We had lunch here this afternoon. There were three of us and the very friendly hostess gave us a lovely table! The homemade pea soup was absolutely delicious! And my table companions also highly recommended the loaded Fries hachee and the "twelve-hour" meal; we really enjoyed it!

Unfortunately, we didn't eat there; everyone else got their food except us. Strange. After over an hour, we left, having paid for our drinks, of course. So I don't think they'll see us again.

What a nice place to eat. Food, simply delicious and more than enough. The soups were very tasty beforehand and the fish and chips as the main meal. Really tasty fresh fish and no frozen products that you get served in other places. Dessert, honey cake and tiramisu were more than delicious. And then I haven't even mentioned the very friendly, non-pushy service. All in all, highly recommended!

Service was extremely incompetent, even annoying (every 20 minutes) asking "if we can pour something for you" and a pulled chicken sandwich for €14.50 is really a gross scandal. By the way, the other dishes were fine.

Had a really delicious meal here with a sharing dinner. Very tasty food, the cod and steak were perfect and the service was cheerful and attentive. The shop itself was also very attractive. Definitely come back here!

There is a good chef in the kitchen here! Delicious food (dinner) - excellent menu - cozy atmosphere - neat and clean restaurant. We had dinner here on time with young children, but it took a very long time before the first starter was on the table. It's nice that this restaurant didn't have a children's menu with fries and chicken nuggets! Just being able to order from the menu, great! We would like to come back again, only without children, so that we can have a nice long meal. A bit cold at the window, but I think there will be additional windows in the winter because of single glazing.

Starter was good, Main course was bland. Part of the map was missing. Coffee was no longer served at half past eight because they were already cleaning the machine. The fresh mint tea was not fresh (not drunk) Was very quiet. There was a draft between the porch and the door. Maybe seal it off? Nice music and nicely decorated. She politely asked the questions she was supposed to ask. And everything was right on time.

We had a view of the cook and that didn't make us happy, she didn't seem to enjoy her work. The service, on the other hand, was great. My €9 pancake was way too expensive, my husband's salad was fine.

Portions too small The portions are very, very small. Within our view, two people had ordered the same thing. When the food was served we heard that the order had been combined, which meant far too little. Other dishes were also too small. This makes it a pricey restaurant. In addition, 4 dishes were missing from the menu. Staff was friendly.

When we were there on Friday at 6 p.m. it was very quiet. Service was nice, although the fish fillet was a bit excessive with some pieces of fish that were on top of a container full of fries. The onion soup was disappointing, I got a bowl full of onions and some liquid (where is the bread and cheese from the photo?) Furthermore, the food was reasonable, but a lot of it. Voor de lunch zochten we een restaurant, omdat het er aantrekkelijk uitzag en de hond hier mee naar binnen mocht hebben we hier gegeten. Er is een ruime selectie taart, maar ik koos voor een tosti rosbief. Lekkere tosti, helemaal met een kopje koffie erbij. Ze heen een mooi terras. Maar omwille van het weer, lekker binnen gezeten.

Received as a gift last Friday to eat there. It was a gift through and through. A very snow-covered restaurant located between Brink 15 and the Pompstee. Atmospheric, warm and cozy opportunity to have something to eat. We had a 3 course menu here. Shapoo for the cook!! Many dishes were home-made, the hostess told us. And you could taste that too.😆 Delicious 😋😋 The cutlery was placed on the table with gloves. Which makes you feel luxurious in higher spheres. The menu told us something different. Decent prices for a good product. Certainly not expensive. And something for everyone, including vegetarians. And many! And bread. Reference to their restaurant name. Too bad they don't have their own Facebook page in Roden, so you can post something nice. Only possible at the Assen location. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit!🥳 We will visit this more often. See you soon.💫

Saturday evening and not busy but also not enough staff. The price and quality were not up to par.

Never been here before. He's a bit hidden in Roden. Very unfortunate because it is a good restaurant. Nice "homely" atmosphere. All very nice, including the waitress. Put the cutlery down with a glove 👌 and had an onion soup as a starter. It had a rich flavor and lots of onion in a delicious soup. Main course: homemade grandmother's stew. The board is very nicely laid out. with all kinds of fries and raw vegetables. It was enough. Then the delicious dessert, homemade tiramisu. Once again delicious delicious delicious. I will definitely go here more often🥰

Delicious food. Good service and super friendly and nice staff. Drinks came super fast and even though they were busy the waitress was always there when you needed her. Compliments to the chef 👌🏼. We want to come here more often

A really nice place to have a nice drink! The tea and cake was delicious. I highly recommend the monchou tart with lemon curd. Please keep in mind that it is very dark, very cozy and cozy, but quite dark.

Had dinner at the B&S on Saturday evening. It was very quiet, less than a quarter of the tables were occupied Ordered fish and chips, then received a huge mountain of fries with a number of fish pieces on it. As a garnish, add a small bowl of finely grated cabbage with dressing Part of the fries were warm/freshly fried, the rest were cold/old? and not to eat. Apparently old and fresh fries had ended up mixed up on my plate. ☹️ Toilets were not really clean and there were boxes of rubbish in the corner of the toilet/kitchen Not worth repeating, could be a lot better with a little more attention.

Bad operation. Staff were on their phones/laptops while the tables were not clean. It also took a very long time for our drinks to be on the table, and I (an adult) also got a straw in my drink. The pieces of cake were also very large, perfect for sharing. Staff simultaneously went on a smoke break and left the restaurant unmanned. Very disappointing, won't be back again.

The service is not worthy of a catering industry

Cappuccino fine, monou cake delicious, just a pity the apple pie tasted way too much of cinnamon, complained about it and the service halved the price, great solution but I left the pastry.

Very slow service. I think we were only helped after 20 minutes. The wait for the cappuccino and tea also took another fifteen minutes. The ladies behind the bar were busier with useless walking back and forth behind the bar. What I also thought was strange was that we only got one long finger. What's the meaning of this? We had to share it. At first I thought maybe I accidentally forgot, but the guests next to us only had one. They even argued a bit about who could eat it.

On a cold, dark November evening with pouring rain showers, we settled down in De Bakker and Schenker and enjoyed the warm and cozy atmosphere. Ate a richly filled soup and then enjoyed an oversized Atlantic sole as a main course. Delicious fish and with the wine advice from the chef, a real treat! No more room for dessert, so we ended with a fragrant espresso with homemade gingerbread. Highly recommended for the cold winter months.

Echt heerlijk gegeten: een plankje met allerlei lekkere proeverijen, super malse diamanthaas als hoofdgerecht en een aantal kleine nagerechten. Zeer vriendelijke bediening. Zeker een aanrader. Ze maken zelf limoncello, erg lekker! Er waren weinig andere gasten, waarschijnlijk vanwege het vreselijke weer, maar wij hebben een fantastische avond gehad.

Mooie zaak en echt heerlijk eten. Super vriendelijke bediening en de kok kwam aan tafel het menu toelichten. Wij komen er zeker weer 😃

Gezellig restaurant met goede service. Eten was niet hip of bijzonder. Het twaalfuurtje was simpel, op een klein plankje. Broodje warm vlees was met hard gebakken vlees. Niet heel smaakvol. Verse sinaasappelsap was erg lekker.

Op het terras iets gedronken. Lang wachten voordat bestelling werd opgenomen . Het brengen van de bestelling duurde ook behoorlijk lang, terwijl iedereen op het terras al voorzien was.

Heerlijke koffie met kersentaart

Bediening is ondermaats, eerst na enige tijd wachten een Engelse menukaart, vervolgens een Nederlandse gevraagd. Drankje 2x moeten bestellen. Personeel loopt rond, verzorgd plantjes en heeft verder geen oog voor de gasten. Na enige tijd wordt de NL menukaart weer opgehaald, zonder dat ons iets gevraagd wordt. Na lange tijd wachten zijn we maar weer vertrokken zonder iets te eten. Geen aanrader! Over het eten kunnen we niet oordelen, hebben we dus niet gehad omdat personeel erg ongeinteresseerd was, we zijn weg gegaan, ook het afruimen van de rommel van de vorige gasten verloopt erg traag.

In Roden heerlijk op het terras gezeten en genoten van heerlijke cappuccino's met appelgebak en seizoensgebak. Fijne locatie met vriendelijk personeel.

Helaas viel het echt tegen. Via social deal hadden we een high wine gescoord. We waren op zondagavond het enige tafeltje, waar het restaurant natuurlijk niks aan kan doen. Echter kregen we als eerste de vraag wat we willen drinken, terwijl je in mijn optiek een high wine begint met wijn of bubbels, door het restaurant zelf uitgekozen... Daarna werd er een plank op tafel gezet en eet smakelijk gewenst. Dit zonder uitleg over wat er op lag. Daarnaast hadden we aangegeven 1x vega waar geen rekening mee was gehouden. Wel is hier uiteindelijk een plankje met extra kaas voor klaargemaakt. Toen we vroegen wat er op de plank lag was het 'kaas, worst, vlees, kip, en uienringen'. Hier kunnen we niet zoveel mee en de uienringen bleken inktvisringen. Ik vond het erg jammer dat de high wine an sich zo tegenviel want het pand ziet er super uit en leent zich voor fantastische etentjes etc. Maar dit was wel echt jammer.

Nice restaurant. Very good food. Excellent price/quality. I liked the mustard jus even though I really dislike mustard 🙈. Really big desserts. Friendly staff, with some more training and experience they will get better. Now you have to be patient sometimes.

Lunch top Vriendelijk personeel

Wat een slechte zaak,ontzettend traag personeel en allerlei dingen op de kaart niet meer voorradig. Bovendien was het er ook nog koud ! Is de tweede keer dat we hier waren en allebei de keren was het niks. Gewoon niet naar toegaan !!

Wij zijn zaterdag naar de 2e vestiging geweest en nu in Roden. De vorige was in Meppel. Wat een verschil tussen deze 2 filialen. Meppel vol lof en alles in de puntjes geregeld. Wij hadden gereserveerd maar de plaatst was ingenomen door andere gasten, vreemd. Wij kregen een tafeltje voor 2 personen en naast ons stonden 2 tafeltjes waar de hele avond bordjes op bleven staan met " gereserveerd ". De hele avond niemand gekomen en ineens werden de bordjes weggehaald. Bij navraag zei de oudere gastdame ( er was een oudere en een zeer jonge gastdame aanwezig) dat de gasten ergens anders waren gaan zitten. Als we dat hadden geweten dan waren wij een tafeltje opgeschoven want je zit erg dicht naast je buurman. Vreemde gang van reserveren. De oudere gastdame was ruig in serveren ( bij het afruimen stoten ze mij aan met de houtenplank, niet eens een excuus. Ook haar taalgebruik laat te wensen over. Daar in tegen is de jonge gastdame erg jong, verlegen maar wel werkwillig. De tafels Schoonmaken met hetzelfde doekje zonder enige vorm van desinfectie is in corona tijd zeer onwenselijk en zeer onhygiënisch. Als er een goede sturing/ bedrijfsleider komt zal het zeker beter worden. Nu het eten, Het eten was buitengewoon goed, om je vingers bij af te likken. Wij hadden " Sharing vis en vlees" voor 2 personen. Alles meer dan voldoende. Nagerecht was ook super alleen de prijs in vergelijking wat je op je bord krijgt is niet in verhouding, porties zijn te klein of de prijs is te hoog. Bij het afreken kregen wij €20 loyaliteitskorting maar we moesten toch nog ruim €54 aftikken voor 2x fris, hoofdgerecht en 2x nagerecht. Ruim €74 en dat vinden wij te veel voor deze zaak. Wij zullen ons gaan oriënteren op het 3e filiaal in Assen want hier in Roden komen wij niet weer.
