Delicious food. Friendly service. Very clean and dog-friendly too!

The high tea was disappointing. No scones, no lemon curd, no clotted cream. In my opinion, these delicacies should be a must at a high tea. The service was very rushed. They absolutely didn't take the time to calmly explain everything that was on the tiered stand. Plenty of room for improvement, then.

Mooie plek op het terras met uitzicht op de vijver van de Prinsentuin. We kwamen helemaal in de sfeer van Vestdijks boek ‘De koperen tuin ‘. De lunch was verrassend goed met originele gerechten, mooi opgemaakt ook.

A wonderful lunch spot! This beautiful building is nestled in the beautiful Prinsentuin garden, with incredibly friendly service and exquisite dishes at a reasonable price. We were pleasantly surprised by our North Sea salad, ribeye salad, and vegan duo. Our dog was also spoiled. Highly recommended!

I really like this restaurant for its atmosphere. It is especially nice to sit on the veranda - the view of the green park, lake and fountain creates a feeling of peace and beauty. This time we celebrated my daughter's birthday with her. We ordered Ribeye salad, Noordzee salad and Duo in de mix for two. The dishes were aesthetically decorated, especially Duo in de mix - its presentation on the shelf looked festive and appetizing. However, both salads turned out to be almost identical in appearance and taste - the only difference was the main ingredient: meat or seafood. The greens, sauce and presentation were the same. When we took the photo, we slightly changed the decoration so that the salads did not look the same in the pictures. This is a trifle, but for a special occasion you want individuality in each dish. Another point - the portions were very generous. Both salads and duo turned out to be larger than we expected. It would have been nice if the waiter had warned us about this in advance, because then we could have made a different order. Overall, as always, the atmosphere is great and the food is of high quality. But there are some nuances that I would like to see more thought out.

Went here with the family for Easter. It was a walking buffet and it was very disappointing. The food served was substandard: 1) in terms of bread, only slices, nothing toasted and no baguette either 2) The scrambled eggs were quite cold and dry (as if they had been there for a long time) 3) Little choice, and although popular items such as salmon and bitterballen were replenished, they were often gone. 4) Coffee also nothing special, pour it yourself, small cups, milk in plastic tubs 5) Watery mustard soup I work in a school canteen myself and I have to say that the quality was perhaps better there Furthermore, the food itself was placed near a narrow passage, so you always had to wait and be careful not to bump into anyone. Alcoholic drinks such as beer are also not included in the all-you-can-eat price, which is understandable. However, if you gave me 2 or 3 free beers, I would have found the price of 35 euros per person still too expensive for the service. Perhaps this place is a great place as a restaurant with a menu, but if you are planning to eat here for Easter or in the context of a buffet, I strongly advise against it.

Hier naartoe gegaan met de familie voor Pasen. Het was een lopend buffet en het viel zeer tegen. Het eten dat geserveerd werd was ondermaats: 1) qua brood alleen plakjes, niks getoast en ook geen stokbrood 2) De roerei was vrij koud en droog (alsof het er al een lange tijd lag) 3) Weinig keus, en hoewel populaire dingen als zalm en bitterballen werden aangevuld was deze vaak op. 4) Koffie ook niks speciaals aan, zelf inschenken, kleine kopjes, melk in plastic kuipjes 5) Waterige mosterdsoep Zelf werk ik in een schoolkantine en ik moet zeggen dat de kwaliteit daar misschien wel beter was Verder was het eten zelf bij een smalle doorgang gezet waardoor je steeds moest wachten en uitkijken dat je niet tegen iemand op botste. Ook zijn alcoholische dranken als bier niet inbegrepen in de all-you-can-eat prijs wat op zich wel te begrijpen is. Echter, als je me 2 of 3 gratis pilsjes erbij gaf, had ik de prijs van 35 euro per persoon alsnog veelste duur gevonden voor de service. Wellicht dat deze plek als restaurant met menu-kaart een prima plek is, maar als u van plan bent hier te eten voor Pasen of in de context van een lopend buffet raad ik het ten sterkste af

Heerlijk plekje in het park van lwd. Hier wezen lunchen op een vrijdag. Super mooi plekje en wat een leuke dame in de biedingen. Spreek geen top Nederland maar dat hoeft niet. Echt topper. Lekker gegeten en de kokos soep was geweldig. Kom hier zeker terug.

Samen met mijn vriendinnen een High Tea gehad. De hapjes waren erg lekker en er was ruime keuze van thee. Voor 1 vriendin waren glutenvrije hapjes noodzakelijk. Hier is goed rekening mee gehouden, al was de keuze voor hapjes minder groot voor haar. Verder is het een mooie omgeving gelegen in de Prinsentuin en een prettige locatie om te vertoeven. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Kortom voor herhaling vatbaar.

We gingen met z'n vieren dineren bij de Koperen Tuin met Social Deal. Wat een fantastische ervaring. Zeer vriendelijke bediening en fantastisch gegeten. Lekkere voorgerechten, heerlijk hoofdgerecht en ook het toetje was 100 punten. De locatie is natuurlijk erg mooi en de aankleding van het restaurant eveneens. Wij komen graag nog een keer terug.

Quite a disappointing high tea; very scanty. So a skewed price/quantity. There were always 2 of the small snacks. 6 of the samosas in total. In the photo the snacks looked promising and enough on the etagère, but in real life they were almost half as much. Very lukewarm, almost cold, tea water. We were told that we could find a wider choice of tea further down in the restaurant. On the table there were 3 spice jars and a glass containing some tea bags. Our expectation was that slightly more would be offered for the high price of €20.50 pp. A new pot of hot water was quickly offered at our request. It was also cold in the conservatory, which is actually a shame, because it was very bleak and cold outside that afternoon. Also 2 chairs at our table that had clearly not been dusted since there were crumbs and some hair wires visible. My friend and I were looking forward to a comfortable warm room and a successful high tea. Unfortunately for now quite a disappointing experience.

Staff is very helpful and customer friendly! We came with a very large group for a drinks package. Despite the fact that we changed the number of people several times, the Copper Garden was very flexible and willing to help. Everything was well coordinated in advance. Definitely come again and the restayrant is definitely recommended!

Don't come here if you're in a wheelchair. The disabled toilet is locked and does not open automatically when there are wheelchair users, it is used as a mess room for employees and the sink appears not to work.

Had dinner on a Sunday evening to celebrate my son's birthday. I looked at the (small) menu in advance and it seemed promising. That expectation was more than fulfilled; a surprising starter (actually an intermediate course, but that was effortlessly shifted) scallop with shrimps and Italian ham as an extra seasoning, finished with a sauce with fish eggs, followed by a well-fried guinea fowl suprême, other table companions had very tasty (vegetarian) gnocchi, beautifully fried Beef tenderloin and excellent duck breast. The dessert was equally delicious and beautifully prepared. In short, more than excellent!

Wij hebben het 4-gangen diner van de chef genomen en het was echt heerlijk! Bediening was ook heel vriendelijk, gezellige sfeer, echt een parel!

In De Koperen Tuin hebben met gezin, familie en vrienden gevierd dat we 50 jaar getrouwd waren. Muziek erbij verzorgd door Geert Jan Brader, de sfeervolle locatie, de supervriendelijke en attente bediening en het heerlijke eten, goed verzorgd, hebben eraan bijgedragen dat we kunnen terugkijken op een onvergetelijk feest. Wij hebben genoten.

Ordered two cokes today during the Frysk street festival. 10 euro. 3.50 per plastic cup and 3 euros for a deposit. After returning the two cups, receive a printed receipt with QR code to refund the deposit to your bank account number. Not 3 euros but only 2 euros. 0.50 cents per cup for cleaning costs. Payment in cash is not possible. I can now say what I think about it, but I think it is clear what I think about it.

Had dinner here with a large group, even larger than we anticipated before. Nonetheless, the restaurant staff did an excellent job in solving the problems and providing us with lovely food. We strongly recommend the restaurant to others!
