You can sit inside, but there is also an outdoor terrace... you can see planes taking off and landing. Enjoy a nice lunch. Children are safe on the terrace. Also a nice stop if you are traveling by bike.

The service was not good. No one came by; you had to go to the bar to order, which is unusual.

They expected "a Rallye" in an hour and were not able to serve anything.

As you drive there, you might think you have no business being there because you effectively have to enter a fenced area. A small airfield. We were able to enjoy a nice midday snack there. So definitely go. The menu was more extensive than I dared to imagine.

Very nice place with nice food and nice service. They sell local beer which was delightful! We tried homemade burgers and the meat was fantastic. Fritjes very tasty too. In the end, we tried mango cheesecake which was also very tasty. Our child got an airplane paper toy. Really nice experience, we gonna come again in summer.

It's great to be able to eat something while watching planes take off right next to you. The hamburger was pretty good too. You should definitely try it.

Nice restaurant with a terrace at Kempen Airport Budel. From the terrace, you can see the planes and trikes (Delta aircraft) up close. I sat on the terrace with friends again in July 2025. The service and quality are excellent now. The cappuccino is really well made. Give it a try! Kempen Airport remains a nice place to visit.

Have a quick lunch during a motorcycle ride or visit to Craenenbroek

Didn't eat, just had a few drinks. Friendly service, nice and quiet seating, unfortunately didn't see a plane landing.

Update July 18, 2025. We thought we'd watch planes, drink beer, and eat. Unfortunately, you can't (anymore?) eat at De Coockpit. At least, we can't. Service on the terrace is also no longer available. Beer is fine as usual, but you have to get it yourself. ----- Unique view, super quiet (when there are no planes landing or taking off), luxurious dishes at affordable prices, and in the evenings you can often spot animals in the forest across the street.

Nice location especially with good weather then there is quite some activity with the planes. Terrace is a bit small.

We had reserved a table here for 8 people. My husband had been there a few weeks ago to fix it. But when we got there, there was no reservation in the system. Luckily, it was quite quiet and there was a table available. The food was just okay. Afterwards, we had a drink on the terrace.

You can expect it at an airport, perfect inside, terrace with lots of noise during departure and arrival of planes, but also very nice to see. Menu is okay, plenty to choose from. Be careful with debit card payments and check before approval whether the amount entered is correct. We paid €60 too much, which has been neatly repaired.

We had a wonderful meal in the coockpit, for a very reasonable price. The deer croquettes were particularly tasty, one of the few places where the homemade croquettes are actually homemade. Also very nice to see a sports plane land.

We hebben super lekker gegeten in de coockpit, voor een zeer schappelijke prijs. De hertenkroketjes waren bijzonder lekker, een van de weinige zaken waar de zelfgemaakte kroketten effectief zelfgemaakt zijn. Ook heel leuk om een sportvliegtuigje te zien landen.

De bediening is onervaren maar wel heel vriendelijk. Het menu biedt voldoende keuze en het eten was prima. Helaas was de muziek ronduit storend .

Lekker eten voor een goede prijs. Locatie op vliegveld Budel waar je tijdens het eten vliegtuigen ziet landen en opstijgen.

Gluten free toast was like concrete. Chicken was dry. They do not seem to know the difference between gamba and scampi. Burger was raw.

Gezellig met collega-vrijwilligers. Toch de nodige aanmerking m.b.t. de service van De Coockpit: - wel thee, geen theeglazen - soep = bouillon met ballen - pastei, brandertje op gegeven moment uit - friet onder de tafel - tafelkleed bevuild - witte kleed erover ook met vlek Jammer...

Gezellig, vriendelijk, goede verhoyding prijs kwaliteit eten en drinken

Coffee nothing special. Tough Macron. 12 hours of thick brown and white bread, a fried egg and croquette. Dull knife for cutting. Just add lettuce. No cucumber or tomatoes added. The atmosphere could also have been much better. Plus point toilets were clean, unfortunately no soap in dispenser. If it were super busy now, the quality and care for the edges could suffer, but with only 16 customers...

A bite to eat next to the airport. Obviously not a busy airport, but there are local flights. Restaurant/cafe is cozy. View of the runway. There is a terrace, but it is less cozy, perhaps not yet prepared for the summer? Food is tasty and good coffee. Parking is available in front of the door. Separate room. For parties etc.

Lovely place to sit outside in the nice weather. The activity of the small airport makes it pleasant. Friendly service, delicious coffee and the apple pie was great.

It was another wonderful evening of enjoyment with the whole family, and we were also able to enjoy the take-off and landing of airplanes and hang gliders while eating and drinking.

Quite a pleasant location, especially for those who like to spot planes. Smooth service and a nice menu: menu with enough choices per item. Food itself was tasty. The proportions could be better. I thought there was a bit too much sauce with the carpaccio, the quiche as a main course was really not enough (yet tasty), the burgers were very tasty, the steak was also well cooked and served with tasty vegetables. Opinions were somewhat divided about the desserts: from 'little' to 'enough', from 'delicious' to 'special'. The 'Dutch' cheese dish spoke 'French' and included lettuce, which we think is not a good combination. Arugula and/or a jam would go better with this.

Mooie plaats, maar helaas geen vliegtuigen zien landen, wel heerlijk gegeten, complimenten voor de service. fijn om ook daar eens aanwezig te zijn.

Langs gegaan voor een snelle hap omdat we er in de buurt waren. Echt snel was de hap niet, en erg groot ook niet...een maaltijdsalade viel nogal klein uit en was nogal inspiratieloos. Bediening deed wel hun best. Niet slecht, maar ook niet voor herhaling

Weer super lekker gegeten bij de Coockpit! Hier werkt een mooi team aan lekkere gerechten en ondertussen is het mooi kijken naar de vliegtuigen die binnen komen en opstijgen. Super prijs kwaliteit!

For my wedding, my new father in law gave me a free flight at this airport. The coupon looked like he made it himself, in a style with Comic Sans on a home made print. I figured it was a symbolic coupon and put it in the wedding album, with other cards and gifts. I didn’t bring it to the flight. I had the flight. But without the coupon, I had to pay for it: € 114. No problem, I thought, I would fix that with the coupon later. But: problem. They wouldn’t return my money. They stated I had to fly again, use the coupon. Although it says ‘it gives the right to a flight’ and they keep a list of their coupons that could have been checked and marked ‘used’ when I had my flight, I couldn’t get my money back. So when you ever do something at Kempen Airport, make sure you don’t pay twice. You won’t get your money back when you’re entitled to it. It’s a shame and a nasty stain on the wedding gift from my father in law.

Heerlijk gegeten met perfecte bediening. Leuk dat ze zelfs aanboden om zelf een gerecht door te geven indien dit niet op de kaart stond. Echt een aanrader!

Ongedwongen en pretentieloos. Erg vriendelijk. Wij gaan hier heel graag met de kinderen lunchen. Meer dan prima prijs-kwaliteit verhouding.

as always, great place to be if your hobby is flying or spotting fights. The restaurant is very nice and the chocolate beans along with coffee at or tea is special there.

Regular office party place. Good Dutch food, ambience and hispitality have always been contenting.Along with the food, the scene of planes taking off and landing is a bonus. Their finger-food platter is defintely worth mentioning. Beer choice is limited and mostly local beer Budel is commonly ordered. Has a good hall for bigger parties.
