Perfect location and cute little place. However, the service took a very long time, and we received cold coffee. The chairs at the table aren't very comfortable when you have to wait so long. For the price, it could be better… €26 for 3 cold coffees and a slice of apple pie.

Rude people asking us to wait outside while we were waiting for someone to ask for about 10 mins. Thankfully we had left

Very lovely place and atmosphere

I tried the hot chocolate, and it was truly the most delicious hot chocolate I've had in Amsterdam, even though I've been to more than four different shops. The chocolate was luxurious and incredibly delicious. We also tried the chocolate mousse cake; it had a unique shape, but it was delicious.

Cute little cafe in a nice neighbourhood. Came here with my mum for some coffee & cakes, and we left happy. It’s slightly dearer on the wallet, but it makes up for it by good people, lovely service and decent vibes. The inside is on the cosier side, and it’s going to be a great place to be on a chilly winter’s day ☺️

I've been here twice now. It looks perfect on Instagram, the food and the drinks. That's also absolutely fantastic, although I also ran out of what I wanted to order both times. That was a real shame. But what I find even worse is that I've seen the restrooms here twice, both times, incredibly dirty. The restroom is beyond words!! You have such a beautiful place and then such an incredibly filthy restroom. Because of this, I'll never go back. It's such a shame for such a place.

So cute! They were unfortunately out of the strawberry cold foam, so I wasn’t able to try the strawberry matcha latte. The juicy peach sandwich was a highlight 🙂

both the drinks and the chocolate cookie were soo good!! We got an iced oat match and a cappuccino. The atmosphere was really nice too! The location is also amazing, I will come here again!

We ordered the 2 special drinks from their menu because it looked really great on their instagram page. Unfortunately it was nothing like the picture. (see the 2 pictures, one from their instagram versus the actual drinks) The matcha strawberry tasted awful, very watery (oatmilk) and artificial bright pink “strawberry” cream which was also a thin substance.. had 2 sips and threw it away. The pistachio coffee was better but also not really good. Also, we went to the cafe on Saturday 17:00 but we were told that we could only order take away even the cafe was open until 18:00

A beautifully decorated little café with a good selection of coffees and a few snacks. Everything is beautifully presented, and not too crowded on a Thursday. It has a relaxed atmosphere and vegan milk alternatives. I would definitely come back!

good Flat White and delicious Banana bread. Service is rather slow and the toilet needs to be improved(light doesn't work and it is super small and old)

The apple pie was disappointing. Lots of unpeeled apples. Not crispy. The drink I ordered was a half-liter in a plastic bottle for a whopping €9.00! I expected to just get a glass of juice. Now I couldn't finish it all. The portion was too large. It was very warm and small inside. Messy and not very clean.

Cute little cafe in a nice neighborhood. We took 2 Americano, lemon bread and some kind of vegan cake. Price of this set was somewhat surprising when we came to payment - 40€ for 2 coffees and 2 desserts. My advice ask for price in advance.

The order got mixed up.. I asked for Oat latte (twice), but still was made with cow milk.. please listen to customers carefully.. The staff made another coffee with oat milk.. but it wasn’t good either 🥲 Deserts looked nice, but haven’t tried.. so maybe they might not be strong in coffee, but maybe in deserts?

My wife and I visited this lunch spot on Amsterdam's picturesque Huidenstraat. I lived in the neighborhood about thirty years ago and saw it change considerably. It's become much more touristy, and many of the old shops have become restaurants and cafes. Dae Bakery Café is one of them. I thought the quality would be disappointing because many tourists sit inside. But it's a highly recommended lunch spot if you have to be in the city center. Of course, they serve in English, as Dutch-speaking staff are rare in Amsterdam. But they were extremely friendly and service-oriented. We had a delicious, spicy Chai Latte (€5.20 each) and then had a Club Sandwich (€17.50) and a Protein Sandwich (€15.50), incredibly well-prepared and beautifully presented. Not cheap, but it certainly fills your stomach. We left feeling good.

Very friendly and attentive staff. The cakes and baked goods are excellent. The apple pie is legendary! A very attractive restaurant with a modern, country-style interior. 👌

Ordered the sourdough proteïn sandwich and clubsandwich and the bread of both sanwiches was really hard (I assume old and therefore toasted for too long), almost annoying to bite through. Service was good, but price wise, €17 for a sandwich, this should not be the quality they serve. Also the cushion benches on the wall are super high compared to the tables. Everyone was bending over awkwardly to eat.

The waitress took forever and wasn't particularly interested. When I went to pay, a customer was given priority and I was initially ignored. The coffee was quite good but nothing special. I didn't eat anything, but at the exorbitant prices, you don't want to. The restrooms weren't particularly well-maintained and weren't clean. So, in conclusion, I wouldn't go there again.

Delicious lunch, I can really recommend Sunnyside Up, good service and cozy atmosphere, I will definitely come here more often.

The matcha wasn’t nice, but based on all the other matchas I tried in Amsterdam, this is the best.

We loved our visit to this cafe! The food was beautifully presented and The Signature brioche bread was particularly amazing. We will definitely be back next time we are in Amsterdam.

One of our favorite spots in the 9 streets to sit and watch the world go by. Great coffees, delicious food options, and friendly staff. But it's all about the people watching outside that make this spot so fun. Great spot on a sunny day to sit outside and enjoy one of our favorite spots in one of our favorite neighborhoods in one of our favorite cities.

Very slow service. The place was half full and it took 40 mins for a club sandwich. The food was mediocre at least with supermarket toast bread and even though it was club sandwich it had 2 slices of bread and chips instead of fries. This sandwich costed 17.5 euro… total rip off stay away

Nice place, great food and homemade sodas. We had a sandwich, a lemon bread and a pistachio croissant. Yum. We will remember for a long time :-)

Came to Dae Bakery Cafe from TikTok recommendation. Apple cake was very big size and very delicious. Iced Latte was fine as well. It's a nice spot with cute interior and variety of pastries. Overall experience was good.

ambience 10/10. waitresses were super nice and friendly. french toast was delicious but a little bit sour. granola bowl was lack of granola :) would be a lot tastier if it had more granola than yoghurt

It’s a small and cute place but with a lot of flaws. The toilet smelled horrible, the faucet didn’t work and it was really dirty. So don’t sit nearby the toilet. The matcha drink with strawberry foam was bad. The foam immediately sank into the drink and it curdled. I got stomach problem from it. The ice tea was just water with added color and flavor. It wasn’t homemade and didn’t tastes well. The matcha cake looked good but it was dry and didn’t tasted like matcha. It looked bright green tho. Paid 19,35 for two drinks and matcha cake. Wasn’t worth it. We didn’t finished anything and left it behind.

Great place to sit down for the Cafe experience.

First time I ever returned a cinnamon roll. Took few bites and asked my friend to taste because it tasted like diluent or ammonia. The lady at the counter just laughed when we said it tasted funny. Guaranteed to avoid.

Cute spot and nice menu! The cinnamon bun was one of the best ones I've had (soft and juicey). Unfortunately, the service is non existent. Almost feels like you're a burden to the 3 staff members overseeing 15 clients.

I have walked past this place a few times and decided to have my coffee here and do my writing. I walked in and the lady told me that the EFTPOS didn't work. Not a problem, I am happy to do a bank transfer. But the waitress seemed annoyed about the fact that she had to tell every guest about this issue and didn't feel very welcoming. The music was much too loud for a small cafe like it is and not the right music style in my opinion. The light in the toilet + tiny hallway wasn't working so I had to use my flashlight and the toilet doorhandle fell out so I wasn't able to lock it. I won't go back to this place.

A nice for a brunch, super nice staff, the macha bread could be better by having a macha topping and not matcha powder on it and the tables cod be higher as the wallbench is a bit too high.

Cinnamon roll was really bad and we couldn’t eat it. The it took 15 minutes for them to get our order. We paid 15 euros for 2 coffees and 2 tiny rolls that we couldn’t even eat.

I ordered a decaf cappucino but it was not tasty. I was sitting at the table at the back and I continuously smelled a foul odor coming from the toilet, I think. Toilet was also not clean. Staff dropped something twice. Waitress with a Gosh accent said she was a ko and was the first to go to sleep when she got home. Too bad it's in a top spot but I won't be back. Mini decaf cost 4.90 euros

The coffee is very good, the food is a little expensive, but with rain the atmosphere is really pleasant, warm, bright and the girls are super helpful

Sadly they use pasteurized milk, not fresh milk, and this makes the coffee taste bitter. I gave them feedback but they sadly didn't appreciate it. If you are the owner of this shop: Stop being a fool and use fresh milk for the coffee!

I have two suggestions for this café. Soap in the bathroom and paper towels so the customers can wash their hands and they don’t have to dry their hands on their clothes.

Had a splendid brunch at Dae last week. Special thanks to Kimberly and Lola for their warm hospitality and top-notch service. Would highly recommend it. A 10/10.

Honestly we ran into this cafe because every morning place in amsterdam has long queues and we wanted a place where we can sit, and so glad we have ran into it! The coffee was amazing, the desserts were nice and the staff has been extremely kind 🥰 they only take cards but they have stated there in writing somewhere so I do not understand the complaining comments below

A nice small cafe. The coffee and apple cake was good and the surroundings were pleasant. It is 3 stars because it is, as other have said, (too) expensive.

Honest to god one of the most cosy spots I've seen in the whole city with decent prices, adorable atmosphere and really good food.

BE CAREFUL, THEY DO NOT TAKE THE LIQUID! It was not written anywhere, nor was it announced that they only took credit cards. In addition, the toilets are in a pitiful state with water on the floor and toilet paper sticking to them. As for food and drinks, not great either and expensive for what it is.

Had something to eat and drink here with my wife last weekend. Not recommended. The food was really bad. Even worse was the overall hygiene of the tent and the toilet. Haven't seen such a filthy toilet in a long time. In addition, my wife suddenly had serious complaints of food poisoning (according to our doctor) since we had been here.

Me and a friend had a drink and something to eat here & I can recommend it to everyone! Food was fresh and delicious. And the drinks too. Tip: try the matcha with strawberry

Delicious food, but a bit expensive considering the smaller portions. The staff are very friendly and the drinks were good too. But it was a bit cramped and, depending on where you sat, not as comfortable as it first looked.

The tomato soup was piping hot and tasty but the carrot cake was very dry. We told the assistant who said she would mention it. But there was no reduction on the bill and no offer of a different cake. Another lady had complained about how dry the cake was too. The cafe is definitely overpriced and very disappointing. In the toilets there was nothing to dry your hands on. My advice would be to go somewhere else!!

nice ambience, food is quite overpriced. tomato soup (10.5€) didn’t taste tomato-ey, was very salty and wouldn’t say it was bad but for the price they gave HALF a tiny slice of garlic bread which i found stingy

We were there on a Wednesday lunchtime and it was a pleasant atmosphere. There was free choice of seating. The drinks were really tasty. Likewise the toasts. Everyone will find something when it comes to selection. As far as I have seen, there is only one dish for vegans. There are a few vegetarian options. The toast was a bit more expensive at €14 but in my opinion it was worth the price. Amsterdam is just not cheap. The waitresses were super nice and there is a relaxed atmosphere.

Everything was great. The service could have been a bit better.

The entourage looks fantastic with all those fresh tulips. The atmosphere is very good. We came for lunch. My daughter had the tastiest sandwich ever, but my chicken Ceasar sandwich was really poor. The bread was rock hard, the lettuce was old and I couldn't find any anchovies and that for 15 euros (also for the sandwich!!!). Fine for a cup of tea, but not again for lunch.

Good Coffee and Food great atmosphere , The apple pie was wonderful also the cortado . I most likely the decoration of the place I hope in the future there is will be more cakes options

Banana bread and the carrot cake were absolutely delicious. Coffee was good and the ambiance was really nice.
