D'Amici in Wijk 10 Vleuten-De Meern

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance on our way back to Apeldoorn from a day trip to Scheveningen, and we would go back in a heartbeat! The food was top-notch, very authentic, and so delicious! The owner was so hospitable and sweet. It was our first time there, but we were completely spoiled. Highly recommended!

I have had the pleasure of eating here twice in the past three years, and ordered takeout three times. Exceptionally tasty pizza with good ingredients. I am a picky eater, so almost always when I eat pizza, I order a pizza with salami or a pizza with ham (standard ham, not raw ham) and extra tuna (without onion). I only ordered the latter variant here. The menu does not feature the standard pizzas you see everywhere but is a bit more exclusive; so I had to opt for the Margherita with extra ingredients. The person I was with actually ordered the Pizza Capricciosa, without the artichokes, without olives (yes, we are cultural barbarians ;-) The crust is truly fantastic; this isn't a pizza where you leave the edge behind because it isn't rock-hard and dry, but rather has nice, airy layers. I don't think the ham is Dutch ham from the supermarket, but prosciutto cotto. It has flavor. The tuna also really shines; the pizza has flavor and isn't bland. Sat on the terrace. Friendly and knowledgeable service; they make eye contact while communicating and take their time with you. You can't compare this to the often relatively mechanical or uninterested service in city centers. They could have earned a little more from us regarding drinks if they had come by a bit more often. Free parking right outside. Alongside Satriale's, this pizzeria makes the best pizzas in Utrecht in my opinion and has a wider range of ingredients as well as dishes: highly recommended!

Friendly service and great food. Our order arrived almost an hour after we placed it, but with apologies from the owner who offered us a drink on the house, that was quickly forgotten.

What a fantastic evening we had here. The food was truly delicious, with the absolute highlight being the beautifully presented dessert with a scoop of ice cream and fresh mint. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant and relaxed. We thoroughly enjoyed the carefully prepared dishes, where the tender meat and rich sauce really made an impression. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail. It is a lovely place for a night out in Utrecht. We will certainly be back here soon for the atmosphere and the excellent quality.

What should have been a nice evening at D Amici turned into a major disappointment for us. For some time now, there has been a nuisance caused by very unhygienic flies and wasps on the terrace that land on your food! The problem was acknowledged by the staff, but there is still no solution. This is the last time we will be visiting D Amici. We didn't even receive an apology for the inconvenience when we left.

Last week, I ate outside on the terrace; there were a great many green/blue colored flies present that kept landing on the food. The problem has been known to the staff for some time!!

Loved this place but the food comes extremely slow and it can really ruin your dinner time. It happened already 3-4 times that we had to wait this long so it is not just a busy day bad luck. It gets very frustrating you need to wait for 1h just for pasta/pizza and they dont even explain why it takes so long. I never been a restaurant that serves food this slow..and it is even more absurd that we waited for pasta/pizza that can be made in 10min..It will be my last time to visit although I brought all my friends and guests so far.

Nice restaurant with delicious pizza with a high crust. Addition: it is very annoying that they hammer home the point that you are not allowed to keep your coat on when the weather is colder. That feels like being in kindergarten. I will decide for myself if I want to keep my coat on as someone who gets cold easily. Besides, enough of my coats have already been stolen from a cloakroom. Not nice! A reason for me not to go to D'Amici in cold weather. It is strange anyway to demand that of your customers. Bad.

Plates and cutlery didn't really come out of the dishwasher clean. The food was good. The coffee was worthless. You wouldn't expect that in an Italian restaurant.

Restaurant D'Amici in Vleuten is truly top-notch. The service is friendly and fast, the atmosphere is cozy, and the food is delicious. The pizzas, in particular, are amazing: there is a real Italian in the kitchen, and you can taste it immediately. I come here regularly and will definitely keep coming back!

We had such a delicious meal. Atmospheric and friendly staff.

It is delightful to be a guest at Marco and Linda's. A lovely menu featuring everyday and less everyday dishes, from pizza to pasta, along with a special list full of wine gems, carefully selected by the owners themselves. The terrace is a pleasant place to sit, but inside there is also a warm, atmospheric ambiance that completes the picture. Definitely a place to return to.

D’amici is my personal favorite when it comes to dining out for Italian food. The Italian atmosphere and the food make me feel like I’m really in Italy. My personal favorites are the Truffle Pasta & the Truffle Pizza; what a taste sensation! I can’t say anything else! Got a table quickly, took a long time to order a drink. Tuna dry and overcooked, returned without apology. New tuna okay. Too bad Linda or Marco weren't there.

Had a delicious meal, real Italian in beautiful Vleuten!

The food was fine. The service was friendly, but they regularly forgot to check on the table for drinks. That is probably due to the table being in the corner. It took 2 hours before we received our main course. It could have been faster. Being required to hang coats in the hallway next to the open kitchen, causing your coat to smell of cooking fumes, is a bit of an issue.

After some confusion about an incorrect reservation, resulting in a somewhat long wait for a table created for 10, we enjoyed a delicious (and plentiful!) meal. We opted for the surprise menu. Highly recommended!

This restaurant was recommended by friends, but unfortunately, it was very disappointing. We waited over an hour and a half and complained about two half plates of pasta as a primi, while guests who arrived after us had already received their appetizer, main course, and dessert. The waiter indicated that the portions were for a main course and therefore advised against a secondo. We left hungry and were overcharged. It's a shame, because the restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere.

When I arrived, the person who let me in told me to hang my coat on hook number 8. I found that quite odd. I'd never experienced that before. Then the staff moved two tables apart for me and I sat down, so far so good. But then a woman, probably the owner, came to rearrange the place. A large gas lamp was placed next to my table, making me feel completely covered. I told her I didn't like that, and she gave me a strange look. This woman was clearly not used to being contradicted. The atmosphere was also subdued. I saw fear in the staff's eyes. Not cheerful or free. The owner is clearly a micromanaging woman. She interferes with everything. I feel sorry for the people who work for her; they do their best but are constantly corrected by her, even though they can do it perfectly well themselves, and even better than her. If the owner would only focus on the bookkeeping, the atmosphere would improve, and so would the turnover. I left without ordering. I didn't feel comfortable there.

They've moved, gotten bigger, but it's still delicious, cozy, and cheerful. Try the focaccia that owner Marco makes himself; maybe you don't have to eat the leftovers. Or do you?

What a wonderful evening we had! The atmosphere was lovely, and the food was delicious. The service was excellent. I had the tenderloin, and it was so tender. Everyone else had a delicious pizza! We'll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful meal on the terrace. My saltimbocca was excellent. Delicious with a bowl of vegetables and roasted potatoes. My husband had the pasta vongole and mussels. That one is also highly recommended.

A few weeks ago, we spontaneously decided to go out for dinner on a summer Friday night. The only problem was that there were 15 of us. Try getting a table without a reservation. We called D'Amici around 4:00 PM, assuming it wouldn't be possible. But... they were incredibly helpful and told us we could all sit down at a table on the terrace around 7:30 PM! We had a truly wonderful evening, sitting comfortably and enjoying a delicious meal. Absolutely fantastic! The staff were incredibly friendly, the owner incredibly hospitable, and we really appreciated how much they went the extra mile to welcome us. The menu is varied, from classic pizzas to sophisticated meat dishes. Something for everyone. We had two vegetarians in our party, and they also had plenty of options. The cocktails are highly recommended!

Bestelling werd opgenomen zogenaamd uit het hoofd maar helaas toch een fout. Deze fout werd mij! verweten op een zeer onaangename wijze "Nee, nee, nee je had echt....etc." Het was nb de partner vd eigenaar, die zou toch wat professioneler haar problemen moeten oplossen. Daarna 45 minuten wachten op een pizza zonder enig begrip voor lange wachttijd. Dan ben je af. Ze oogt klasse maar de beschaving ontbreekt. Jammer!

Met 2 volwassenen en 4 kinderen hier gegeten. Ik had een tafel voor 6 personen gereserveerd en er was plek voor 4 personen met 2 extra stoelen. Ok opgelost maar niet fijn. Het duurde heel erg lang voor onze pizza’s er waren, terwijl ik meerdere malen vroeg hoelang het nog zou duren. Kids waren hongerig. Bediening was niet op orde en er was totaal geen overzicht op de tafels. Ik kreeg een hele preek van de eigenaresse met de uitleg dat het nou eenmaal vrijdagavond was. Pizza’s waren heel karig belegd. Voor ons was dit helaas de laatste keer dat wij hier kwamen.

Helaas is de kwaliteit van de Piazza achteruitgegaan. De servicegerichtheid van de eigenaresse blijft hierbij ook ver achter. Dit is jammer, maar wellicht een aandachtspunt om over na te denken en te verbeteren, bijvoorbeeld door de eigenaresse wat meer op de achtergrond te laten opereren.

The food is delicious. We (partner and I) ordered 2 pastas. Unfortunately, the portions seem to be for minimal eaters. We left the tent hungry. The young people who work there do not seem to have been trained properly.

Oh D'Amici! What's going on? Rarely have I seen a pizzeria so quickly deviate to a questionable level. Hostesses who can't smile and are mainly busy with each other. Pizzas that are downright sparsely topped, A thick edge with nothing. And then they still charge adult prices. No wonder there were hardly any customers. This place won't last much longer like this. Go visit the competition and learn from them. Tip: La Gondela in Lemmer. Very busy every day. Thickly topped pizzas!

Delicious food and fantastic employees

had dinner on April 5 as an adult with two children aged 4 and 9 years old. Entry not very friendly, we apparently had the wrong entrance, that was not allowed. The note was also hanging very high, the lady was not very friendly, rather businesslike. Anyway. We sat down, but unfortunately nothing for children on the menu. I'm often used to pizzerias offering smaller pizzas or something like fries with something. Ended up getting fried squid rings for both of them. The food was very good, pizza and the squid rings were very tasty. Didn't have dessert because it was all very pricey. Got an ice cream across the street ;-)

This was great again. Delicious food and a nice ambiance. Friendly service and beautifully presented Italian dishes. Highly recommended. Not cheap but worth it.

We came here for dinner during our weekend away. Very nicely decorated place! Friendly service. However, we did have to wait a long time before we had our main course. That was a shame. The pizzas were very tasty! The red wine was also delicious. Unfortunately they had forgotten our coffees, so we got them after asking again. If you have a lot of time and fancy delicious Italian food, this is definitely recommended! ;)

We had to wait almost 45 minutes for our pizzas, which were also not warm enough. The spaghetti came first and 10 minutes later the pizzas. We imagined more of this.

There was a nice atmosphere with live music! Very tasty food, and fast service!

Yesterday we enjoyed a delicious meal in this authentic Italian restaurant. The food was absolutely fantastic and tasted as it should – truly Italian! The service was excellent; the staff were friendly and helpful. We were even allowed to sit at a high table with our two small dogs, which was nice. The prices were very reasonable for the quality we received. All in all a great experience, and we will definitely be back!

Good for takeaway pizza but a pity that you are not allowed to bring the dog to eat inside. And Amici's response below doesn't help: Apparently I have a narrow worldview? From now on, no more takeaway pizzas. They're pretty good, by the way. But such a tone does not suit a restaurant when your customer is king. By the way, I couldn't find the law about the open kitchen as a reason for not allowing dogs anywhere. Postscript: tried again, this time without a dog. I was ordered to hang up my coat. But I'd rather keep it with me. Shouldn't. Under no circumstances. "Coat-free restaurant or something. Well, not hospitable anyway. Left. Customer friendliness?

Delicious dinner on a Monday evening. We were there for the luminous night at De Haar Castle. I received a tip for an Italian wine that was very tasty. The atmosphere was cozy and warm and the food delicious. There was more than just pasta and pizza.

The hospitality, service and food here are of great class. There are surprising dishes on the menu that not only look delicious but also taste great. And the price-quality ratio is also very good. Unfortunately, people who are sensitive to sounds should avoid this restaurant at busy times. The cacophony of sounds is enormous. That's why I had to skip dessert. When we walked out of the restaurant it felt like an oasis of peace. Perhaps something can be done about the acoustics. Because then I will definitely come here many more times to enjoy the fantastic food.

Nu al voor de 2e keer ging er iets mis met het eten. De eerste keer was ons hoofdgerecht helemaal vergeten. We dachten bij ons zelf dat kan gebeuren. Maar nu bij een hele simpele bestelling. Een pasta en een pizza. De pizza was wel klaar maar de pasta niet. Deze was naar een andere tafel gebracht. Na 15 minuten kreeg ik eindelijk mijn pasta. De pizza van mijn man was toen al voor de helft op. Niet ons idee van gezellig een hapje eten.

Very nice, cozy tent with enthusiastic employees, the food is excellent, as is the wine. You don't exactly expect this on a corner in the local shopping center, but yes, that happens to you in Italy. Price performance is ok. So recommended.

I found the pizzas average but it is an ok place for a quick bite

Had dinner here yesterday with two adults and two children. We had the antipasti for 4 people in advance, but this was such a generous platter that they should have said that it is enough for two people as an appetizer for 4 people. As a main course, once the fish of the day, once the lamb body and twice pizza. Fish and pizza were fine, but the taste of the lamb was unfortunately completely overshadowed by a spicy pepper sauce. Sometimes the size of the meat portion is disappointing, but that was absolutely not the case here. However, I hardly tasted it and that was a disappointment. Then give me a more subtle thyme-honey sauce or a mild red wine sauce. The desserts - three of the four ordered pistachio mousse and one coffee - were delicious. Due to what I think was a mistake with the main course, unfortunately only 3 stars for the food. There was little to criticize about the atmosphere and service.

Pizza Porchetta is really delicious. Good thing I don't live nearby otherwise I would be there every week!! But at the same time also irritating because it is really great.

We had a delicious meal with our family (2 daughters 9 & 13) in honor of our 16th anniversary! What an attractive restaurant, nice hostess, top service and, importantly, delicious dishes! Highly recommended in our opinion... the short ribs. Truly delicious! We will definitely come back again!

Reserved a table for my mother's 80th birthday tonight, which was very disappointing for the first time. It all took too long. Antipasto for 2 very nice (charges per person). After an hour and a half the main course and the wine were served after dinner. Pizzas were good, the pasta had been kept warm in the oven for far too long and was therefore dried out and soggy at the bottom. We left the desert even though we were looking forward to it, after waiting 2.5 hours we didn't like it. Unfortunately not the best experience.

In tegenstelling tot andere beoordelingen troffen wij een vriendelijk en gemotiveerd team aan. Uitstekende maaltijd tegen redelijke prijs. Topservice. Met plezier een compliment en fooi uitgedeeld. Het was, mede door de mooie avond, echt een Italiaanse sfeer.

One fine day I visited the restaurant D'Amici in Vleuten. Given the nice weather, we made a reservation so that we had a spot on the terrace under the large parasol. Limited menu with nice Italian dishes. We opted for antipasto all'Italiano in advance with a bottle of muscato d'asti. We liked it, but we missed the pine nuts with the carpaccio. Main courses, beef tenderloin in green pepper sauce and veal with mozzarella and Parma ham, with a bowl of vegetables and potatoes, were well received. The service was also certainly satisfactory and tightly controlled by, most likely, the owner.😉

We ate there for our wedding anniversary. Owner had arranged something extra for us. Food was delicious and the service was top notch.

Surprisingly good food. Restaurant in a shopping center but what a great chef. It's been a long time since I ate so well. Highly recommended and now I understand why it was so busy.

We had a nice evening and a delicious meal, it was really great! As my son said: gee, I didn't know you could eat so deliciously here, so a culinary surprise around the corner!

The best pizza in the Utrecht region!

Have had a very tasty meal several times. Today we shared a caprese salad together as an appetizer and then chose the ravioli with eggplant and tuna steak. Both were very tasty again, with a slightly chilled glass of Bardolino :) Dessert was a specialty of the chef: a kind of large ravioli with pecorino, orange and lime zest and a scoop of ice cream. It sounded a bit strange, but it was very tasty. Very happy with this Italian within cycling distance.

Heel erg goed gegeten…vlees / vis perfect bereid. Vriendelijke bediening. Alles klopt. Ter afsluiting top grappa en een heerlijke Limoncello. Absolute aanrader.

Lekker vier gangen verrassingsmenu genomen. Pure smaken, niet zuinig met de porties en gezellige amicale sfeer. Personeel beleeft duidelijk lol aan t vak. Lekkere antipasti vooraf, daarna drie soorten ravioli die bijzonder smakelijk waren, en toen een top.stukje tonijn en een leuke dessert variatie.

The food is good. You can eat good pizza and pasta there. The price is right. Pleasant on the terrace in summer. Been there before. Always satisfied. The service is really helpful. Nice to see that there was always, really always, enough waiting staff when I was there. It doesn't take too long from ordering to serving, even if the place is full. That's very nice. The staff can also remember a few things. Errors almost never occur. Where do you get that nowadays? So both thumbs up :)

Great place to eat with friends. The soft lighting creates a warm and cosy atmosphere. The food is excellent, I personally recommend trying Seadas, a typical Sardinian dessert 🫶

The food is good, but I definitely recommend the pastas over the pizzas. Unfortunately the service isn’t amazing, one woman I’d even describe as stern. Also, I understand a cloakroom but it needs a better solution/more room/hangers or maybe someone who takes the coat from you to keep it organized.

Wardrobe required! Then it should not be a kindergarten rack where everyone has access.
