What a fantastic restaurant in a (for me) nostalgic location! Delicious dishes with surprising flavor combinations. Tip: the lobster raviolo = 👌🏻 Perfect service; friendly, welcoming, and attentive but not stuffy. In short: go there and enjoy!

This is by far the best place for fine dining in Delft (that I've been to). I've been here three times so far and each time it manages to be both surprising and excellent. A wonderful evening on the hottest day of the year! We were warmly welcomed. The surprise tasting menu was full of delights - things we’d never choose from a menu - so full of different flavours and many delicate for the time of year. All beautifully presented and accompanied by superb choice of wines. The staff explained every dish and wine. Lovely atmosphere, relaxed. Highly recommend. very nice 5 course menu with lamb, scallops and asparagus. Prepared with great care and nice sauces. Service could have been a bit more active, for example, they did not ask if we wanted cheese instead of sweet as a last course. Nice wine mainly from Italy this time. We had a wonderful meal, we chose the 7-course with wine arrangement with half glasses. The only thing was that the half glasses looked like whole glasses. The wines matched the food perfectly. We enjoyed the delicious food and the wines.

Unique and intensely flavourful dishes full of seasonal ingredients. A highlight is the excellent rilette of lamb neck with asparagus. Perfectly complemented by the wines, which have clearly been selected with love and passion by the staff from vineyards in Italy, among others. Extra bonus: on the website you can order the wines that you liked best to enjoy at home!

Delicious food, beautiful very tasty dishes, beautifully on the plate with the right wines, the right attention and explanation about dish and wine. We hebben heerlijk gegeten bij De Centrale. We kozen voor het 5-gangen verrassingsmenu. Prima porties en het was erg lekker. Er werd goed rekening gehouden met een allergie. De bediening was heel erg vriendelijk en de sfeer in de zaak heel gezellig. Tussen twee gangen ontstond een (te) lange wachttijd en dat werd spontaan tegemoetgekomen door ieder een gratis drankje van het huis. Overige wachttijden waren uitstekend. Fijne ervaring!

We had drinks, bread and dessert. The wine was fabulous, the bread with olive oil was excellent and the dessert was to die for. (We had not planned on dinner). The atmosphere was great. We didn't discover this place until our last night in Delft. Had we seen it earlier, we surely would have made reservations and had dinner. Our kind of place. We talked with the bar staff who were all very nice. Great last night in Delft!

Absolutely love this place. Location wise you'd be forgiven for thinking it might be a tourist trap - It's dining at its finest with very varied and imaginative courses. The wines were really amazing as well. Only negative, service is a bit slow - so be prepared for a longer dining session and let the staff regale you with explanations, they are clearly passionate about the food and wines.

Heerlijk gegeten en gedronken 5 gangen diner, mooie gerechten met de juiste wijnen erbij. Alles werd goed toegelicht waar ze wijnen vandaan kwamen. Personeel goed gefaciliteerd, onze tafel dame hield alles goed in de gaten, kregen water en brood aangevuld. Heerlijke sfeer en ambiance. Alles tafels waren bezet, gezellige sfeer. Sterwaardig restaurant.

Server was excellent. I did not have the wine pairing. However, he recommended an excellent white wine that paired well with the lobster ravioli special and a full-bodied red wine with the beef tenderloin slices. The food was delicious, the wine choices good, and the service excellent. The ambiance was all right but I did not find the ambiance cozy. As a solo diner, I was seated close to the kitchen, which I do not like. Otherwise, my experience was excellent.

Lovely location. Delicious food and excellent service. Though it was fully booked the team was explaining everything in a very charming way. We’ve selected the 5 and 7 course menu and everything was great. We also appreciated very much the specific wine offer, i.e. instead of a normal glass of wine for each course you also can order 1/2 glass. Therefore we also could enjoy champagne and cocktails as aperitif.

De Centrale heeft zich ontwikkeld tot één van de beste restaurants van Delft. Wij genoten van het viergangenmenu met prachtige, goed verzorgde, en vooral goed smakende gerechten voor een redelijke prijs. Mooi wijnarrangement en vriendelijke en kundige bediening. Echt een topzaak!

I found this difficult to judge. The restaurant gets a 4 out of 5 from me, more because of the service than the food itself. We arrived without a reservation and were given a table for 2 on the balustrade on the first floor where we sat next to each other. A bit awkward at first, but it wasn't that bad because of the view over the restaurant. There was enough room to speak to each other between meals. We had a 4-course dinner for €60 per person. My wife took the wine tasting package of 16 or 18 euros (smaller glasses of wine with the dishes). We also drank filtered sparkling water and unlike other restaurants this was extremely affordable and only cost 3 euros per bottle of about three quarters of a liter, something that I can only applaud. We first got an amuse-bouche that was incredibly tasty and therefore exceeded our expectations. However, the first dish was the least tasty of the series. Scallops in a sweet sauce that overpowered the flavor of the seafood. There were also slices of radish on top that were cut too thickly for this purpose. This was followed by a piece of fish on a bed of lentil curry with a biscuit and this is where one of the disadvantages of the floor in the restaurant comes into play, because the mise-en-place of my plate was disturbed. My cookie had fallen over and the waiter was trying to fix it next to the table, which seemed a bit clumsy and unsanitary. We later also saw that one of the waiters had to return downstairs because he tripped on the stairs with the plates. The operation and clearing for the upper part is all done via the stairs. I found it difficult to understand that there was no small elevator in the restaurant. The venue staff will have strong legs. Getting back to the food: the lentil curry was ok but had a simple curry taste. The third dish was the main course and my wife who doesn't eat meat got octopus on some kind of puree I thought. She thought it was tasty and the best dish of the three. I myself got a piece of beautifully pink fried beef and a Polenta cookie that was baked nice and crispy. The taste of the dark sauce was a bit too full of flavor, so I had the feeling that it overpowered the taste of the meat, but it was a good combination in terms of flavors and tasty enough. There is little to say about the dessert. A typical collection of sweets that are quite tasty but do not stand out from the crowd. You may now think that it is a bad restaurant, but in terms of price-quality ratio I thought it was not too bad. 'In the end you get 4 dishes for 60 euros and the menu is variable and can therefore have better combinations. I would give the food a 3 out of 5, but I am quite critical. However, apart from the cookie incident, the service was of top quality and I would easily give it a 4.5 to 5. The staff is extremely polite. For some reason we had to wait a long time between our dishes and although we were not really in a hurry, the receptionist was very apologetic and offered us a drink to make up for this, which we thought was a pleasant surprise. A restaurant with potential if the quality of the dishes is slightly improved or better at the moment.

Had a delicious meal here yesterday. The surprise menu consists of subtle, tasty, fresh dishes. And within that, the starter, entree and desert were the standouts. The service is also excellent. Friendly and professional, although describing the dishes was relatively quick. The building itself has a nice atmosphere.

It is a nice restaurant with very good service. I would not recommend it for vegetarian food; we almost could not eat our vegetarian food. The ones with meat and fish were happy. The service was excellent; they considered our individual needs so well, and also the courses came at very good timing.

Dit is geen eten, dit is een beleving! Ontzettend originele en lekkere gerechten met de mooiste smaakcombinaties in een prachtige opmaak. De sommelier weet echt alles, de bediening is perfect en in alles behulpzaam en ook de keuken verstaat haar vak! Dit alles in een sfeervolle omgeving in een monumentaal pand in het centrum van Delft. Dit is een restaurant waar je naar terug komt!

Knowledgeable and hospitable staff. A small point for improvement: the chairs. Not comfortable for tall people if you want to dine for a long time.

Honestly, it's the best dining experience my wife and I have had in Delft. We tried the 5 course option with the half glass wine pairing. We couldn't have been happier. It was a magical experience. The courses were delicious and the wine was sublime. De Centrale is a hidden gem in the center of Delft. Definitely the place for a date night!

What a beautiful place! Really delicious food and very friendly service. It was my friend's birthday and I brought the candles myself, they put them on his dessert and they also decorated the plate nicely 😊. The scallops and duck breast were our favorites. Unfortunately we didn't have much time and therefore had to opt for a four-course menu, but we will definitely come back for the seven-course dinner!

Always a menu that the chef has put together. You can indicate what you do not like / allergies. Food was very tasty, we had a 4 course menu. I expected more in terms of quantity for the main course, but it was now quite the same as the starter/intermediate course. Wine pairing was fine. We spent a total of 5 hours here, unfortunately we waited more than 40 minutes for dessert. The staff was friendly and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere.

Absolutely amazing, ventilation is just a bit bad so had dry eyes with kitchen smoke . But I recommend the food and service is top!
