We walked in by chance with 5 people looking for something to eat. We were immediately welcomed in a friendly manner. The service is extremely quick and pleasant. The food is of good quality and the portions are large. Highly recommended! Thanks and see you next time!

After a nice dinner with my mother and brother, we decided to have another drink at De Babbel—or at least, that is what we wanted to do. We were stopped at the door, and the bailiff, while shouting, asked my brother if he could take off his cap. All three of us, shocked by his reaction, took off his cap. I briefly asked why this was necessary. After that, the bailiff started shouting even louder and then said three times that we should not argue with him. I really did not like the way we were treated. We were treated incredibly rudely, after which we simply left and pursued our wish to have a drink somewhere else, but with a bitter aftertaste because of this gentleman. I understand that forceful intervention is necessary with drunk youths causing problems, but this was most certainly not applicable to us, although this gentleman made us feel that way with all his shouting. What a blunder.

We went to dinner with the four of them last week. I wouldn't recommend this! The coffee was lukewarm! The service was very slow and poor! The spare ribs of the four people made two of them sick. I don't recommend this to anyone.

We ate here all three nights we were in Apeldoorn. The staff are exceptionally friendly. Service is excellent. The gambas, smoked salmon, carpaccio starters were excellent. The Schnitzel de Babbel was exceptionally good. So was the salmon filet. And all washed down with Affligem Blond. Best meals and service of this three week trip.

Discriminatory door policy. Men with a bag are refused at the door. A bag was allowed inside if it was given to a girlfriend. This was even required by the guard. So it is not about the contents of the bag, but whether a man or woman is carrying it.

I regularly eat here with my girlfriend. Cosy and great food.

Dear owner, I would have liked to give 5 stars, but your security guards really ruined that. I have gone to your café quite often in the past, but less so lately. But I didn't experience any problems. The atmosphere is pleasant and until yesterday I experienced no problems with your security guards. Yesterday I came by, I was sitting comfortably at a table. I don't cause any nuisance, I don't bother anyone. A comrade also just got off work around two o'clock. After the second smoke we wanted to go back inside. Then we were stopped and one of your guards started saying that we can't get in anymore because we've had enough to drink... My comrade had really “just” arrived. He only had two beers. I only had four drinks myself. I was anything but drunk. So I looked really surprised and I asked: what do you mean by had enough to drink? I'm really not drunk. Why do you think so? Then he stuck to his point, yes... then you are really powerless... I didn't go into it after that, because I was sober enough to realize that there was no point in going into it. So I just took my losses. This feels to me like they enjoy using their authority in the wrong way, which I think is a shame. That's why I'm going to give you 1 star for wrongfully refusing entry.

We often eat out. But the Babbel is a winner. Reserved in advance. Really cozy. Friendly service. And the best part is the food. Very well cared for board. Food was well prepared. We will definitely go here again.

The food is good, service is good, and the atmosphere is good too. However, it is a bit dusty and here and there you sometimes see a spider web. In my opinion, it could be cleaned thoroughly every week. Toilets need thorough maintenance, and so do their doors.

Even though I showed my ID card, I was denied entry by one of your security guards. He indicated that I was under the influence, which is completely incorrect as I do not drink alcohol. I do not understand on what basis this conclusion was drawn, but I believe that there was no valid reason to deny me access. This experience was not only disappointing, but could also have a negative impact on your club's reputation. My only intention was to enjoy a few drinks and a pleasant evening. Had a wonderful lunch, the food was super tasty. The club sandwich was more than sufficient and delicious. The creamy brie was also very tasty. Cozy and atmospheric restaurant, highly recommended! We will definitely come back for the nice card (newspaper🤣)

Don't go here. The security guard is aggressive and very roughly removed our group of friends from the tent because someone was wearing funny sunglasses, literally no one was bothered by this. When asked for an explanation, the only response is 'because I said so'. He also touched us several times without any need, we just walked out on our own without objecting to anything. This security guard just gets a kick out of being able to touch girls this way. Scandalous

The security staff here are aggressive and incredibly sad. It is clear that the portly security guard at home has no say and overcompensates for this with his work. 0 stars for this tent.

I recently visited De Babbel Apeldoorn to watch a football match and had a great time. The atmosphere is really nice, and they have both a TV and a projector for watching the games. However, the sound between the TV and the projector isn't perfectly synced, which causes a slight delay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, making the overall experience enjoyable. I would definitely recommend it!

We got here early. The staff had all the time for us. You can sit inside or outside on the terrace. We sat inside. Very nicely decorated. The prices are extremely reasonable. I had a schnitzel Mont Blanc. Or heavily dressed Schnitzel with cheese and mushrooms. These are accompanied by salad, fries, potatoes and roasted vegetables. So very complete. When we are in Apeldoorn, this is often the place where we eat.

The food and drinks are fine, but those bouncers at the door are not good staff! Entry is refused if they have holes in their jeans and boys with a bag are not allowed in, but women with holes in their pants and bags are no problem! In short, this is a strange way of security and also bizarre rules. Had a delicious lunch here: "the fish twelve o'clock"; fresh tomato soup, choice of brown or white bread topped with salmon, cheese, fried egg. With shrimp croquettes (mmm!), tuna salad, a fresh green salad and butter and fries sauce. Friendly and smooth service. Many wall decorations with the theme of the 1950s-60s and the United Kingdom. Definitely recommended, we felt welcome and had a delicious meal.

There was a large group so I had to wait 1 hour for my starter (3 small mushrooms). When, after another half hour, I asked how long I had to wait for my main course, the boss told me not to be so impatient. And that it's coming soon. When I indicated that I found that strange, the boss became very unreasonable. I asked for the bill and the boss also asked why I was leaving. Weekend away, looked nice on the site. Everything had been agreed upon here. Meat was dry, fries way too salty. Management looked very disinterested and didn't bother. However, there was one person who did understand how the controls work, but unfortunately only encountered this when paying.
