De Gasterij in Wijk 01 Gorinchem binnenstad

Prima zaak. Heerlijk geluncht en het personeel heeft alles goed in de gaten. Ik had de hete kip op aanraden van het personeel en die stelde niet teleur! Topzaak met heerlijke gerechten!

Dit is echt het beste terras van het plein! Heerlijk eten echt perfect, hardwerkend en vriendelijk personeel snel en erg goed dit blijft echt mijn nummer 1!

This restaurant is a little wonder in the small city of Gorichem. Service top class, food with lot of options to meet all the taste bud. We had a wonderful lunch here with coffee. Food was really delicious.

In de binnenstad van Gorinchem tref je op een groot plein veel horeca aan en in de zomer vast een aantal terrassen. Hier geluncht. Ik had een salade krokante kip. Was prima. Meiden in de bediening ook attent en vriendelijk.

Kwam een hapje eten, bestelde club Caesar, kreeg gefrituurde (!) kip op onmogelijke dikke bruine boterhammen met een minimum aan sla. Walgelijk toen ik na één hap verklaarde dat het weggehaald kon worden vroeg men plichtmatig of alles naar wens was geweest. Mijn opmerking dat het afschuwelijk was werd afgedaan met: smaken verschillen. Geen aanbod voor ander eten en het volledige bedrag af moeten rekenen. Onbegrijpelijk!

Zojuist een bestelling geplaatst, super snel bezorgd en heerlijk. Alsof er een engeltje over je tong…. Super geregeld en een aanrader

Goat cheese salad suggestion: Instead of cold....warm goat cheese. Was now too compact, too firm. Not tasty. Apple pie too cold, seemed to come from the freezer.

Paar x geweest, op zich prima eten. Maar 9 euro voor een klein glaasje crème bulee?? Doe ff normaal. Niet besteld dus. 1 klein schaaltje gebakken aardappelen voor 3 personen, mag ook wel 2 worden. Wat men eens af moet leren, is dat gezeur aan tafel. Als ik drinken wil of er is iets niet goed aan het eten, roep ik ze zelf wel. Heel stotend, heel de tijd.

Sat here on a Monday afternoon during the autumn holidays, and it was pleasantly busy. We had not made a reservation but were still able to get a table for two on the covered terrace. Acoustic is slightly less there, but you can look outside nicely. I had the Redefine Pulled Beef, a vegan option from the menu (there is no distinction on the menu between vegetarian and vegan, so it is useful to ask). It's very nice that there is a choice! The bao was very tasty and quite filling. So in terms of price/quality, it is highly recommended. Also refreshing to be able to order a dish like this at a regular (non-vegan) restaurant. I would take this again!

The food was tasty, despite my steak not being quite medium. The service was also polite. Unfortunately, due to the small space it is quite noisy and sometimes difficult to understand each other.

Great! Really... the brioche with crayfish was already great, but the bao's with rendang were so sublime that I would like to eat this every day. Incredibly friendly service too. Love this place!

Wonderful place to have lunch, among other things. Good food for a fair price and something tasty for everyone on the menu. Love coming here!

The quality is no longer what it used to be, even smaller portions. A turn-off that the waitresses now ask: do you want your change back!! Spends 44 euros, pays with 50 euros. And then this question, while it is already so expensive, is far from neat!!

Ate outside on the terrace. Even though it was quite full, I was able to order quickly. Our lunch was delivered quite quickly after we ordered. Service is fast and friendly, the food is tasty and the price is reasonable. We will definitely come back here when we are in Gorinchem.

Being able to sit outside and enjoy the city center, if you can no longer book online before calling outside, it may be possible to arrange something. We ate everything and it was all delicious, the service was also good.

Extremely friendly staff, that's how hospitality should be. Very quickly helped on an extremely busy terrace. Price-quality ratio is really top. 3 people spend €45. Good price with top quality!

Bij de Gasterij was er 1 soort soep te bestellen nl. paprikasoep ad. € 8,50 per kom. hetgeen we deden. We kregen een kom waterige soep. Het was alsof je warm water at met een zéér lichte paprikasmaak. We hebben dit vrijwel gelijk gemeld maar daar werd niet inhoudelijk op gereageerd. Bij het afruimen van onze nog halfvolle kommen gaven wij weer aan hoe slecht hij was. Eveneens bij het afrekenen. Deze medewerkster verontschuldigde zich en gaf aan het aan de keuken door te geven. Eens maar nooit meer!

Had a good meal at a beautiful spot in the center of Gorinchem, satay was nice and spicy with special cut fries (served without mayonnaise?) And a compliment for the 'lataf' coffee, served at the right temperature and in the right glass. Smooth and friendly service. Men's toilet faucet is ready for replacement, it has seen its best days, due to faucet with 'sensor'

De Gasterij staat hoog in mijn favorieten. Lekker eten (ook voor vegetariërs), vriendelijke, snelle en attente bediening, mooi terras en serre. Ik kom hier graag met gezin, vrienden en zakelijk.

We had a nice lunch together after a city walk through Gorinchem.

Unfortunately, our day in Gorinchem was ruined by the staff of De Gasterij. We had a drink on the sunny terrace, but the clumsy waiter threw 2 full glasses of drinks over us. He was clearly inexperienced and didn't know how to solve it. Other staff were grinning on the terrace, but no one came to help. There was 1 nice lady inside who helped clean, and promised that we would be called by the manager and that they would pay the costs of cleaning the clothes. Unfortunately we never got a call back. Later, more trays were spread across the floor on the terrace. Clearly a lot of inexperienced staff, without any guidance or managers around. Afterwards we were able to pay for our (new) drink and people seemed surprised that they didn't get a tip. We will definitely never come back here again! There are plenty of other terraces on the square.

Nooit meer! We waren ‘s’middags speciaal binnengelopen om te reserveren voor een plaatsje in de zon op het terras, maar toen we aankwamen was er geen tafel. Uiteindelijk gingen mensen weg, dus we konden zitten aan een vieze tafel, die notabene niet eens schoongemaakt werd. Hier moesten we ook om vragen. Bij het neerzetten van de drankjes kon na ons ‘dankjewel’ geen alstublieft vanaf. Tot slot was het hoogtepunt dat het eten voor je neus gezet werd en wederom geen alstublieft, maar niet eens ‘eet smakelijk’! Veel te jong personeel liep er rond met totaal geen gastvrijheid. Eten was voor die prijs, 29,50 voor een superkleine tournedos, veel te weinig. Paar groentjes eronder en bakje friet. Nee, hier zou ik geen geld meer aan spenderen.

Gisteren zouden we gaan eten bij restaurant tax...bij aankomst stonden we voor een dichte deur.toen zonder reserveren restaurant de gasterij binnengelopen en kon er gelukkig een plaatsje vrij gemaakt worden. Restaurant tax was overgenomen nieuwe eigenaar. We hebben heerlijk gegeten bij de gasterij met zeer vriendelijk personeel echt een aanrader!

Booked online and on arrival we had a window table in the conservatory by the window. The food was very tasty, the service was customer friendly, but the tables were a bit close together. Nice place to have lunch!

Delicious lunch! It is recommended to book in advance. Luckily I still had a spot. But they had to disappoint many people to get a spot. The spareribs sandwich was one to die for!!

What an adventure! We went in there, we thought we were thirsty. And what shone? That was right! Quickly resolved by the pleasant bar lady. Nothing to complain about: give me the 5!!!

Had lunch with friends this afternoon, it was great.

During the city walk I felt like having coffee and this place looked cozy and warm. Friendly staff and good coffee. Toilets clean, but up quite a steep staircase. When leaving the ladies' toilet, note that there is a step (it is very easy to miss as this is not indicated... see the photo). The conservatory had a strong perfume that we found very overpowering.

Not normal place! We came to seat and drink coffee with sweets! From beginning us asking about what we will eat and propose tabel near exit!! Not good place! But in the same time was free tables in normal place without any card about reservation, but they say that all reserved!! Without comments!!

Good food, nice restaurant on a cute location in the city centre. Would recommend making a reservation, because they do not have a ton of space and it was quite busy.

Zoals altijd hebben we weer heerlijk gegeten in de gezellige, warme serre. Vlotte , leuke bediening en het eten(Tournedos) was weer super mals en smaakvol. Het blijft voor herhaling vatbaar.

Heerlijk gegeten en prima service.

Nachos van de buitencategorie, rijkgevuld en loeiheet. Niet dat karige geneuzel waarbij een halve zak droge tortillachips overblijft.

Heerlijk om weer eens in Gorinchem rond te kuieren en super lekker te lunchen in de Gasterij.

30 september hebben we een heerlijke fietstocht gemaakt in de omgeving van Gorinchem en hebben de dag afgesloten op het gezellige terras van De Gasterij. De volgende dag ontdekte ik in Assen dat ik mijn zonnebril miste. Opgebeld en ja hoor op het terras laten liggen. Binnen enkele dagen ontving ik per post mijn zonnebril keurig op gestuurd in een brillenkoker ( was niet van mij) Wat een service! Heel hartelijk bedankt. Marian van der Beek

Heel goed gegeten op deze dinsdagavond. Het feit dat het niet zo druk is op zo'n dag doet de kwaliteit ten goede denk ik. Verrukkelijk gegeten. Heel sfeervol ook. Vaak geluncht hier. Was overigens ook altijd goed. Wel reserveren van te voren. En dan lekker in de serre.

Keuken is om 9 uur dicht, bijzondere tijd. Kwart voor 9 hoef je ook niet te verwachten dat je nog voor- en hoofdgerecht kunt bestellen. Eten is verder wel goed.

Na heerlijk geluncht te hebben, werd ik op de valreep nog gestoken door een wesp, wat meteen tot paniek leidde, omdat ik er allergisch voor ben, maar dank zij jullie adequate en vriendelijke hulp met een gifzuiger en zalf en de medicatie, die ik bij mij had, is een vervelende reactie voorkomen! Hartelijk dank hiervoor!

Heerlijk gegeten vanmiddag. Onze broodjes waren zelfs zo lekker dat we nog een 3e broodje besteld hebben om te delen!!!

Gezellig restaurant met vriendelijke bediening. En het eten ziet er lekker uit. Ik hat Varkensentrecote chimichurri |met paddenstoelen (23,50) maar voor wat je kreeg vond ik het niet waard. Had het idee dat ik stukjes afgesneden karbonade kreeg waar erg veel vet aan zat. Mijn vrouw had de Ossenhaaspuntjes in portsaus, dat was smakelijker dan wat ik had. Vond het al met al een beetje teleurstellend (mijn menu dan)

Heerlijke lunch, goed personeel

gisteren gegeten voor we naar de zomerfeesten gingen. maar we voelden ons wel buiten gesloten aan de rand van het terras... moesten een half uur wachten voor alleen BURGERS. volgens mij waren ze ons gewoon vergeten. obers kwamen pas écht als je je hand opstak en we moesten echt oogcontact maken... beetje ongemakkelijk. wel prima gegeten ondanks de wachttijd en gezellig terras daar niet van! wachttijd wel een beetje jammer.

Wat een leuke locatie! Aanrader. Nu alleen wat gedronken, maar heb er ook weleens een lunch genoten. Was super.

Top restaurant. Enthousiaste bediening en heerlijk gegeten. Niet goedkoop maar het je krijgt wel waar voor je geld.

We hebben prima gegeten op het terras. Goed personeel, heerlijke kipsaté en angus burger.

Budu hodnotit pouze pivo, které jsem tu konzumoval. Tady pivu nerozumí a neumí ho čepovat. Heineken je tak ještě horší než normálně.

The best restaurant in Gorinchem with fair prices. You can find lots of vegetarian options here and the staff is great... just great! Whenever you want some extra sauce or something, they will provide you with a happy face! The food tastes heavenly and the plate design is in another level. The dinner prices are around 20-30EUR per person. And if you go there to eat some lunch, definitely try parmesan fries with truffle-mayo sauce. The taste was from another universe.

Het breekbrood ruikt lekker en is heerlijk, de service super en de ambiance geweldig. De gehele sfeer op het terras is is een decor van steeds wisselende tonelen, steeds nieuwe figuranten dringen tussen de hoofdrolspelers opvallende taferelen. Met als regisseur de perfect geoliede bediening. Een aanrader in de allermooiste waterlinie vestingstad van Nederland.
