We had a delicious Kompas platter. Luxurious appetizers with a glass of wine on the terrace overlooking a small harbor. Highly recommended!

They provided extremely bad service. After starters, it took them one reminder after 1 hour to serve the main course (total time 1.5 hours). Staff wasn’t courteous when mentioned. They also skipped our side dish order in all the chaos. The food itself was also average testing. Only the ambience outside was nice on a sunny evening.

This will not be the standard review. This is about the surprise that a hidden gem in the dreary winter season that is not visited more often. Of course, as soon as the sun shines the tent is full, then the whole of Loosdrecht is full. Do yourself a favor and visit it Also use a compass when it is bleak and cold.

Kompas Loosdrecht is highly recommended! The restaurant offers delicious food, friendly service and a beautiful terrace overlooking the Loosdrechtse Plassen. The atmospheric ambiance and the option to moor by boat complete the experience. Perfect for a relaxing lunch or dinner by the water!

Had lunch today on the sun-drenched terrace of this wonderful restaurant, without a reservation. Friendly and attentive staff, good service and, above all, delicious food, from the broom bread with curry pesto mayonnaise to the ceviche and steak tartare. Everything was clearly freshly prepared and well-seasoned. White beer (Trappist) was also delicious and ice cold. A bit pricey perhaps, but nothing over the top and at least you pay for something, unlike many overrated Amsterdam places. Recommended.

When looking for a place to eat, we did not choose this restaurant. Made this choice because there was only one(!) vegetarian main course. How?! Several meat dishes or fish dishes. But a vegetarian only gets one choice. And that choice is a cauliflower fritter. Worth 24.50. a very expensive piece of vegetable!

What a wonderful place to dine. We were warmly welcomed and given a cozy spot. The staff knew exactly who we were even though we had not yet given our name. The staff works super fast and diligently, very attentive and friendly. We had a great time and the dishes were tasty and sufficiently culinary to be considered refined. What we loved was that the restaurant was full of people but that the sound was still pleasant, good acoustics with nice music playing through it. Beautiful decoration, aesthetic, soft lighting and perfect temperature! We were still talking about how nice this seemed to us. And then… around 10:30 PM, while we were still enjoying good wine, the staff at the back suddenly started moving tables and plants and rearranging the room. Now that's not so bad given the time and we also understand that things have to be done, but what an annoying noise from dragging tables and chairs🫣 A great shame because it was in great contrast to earlier in the evening. We left quickly so that our beautiful evening wasn't completely shattered. This place has not been written off immediately, because I expect that they will not have to move chairs, tables and plants every evening, but I would like to let you know how this came across to us.

With Nenselientje, Erik-Jan and Diva Saar we were able to get the very last table after Erik-Jan managed to land his recently acquired vessel with refreshing helmsmanship. Overly friendly servers, a very extensive wine list that has been carefully thought through (recommended: Chardonnay), a variety of dishes before, between, main and after and... a huge range of chocolates where every chocolate has its own story. Also dishes off the menu (Nens suggested duck). Seriously take into account intolerances, including gluten and lactose. The chef made a gluten-free and lactose-free dessert especially for me (also off the menu). Oh well, it costs a euro more here, but is it allowed please? All details are correct! Only parking is a bit more difficult (you'll have to come by boat!). Stuffed and satisfied we went back to le bâteau.

Great alternative to Slangevegt, but a completely different atmosphere. Slangevegt is leafy. Kompas is modern and sleek, but tasteful. Lovely terrace on a small harbour. Attentive and friendly service. For lunch we opted for steak tartare, fazoletti (a kind of open lasagna) and tuna. After a sgroppino and espresso. Everyone satisfied. Everything tastes good. We will definitely come back for dinner again

We just finished a nice evening. But when we got home we were pondering about the high price. Apparently they charged us double on couple of items. That was a real sour finish for the evening. So, double check your bill, mistakes happen.

A Magical Soulful Sunday with The Crooners and Souldiva Ingrid Simons in Kompas Loosdrecht Dear friends and music lovers, What an unforgettable Sunday afternoon it was yesterday in the heart of Loosdrecht! Het Kompas, known for its culinary delights and extensive wine list, was the setting for the very first edition of Soulful Sunday, and what an enchanting start it was. Upon arrival we were given a festive welcome around 12 noon, with red carpets and a Christmas ambiance that set the perfect atmosphere for an afternoon full of musical enjoyment. Guests were spoiled with oysters and other delicacies, followed by the first set of The Crooners and the enchanting Souldiva Ingrid Simons. We opened the show with the iconic "Come Fly With Me", and from that moment on the magic was palpable. Joy radiated from the faces of our audience, and the romantic sounds of The Crooners, including songs from the American Songbook, filled the air. Ingrid Simons brought a phenomenal dimension to the performance with her beautiful renditions of Aretha Franklin. The compliments flowed not only for the music, but also for the culinary masterpiece on the plates and the extensive choice on the wine list. As the day progressed, the festive mood rose to great heights. The entire room was turned upside down, guests were dancing and celebrating at every table. Our performance lasted until 5:45 PM, and the atmosphere was complete. With satisfaction we retreated to the changing room, where we enjoyed the afternoon with delicious wine and antipasti from the top restaurant. A special thanks to the wonderful staff who made the evening possible and for the care given to the performers. The next edition of Soulful Sunday is scheduled for March 10, 2023, and we can't wait to put on another spectacle. Loosdrecht is hot, hot, hot, and it all happens in Kompas Loosdrecht. So put this date in your calendar, because you don't want to miss this!

Had dinner at Kompas last night with good friends. They are a little more 'culinary literate' than us and it was our turn to choose a restaurant. That is always a bit exciting. It turned out that we had made a great choice. The welcome was immediately warm and it remained that way throughout the evening. Informal in a very pleasant way. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very nice and the food was great. In short, in our opinion, highly recommended. Thank you to the Kompas team for the successful evening!

Alvorens een rondje met de sloep te gaan varen hebben we weer heerlijk gegeten. Mijn meisje een zomersalade met gamba’s (voorgerecht) als hoofdgerecht geserveerd en ik een overheerlijke op de huid gebakken dorade file, aangevuld met een heerlijk glas rosé en wat water. Complimenten en een diepe buiging voor de keuken, het was weer super. De locatie, de crew en de keuken, alles klopt 🥳

Het was een beetje een teleurstellende ervaring. Ik had doradefilet maar dat was een heel klein dun stukje. Als gerecht niet genoeg om je maag te vullen. Mijn vriendin is zwanger en had doorbakken vlees besteld maar kreeg het rood en kreeg ook met saus wat ze niet had besteld. Bediening was vriendelijk maar rommelig, moesten lang wachten op drankjes en het een paar keer vragen. Nagerecht was lekker.

We hebben, op het terras aan het water, heerlijk gegeten bij dit sfeervolle en ook mooie restaurant. Het personeel was uiterst vriendelijk en professioneel. Gerechten werden mooi opgemaakt en waren erg goed van smaak.

Mooie locatie en terras. De eigen sloep huren met hapje en drankje is echt een aanrader.

Ik had een reservering gemaakt voor de verjaardag van mijn vriend en telefonisch aangegeven dat hij jarig was, en ik had gevraagd om een leuk tafeltje bij het water. Het antwoord was dat ze hun best zouden doen, maar niets konden garanderen, enfin. Ook had ik gevraagd of ze bij het dessert iets speciaals konden doen en er werd beloofd dat ze het bord zouden versieren. Bij aankomst kregen we echter een tafel toegewezen achter een plantenbak of een hoge tafel achter op het terras. Daarnaast leek alsof de dame die ons gedurende de avond bediende het niet erg naar haar zin had. (in tegenstelling tot degene die de borden bracht en weghaalde, zij was erg vrolijk!) Mijn vriend had gekozen voor het chefs-menu met bijpassende wijnen. Er werd geen uitleg gegeven over de geserveerde wijnen en ze werden ook nog eens karig ingeschonken. Toen het dessert werd geserveerd, was er ook niets bijzonders met het bord voor mijn vriend gedaan, ondanks de belofte. Het eten was heerlijk, maar jammer genoeg werd de ervaring negatief beïnvloed door de matige service.

Vandaag geluncht bij Het Kompas in Oud-Loosdrecht. Prachtige ambiance. Hele vriendelijke ontvangst. Heel erg goed eten en genoten van alle mooie door de koks gemaakte lunchgerechten. Dit was heel verrassend en van hoge kwaliteit. Het personeel nam de tijd voor een gesprekje en ook het wijnadvies was van grote klasse.

Tent wil graag topkwaliteit bieden, maar moet nog even de puntjes op de i zetten.

Enjoyed a visit to Kompas as apart of an afternoon/evening with colleagues. Great staff and good location, enjoyed a boat trip with drinks and tapas. Returning to the venue we had a 3-course dinner with great food (even taken into consideration people with certain food allergies), interesting food and flavour combinations. Recommended for a nice get together.

Heerlijk gegeten, uitstekende bediening. Gekozen voor het lunnchmenu met nog wat aanpassingen, alles was mogelijk, geen probleem. Uitstekende bijpassende wijnen. Alles op de kaart was lekker, dus ga zeker nog een keer terug!

Heerlijk restaurant op een prachtige locatie aan de Loosdrechtse plassen. Wij waren hier in de beginperiode van Covid en toen al enthousiast, maar de kwaliteit van het eten is nu nog een treetje hoger. De opmaak is zonder meer prachtig en er is een goede keuze uit diverse gerechten, waarbij ons de verse vis het meest beviel. Er wordt hier niet gekookt voor een ster, maar alles was van dusdanig niveau dat alleen een volledige 5 sterren review passend is.

Met 30 graden pal in de zon zitten, terwijl de rest van het restaurant leeg is, is zeer ongastvrij. Op vraag naar een parasol wordt afwijzend geantwoord. Kom ik hier nog een keer terug? Absoluut niet.

Lekker in de zon op het terras, attente en vriendelijke bediening, heerlijke oesters, heerlijke runderterrine, heerlijke kalfsentrecote met gestoofd lam, een heerlijk kaasplankje en prima wijntjes per glas erbij! Terwijl ik dit tik, vraag ik me af of ik morgen weer zal gaan….. 😃😋😋😋

Jaren geleden dat we hier geweest zijn maar de hernieuwde kennismaking was zeer positief. Prima eten, lekkere wijn en een zeer gezellig buitenterras. Blijft dus niet bij een eenmalig bezoek!
