My wife and I popped in here for a cup of coffee and a treat. The apple pie was excellent, but we didn't like the coffee. Even the free cup at the optician's we'd just left was better. It was also way too expensive for what it offered. I don't really like writing bad reviews, but I hope this will give me the insight to do something about the quality and price. I'd definitely come back if I did.

Ordered mashed potatoes online. 1. It was half an hour late. The food was cold. 2. Three hairs in the mashed potatoes, absolutely disgusting. We will never order them again.

Lunch is decent. Plates are full, but not particularly tasty. Value for money, but I've had better elsewhere. I'll definitely look elsewhere next time.

Beautiful place, cozy atmosphere, excellent service. But the lunch is incredibly expensive/overpriced. It's been better.🫰 That's what keeps us from coming back.

The food itself was fine. Plenty of options too. I found the birds in the hall (parrot and cockatoo) very strange. For me, that's a reason to never go back. Who would think of putting such animals in such an environment, like stuffing? I find it quite disrespectful and pathetic. Birds don't belong in such places.

Very delicious food, especially their grilled chickens! The service at the actual restaurant is very friendly and welcoming. However, when it comes to ordering I have not been so pleased the past couple of times .If I order for my food to be delivered at 19:00 they are already at my door 15 minutes before. What if I wasn't home yet and there was a reason why I specifically chose 19:00. Also, on their website they it states that they close at 20:00, however if you try and order something 15 minutes before closing they have already close the kitchen. I don't think that is correct, then maybe place a notice that people shouldn't order then or update the closing times. If you ask the staff about it on the phone, you get a very rude reaction and sometimes they even just hang up on you.

A very nice restaurant with a comfortable seating area. The food is excellent, and the staff is very friendly and dogs are welcome. The owner is a very kind man. In a word, excellent.

The fish pan with salmon and whitefish was well-filled with a slightly spicy touch, combined with white rice. A delicious dish. The cordon bleu pork and side dishes: carrot, celery, broccoli, potatoes, and fries were also very tasty. The lava with strawberries, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream was a worthy dessert to finish off.... Friendly service.

The atmosphere is good. The waitstaff is great, but the chef needs to go back to school. The chicken soup is very salty. It was Cordon Bleu week, a menu for €25.95! You should expect more than a fried!! small Cordon Bleu with a small salad and a cone of fries. Such a shame!

Right in the center of Leek, you'll find De Dorpskamer, a cozy spot with a lovely, spacious terrace. Upon entering, you'll be greeted by a truly unique welcome: a green-winged parrot and a grey-redstart. Two beautiful, imposing birds that immediately create a pleasant atmosphere (and spark conversation). The food is excellent: well-seasoned, beautifully presented, and very affordable. No frills, just good, cozy dining. Combine that with the central location and relaxed atmosphere, and you have a place you'll definitely want to return to. In short: if you're in Leek or driving nearby, definitely plan a stop here. You'll get good food, a lovely terrace, and a unique welcome from two winged hosts.

After waiting 45 minutes for our salads, the salmon salad turned out to be far too salty, so we left most of it. When we paid, we commented that it was too salty and not tasty. The only response was that there was no salt in it, rather than a comment, which was a shame. We'd rather have a village room.

Sat on the terrace, it was lovely. The food was delicious. The service was okay. It was a shame there were dogs on the terrace.

Delicious fries! Nice bread board! Good wine. Only the spareribs main course wasn't good. Very tough, just as much meat on the bone as in my belly 🙈. Recommended for lunch, but not for dinner.

We didn't quite like it....my husband had a hot roll but it had more bacon bits than meat, therefore quite salty...I had 12 o'clock...cheese soup, the taste was fine but this too had a lot of bacon bits in it...(I think a cheese soup should be vegetarian) this too was quite salty...I also had a cheese croquette but I got a regular croquette, I reported this and got a cheese croquette anyway, but because of that the uitsmijter had gotten cold (I got the same one back too) all not as it should be.....too bad...🧐😐

We dropped by spontaneously on a Saturday evening, and luckily there was still room for us. It was also packed, which made it incredibly noisy. We had trouble hearing each other at the table. Prices were very high, with only one dish under €20.

Delicious, in one word, and the service was super friendly. We will do that again!

A review is being requested, so let's move on. All the food was served lukewarm, as if it had been in transit from kitchen to table for too long. The taste was good, but it would have been better at the right temperature. The cafe concept does not work if you want a quiet meal, because the dining tables are surrounded by people who come for a nice drink. So it was much too noisy to just eat, the service also participated in this. I think this could be more separated. So the price/quality ratio is not right. So this is a one-off for us.

Although I did not have very good experiences with either lunch or dinner here (mediocre food), I am happy to come back because it is such a beautiful place. The interior is beautifully styled and I like the terrace. The snack bar side is great. We come every week for a delicious scoop of ice cream in the summer. The prices are very fair. Today (4:30 PM) I thought it was a shame that in addition to the employee who neatly helped me with an ice cream, an employee was eating next to her pontifical with a plate on top of the counter/countertop.

We had a wonderful meal and drinks with our children and grandchild for our 12.5 year wedding anniversary!!

This is a perfect restaurant for various occasions. I went to meet with my colleague and the service, ambience and food was great, not to mention the location.

The price/quality ratio is excellent. The staff is friendly and you will be helped quickly. The spareribs we had came off the bone easily but were still a bit tough. They also didn't taste great. Vegetables, potatoes and fries were fine.

Voor het eerst hier gegeten. Was in 1 woord super. Ik ga hier zeer zeker vaker heen. Niet alleen voor het diner, maar binnenkort ook zeker een keer voor de lunch, of gewoon voor een cappucino met wat lekkers erbij. Super lekker eten, super vriendelijk personeel, en dat alles in een prachtig mooi en net restaurant. Dit restaurant is zeer zeker aan te bevelen.

What was supposed to be a nice birthday outing really turned out to be a downer. Indicated in advance that it had to be cow's milk free and also during the order. Very friendly restaurant, nice atmosphere and very good food. Fresh starters, good quality main courses with unlimited side dishes. Deserts nice portions, not too stingy with ice cream, whipped cream and chocolate. Highly recommended for family or friends evenings. Sitting down just to have a drink is no problem. When visiting, it was indicated that the chocolate could be separate for the Dame Blanche. Some time later I went again and concluded that they had listened: the chocolate had been placed separately next to it. In short, highly recommended!

Delicious mustard soup, pork roulade with sauce that didn't taste like anything(?), had asked for pepper sauce. But didn't taste any pepper. Dessert Tiramisu was fine. Wine white was also good. Add two vegetables, cauliflower and raw vegetables and fried potatoes and fries. That's very nice, those two types of vegetables.

Are you thinking about having a nice dinner with your children for Father's Day? What a disappointment that was. My son immediately said it looks like a Sonac box and I have nothing to add to that. Passed this on to the waitress but nothing was done about it, I paid nicely, but won't be back. Big minus for me.

Nice eatery. Next to the children's play corner is not an ideal place to have table conversations. The noise from that corner makes it difficult to understand each other.

It looks nice at the Dorpskamer in Leek. But we no longer go there for soft ice cream and ice cream. Our giant cup for 2.50 euros squeaked less than 2 cm above the cup. A mini giant cup. The cup was also not filled to the sides and it took a very long time to fill a cup with this soft ice cream machine. It was nice and soft and creamy ice cream. The customers in front of us had ice cream. Also very expensive here at 1.60 euros, but that is normal in the catering industry nowadays. Although you do get larger bulbs from competitors. Very small balls here.

What a beautiful restaurant and snack bar, what more could you want, had a delicious lunch and plan to go out for dinner with my family, so that says enough, chicken, meat, fish and vegetarian or vegan, the choice is huge. and nice people, so if you want something, go to the village room.
