Not an establishment for people with food intolerances. When asked if there was sugar in the apple juice, an uninterested teenager showed a questioning expression, followed by a firm "No," as it was apparently asking too much. The food—the steak—was fine, but served with red cabbage prepared with sugar, which offered no alternative for people sensitive to sugar. The price was also exorbitantly high. All in all, a disappointing dinner. We got a pizza for my wife afterwards because the side dishes were not suitable for her.

We had a nice meal yesterday. Pleasant atmosphere. However, we were seated very close to other guests. The person next to us at another table was having trouble sitting. We could hear everything they said. We didn't find that very pleasant.

Look, just a glass of water is fine too. They don't make a fuss about that. Everything tastes really good with it, too, so it's a nice place to go out for dinner.

It was always very good, but unfortunately the quality has deteriorated significantly lately. This is specifically the case when picking up.

Had a particularly delicious meal. Fried salmon with cream sauce, tasty fries, and potato sauce. Spinach, rhubarb. Everything tasted incredibly good. Highly recommended!!

I have eaten there twice now (with a 2-year gap) and both times it wasn't good. Two years ago I had the tenderloin. It wasn't really tender. Recently I had the chicken satay. It was very dry, and so was the peanut sauce. It looked like it had been kept warm in the oven for hours. The cauliflower and potatoes were the same, lukewarm and not tasty. The rosé was lukewarm; with the second glass I asked for cold rosé, which I subsequently received. The red sauce was referred to as rhubarb and was sickly sweet and thin. The spareribs were tasty but there were very few of them. The fries were good. All in all, not a success, a waste of money. I will never eat there again.

Tasty food, fast service, and a nice atmosphere. Advice: if you can't stand the screaming parrot Jacob, bring earplugs. 🙂

Had delicious apple pie with coffee

Just ate there with a family of 6 with older children. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. My son and husband had the charcuterie board, on which the steaks tasted very strange; we mentioned this, she took it away, but came back saying that according to the chef there was nothing wrong with it... so who is right, 2 guests or the chef? 😊 My salmon was very dry; I mentioned this too, but since I had eaten three-quarters of it anyway, I said I didn't want another one, but I did want to mention it. I didn't finish it. The green beans as a side dish looked like they had been reheated countless times and they tasted like it too, very disgusting, really unacceptable. The spareribs and tenderloin ordered by others, and the fries and potatoes (double portion was a lot though, I would have preferred salad or other vegetables) were fine though. In itself, it can happen once that something goes wrong. For me (us), it is important how it is resolved or if some form of compensation is given, at the very least a sincere apology, because eating out with six people is certainly not cheap and something we don't do often. This was therefore a major disappointment and somewhat set the tone for the evening; a shame as a celebration of the children ending the school year on a positive note. That also means no tip, and we really won't be coming back, which is a real pity.

We regularly visit the takeaway here, coming inside for lunch and dinner. Recently, our son got an ice cream from the takeaway and we wanted to go inside for lunch ordering from the regular menu, but we aren't even allowed to. It's bizarre and poor service that this isn't possible; surely it's the same business? Now we are having lunch at the bakery, where our son is allowed to simply walk in with the ice cream from the Dorpskamer.

We had a lovely time sitting on the terrace, but we'd also been inside earlier. Both lunch and dinner here are top-notch, and the staff is friendly too :).

My wife and I popped in here for a cup of coffee and a treat. The apple pie was excellent, but we didn't like the coffee. Even the free cup at the optician's we'd just left was better. It was also way too expensive for what it offered. I don't really like writing bad reviews, but I hope this will give me the insight to do something about the quality and price. I'd definitely come back if I did.

Lunch is decent. Plates are full, but not particularly tasty. Value for money, but I've had better elsewhere. I'll definitely look elsewhere next time.

Ordered mashed potatoes online. 1. It was half an hour late. The food was cold. 2. Three hairs in the mashed potatoes, absolutely disgusting. We will never order them again.

Beautiful place, cozy atmosphere, excellent service. But the lunch is incredibly expensive/overpriced. It's been better.🫰 That's what keeps us from coming back.

The food itself was fine. Plenty of options too. I found the birds in the hall (parrot and cockatoo) very strange. For me, that's a reason to never go back. Who would think of putting such animals in such an environment, like stuffing? I find it quite disrespectful and pathetic. Birds don't belong in such places.

Very delicious food, especially their grilled chickens! The service at the actual restaurant is very friendly and welcoming. However, when it comes to ordering I have not been so pleased the past couple of times .If I order for my food to be delivered at 19:00 they are already at my door 15 minutes before. What if I wasn't home yet and there was a reason why I specifically chose 19:00. Also, on their website they it states that they close at 20:00, however if you try and order something 15 minutes before closing they have already close the kitchen. I don't think that is correct, then maybe place a notice that people shouldn't order then or update the closing times. If you ask the staff about it on the phone, you get a very rude reaction and sometimes they even just hang up on you.

A very nice restaurant with a comfortable seating area. The food is excellent, and the staff is very friendly and dogs are welcome. The owner is a very kind man. In a word, excellent.

The fish pan with salmon and whitefish was well-filled with a slightly spicy touch, combined with white rice. A delicious dish. The cordon bleu pork and side dishes: carrot, celery, broccoli, potatoes, and fries were also very tasty. The lava with strawberries, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream was a worthy dessert to finish off.... Friendly service.

The atmosphere is good. The waitstaff is great, but the chef needs to go back to school. The chicken soup is very salty. It was Cordon Bleu week, a menu for €25.95! You should expect more than a fried!! small Cordon Bleu with a small salad and a cone of fries. Such a shame!

I had a great meal here—large portions, great flavor, and above all, a cute parrot! The staff is also very nice; there's a friendly guy who enjoys chatting and joking. Definitely recommended!

After waiting 45 minutes for our salads, the salmon salad turned out to be far too salty, so we left most of it. When we paid, we commented that it was too salty and not tasty. The only response was that there was no salt in it, rather than a comment, which was a shame. We'd rather have a village room.

Right in the center of Leek, you'll find De Dorpskamer, a cozy spot with a lovely, spacious terrace. Upon entering, you'll be greeted by a truly unique welcome: a green-winged parrot and a grey-redstart. Two beautiful, imposing birds that immediately create a pleasant atmosphere (and spark conversation). The food is excellent: well-seasoned, beautifully presented, and very affordable. No frills, just good, cozy dining. Combine that with the central location and relaxed atmosphere, and you have a place you'll definitely want to return to. In short: if you're in Leek or driving nearby, definitely plan a stop here. You'll get good food, a lovely terrace, and a unique welcome from two winged hosts.

We didn't quite like it....my husband had a hot roll but it had more bacon bits than meat, therefore quite salty...I had 12 o'clock...cheese soup, the taste was fine but this too had a lot of bacon bits in it...(I think a cheese soup should be vegetarian) this too was quite salty...I also had a cheese croquette but I got a regular croquette, I reported this and got a cheese croquette anyway, but because of that the uitsmijter had gotten cold (I got the same one back too) all not as it should be.....too bad...🧐😐

We dropped by spontaneously on a Saturday evening, and luckily there was still room for us. It was also packed, which made it incredibly noisy. We had trouble hearing each other at the table. Prices were very high, with only one dish under €20.

Lives up to the name; a cozy village room. The chicken here is always delicious. Portions are nice and large, especially if you order takeaway. Delicious, in one word, and the service was super friendly. We will do that again!

A review is being requested, so let's move on. All the food was served lukewarm, as if it had been in transit from kitchen to table for too long. The taste was good, but it would have been better at the right temperature. The cafe concept does not work if you want a quiet meal, because the dining tables are surrounded by people who come for a nice drink. So it was much too noisy to just eat, the service also participated in this. I think this could be more separated. So the price/quality ratio is not right. So this is a one-off for us.

Although I did not have very good experiences with either lunch or dinner here (mediocre food), I am happy to come back because it is such a beautiful place. The interior is beautifully styled and I like the terrace. The snack bar side is great. We come every week for a delicious scoop of ice cream in the summer. The prices are very fair. Today (4:30 PM) I thought it was a shame that in addition to the employee who neatly helped me with an ice cream, an employee was eating next to her pontifical with a plate on top of the counter/countertop.

This is a perfect restaurant for various occasions. I went to meet with my colleague and the service, ambience and food was great, not to mention the location.

The price/quality ratio is excellent. The staff is friendly and you will be helped quickly. The spareribs we had came off the bone easily but were still a bit tough. They also didn't taste great. Vegetables, potatoes and fries were fine.

Voor het eerst hier gegeten. Was in 1 woord super. Ik ga hier zeer zeker vaker heen. Niet alleen voor het diner, maar binnenkort ook zeker een keer voor de lunch, of gewoon voor een cappucino met wat lekkers erbij. Super lekker eten, super vriendelijk personeel, en dat alles in een prachtig mooi en net restaurant. Dit restaurant is zeer zeker aan te bevelen.

What was supposed to be a nice birthday outing really turned out to be a downer. Indicated in advance that it had to be cow's milk free and also during the order. But no cow's milk-free food was available. Tried to kindly indicate this, but it was too much effort to adjust this…. The service was very unfriendly and blamed everything on us. Very friendly restaurant, nice atmosphere and very good food. Fresh starters, good quality main courses with unlimited side dishes. Deserts nice portions, not too stingy with ice cream, whipped cream and chocolate. Highly recommended for family or friends evenings. Sitting down just to have a drink is no problem. When visiting, it was indicated that the chocolate could be separate for the Dame Blanche. Some time later I went again and concluded that they had listened: the chocolate had been placed separately next to it. In short, highly recommended!
