The owner didn't treat me politely, I asked for a pocket to put my wrap in it, and he gave me a used pocket with so much small food remaining in it, and when I asked for another one, he said I din't have! How much could it be!!

The worst doner I ate in Europe.

You might find the falafel and hummus here but trust me the staff here truly is ruthless. We were charged to use the toilet 2€ each even tho we had drinks. We were so desperate that we did not have any choice so accepted but avoid if you don’t wanna be scammed!

If you are missing Halal Guys from NYC and it’s white sauce this place is your go to place. Very tasty

Skip. Skip. Skip. Skip. Skip. We arrived here yesterday around 11 pm, during the World Cup final, really craving a kebab. In hindsight, we should have eaten somewhere else. I ordered a chicken kebab with fries. The man literally asked: “Kebab, fries, and a drink?” I even confirmed several times that I wanted fries, along with a drink and garlic sauce *and* samurai sauce. I paid nearly €15 and thought: okay, Amsterdam city center, whatever. Afterwards, I wanted to choose an Ice Tea, but it suddenly turned out not to be included; I only had a choice between 3 or 4 drinks. When I received my order, there were no fries with it. I asked if they had forgotten them, to which I was told in a particularly arrogant tone: “No, not included.” Even though I had clearly stated three times that I wanted fries. Otherwise, I wouldn't have taken that menu at all. Outside, I also noticed that I had only received garlic sauce. When I went back inside and said that I had also ordered samurai sauce, the answer I received was: “This is garlic sauce.” When I explained that I had asked for both, the samurai sauce was placed almost aggressively on my plate, along with the garlic sauce, without a single word or apology. So I returned the garlic sauce. The arrogance here was palpable. Probably too busy watching TV. Tip: for moments like these, you could just close the place down. (The photo of the kebab was taken after I went to ask for the samurai. By the way, the kebab fell apart so easily.) If this had only been my experience, I might have let it slide. But there were 9 of us and only 2 orders were correct. With the rest, it seemed like they were just making whatever they felt like. As if that wasn't enough, my little brother went to the toilet right after he had just eaten. When he came out, they asked him €2 to use the toilet, despite the fact that he was a customer. He rightly refused to pay that. And then there’s the quality of the food… You would hope that the service would be compensated by good food, but unfortunately not. This was without a doubt the worst kebab and kapsalon we have ever eaten. The chicken was simply not cooked properly. My brother had a standard dürüm kebab and found it “okay,” but certainly nothing special. The other eight people (with chicken or a mix) could barely finish their food. We thought: too bad, bad experience, and that’s it. But it didn't stop there. 6 out of 9 people got sick afterwards. A seventh was nauseous the entire next day. I’ll spare you the details. That makes this, for me, no longer just a matter of bad service or mediocre food. Making people pay so much money, treating them as if they are a nuisance while there was absolutely no communication on their part, and then serving food that makes multiple people sick, I find unacceptable. After our experience, I started reading the reviews and saw that, unfortunately, we are not the only ones reporting getting sick after a visit to this establishment. I will also report this to the NVWA. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at a kebab shop. Highly not recommended.

it’s very sad to see the decadence… the workers didn’t even know the kapsolon deal, 1:29 and it seems that they already finished and they are doing a favour to you, sometimes the price doesn’t compensate

The chicken I was served was completely undercooked and pink throughout, with only the outside burnt. When I pointed this out, instead of preparing a fresh meal, they simply put the same chicken back on the grill. It came back burnt to the point it was hard like wood, yet the inside was still pink and undercooked. The chips were also poorly cooked, hard, and unpleasant to eat. I requested either a freshly prepared meal or a full refund, but both were rudely refused. It was only after I started recording the interaction that I was given a partial refund of €6. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in Amsterdam. Food safety should never be compromised, and customer service should not require recording an interaction just to receive a partial refund. I would not recommend this place to anyone who values food quality, hygiene, and respectful customer service.

One of the chiefs who works there was very rude with me. He started shouting on me because I told him this is what I ordered. I orderd chicken with fries and he prepared wings and forced me to take the order. Very bad expeience, I don't recommend anyone to go there.

i tried the falafel sandwich here and it was a very satisfying surprise. the falafel was freshly fried, crispy on the outside, and full of herbs and spices inside. it came with fresh salad and tasty sauces on the side that worked perfectly together. simple, fresh, and full of flavor. definitely worth stopping by if you’re in amsterdam and craving middle eastern food.

My husband has been on the hunt for a great doner kebab, so we popped in to try this spot. He declared it one of the best he’s had since Germany which is high praise! We got the special chicken doner wrap and it was fantastic: juicy chicken, perfectly grilled vegetables, and a delicious wrap. The service was friendly and professional too. This place is legit. We liked it so much we came back the next day for lunch. Highly recommend!

Too much sauce in the burger and wrap, not very tasty, not enough salt, the staff was unpleasant, and the place was dirty! After eating, we wanted to use the restroom, and they charged us €2 per person. I do not recommend it.

Worst shawarma experience ever. We found the fried chicken in the shawarma plate which means they used the left over of fried chicken in shawarma. While we watching they used a plastic bag to warm the rice in microwave and using hands which was not very hygienic. And we were not happy for what we paid.

These people are so bad at cooking, I would rather pay a million euros than ever eat there again. Everything was terrible, I regret coming here, and I feel even more sorry for those who are looking for food here. It was disgusting, cleanliness is non-existent, and everything is moving around without order. If the sanitary inspection came, they would be closed forever. Their poor English and nonexistent Dutch made a lot of mistakes in our order and I would be very angry. I do not recommend anyone to go there.

There was a lot of salad in the wrap compared to the chicken… to make matters worse, we found blue plastic on our tomatoes, and when we told the owner, he looked at us as if we'd put it there ourselves. No apology, nothing. I think that would have been the least they could have done in that situation.

The worst Turkish pizza ever, with a very unsympathetic owner. We were refused entry to the restroom unless we paid extra, even though we had just paid a bill of over 40 euros.

Fantastic affordable food with a great owner that gave us a huge slice of the chicken kebab to try and it tastes AMAZING. We ordered the fried chicken with rice, it was totally delicious and filling 🔥

I go to this place often because I live close to it. The food is usually ok and one of the people working there is very polite. However, there’s a little old man working there who’s so miserable and rude all the time for no reason. I’m considering stopping going to this place because the old man’s energy ruins my day. Also he often touches the salad with his hands, which is not ok.

Got a kapsalon here with my girlfriend and enjoyed it very much! The gentleman serving us was very friendly and the food was delicious!! The restaurant is very clean, would recommend!

While traveling through Holland, we stopped in Amsterdam and ate at Dana Hals Food. Unfortunately, our visit was rather disappointing. Our food took a very long time to prepare, even though we only ordered two portions. When we asked to omit some ingredients, the response was not particularly friendly. The fries were also simply topped with ketchup and mayonnaise without asking – a shame, since there are actually many sauces to choose from. The fries themselves were okay and tasty. The dürüm, on the other hand, was unfortunately not tasty and, in our opinion, not recommended. The restroom facilities deserve a positive mention: They were clean and well-maintained. Overall, we wouldn't visit the restaurant again due to the service and taste.

Negative Reviews are confusing? - There was no bathroom charge, We had Doner Wraps, with the request that the meat was to be grilled again/made crispier, the employee, and older Egyptian gentleman, was very nice, and friendly. It was fresh and a very nice meal.

Visit Dana Halal Food and the experience was impeccable. I ordered a chicken burger combo and was completely satisfied. The burger was delicious, with chicken that was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, accompanied by well-browned and perfectly cooked potatoes. The service was equally remarkable. The staff was very friendly and attentive, making sure everything was to my liking. In addition, the atmosphere of the place was comfortable and pleasant, ideal to enjoy a good meal. I will definitely be back and recommend it to anyone looking for a good burger and great service. A 10/10!

Just had a quick meal before a concert. Very well seated. Food was tasty, service was good and everything was clean. Unfortunately there was no more döner, but the chicken döner was a great substitute. The wrap was nice and firm and not soggy. €19 for a chicken döner wrap, Turkish pizza and 2 drinks. Would eat here again.
