Contrary to previous reviews: I actually found the "leftover" fries delicious and perfectly fine. It just goes to show that tastes differ.

Poor quality fries!! The top layer was okay, but underneath were fries that had already been fried at least four times. Waste of money.

Ordered online and it was ready at the agreed-upon time. I hadn't been there in a while and was a bit hesitant after reading the reviews. But it was delicious and good quality. The hamburger was very good. The bun was delicious. The fries were tasty, and the schnitzel was also great.

This place really sucks. Not that the teenage server girls are not friendly or incompetent. Those fries they serve it's totally below par. I paid 13 euro for a coke and a broodje frikadel and a big portions of fries... The fries.. so bad... Just measly parts with an incidental french fry. They better close shop!

We went to the Frietfabriek last weekend. We're regulars, but we've noticed a significant decline in quality and service. The fries are less tasty than before, with lots of small leftovers. Very poor. They also now have ordering kiosks to make it even less personal. If I want McDonald's, I'll go to McDonald's. It wasn't very busy, and yet they couldn't serve everything at once. First, the Gen Burger, then 10 minutes later the snacks, and then another 5 minutes later the fries with lots of dry and leftover bits. When we bring this up, we're told that unfortunately, that's the way it is. Well, that's one answer...

Medium fries plus sauce (from a tube) for €5. Even the small portion would have been enough for me. The fries were just average. Nothing exceptional. The sauces were really weak.

I happened to be in the area and was craving fries. The fries themselves were tasty and fresh, but unfortunately, the previous reviews were accurate: about half of them were leftovers/crumbs from previous batches. That's just not pleasant to eat. I also ordered a "war" (a Dutch dish), but it felt like it contained about 30% satay sauce and the rest was mayo. It's a real shame, because with a little more attention, this could have been much better.

Great snack bar that sells homemade fries. The service is friendly. Three stars for service because, while you can see what you can order, there are no prices listed anywhere. Not on the sign, but certainly not on the separate menus on the tables. I found that rather odd. And the atmosphere, well, what do you expect from a snack bar? It's a fine establishment, but you don't go there for the cozy and intimate atmosphere.

Clearly much improved, haven't visited in a long time, but really very clean, even the service is cleaner now, much more pleasant...

I gave them two tries but second one was even worst. The fries were burnt in the second try, and i felt cheated because one big pack only had small leftover fries in it. It was very small in size, because of broken last pieces of potato(see last picture). The first picture is from the first visit which also had burnt small pieces but good tast justified and i was happy enough to come by again. You have to maintain your quality, i had driven 40 kilometers for your fries. Guy at the counter was friendly, he heard my my suggestion seriously and offer his excuse and new pack for free, which I didn’t want as I didn’t want to be embarrassed, which would have given them the idea that I might be doing this trick to get a free pack. I had to leave hungry for that specific reason. Update: Got In touch with the owner, they took my feedback seriously which is good to hear.

Yesterday I ordered from their website for the first time and picked it up. The fries were delicious, fresh, crispy, and plenty of them! They used my favorite Oliehoorn mayo. The burger was made with quality meat and was large on a deluxe bun. The staff were very friendly and worked very quickly; I was impressed. I'll definitely be back. Marc Unfortunately, I went here today, July 25th, and the fries were very dry this time...but I'm keeping the 5 stars because everyone can have a bad day, and the burger and croquette were delicious again.

Among other things, I had ordered a portion of chicken nuggets (6 pieces). To my surprise, I saw how an employee dropped a chicken nugget on the floor and then put it in my container anyway, instead of throwing it away. Personally, I would not have had a problem with it if I had only received 5. But I find it really unacceptable to simply serve food that has fallen on the floor...

Always delicious! Usually I take the chicken nuggets, but when we saw a portion of satay passing by, we ordered it: divine! Next time choice stress … or both!

Tasty fries, expensive sauce The fries are great, well-fried and deliciously salty. Only that sauce... tastes great, but way too expensive for what you get. And also: way too much. Nobody wants half a liter of mayo on their fries. Just give them half a cup, and then halve the price. Saves waste and your wallet.

What happened here? Always had delicious fries, but now a mountain of tiny potato chips and the somewhat larger fries were limp and colorless. What a shame, because it was always a solid Ares, but that is now at stake.

On a Saturday evening we decide to go for the real French fries from De Frietfabriek. The reviews vary quite a bit: from burnt leftover fries to excellent fries. So let's try it. To start with, we end up among hordes of boys and girls with hockey sticks who all simultaneously tell their fathers what they wanted. That's what you get on a Saturday, but that doesn't spoil the fun. You order what you want via a screen and your number is soon called out. It might be different on a quiet weekday, but the French fries are excellent: not limp, but crispy and well-done. Also those semi-circular and pointed fries that come from the outside of the potato. Exactly what you expect from artisanal fries. In addition, we feast on those delicious Oma Bobs croquettes and it's a successful eating session. In short, accept the hockey youth and enjoy fries!

We drive from Almere to the Frietfabriek especially because of the delicious fries. Consistent quality, delicious satay sauce and very friendly staff. You are number 1 in my top 5 of chip shops!

Today I had a normal fries with satay sauce for 5.05 euros, of which the sauce was 1.35 (!) (coupon #102) The fries tasted fine but were mostly small hard pieces (cutting edges of small gnarled potatoes). It came in a sort of cone in a metal bag holder. That looks nice, but if 80% of the fries are small things, you will have to fiddle around halfway through if you don't have nimble fingers and it is better to turn the bag over on your tray to fish out the good fries. The sauce was tasty, but it came in a paper cup, which is too deep and narrow to dip the small chip chips in halfway without your fingers being covered in the sauce on all sides. There was a wooden fork, but it didn't work very well with those small hard pieces and that paper cone holder, and once you have impaled one it is a puzzle to get to the bottom of the narrow deep sauce container. Luckily there were enough napkins. I usually go for fries at the forest across this intersection, but it was closed on Monday so I tried this one. I'm not that impressed because it was pricey, mediocre and conceptually cold and a bit clumsy. At the competitor, satay sauce is still 1 euro (mayo 80ct) and I was ready for 4.40, and then you order it from a live person with a chat, and you just get the food on a plate with a dollop of sauce. I thought it was strange that there were two snack bars next to each other, but they clearly have a completely different approach. It does bother me that these screens theoretically save costs, but the price level is still significantly higher for a lesser experience. I give 1 star for Atmosphere and 2 for Service because those screens are a really chilly experience, but the food was brought out neatly. Food 2 stars because it tasted good but clumsy delivery and relatively pricey for scrap fries.

Wonderful place to eat fries and there are also delicious burgers. Ordering is quick (at the kiosk or at the counter) and you will receive your order fairly quickly. The prices are average and you get a lot of sauce. The fries are well fried and very crispy. Parking is available right in front of the business (blue zone or paid). I will definitely come back here one day.

Not even worth one star. You buy a pig in a poke. You place an order, pay for it properly, take it with you and when you get home you discover that it is not complete.. unfortunately not recommended

Iedere keer een grotere teleurstelling met als wederkerend dieptepunt de grote hoeveelheid aangebrande kleine restjes aardappel. Vandaag een gezinsportie met satésaus voor EUR 15,00. Zijn thuis met 4 en hebben nog maar een zak Aviko in de oven gegooid omdat 7 frietjes pp niet echt vulde…..Was de laatste keer!

A glorified snack bar that pretends to be a kind of McDonalds or Burger King. Modern decor, electronic kiosks where you order your food, just like a fast food restaurant. However, it remains a glorified snack bar with food of mediocre quality. A menu has no drinks in the menu, which you would expect in a fast food-like restaurant. And it is not indicated when ordering, only at the end do you realize that you have to pay separately for drinks. The price level is like in a fast food restaurant, not a snack bar where it is on average 20% cheaper. It's just not all that, and overall a negative experience.

Fries weren't great. There are no prices listed anywhere and it is always overpriced. Service is nice but I always feel like I'm being screwed over. I prefer to go to the other side, a family business with tasty fries and coffee and it feels like a real old-fashioned snack bar

On the website they had 12.50 for kipsate menu which i ordered. On arrival to collect my order, they charged me 14.50. When i questioned, the lady at the cashier was extrememly rude, and insulting. I asked to see the menu that shows the nee price, there was none. Kipsate was burned, the salad was doused in dressing, impossible to eat it. Horrible dinner and a total waste. I would not recommend. I used to like this place, but am never going back again

It is quite expensive, and a bowl of mayo for 85 cents is quite a lot. I was really looking forward to fries, but unfortunately I was a bit disappointed. They have one of the best fries and veggie hamburgers options in Amsterdam/Amstelveen. Non veggie options are also tasty. Everything is home made so far we aye couple of time here. And every time we stop by this city, we eat or order in.

De Frietfabriek was always a “nice” snack bar. You were kindly helped with your order and the fries were very good. Nowadays the fries are still very good, but they have become very impersonal, because you have to order via a screen a la McD.

We weren’t sure whether our food was going to be served to us without us showing some kind of ticket, but it worked out okay, which considering the meal itself was almost unlucky. First I tried the main course, the chicken satay. The chicken was juicy but unremarkably seasoned and the sauce wasn’t enough to pick it up without any atjar to chime in with the background vocals. The salad had some stale chalky avocado and what tasted like vegetable oil on it. Had to get on my Ocarina of Time vibe and spit out a few hard seeds before I got through this side dish. The fries were kind of alright, which isn’t going to cut it for a redeeming feature but if you’d insist on getting fries in this part of town I reckon you’ll be okay if you stick to the fried foods for a little snack.

Had to wait a long time for the ordered Lady Burger Menu. Never had such a bad, tough, overcooked, almost burnt hamburger. Food was ordered and taken on the spot. At home the order turned out not to be completely in order. Called the Frietfabriek and they immediately responded very politely and came up with a neat solution. That is often very different nowadays, so my compliments. A mistake can happen, but that's how you retain customers. The food itself was tasty. Fries were well cooked and the nuggets were really great. Salads also surprisingly fresh and good. Best fries! I really appreciate when they had to raise prices due to shortage of sunflower oil. But once it stabilized again they went down in price. Businesses should always run like this one. They actually care about their customers

Proper spot for some fries, have been coming here for years. The portions are quite big but the prices are definitely high (especially on ice cream products, better go somewhere else for those). For a while they had their menu without prices which I think is ridiculous, yes they fixed it now but I dont understand why they would have a menu without prices in the first place. Overall I do like this place and it's nice to get there once in a while, it's conveniently located right next to the Amsterdam forest.

I ate here with a friend, the fries were super greasy and lukewarm, so not tasty at all. The hamburger I ordered took half an hour to be ready and was not even cooked all the way through. The icing on the cake was that they didn't even add my drink that I ordered. In short, not recommended at all! 18 euros flushed down the toilet!

I had dinner here with a friend, we had a vegetable croquette, 2x fries and a burger. The fries were extremely greasy and hard. The burger only arrived after half an hour, and it was still raw on the inside, and not at all what we ordered. Pretty crazy for a burger that has had so long to cook. Being from Belgium I must say that the Fries here are not the best, fries were way too cooked in my opinion, dry from fat this is good but not sure I will come back… also no price visible anywhere so you got to guess or ask…

The fries and frikandels are fine. What is very disappointing is the menu WITHOUT prices. You must request the prices of the food verbally and hear it at the cash register. I wonder if this is according to the rules. Too bad, this irritation destroys the healthy appetite in one go.

Vrijdag met een vriend naar de Frietfabriek geweest. Twee frietjes stoofvlees. Om mee te nemen. op laatste moment besloten om toch meteen op te eten. Wat een deceptie! Allemaal doorgebakken zwarte restjes friet. Wat een lef om klanten dit mee te geven! Als we dit thuis hadden ontdekt hadden we waarschijnlijk niet meteen terug gegaan!

Heerlijk vers gemaakte friet en een gezellige bediening maakt een simpel frietje eten meer dan een feest. Echt een aanrader!

Picked up dinner on Sunday evening. Placed an order and when it was ready the hamburger was not there. Reported and hamburger was prepared and my bag with further fried!!!! food was placed above the fryer?? When the hamburger was ready, it was put in the bag and handed to me. I took out the fries and yes, they had now become cold. I called the girl, she looked at me and without letting me finish she turned and walked away. I was perplexed and left. When we got home, the only thing that was still warm was the hamburger. The rest could go in the trash. There have been better times, but for now I'll stay away for a while. The staff there seems to come from a kindergarten, and they are busier with each other than with the customers. scandalous

What is the past very good, but completely new policy? Looks like a younger club house, order incomplete, telephone order does not go through, unfriendly and completely uninterested staff, no greetings or help... prices have been raised like madness... this is a shame.
