The meat was raw, but the staff were nice. However, ultimately they couldn't resolve anything. I see in the reviews that this happens multiple times.

You should NOT come here for a 0.0 beer in Dry January. An alcohol-free beer here costs just as much as a half-liter of Paulaner. Too bad..

A very cozy place in a great neighborhood

We've been coming here for a long time, especially in the living room. We had delicious spareribs and sauerkraut, both excellent!

It's a real shame. We wanted to grab a quick bite to eat here with some colleagues because we had another appointment nearby, so we were in a bit of a hurry. After waiting over an hour, and when we asked if they knew approximately when the food would arrive, the staff told us, "Everyone has an appointment at 7:30." When we finally got our food after waiting an hour and a half, they had forgotten one of ours. It took another half hour, by which time everyone else had already finished eating, and the staff reacted incomprehensibly. The fries were also extremely salty. The cheese fondue itself was tasty, but the vegetables were rather meager: 3 mini tomatoes, 2 bell peppers, and 3 mushrooms. Disappointing, despite previous more positive experiences here.

We had dinner at De Kluizenaar and had a lovely evening. It's a cozy café with tasty, accessible dishes like spareribs, chicken satay, and cheese fondue. No frills, just good, tasty food. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service was friendly. Definitely a place you'll want to return to for a casual bite to eat.

Very friendly staff. I didn't have much time, and they were very helpful and prioritized my food in the kitchen. The vegan burger was delicious.

The food was delicious, but four people at a two-person table is a bit too much when you have a reservation. We also often had to try very hard to get the waiters' attention.

Relaxed eatery in the heart of the left-leaning, student-oriented Bottendaal district in Nijmegen! A lovely spot for a good conversation with a beer and a bite to eat; everything is very affordable in a relaxed atmosphere! And if it gets full, you can always head over to Café Maxim across the street!

I felt like a hermit there. It was probably too busy for the number of staff. I asked if I could sit somewhere, which was possible. Then I had to wait 10 minutes before someone came to the table. I was sitting in a prominent spot. I asked for a drink and the menu; the drinks arrived without issue, but the menu kept taking its time. Once I finally had the menu, I still had to wait. At another table, two men were still reading the menu and were allowed to order in advance. It wasn't until half an hour later that I was asked if I had ordered anything yet. The menu listed a vegetarian burger with beetroot and peas; I do like that. What I was served was a bland, unappetizing slice of soy. The salad and the sweet potato, however, were tasty. Towards the end, they were friendly; perhaps the workload was a bit lower. I ended up sitting at the table for 1.5 hours for the food and a drink, mainly because I had to wait.

Amazing ribs place in Nijmegen. This bar has a wide offer of different beers and also super nice food. The highlight is the ribs. They fall apart in your mouth and the sauce is just perfect. Also, they sometimes organise a pub quiz (in Dutch) that is a lot of fun!

Very nice tent in a cozy place in Bottendaal. There is a very wide range of specialty beers, about which the well-loved staff can advise you with enthusiasm. I am a big fan of the Botterick myself. This is a specialty beer that can only be served in this district. I couldn't resist tapping 3 of them in 1x, as was suggested to me. Furthermore, the food is very tasty and there are often great deals available. The atmosphere is always very good and from the window you have a good view of people passing by.

They have a liter of Paulaner and bitterballen for ten euros, which are also served by the best staff in the region. Delicious and it also turns out to be a great sleeping aid for when you get home. Cozy cafe! 🍻🍻

Gemoedelijk café met uitgebreide bierkaart, betaalbare hapjes en opvallend goed personeel. Blij dat ik deze plek in Nijmegen ontdekt heb en kom graag nog eens terug.

Altijd gezellig en lekkere biertjes, maar nu er voor het eerst gegeten. Viel erg tegen. Potje zuurvlees met maar een paar stukjes vlees erin. Weinig frietjes en een salade met enkel sla, kwart ei en kwart tomaatje. Geen dressing. Ook de spar ribs waren nauwelijks te eten, taai smakeloos vlees. Wel gemeld, goede reactie erop. Maar voor dat geld wil je wel fatsoenlijk eten.

In my opinion, these are the best loaded fries in town. Price wise too! The atmosphere of the place is also incredibly cozy and welcoming. It can get quite crowded depending on the time, so would recommend getting there a bit earlier for a good table!

Eten is zeer lekker ( zeker de RIBBETJES ) en gevarieerd en de bediening ook zeer goed

Gezellige plek, attent personeel. Heerlijk gegeten voor een fijne prijs en een hele mooie en uitgebreide bierkaart. Wij komen zeker terug.
