Always a nice place and good food.

We had another incredibly delicious High Tea for my eldest daughter's birthday (8 people). Although they didn't really know yet how to accommodate a pregnancy diet, it was coincidentally arranged perfectly the very next day. It is absolutely fantastic that they were so responsive to what is possible and allowed with a specific diet.

We had a lovely lunch at the new found "De Eend" restaurant, be surrounded not only by many duck arts in various forms and shapes, one has a wonderful view over the lake. One can either sit inside or on the terrace. Service staff are friendly and professional. They serve a mix of Dutch & International dishes. Free parking on site.

Nice location in Loosdrecht with a cozy atmosphere, and the food is delicious too.

Unfortunately, there are not a single disabled parking space in the wider area; perhaps create them on your own property?

Nice spot with a terrace by the lake, although there are many boats in front of the terrace that somewhat obstruct the view. The service is very attentive and well-instructed. The dishes are tasty, not complicated, and not very surprising.

Cozy. Super friendly and efficient service. Attention to the guests. The food was delicious. Don't expect large portions, so there was still plenty of room for dessert. It could have used more vegetables, though. The view from the conservatory was a nice bonus. If we are in the area (on the motorbike), we will come back.

Beautiful spot by the lake for lunch, friendly staff, nice salads

A really beautiful spot by the water. Even inside, you feel like you're outdoors because of all those beautiful poppies. It is quite a job for the staff to close up again every evening, though. They wait until you've finished drinking before closing; very service-oriented!

If you go without a reservation, you'll have to wait a bit. A bucket of mussels contains about 1 kilo of incredibly delicious mussels. You absolutely must try the duck as a main course.

We had a coffee break during our walk last Sunday. It was okay, but very busy. The staff are not all equally friendly.

Nice location and friendly staff. The stewed eel did not come off the bone nicely and the sauce was too much/overpowering. The tuna steak was (much) too salty. The fries were delicious, and the spareribs too.

Had a lovely meal with 4 people on the terrace overlooking the water and boats; service was prompt and attentive, and the food was great and tasty.

We were at this restaurant yesterday and unfortunately, the service was very poor. We first ordered drinks and bread with dips. Even before we received our drinks, the waitress asked what we wanted to order for the main course. We said that we wanted to wait for the drinks first and then choose. She then walked away visibly irritated. Unfortunately, the drinks were also very bad. My espresso martini did not taste good at all. The waitress also told us that we had to wait longer because one of the bartenders had dropped my drink. We did not consider that a professional remark. Due to the waitress's attitude and the bad drinks, we did not feel welcome. Therefore, we decided not to order a main course.

The food is fine, but the staff was incredibly sweet and the service was truly amazing! You can park for free, although you do have to look for a spot. The prices for food and drinks are very reasonable. What made it even nicer is that the other guests didn't talk too loudly, which created a very pleasant atmosphere.

We eat at De Eend regularly and everything is always perfect. The welcome, the atmosphere, and the food. The staff is always friendly, regardless of the time you arrive, regardless of the incredibly hot weather of late. They remain friendly and welcoming. A big thumbs up to everyone, the serving staff as well as, of course, the chefs in a very hot kitchen.

The ambience here was excellent, and the food itself tasted good. However, the value for money was quite disappointing. We went out with a group of friend, 8 people in total. Seven of us ordered dishes that were explicitly supposed to come with fries. Instead of getting seven individual portions, the staff only brought out two bowls of fries to share. To make matters worse, we were actually charged extra for two large fries on the bill. The severely lacking quantities and the mix-up with the sides really put a damper on our afternoon.

Been there recently. Had a good meal and you can sit lovely by the water. Was also very disappointed that it wasn't open last Monday, even though the sign on the road indicated it was.

Just a good restaurant, nice location, it was busy hence 3 stars for the service, it took a bit long, but the staff was nice.

De Eend has looked the same for years, maybe a tad dated, but that fits! Don't change it, this is part of the nice atmosphere. Service is always friendly and the food is very good.

We had a delicious meal with a large group; the service was prompt, there was a wide selection of dishes, a beautiful location, and good parking. The welcome was friendly and pleasant. A few minor mistakes in the orders didn't spoil the fun.

Very knowledgeable about coeliac disease, very welcoming staff said most dishes could be altered to be gluten free. Had gf bread with their delicious olive oil, followed by a carpaccio starter then an asparagus risotto which was one of the day’s specials. My partner had the duck with chips and mayonnaise, also delish. Location was lovely, on the water, would be nice to sit outside in good weather and watch the sun set. We loved De Eend!

⭐☆☆☆☆ According to Google, De Eend was open until 11 PM. We arrived at 10 PM and found it already closed. Either we misunderstood the opening hours, or De Eend closes when it feels like it. 🦆😄

We spontaneously decided to go there as a group of eight, plus two dogs. We hadn't made a reservation, but they still took us in. All the waiters were very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent! At first glance, it looked quite rustic, but everything was very clean and well-maintained. Highly recommended!

A lovely spot for a nice eatery/restaurant. View over the lake and the boats in the small harbor. The atmosphere is also very nice. Ducks everywhere, in the form of figurines, etc. Cozy decor with a beautiful rug on the floor. Furthermore, a nice menu at a friendly price. Very nice service and a fantastic terrace in the summer. Highly recommended, a place I love to return to regularly. And, dogs are also very welcome.

Had a great experience at The End! The staff were all very friendly, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. What really stood out to me is that they sell olive oil from their own tree in Italy—such a unique touch! The olive oil tasted pure and full of flavor. Highly recommend!

It's nice sitting by the water like this. It's a shame the weather wasn't nicer, otherwise we could have sat outside too.

I thought it was tasty but very expensive, and a staff member said to me, "Yes, go ahead and eat another dessert," when I ordered two desserts even though I didn't even have a main course.

The food is good. The staff is friendly. However, the owner's two dogs in the restaurant mean I wouldn't go back anytime soon.

We invited our uncle and aunt for lunch and enjoyed it for three hours with six people. Lovely, attentive service, delicious food. When they asked if they could do anything (for their 60th wedding anniversary) and suggested a chocolate message, they came up with this festive, creative surprise. They'll keep that. On the cruise ship, they didn't follow up on the suggestion...it was eventually made up for in Loosdrecht. It's so nice when you have something to celebrate and it's given attention. ❤️ We were so caught up catching up that we didn't take any pictures of the food. Recommended: coffee with a handmade chocolate truffle for dessert. A divine taste sensation to finish with!

Highly recommended for lunch. This restaurant has succeeded in delivering quality food at a very reasonable price: where else can you find well-filled (lunch) sandwiches for under €10? And those sandwiches are also generously topped with high-quality fillings? The conservatory is a lovely spot with a view over the lakes, but the restaurant is also cozy. Some chairs could use some reupholstery, but overall, that's a nitpick...

A lovely spot on a perpendicular harbor with a view over the lake. Excellent salads and satay, good wines, and friendly service. Recommended for nice weather, choose the terrace.

I was fortunate enough to celebrate my 70th birthday at Eetcafé de Eend. It was in the conservatory, a wonderful spot by the water. It was perfect for our group of over 30 people. First, we had drinks and delicious savory snacks. The staff was prompt, attentive, and friendly throughout the evening. Then came dinner—delicious! All three courses were excellent. My compliments to the chef(s). Everyone was also served their food simultaneously, which doesn't always happen everywhere. It certainly did at de Eend. In short, our appreciation goes out to the entire organization! It was a fantastic birthday. We will definitely be back to enjoy the friendly atmosphere of de Eend.

Had a drink on the terrace. The side terrace offers a view of a large warehouse across the water. Across the harbor.

The meat dishes were excellent, the side dishes mediocre. Inside, the distance between the large, fully occupied table was narrow, which unfortunately made it quite noisy. The view over the water makes up for it, though.

A lovely lunch on a lovely sunny terrace. I wasn't impressed with the service.

Once and never again. It was nice and quiet upon arrival, but the building was old and dirty. Not very welcoming. I ordered the super satay, but it turned out to be just one skewer. I would have had to pay €23.50 for this. When I told him I didn't think this was reasonable for that price, I was told to buy a T-bone steak, with a condescending smile from Robert Jan, the waitress. We also had to wait an incredibly long time for the rest of our food.

We've been living in Loosdrecht for over a year now, and De Eend is definitely one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always impeccable, as is the service. It's a beautiful waterfront location where you can enjoy the outdoor terrace on a lovely summer evening. We hope to continue enjoying all the delicacies for a long time to come!

Top-notch service despite a full restaurant! The food is highly recommended!

I didn't think it was very fresh how many dogs were walking around here, I am allergic and had not seen anywhere in advance that they have and allow dogs. They just walked around the restaurant and were smelling people's stuff. When it started to rain it also started to smell like wet dog. The food was delicious, I had a salad with duck breast and I really recommend it! The staff is super sweet and helpful. We did wait about 1.5 hours for dinner on Sunday. They were super busy, you could see that, but longer than an hour is quite intense.

Good atmosphere and excellent food

On some photos from Google we thought we saw a somewhat "simple" restaurant. However, this was not the case at all, the restaurant has a beautiful back terrace where you have a wonderful view over the lakes! Incredibly friendly and thoughtful service and in addition every dish was delicious! From a sandwich with homemade olive oil as a starter to the dessert, we enjoyed everything. And that for a very reasonable price. +1 for accessibility and interaction with the dogs on the terrace. We were unexpectedly wonderfully relieved for an evening. We will be back soon!
