Super fun place! The pancakes are delicious, and there are plenty of options for those who prefer something different. The staff was the real highlight for us: friendly, efficient, great with our 2-year-old daughter, and simply added to the whole day. We went three times during our stay at Landal, and each time was a hit. The atmosphere is also lovely, with lovely autumn decorations, and the next day they switched to a winter and Christmas theme, which was also very well done. Kids get a nice gift (they can choose themselves) with their children's meal. All in all: a must! We had a great time!

It's so nice when vegan options are seriously considered! We had a delicious vegan pancake with spinach, bell pepper, tofu, pine nuts, and balsamic dressing here; we were really pleasantly surprised! A very nice pancake house with truly delicious pancakes – but the biggest surprise were the spare ribs, which were incredibly tender and easily flake off the bone with a fork! 👌 Prices are absolutely fair for the Netherlands. Also, very friendly service and a lovely, matching decor. Highly recommended!

Cozy place with a wide selection of pancakes (and some other dishes too). The atmosphere inside is very pleasant, but it's also busy. This can make it feel a bit like a conveyor belt. But the staff helps counteract that. They're very friendly, and even the dog was welcome! We had a fairly young boy, but he was fantastic! They always came by promptly to ask if we needed anything!

It took a good half hour to get our two pancakes, even though there were only a few people there. The pancakes were wafer-thin and black. The toppings, apple slices, were as thin as razor blades. Friendly staff, but the owner was an old, frustrated man who yelled at his staff. He wasn't friendly to children either. The pancakes were fine but nothing special, and the restaurant was very noisy. I'd say: drive away!

One of the most famous pancake houses in the area, but there's nothing to suggest they deserve it. First, the food. Nothing special, and everything was very stingy. One person had a pancake with whipped cream, and they literally got one spoonful of whipped cream (which they also paid an extra €1.25 for). Second, the owner. In a word, awful. We could hear him yelling at him constantly from where we were sitting. And then he got really angry at two small children who just wanted to ask him something. The staff, on the other hand, were very friendly.

If you don't check if they're open, you'll find yourself in a closed place on a Friday 🤦🏼‍♂️ I know they have delicious pancakes here and I come here regularly, but never on a Friday. My own fault, but it's a bummer.

We ate here during our stay at Landal Miggelenberg. The menu is truly extensive, with so much choice. I had the apple crumble pancake, which was absolutely delicious! The other guests had the Bacon/Pineapple/Ham and Cerise (with cherries) pancakes, which were also a huge hit. My daughter had the children's menu with a Capri Sun, a very large pancake, and a children's ice cream in a cute cup. She also got a coin to choose a toy—so fun! It's truly child-friendly. The staff was very friendly. A truly lovely restaurant, and we'll definitely return when we're in the area :-)

All tables and chairs are wiped down before you sit down. They could learn something from that at the Buitenhuis in Leiden, where you stick to the tables and chairs.

It's a great pancake restaurant. The pancakes are good. The pancake restaurant is also large. Parking on the premises can be a problem. It can get quite noisy. You should be aware that you can't make reservations at this pancake restaurant, but there's always a spot available. You might have to wait a bit, but then you'll be kindly shown to your spot. We're glad we were able to enjoy a pancake here.

During our stay in Hoenderloo, we discovered this pancake house around the corner. We had high expectations based on the many positive reviews, but unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed. We didn't find the pancakes anything special, not all the staff seemed friendly, and the decor looked empty and a bit old-fashioned (perhaps a deliberate style choice, but it didn't appeal to us). However, there are also positive aspects, hence the three stars. The menu offers a wide selection, so there's something for everyone. Moreover, there's ample parking, which is convenient.

Raw chicken in my salad. Instead of solving that properly, I got a new salad with 6 thin pieces of overcooked chicken after 15 minutes. Of course I had to pay for it, so here's 1 star. If you can't cook, don't put it on the menu, and stick to pancakes.

Despite being busy, helped quickly

Look, I already had a 5* rating 8 years ago, which I am now changing to a full 1* rating. Why? See below. What a disappointment after years of visits I have been coming here since I was a child, and every holiday in Hoenderloo included a pancake at this restaurant. It always gave a familiar feeling. But unfortunately this time it was a complete disappointment, and that is putting it mildly. My pancake was so thin that it could not even be called a crepe, let alone a pancake. My wife had a cheese pancake, but that was in fact a lot of melted cheese with hardly any pancake underneath. She decided to say something about it, I was hungry and ate the pancake within a few seconds. The children's pancakes, on the other hand, were good and at least two to three times as thick. So the argument that "we just bake thin pancakes" (as the manager said) is simply not true. His explanation made no sense: "Then we baked the children's too thick." When we asked for a solution for my wife's pancake, a new pancake, for example, we got no willingness or customer focus in return. In fact, when we indicated that we did not want to pay for that one pancake because we had not eaten it, he literally said: "Do I have to pay for it myself?" That says everything about the attitude. In the end, we did not pay for my wife's pancake (fortunately), but this completely ruined our evening. And while we usually do not even say anything when the food is disappointing, but this time we did, and then you get these kinds of rude reactions. A little training in customer friendliness and complaint handling would do this manager good. Because if he had simply offered a new pancake, none of this would have been necessary. We will never come back here. And what did the restaurant gain from this? Nothing. Only lost regular customers. Really such a shame.

De ontvangst door een ober was vriendelijk en gastvrij. Echter.... de soep was niet vers bereid maar uit een pak denk ik. Zo ook de saus over de zalm op mijn pannenkoek gewoon uit een potje. De smaak van de pannenkoek en zalm was matig. Het geheel duurde heel erg lang, zowel voor de soep en de pannenkoek, het leek alsof ze ons vergeten waren. Een sorry kon er niet af, de serveersters leek het niet zo te boeien. Jammer maar al met al voor ons niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

The pancake mediocre the apple on the apple pancake was in much too thin slices which made the taste completely disappear which was a shame but according to the waitress how she always served the pancakes.

April 16, 2025. Great place and great prices. HOWEVER, the operating staff is severely overloaded. With a group of 30 p. there is 1 lady who has to provide for everyone. Only 1 service for the crowded terrace. Both clearly overtired. I advise those people to quickly find a job somewhere else.

Just had lunch here. Hot meat with white bread. The meat was almost impossible to find between the lettuce and the sandwich, well you could throw a hole in the window with it. And after all, you neatly pass this problem on to the waiter, paying the bill was just a complete blow. Worthless 1 star is still too much.

We cycled here from Landal Miggelenberg. Waiter welcomed us and was more than happy to speak English. Four excellent pancakes, including a gluten free for my daughter. Kids also shared a milkshake, I had a beer and my wife enjoyed a cappuccino. Sun was out so we sat outside and the kids really enjoyed the play area before and after our meal. Our holiday is only a week but we may well be back.

Tuesday, March 18, we ate delicious pancakes with the residents of small-scale living. There was a warm welcome and a relaxed atmosphere. The service was great and the food was delicious. Worth repeating.

Large restaurant with friendly service and a great choice of menu. So many different pancakes that I couldn't make a choice! Ultimately we went for a composite savory and sweet cheesecake pancake. Intense units but very tasty. Also try the farmer's milkshake, it was magical. Highly recommended! Ps, your dog can come in provided it is properly protected.

This is a fine restaurant. Less fun was that we had to wait quite a long time in an otherwise empty restaurant. Six people for four tables, but it still takes at least fifteen minutes before you get their attention. In addition, we received the wrong order, which made it take even longer. The restaurant is nicely decorated, the slightly burnt pancake tasted fine, and when you speak to the staff they are very friendly. But next time I won't drive 20 minutes for it.
