already been made. Then you look at your order and the satay is really too sad for words... blackened skewers, skewers with 2 pieces of chicken instead of 3 or 4, lukewarm meat, and burnt onions on the burgers...

We stood in front of a closed door. Opening hours on the website were incorrect. Times have now been adjusted, so a new attempt the following week. Food was all way too salty. Nothing to complain about the portions, because you really get a plate full.

We sat inside, but it also looked very cozy outside with a fire and blankets. Nicely decorated, smaller than expected but of course no problem. Easily helped there, pleasant, nice, spontaneous young lady (who unfortunately left early and another young lady came) The starter took quite a while to be served. Main course delivered on time. Fortunately, there is no constant nagging about whether everything is OK and whether you want something to drink. Food is just good, not special, but just good and tasty. A cloth was missing to clean your hands (ribs & wings). After asking, they were told that they were available in a pot near the door. I responded again that it would be nice to just give these wipes as standard, because who knows that they are left at the door and you have to pick them up yourself. They were going to do something with that. Regarding the service, the service is top notch, no complaints. But reserved online (same evening). Of course you indicate that, the response was that they did not know because they do not check all day to see if there are reservations. Do not offer it or indicate that it is not possible to make a reservation for the same online and that you must call. What if it had been full? And so we had made a reservation. Are we going again? I'm sure, but on the terrace in the summer, which looks really cozy and nice.

Good menu and good food, in our case the pastas (spicy chicken and regular chicken, with tagliatelle and penne). The interior space is not very large, but there was room (reserved), there is a large heated terrace, but it is very cold on these days. Delicious food and a delicious dessert too. Never had such tasty spareribs before. Completely satisfied. And that even though I had ordered a rib-eye. I think the waiter already noticed that I really wanted some unforgettable ribs. But that was a minor detail.

Voor de eerste keer hier gegeten. Zelf de risotto met zalm gekozen. Ik vond het heel lekker en de portie was groot genoeg. Prima prijs van €19.50. De bediening was erg vriendelijk, maar de communicatie vond ik wat vreemd. We zaten naast de keuken en ik kon ze horen ‘roddelen’ over de klanten. Ik dacht dat ze ook over ons praatten maar dat weet ik niet meer zeker. Voor het toetje namen we samen een grand dessert. Deze was heel erg teleurstellend. €13,50 keer twee. Je verwacht allerlei kleine toetjes van alle toetjes die ze op de kaart hebben staan maar het waren een paar toetjes in groot formaat met wat slagroom toefjes en blauwe bessen op de plank gekwakt. Als het nou €13,50 was, oké, maar €27,- voor dit toetje is echt heel ernstig. Wij zullen niet snel nog een keer terug komen.
