Booked at 6 o'clock, so that we could be at the theater on time (we thought). Due to the slow service, we only got the menu after half past six. We leave the menu open for what we want to order, but we discovered that the service only came to take an order when your menus were closed. The starter only came at 7 o'clock. When that was cleared away, we asked for a bit more speed because of a visit to the theater. That was to no avail... The fried cod seemed to come from the freezer, the schnitzel was lukewarm and so were the fried potatoes. When I commented that the schnitzel was lukewarm, I was told that it could be heated up. Heating up a schnitzel??? It was already a bit tough and certainly not crispy, but heating it up would only have made it worse. Plus that would probably take too long. So we ate it anyway. No time for dessert, too bad. We paid quickly, because we were at the theater, and discovered at home that we had been charged for 1 beer too much. Still waiting to see if that will be refunded. We will definitely not be coming back here!

2 years ago last review written with 3*, Tastoe has now really plummeted to 1*. The only thing that is still worth 4* is the neat and friendly service. The pasta was almost cold, the burger not pink as according to the menu, but not cooked. The vegetables seemed reheated and a chicken satay looked like a watery battery chicken. The atmosphere was gloomy, one type of music that was actually too loud, the menu was the same as 3 years ago, only the prices were slightly increased and the plastic folders torn and dirty, greasy and stale. The manager was not interested in his customers. This company seems to be dying. We will not come back here, fortunately there are enough alternatives.

We recently had dinner here and I was extremely disappointed with it. Things started wrong with the starter. We ordered beer battered mushrooms twice and the salmon bonbon once, but we received the salmon bonbon twice and beer battered mushrooms once. This is absolutely unacceptable and it seems as if our wishes were not listened to at all. How bad of a listener can you possibly be? As for the main courses: I had the prawns, which were decent. The other person had tenderloin tips and they were just mediocre. My friend had the tournedos, which were well done the first time and completely done the second time. I have worked in the catering industry for years and this is not true at all. You really can't return a dish twice! Then the schnitzel: it looked like it came out of the microwave, tasteless and no crispy crust at all. This was again very disappointing! We ended up having to pay more than €200 and to our surprise there were several things on the bill that were incorrect. The owner, Martie, indicated that he would only return part of the schnitzel. Of course we did not agree to that. This was the final straw. I would absolutely never come back. What a bad experience! I don't recommend this to anyone. I prefer to see a restaurant with a good chef, a committed owner and serious staff! That is hard to find here. Never again!

The owner apparently thought it was normal to dismiss a well-done tournedos as medium rare. When I said something about this, he still baked it until well done and indicated that it would now be “good”. Then I ordered a schnitzel in the hope that it would be better, but it was not crispy on the outside at all - just soggy and limp. I didn't say anything about this at the time. At checkout we received a receipt with both the tournedos and the schnitzel. When we inquired about this, the owner thought it was “completely fine”. For context: I've been coming here for years, but only for drinks. This was the first time I came to eat here. And probably the last too. Owner Marty clearly does not understand anything about the catering industry, at first we did not understand his lack of customers, but unfortunately tonight has made everything clear.

Delicious food for a good price

Been there many times with varying experiences. From missed cups of coffee that were on the bill to portions of bitterballen where there were fewer on the plate than ordered, menus that could need to be replaced or cleaned because there is mold or something like that in them, but tonight has made us decide not to come there anymore for the time being.... It started when we came in. I don't think the manager/manager was there, because the JBL party box was under the bar and it played all kinds of party hits that absolutely did not belong in a restaurant and at such a loudness that I had to make an effort to make myself understood by my table companion. Staff who had nothing to do were sitting at a table in the middle of the restaurant, loudly discussing the day with each other, it looked like an average youth club. I don't think the average age of all staff was twenty, so someone with experience was not there to manage things. Anyway, we ordered food and to be honest, it was very tasty. When we decided to ask the waitress who was in charge to say that we didn't like eating in an average teenage room in terms of noise and gossip, she replied that she thought she was in charge... We have of course made our grievances clear, but I can say with near certainty that our complaints were not taken seriously and we were ridiculed before we even left the house. Our advice is: when the owner is not there, appoint a manager with sufficient authority and take your guests seriously who, especially in these times, pay a considerable amount to have a bite to eat. Until recently, we came here at least once or twice a week for a bite to eat or a drink on the terrace, but they won't see us again for a while. I hope that things will improve in the future, otherwise I'm afraid that there will soon be one fewer catering establishment in Holten.

Had a delicious meal here after the 11th stage of the Pieterpad. We sat behind the glass front overlooking the square where the Christmas decorations created a very nice atmosphere. Especially the dessert, the Trifle apple cinnamon, was surprisingly good! Neat and nice service.

Atmospheric restaurant with a central fire and very friendly service. It was pleasantly busy and the dishes were served quickly. The caprese was just right, but the carpaccio was a bit too thin. The hake fillet was excellent and the vegetable strudel surprising, with a fusion of noodles, vegetables and goat cheese. Side dishes were generously served: extra vegetables, baked potatoes and fries.

Schnitzel didn't look like the picture. Was not fried until crispy, greyish, flaky, pulpy meat, unrecognizable visually and in taste as meat. Reported that this was the worst znitzel ever that I didn't eat. Nothing was done with the message: no apology or any form of compensation proposal. Finally ordered Cappucino. It turned out to be lukewarm with little foam. They will never see me here again, I advise everyone not to eat there. Very disappointing.

Food was very good everywhere except for the pull pork which was a bit dry and no sauce, drinks are fine and good cocktails. service is very good, we come by regularly to make sure everything is as desired, but not too often. chairs and tables are simple but functional.

The two of us had dinner here on August 18; lamb with thyme sauce was well done, too salty and no thyme tasted; the plate went back; the 2nd attempt was medium fried, but still very tough; say chewing meat. According to the owner it should taste like this; finished! The tenderloin tips were okay. When the 2nd plate came, 1 of us had already finished eating and the side dishes were cold. Too bad, because we spent 84 euros on a bottle of house wine. We will not go to this restaurant again.

Because of the band that was coming to play on the square, we were looking for a restaurant on the square. The restaurant Tasttoe doesn't look that attractive from the outside. The screaming orange color together with the cafeteria-like look of the terrace does not immediately make the restaurant your first choice. We ultimately relied on the photos from Google in combination with the menu. The staff is very friendly and thinks along with you. We received an appetizer on the house at the beginning. The main courses are beautifully presented on your plate. That is also much more luxurious than the appearance of the restaurant suggests. You get both fries and potatoes with the main courses. Also lettuce and warm vegetables (in our case beans). The taste of the food is fine. The taste of the sweet potato fries is very good. I didn't like the tuna salad, it was a bit on the sour side. Probably because of the many capers in it. I found the dessert a bit disappointing. I had the Brownies that tasted like Brownies from the store or the freezer. Legend: 1) Terrible! I don't recommend it, I will never come back! 2) Too bad, below my expectations, I won't come again. 3) Ok, nothing wrong with that, but nothing special, nice for once. 4) Fine, worth coming back. 5) Excellent! I recommend, I will definitely come back!

It says on the internet that they are open until 10:00 PM, arrived at 8:45 PM, but were still turned away because there had been no customers for fifteen minutes. Nice service though!

The outside did not invite us to come inside, but the menu did. Very helpful, the cook was ill, we didn't notice anything, it was delicious. Kudos! The price to quantity ratio was in relation to the tournedos and the salmon was not quite as we would expect. The desserts left me wanting more. Delicious chocolate with coffee at the end, nice surprise.

Lekker eten voor een redelijke prijs. Vriendelijk personeel en een goede keuken! De ambiance was goed. De biefstuk puntjes waren voorzien van een ketjapsaus meer dat proefde je niets (Aziatisch) van terug, waar ik werk had verwacht. Desondanks was het richting smaakvol. En dat gold ook voor de andere bestelde gerechten.

Eten was heel goed ,alleen een beetje gedoe over de bijgerechten(patat salade etc...) die in hele kleine bakjes zitten waar je met 5 mensen mee moet doen,die je wel bij kan bestellen maar dat schiet niet op, dan wordt de rest van het eten koud,alsje daar op moet wachten. Dus geef elk persoon gewoon gelijk een aantal bijgerechten er bij.

Prettig ingericht. Leuke lokatie op dorpsplein. Veel grote ramen. Dus veel licht en uitzicht. Prettig personeel!

We hadden via happentrappen voor het 12,5 jarig jubileum van mijn vrouw bij haar werkgever een bon ontvangen. Begon bij Tastoe. We kregen een drankje met gebak. We vroegen cappuccino ipv koffie maar moesten toen per kopje €0,30 bijbetalen. Toen bleek in het kopje van mijn vrouw een 3-hoekig splinter glas van 1 cm te zitten. Gelukkig heeft ze het op tijd ontdekt en niet doorgeslikt. Reactie van de bediening bij het vermelden; “O jeetje, alles goed?” Verder niks. Zeer teleurstellend.

Tja...als Holtenaar is het triest te ervaren dat het bij Tastoe blijkbaar erg om centjes gaat. De wijnglazen zijn sinds corona beduidend kleiner, maar de prijs bepaald niet. Ook het stoofpotje bevat ineens de helft van de inhoud. Personeel is niet erg vlot; je moet zelf erg alert zijn om op het terras aandacht te krijgen. Jammer. En in Augustus kregen we te horen dat het een uur kon duren voor we wat te eten kregen...Je weet toch dat het hoogseizoen is?? Wij gaan wel naar Odessa. Daar kregen we, zonder excuses gewoon netjes binnen een half uur te eten. En nog heerlijk ook. En de wijnglazen zijn daar prima gevuld.

Veel te weinig personeel,eten besteld maar na een uur nog niets gezien.was er iets mis gegaan met doorgeven aan de keuken. Dus zonder eten maar weg gegaan

Eten was lekker, bediening heel vriendelijk. Prijs kwaliteit prima in orde. Een iets ruimere keuze zou fijn zijn vooral voor de kinderen.

Heerlijke Thaise salade en broodje carpaccio gegeten. De kwaliteit van het eten is goed. Op internet niet zo goed te vinden, maar een hond mag hier mee naar binnen als hij zich goed gedraagt.
