Had a delicious ramen with all the trimmings.

Even Japanese people say this is the best ramen in the Netherlands. The free extra portion is a special service that you won't find anywhere else.

The definition of the Michelin stars are 1: worth a stop, 2: worth a detour, 3: worth a trip. By this definition, this is my personal 3 star!

The best ramen I've had outside of Japan. Japanese staff and a typically Japanese atmosphere.

We ordered soy source and chicken soup ramen. Unfortunately, the topping of pork meat stinks and the soup base is too salty. We keep drinking water to balance the flavor during and also after the meal. The portion is a little bit small. So it means you need to order extra food for your lunch or dinner. Nevertheless, the noodle itself is in high quality and the service is very good.

One of the best ramen spots in the Netherlands! The staff was very kind and the food came out quickly. The shoyu ramen was delicious! Also it was free to get a “large” portion upgrade, which is absolutely a plus.

The ramen was good but not really something special.. it was very poor: 16 euro for just two slice of pork inside and some vegetables. For put one egg they ask 2 euro.. that's really expensive. Honestly there are a lot of places doing it better, more rich and good. The personal was nice at least :)

Their ramen is wonderful. The noodles, vegetables, and broth all have the perfect "bite" to them. Not soggy/watery nor chewy/hard. I had the miso (vegetarian) ramen, and my boyfriend + his family had the Shoyu. I would like to commend the staff's cooperation with one another. The waitress openly admitted that she wrote an order incorrectly, and the chef(s) were both very kind, comforting, and easy to talk to. If you're visiting Delft, then this is a MUST. 🍜

Its the best ramen ive had. Its not even close. Theres a line outside every day for very good reason, it gets made in front of you. The staff is nice and speaks english. Loved it, im glad i live nearby!

It was ok. I did not think the ramen or the side dishes we ordered were any special, both in taste and presentation. The place is quite busy and a bit cramped, especially if you are with more than two people.

Excellent Ramen shop! There was a queue when we arrived and even though they close at 9pm, they still let us and several behind us in just before 9pm and patiently prepared all the food. Couldn't be happier with the taste 😋

Small place and it is almost always full, very tasty food! We had the chicken with spicy sesame-chili sauce, very tasty! Then the chef's special and the ramen with chicken, there is a lot of pork on the menu so if you don't eat that I wouldn't go here, they are also open to a limited extent so pay attention to that! They also do to-go and have a shop further down the street.

Love the taste of ramen here! We especially recommend the chicken white soup Shio flavor ramen. The soup contains a hint of grapefruit, which is smooth and delicious. The boss is Japanese, but this is better than the ramen I have eaten in Japan🫶

The best and most authentic ramen i have tried so far, the broth is rich and creamy and very delicious! I always try their number one ramen on their menu with their amazing and delicious broth and pork, with added eggs which are amazing with the dish. Their dumplings are also very very delicious and a must try

We tried two types of ramen and both were absolutely delicious. The broth was especially flavorful and rich. It was also quite filling. The staff were attentive and very polite. We were really satisfied with our experience. Would definitely come back!

Amazing Ramen in an authentic Japanese style restaurant. There is almost always a queue there, so be prepared to wait abit. The staff are nice and the food is made in front of you.

This ramen shop is the perfect place to experience how ramen, which is treated as fast food in Japan, has transformed in the Netherlands. In Japan, it is not uncommon for customers to order within a minute of entering the store, and in some cases ordering at the food ticket machine before entering the store. However, here you may have to wait 5 minutes just to order. The wait time for the food to arrive is even more surprising, with wait times of over 30 minutes being common. It's really ridiculous to have to wait so many times longer for ramen when you should be able to finish it in 5 minutes and go back to work. It is recommended for those who want to experience the "Japanese-style ramen experience" in the Netherlands, but it may not be suitable for those looking for efficiency.

Visited for the first time yesterday. I received the Tsukemen. I was a little scared because I could see the owner's tattoo, but the tsukemen was very delicious and I ate it all without changing the price. It was worth waiting in line for an hour in the cold. The staff had a good atmosphere, and the owner looked me in the eye at the end and thanked me, which made me feel good and had a good customer service atmosphere. I would like to come again.

If I was on death row and had to pick a last meal it would be their fish-chicken ramen!

A homegrown passionate ramen place run by Japanese owners! Nothing beats a warm bowl of ramen made with love. It’s clean and warm and welcoming with a line out the door more often than not!

One of the better Ramen tents in the Netherlands. Price-quality is definitely worth it and you will feel like you are back in Japan. I live in Amsterdam and you really can't eat ramen there that is also good for €13. Had the Toripaitan ramen +shumai. Go for the Tsukemen next time! Sometimes you have to wait in line for a while, but be patient, you will have forgotten it once you take a bite of your ramen. Went there today and there was only 1 lady working (quite a job for a full tent inside and on the terrace, so have some patience, it may take a while)

Overhyped and therefore prices have increased sharply. €20 for a soup. For that money you get unfriendly staff, made us wait outside in the cold for more than 30 minutes while there was clearly room inside. Refusing to add an extra chair. Also refused to add extra gyoza as a topping. Very cramped, hot and humid inside. In addition, the kitchen is poorly cleaned. Avoid the hype.

Small place does not allow reservations. The wait at the door was worth it. Delicious.

Definitely the best ramen restaurant in the Netherlands The homemade noodles are smooth and go down smoothly, and the soup has the flavor and richness that Japanese people would appreciate. Personally, I also love big and fluffy shumai. *Updated in December 2024 The homemade noodles that used to be so delicious have recently become softer than I expected, and I feel like they have lost a bit of flavor. Is it overcooked? …Improvement!

Very nice ramen! The chicken soup is so good!

The queues can sometimes be very long, for that, I recommend you arrive here before 6pm. The ramen was prepared right in front of me. Vegan ramen is not my taste, but it's the only menu that can be eaten for me. I challenged myself by speaking a little Japanese and the staff were kind enough to praise my efforts.

I thought ramen was supposed to taste like water and rice noodles until I came here. Never have I tasted ramen so delicious before. And the price was so good too!

Better than expected, had the 醤油ラーメン (shoyu ramen), noodles were good, broth was mild. Give it a try when traveling in Delft.

This cozy ramen restaurant is always busy. We were there before opening time so that we were sure that we could accommodate 2 adults and 3 children. The staff is super helpful and friendly. She made room in the small room so that we could still sit at the table with 5 people. This is a place where you won't dine for hours because it is so small. We wanted to eat as quickly as possible to make room for other people waiting outside. The special this month is a ramen with toritaipan base but with beef and truffle oil. Very tasty! I recommend ordering an egg with it. The portions can be ordered extra large free of charge, provided you can actually eat them. Waste is (rightly) not appreciated. The children also really liked the kids shio ramen. Nice that they also have Japanese drinks such as ramune and fanta grape on the menu.

The service is good but can't really understand the popularity. The quality of ramen was by far not great. Gyouza was also not great.

small authentic ramen restaurant in the centre of beautiful Delft ok, some people already mentioned it, but i have to say it as well - they make one of the best ramens in the Netherlands! we had shoyu and toripaitan, both super strong and delicious, with all the tasty toppings you would expect. as a side dish i must recommend the boiled chicken with spicy sesame sauce, again so damn tasty! they have about 15 spots, most on the bar where you can watch the chef. as it usually goes with this kind of restaurant, you might wait outside until they have free spot for you. we waited about 45 mins, but was well worth it it's like 5 mins walk from the nearest parking garage if you have to come with a car

My must have or visi every time visiting a beautiful city of Delft. Really like the noodle and rich broth of the chicken soup. They have other branch for tonkotsu ramen, and they are amazing too! In addition to that, you can really feel the friendly service and vibe of Japanese ramen shop

Update Aug 31st 2024: still the best, see the picture: ask the chef and he whips up something not even on the menu :) To be honest: I went to a lot of ramen places in the Netherlands, but NONE of them can compete with this place. Yes it’s quite small but call it cozy. I mean, come on! From the starters, side dishes and of course the ramen noodles, everything tastes so so good. We sat in front of the cook and saw him work his magic. It’s an hours drive but worth every minute of it. Highly recommended, taste it and be amazed! (we waited a few minutes outside but the waitress came out and took our order so as soon as we sat down, the food started coming☺️)

Great ramen, great food. Most days there is a line so that deducts some points on service to me. Service itself is standard for ramen shop, minimum, to get your food there and you eating asap. Atmosphere wise is good, entire shop smells great because of the broth.

Visited Nikkou Ramen in Delft, and I will declare a bold statement here: for me, it has one of the finest ramen in the Netherlands! My go-to order is the Toripaitan Shio Ramen, a sumptuous bowl featuring a rich chicken broth, tender chicken fillet, bamboo shoots, radish, and red onion. The broth is exceptionally thick and flavorful, a quality unmatched by any other ramen I’ve sampled in the Netherlands. Each element is meticulously prepared, and the addition of an ajitama egg perfects the dish. Accompanying my meal, I enjoy a Kimura Ramune Carbonated soft drink. It's mild carbonation is a delight, especially since I prefer drinks that aren't overly fizzy. This unique and authentic beverage complements the meal beautifully. The ambiance of Nikkou Ramen is charming, especially if you choose to sit at the ramen bar, where you can observe the preparation of your meal. Though the space is intimate, it evokes the authentic feel of a Japanese ramen bar. I highly recommend this gem! Having visited numerous times, I will undoubtedly return. Do note their operating hours, as they are not open every day.

Delicious ramen with delicious side dishes We had the traditional Japanese noodles with delicious edamame and shumai. Ramen Nikkou also has very funny Japanese drinks such as Ramune soda. The service was super attentive with good suggestions. We will definitely come back here.

You'll want to arrive early at this ramen shop due to its popularity and modest size. The ramen is decent—though not the best I've had—with reasonably priced dishes and tasty noodles. However, the music played in the shop feels out of place, detracting from the traditional ramen shop ambiance.

The toilet is located half a meter from the pan with broth, the cooks without gloves touch their body parts first, then the food 3. We eat ramen often and everywhere, and this is the worst ramen I've ever eaten. Especially the smell

The creamy chicken ramen is one of best ramen I've ever had! (even the ramen here is imo much better than ramen I've tried in Japan) The only sad thing is they recently opened the 3rd restaurant in Rotterdam and not in the Hague! I hope they also open the restaurant in the Hague since there are no great place to eat tasty ramen like this.

I have barely ever seen this restaurant without a line waiting outside. The waiting time itself was about 30 minutes at lunch on a week day. The excitement to enter was high, and the ramen topped it up perfectly! In the end, it was all worth it. A perfect burst of flavour, the best ramen broth I’ve ever had. This has been by far the best ramen experience I’ve ever had.

We’ve eaten lots of Ramen in Seattle and Los Angeles and this was the best by a long shot. We had the Shoyu and everything about it was awesome including even the noodles. You won’t regret coming if you have the chance!

I didn’t know there are 2 Ramen Nikkou in delft and I entered a wrong one. I should have gone to Donkotsu one. I got disappointed with their ramens even if we waited for over 40 mins outside. chashu (shoyu ramen) meat and chicken breast (some chicken base ramen) had some meat smell.. and I also smelled that glass cup smells like a (water) fishy and table was sticky. Food came out very fast and service was friendly but I don’t think I will come this place again;

It is very difficult for me to come to the decision of writing this review because Ramen Nikkou has been one of my favorite restaurants and I’ve been loving the food here. However after being mistreated by the chef today I think it is necessary to express my disappointment. While waiting in line, my friend and I asked one of the waiters if we could take the table outside which had not been taken by anyone yet. The friendly waiter informed us that we would have to wait for even longer if we wanted to sit outside. After about 10 minutes the table was still untaken so I went inside and asked again if we could take it. The waiter then had a conversation with the chef in Japanese and afterwards the chef pointed at the door and asked me to “get out and wait in line.” I tried to politely ask for the reason but again was pointed at by the chef and was then rudely asked to get out without receiving any form of explanation. Without any intention to cause any trouble or even to have an argument, I couldn’t wrap my head around why I was treated like that in front of a crowd. The other waiters were super friendly but unfortunately the hostile attitude from the chef made me extremely uncomfortable.

Fantastic. Couple of notable things: eat and leave. That takes some getting used to. There is always a line waiting outside. But completely worth it. It is the nicest, most flavorful and above all not so salty ramen I have had so far. Have had many in Rotterdam, but this is my favorite. At this place you have the feeling that you are in Japan.

The ramen is fresh and chicken broth is tasty (no after thirsty). Very pricy for few ingredients in the bowl and uncomfortable seating. The noodle is not well-ramen-arranged. Egg takes 2 eu more. It's a tight place and staffs look stressed out during lunch time. Handling over the bowl could be better served. Green tea is teabag, was expecting green leaves.

Really good ramen, the atmosphere is nice, staff are really friendly and attentive. The place is small and crowded, with an open kitchen and mostly bar seating. Only open for a couple of hours for lunch and then another few for dinner and doesn't take reservations. So not very suitable for groups or families with small children. Despite their limited capacity I didn't feel rushed by staff to free up my seat, which was a nice surprise. The food was very good, very hot, noodles cooked to perfection, but too salty for my taste, and it could've done with more vegetables, the balance with the amount of noodles was a bit off. I made the mistake of ordering a large, I did finish it all (because I hate to waste food and so does the restaurant), but the regular size would have been enough, even for a very hungry caterpillar like myself. Menu options are limited; which is not a downside for me, (it usually means everything's more fresh,) but I thought I'd mention it anyway. Prices are a bit high (would've been 5 stars if not for that), so it won't become a regular lunch spot for me, but worth it as a treat every once in a while.

I could feel the taste that reminds the streets of Kansai during the time of eating here's Ramen even if I am a Korean in the Netherlands. The flavorful soup from chicken and pork has made my stomach feel the warm Onsen in Japanese forest. It feels like I took out my stomach and soaked it in warm onsen water to relax, and took back to my body now.

Very sweet and fast service and delicious ramen, we had the veggie miso ramen and the tsukemen ramen, both absolutely recommended! We were a bit hesitant when we saw that there was a line outside, but it was resolved very quickly and we were helped very friendly in the line.

Very good ramen, one of the best I ever had

I was really exited to have the Ramen! So I went to Delif for that😆 The restaurant was quite small, I had to wait around 15 minutes outside with coldness. But it was worth it. My tsukemen noodles was much thinner than ai thought. But the noodles was nice :) and Toripaitan was really nice. I think it goes really well rice! I'm sure 👍🏻 I want to try Shoyu Ramen next time!
