Rarely have I had such delicious beef tenderloin, so we had a wonderful meal and the service was very pleasant.

What an amazing restaurant, amazing food, amazing service, and by that I mean, they know how it's done and I love that. Okay, a bit more expensive than average, but more than worth it.

We hosted a party for 50 people at De Heeren van Montfoort. It was a walking dinner. A nice concept; everyone can choose what they like. Everything was flexible beforehand; we had a free tasting. The owner and staff are very professional. The venue, food, service, and atmosphere were fantastic—a solid 10!! Drinks were offered continuously. The quality of the appetizers and courses was very good. Our guests were also all enthusiastic about the quality of the food and service.

We came on holiday as two Belgians and wanted to be surprised with the 4-course menu... And boy, did we succeed... Salmon mousse to start, an extra bread board with magical sauces, the prawns, thin sirloin with fine vegetables, and a delicious dessert. It was a fantastic evening. We were able to enjoy the wedding taking place right next door! Only that singer needed some improvement! 🤣. We will definitely be back! B & H.

Had dinner. Actually, not that much choice. But certainly okay. Prices on the high side. Not a large selection of salads. Portions are normal. Carpaccio with lots of truffle mayo. You're in the right place if you like a lot of fries with your meal. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Also observant enough to ask in good time if you want anything to drink. We didn't have dessert.

We sat at a beautiful, nicely set round table with very comfortable chairs and beautiful glassware, which made the atmosphere complete. The surprise menu was also a fun and delicious experience for the whole family. The prices might be on the somewhat higher side, but given the high quality, the atmosphere, and the excellent service, that is entirely understandable to us. Booked a table at the last minute. That wasn't necessary on the Wednesday evening in question: there was plenty of space throughout the evening. Service was good: fast, clear, and friendly. The food and wines were tasty. Definitely recommended for dinner in the center of Montfoort!

Everything perfect, except for the toast served with the smoked duck breast. It is a shame that this was not reflected upon, because the toast tasted very stale.

Beautiful location and we dined in the covered courtyard with surrounding walls and hardly any ventilation. It is a shame that smoking is allowed here, as smoke can barely escape and thus spoils the tasty dishes of other guests.

A beautiful, cozy place to sit with groups of various sizes. Both outside on the cozy terrace and inside. There is also the option to sit outside under cover.

We had the high lunch. The quality was fine and the quantity was sufficient. For dessert, we had the crème brûlée and the dame blanche, and finally coffee with chocolates. Great! Because of the beautiful weather, we sat in the garden. Well-maintained and with beautiful furniture. The decor in the restaurant itself looked beautiful, atmospheric, and cozy. A place where you immediately feel at home.

What was really annoying: We were seated next to the entrance to the toilets, and throughout the evening, increasingly unpleasant odors came from there.

Together with my partner and a friend of ours, we visited Rest. De Heeren van Montfoort. The food tasted great, as always. However, due to the busyness on that particular evening, we had to wait almost an hour for our main course, which was less enjoyable for us. Despite this, we will continue to visit Rest. The meal was fine; strangely enough, the chef's menu didn't include asparagus, so I had to ask for it. That wasn't a problem, but still strange considering they claim to work with seasonal products. Anyway, apart from that, the meal was great.

I won't give it away here, but there was fish, meat, and real attention was paid to the accompanying vegetables. The price-quality ratio was above average. It was our first time, but we will definitely be back.

We ate here tonight for our one-year wedding anniversary. We got married here a year ago, and the service was excellent even then. The staff made it a fantastic evening for us again tonight. What excellent service, and what incredibly attentive, kind people work here. Highly recommended!

Very neat location with good and fast staff

Staff here are being threatened and frightened by a very aggressive Dave (internship supervisor). He makes his students cry, causing them to run away. No one dares to say anything because they're afraid of him. It's simply unacceptable that this person (I'm speechless) still works here. I find it incredibly sad to say that he can hurt people so much and ruin their lives.

We had dinner with a large group on the first floor, so it is different from normal dining out, hence the 4 stars in terms of atmosphere. The food is delicious and good service.

The chef's 3-course surprise menu is tasty and the presentation is beautiful. I came here for the first time and had gotten the idea from the website that the restaurant was located in the castle, but there was a text that said the restaurant was in a different street, separate. Heeren van Montfort has a rather chic appearance, but there is no noticeable difference: no one serves the wardrobe, everyone can join; party in the room directly next to it was very audible; reserved a table for 2 days before, we could choose from a table for 2 separately directly at the door next to the party, but this was not recommended by the restaurant manager because directly next to the door of the party where staff often had to pass through, or a place at a slightly longer table where the other end was also prepared for possibly 2 other guests. This table was used by the waiters as a kind of work table, so suddenly a beer mat flew onto the table next to me, a bottle of wine was waiting for another table and so on - never experienced this before; tables are sometimes too close together (our neighbors - separated by only a plant) had oysters and I could smell them a little too easily; staff is very friendly, but not everyone has learned basic labels (2 of the 3 courses were neatly placed for one guest and the other guest had his plate placed across the table, the last course was served correctly), very nice that I I was allowed to taste several red wines (too sour for me) and then received a huge glass of red port that I ultimately requested (but extremely full, round and balanced). Upon departure, one guest was nicely helped with the coat, the other was not. I suspect that they had just too much to eat with the party and therefore some of the restaurant staff were somewhat untrained? We probably won't come again.

Had a successful evening. The meat is incredibly tender, and the Chateaubriand is especially recommended. Operation is smooth and we regularly check to see if anything is needed. The only tip is to turn the background down a bit. This makes it extra difficult for people who are hearing impaired to understand others at the table.

Ze restaurant is niet verkeerd. Wel overpriced. De prijs van een 4 gangen menu is 60 euro, wat daarvoor geleverd wordt is te karig, te weinig. De wijnen in het arrangement zijn niet passen. Te flets, en dan weer te uitgesproken, te kruidig. Hier is nog huiswerk te doen.

Ate with four adults. The welcome was warm. The restaurant looked nice. A lot went wrong during the operation. I mention, among other things: the bread ordered in advance never appeared on the table, the ordered water had to be asked twice and the first glass of wine of the wine arrangement came after the first course of the five-course arrangement had been finished. I really expect better from a restaurant where you have to pay a hundred euros plus per person. The portions were on the meager side. O.a. the main course consisted of three small pieces of meat with limited garnish; just very little. This was solved by ordering extra fries. The taste of the dishes was good. I was disappointed with the restaurant given the reviews; unfortunately.
