De Kazemat Feestlocatie & Bar in Wijk 00 Centrum

Went here for food and drinks with a group of friends on my recommendation. My experience last year was good, especially the food. So, after getting off the train, I headed straight here to make a reservation for the evening. I was told that wasn't necessary at all! After seeing Maastricht, we headed that way and ordered our beer and food. Unfortunately, after half an hour, we were suddenly told that we had just over half an hour to eat; the terrace was reserved?!?! This was, of course, a huge letdown! The food didn't arrive, and the clock ticked on. I really felt like, "Just a little longer and we're leaving!" I asked again where it was. "No, it's on its way!" And yes, 12 pieces of rendang were hard and dry! Did it all have to be fast, fast!? Another huge disappointment! The lady I had spoken to at the beginning about the time and quality. "30 minutes to go," the answer I got was "I'm just the messenger"! Unbelievable; as thanks, we got a 20% discount on the food only—what a flop! In the meantime, the terrace was being cleared, so nothing was reserved, but they just wanted to close?!!!!! Never again................

Just as Israeli colonists build settlements by burning vineyards, the Dutch occupy our city by placing cafes everywhere. Here they can have a nice "drink" and send each other tikkies for every "beer".
