A horrid reflection of Turkish hospitality, and bad representation of our great cuisine. The chicken döner was extremely dry and that accompanied with unfriendly service… wouldn’t recommend.

We came to get döner kebab and wanted to use the restroom beforehand. Even though the waiter was Turkish, he made it a problem for us to use the restroom. He said we had to buy two döner kebabs so two people could use the restroom. We bought them since we were there for döner, but that attitude was terrible. I won't even go near that place again. A person shouldn't treat anyone like that, not even their own citizen.

Amazing food with very good prices.

I came from Izmir for work and sat down to eat döner (Turkish kebab). The waiter came to my table and said he wanted to pay in advance. I've traveled all over Europe and Asia, and apart from self-service establishments, I've never encountered a business that would ask for payment first. I paid the fee, but the chicken was definitely not chicken döner; the sin is on their own heads. This is the first time I've ever encountered something like this, and I'm very upset. Why do Turkish businesses treat Turks so badly? Why don't they adopt the food culture of the country they're assimilating into?

If you’re Malaysian and hunting for good halal food in Amsterdam, you should totally check out Sefa Restaurant 👀🇳🇱✨ I ordered the chicken döner with rice, lamb sandwich, and chicken sandwich — and honestly, everything was really sedap. The portions were HUGE too. One meal can easily fill up one person, so the prices actually feel pretty worth it for Amsterdam standards. Big plus point: the restaurant is HALAL ✅ which made finding food so much easier during the trip. The staff were super friendly too, and they told us they’re from Istanbul, which made the whole place feel even more authentic. Their sauces seriously deserve a shoutout because they were SO good: * Red Hot Samurai sauce 🌶️ * Spicy Hot Algerienne sauce 🔥 * Spicy Andalouse sauce 😮‍💨 All three made the food even more flavourful. The restaurant is clean, air-conditioned, and has 3 floors, so there’s plenty of seating. Even the toilets were clean and had bidets (Malaysians know why this is important HAHAHA). Toilets are only for paying customers though. Another nice thing is the location — it’s super near the Anne Frank Museum, so it’s a really convenient stop after sightseeing. Overall: good food, halal, big portions, friendly staff, and definitely Malaysian-approved 👍 Would totally come back again!

Not a good place and not good customer service. Mold in the broodje kip, I speak fluent Dutch, and told the manager and his colleague calmly that there Turkish bread had several green spots, and the managers both started screaming at us. The fact that you treat a diabetic mother and younger child like this is insane. Especially on Eid claiming to be Muslim. Avoid at all costs. En voor de groter team: doe normaal met jouw klantservice. Slecht kwaliteit is niet mijn probleem.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. We repeated our order three times to make sure everything was clear, yet it still arrived wrong—and on top of that, items were missing. To make things worse, the food was served in a broken dish, which is completely unacceptable. The staff were also rude which made the whole experience even more frustrating. Overall, this was a very poor experience. Between the incorrect order, missing items, broken dishware, and unprofessional staff, I definitely would not recommend this place.

I had ordered a Doner Box and received a Durum instead (wrong meal provided). Despite not being able to eat this meal due to dietary restrictions and despite clearly not providing what was ordered, the venue did not offer a refund. I gave away the food to someone else but was left with cost and nothing to eat. This may have been due to circumstances of King's day but regardless it was bad service.

It's a matter of taste... Doner kebab, lamb chop, burger, and lentil soup... The lentil soup was the best; I'd eat that again. Nothing else. We went because of the reviews, but to be honest, we were disappointed.

They didn't have beef doner, which is unacceptable, so I had chicken doner. The portion was good, but the service wasn't great. It was excessively spicy, and the person at the counter was grumpy towards Turkish customers but spoke kindly to a foreigner; I overheard their conversation. A Turkish customer asked for flatbread from the next table, apparently the menu was doner kebab, and the cashier treated the grown man like he was being scolded. We didn't see the friendly face of a Turkish restaurant, and the food was nothing like the taste.

The food was delicious, even though he was a bit unpleasant at first. Highly recommended and absolutely delicious.

Simply avoid it, it's inedible and super expensive for the quality of the products.

Easily one of the tastiest döner kebabs we’ve had in a very long time. The staff were really lovely and friendly too!

Very good halal food! The mix grill was excellent, and the lamb was especially delicious and well cooked. The place is a bit small and can get quite noisy, but the food more than makes up for it. The kids really enjoyed themselves and ate until they were full. Overall, a great spot for tasty halal food, especially if you don’t mind a lively atmosphere.

The owner is extremely rude, and it seems that if they know you’re an international customer, they treat you differently. He added extra items to my bill without informing me, and I accidentally paid for them. The atmosphere is very untidy there’s no music, the seating is uncomfortable, the lighting is poor, and the place smells strange. The service is slow, the staff seems disorganized, and they are overcharging for everything. Overall, the experience felt chaotic, unwelcoming, and not worth the money.

We had a mix grill during our visit. It wasnt as busy when we went there. Ive been in different BBQ and grill restaurant that i can compare their grilled meat to others. To be honest, meat is dry and it doesnt taste fresh. There is a subtle taste that tells your palate that the meat sits in the fridge for a while. It wasnt bad but it wasnt that fresh and zero juiciness. It is probably from how they marinate or keep it longer i dont know. Chicken tastes good but still it is dry. Lamb chops, skewers, and kebab are same. Like you guys, we went to this place because of the good reviews but ended up being not satisfied. I hope they improve how they cook or prepare theor meat. 🥩

The doner box was very good for me, the chicken was the best I've ever eaten, but the ambiance was dirty and it could use some renovation.

The food was okay, but I expected more. I found the service subpar. In a restaurant, you expect someone to come by and take your order, but that didn't happen here. I waited a long time and eventually went to the cash register myself to order. Besides, I had to pay in advance. It feels more like a tourist trap than a restaurant. For me, it wasn't worth it. The waiter came by regularly, but didn't tell me I had to place my own order.

They don’t let you use the toilet even not paying. Not human!!!

This kebab shop is highly recommended! The staff are incredibly friendly and the meat is unbelievably delicious. I asked for a halal certificate and the employee showed it to me immediately. The soup was also delicious. I had lentil soup for €5.50, a kebab meal with fries and a drink for €13, and a kebab plate for €15.

I will definitely never go there again. I've never seen such a grumpy and unpleasant shop assistant, especially the person who took the order; 1 out of 5 stars for that, maybe 3 stars for the döner kebab. My advice is to stop this "grab and run" style of business and show a more friendly attitude when people come in. People are making you money; give them their due. Treat the people who travel 260 km to choose you with more respect...

Mutton Shawarma was amazing delicious and spicy.

We chose this restaurant based on its rating, but I wonder how people rated it. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere and the staff's welcome were cold. For a Friday night, the restaurant was empty. The prices are high for minimal and tasteless portions. However, a special mention goes to the fries, which were very good. On the other hand, the meat was undercooked, the salad wasn't very fresh, and the sandwich contained two pieces of kefta without sauce and the bare minimum of filling.

We ate chicken doner kebab. It was reasonably priced, but excessively spicy. It had a taste unlike regular chicken doner kebab; it was purely spiced. Suitable for those who enjoy Arabic cuisine.

An absolute disgrace, run away! We were treated like numbers: we were told to be seated only to have to go back to the counter to beg for an order. The service was nonexistent; you wonder if there were even any waiters. To top it all off, the food was mediocre and tasteless. You're served on broken dishes in a place with questionable hygiene that is sorely lacking in cleanliness. And to add insult to injury, they make you pay before you've even eaten, like in a cheap fast-food joint. How can this place have so many positive reviews? It's a complete tourist trap, totally overrated. That was the first and last time, never again.

Terrible! I was here on December 12, 2025, eating kebab. The vendor wanted to reheat some meat that was already there, so I asked him to please cut me some fresh meat. He immediately got angry – terrible service. After he'd cut it, he held it in front of my face and sarcastically asked if it was better that way. He prepared the kebab heartlessly, without saying goodbye, and even threw my change on the counter. I definitely cannot recommend this kebab shop.

One of the most 'authentic Turkish' kebab places in town. It s simple but good. Price is reasonable. Portions are big. Lamb smells like lamb. They offer best ayran brand you can find in NL. Tea is brewed to perfection. We are loyal customers both for dine in and for take-away
