De Oude Bakkerij in Wijk 00 Urk

Had a delicious salmon sandwich; the bread was delicious and generously topped. Highly recommended.

We had a volunteer outing today from the Flevoland Archives on Urk. We started with lunch at the Oude Bakkerij. It was well catered for.

On Saturday afternoon, August 22nd, I sat down at a table with my children. The children (4 and 6) made their choice quite quickly. It was going to be a pancake with syrup and powdered sugar. After well over half an hour (and two bathroom breaks), no one had come to our table yet. I even asked a waitress in passing if we were supposed to order at the bar, but she said, "No, someone will be coming to your table shortly." The place wasn't busy, but the staff were busy with each other and their phones. We walked right out of the place.

Great location. Delicious food is served here. Very friendly staff. We will most definitely come back here.

Had an incredibly delicious lunch at De Oude Bakkerij. You can have lunch and dinner here. There is an extensive menu for both formats, which can be found on their Instagram. It is advisable to make a reservation during peak times, but generally, there is always space inside or outside. The food was fantastic and tasty, especially the daily changing soups. Portion size was perfect. Despite the crowds, the food arrived quickly, and someone regularly comes to the table to check if everything is to our liking. Clearing the table took a little longer. There is a cozy atmosphere both inside and out. Highly recommended for a tasty lunch!

Good food, good service, great location…

We were there Saturday morning around 9 o'clock. It was quiet in the place. We had breakfast and it was fine. The staff was reserved, but that might also be due to the time of day 😉 Nice place.

We spontaneously decided to have breakfast there. The service was very friendly. The breakfast platter for two was delicious and very reasonably priced. The café is easily accessible on foot from the beach promenade. Highly recommended.

We had some lovely drinks and then ate something delicious as well. It just took a bit long. But the ladies who served us couldn't do anything about that. A phenomenon of staff shortages that every company is dealing with at the moment. But we were satisfied.

I ate out with my sweet sister for the first time; I thought we were going out for a nice meal at a restaurant. Then we went inside. The atmosphere was good until the food arrived. I got a bowl of fries for 17 euros that had too much salt on them... my sweet, innocent sister got pasta with a hair on it. We returned it, but unfortunately, it didn't stop there. There was another hair on the next pasta, and there was also a blonde hair in my overly salty fries. I asked if everything was okay with the hygiene in the kitchen and then saw someone with loose hair. It was unbearable; I was basically eating hair!!!

They have great coffee and delicious pastries. After ordering two lattes and one brownie, and after we had finished those, we wanted to take two pastries with us, but this was not allowed. That was quite a big disappointment. If you are only there to get pastries, I can understand that, but if you are sitting there, ordering something, and then want to take two pastries with you, I don't think that is very smart of them.

A lovely little café with delicious cakes reminiscent of French gateaux. We had a cheesecake tart and a hazelnut tart with a chocolate coating. We also saw other guests enjoying beautifully presented and obviously tasty dishes.

I had a delicious salmon sandwich here. I forgot to take a picture, so I took a picture of my empty plate 🤣 Highly recommended. I absolutely love salmon, but this is the best and tastiest sandwich I've had anywhere so far! My daughter's cake is, in my opinion, SUPER FANTASTIC 😍 A beautiful place with a great atmosphere and lovely decor. I'll definitely be back!

What a lovely place, with a cozy atmosphere. We were on our way home from Friesland, Brabant, and passed through Urk. We stopped here to stretch our legs and let the dog walk. We walked past this lovely place and stopped for a cup of coffee. Delicious coffee and a piece of cake; the cake reminded us of the Roman cake we always used to get from Grandma Meg on Sinterklaas. Delicious! It looks super cozy and beautifully presented. Do it!

I asked on the street in Urk where I could get a good lunch. Well, this is the place. It was lovely, cozy inside. The food was delicious!

Savoury and sweet foods . Excellent all round..food tasted excellent and service was fantastic. So friendly even though we don’t speak Dutch ! The waitress had good knowledge of English and was extremely helpful. Would highly recommend to others .

The starter was good, the tenderloin was tough, the toilets were dirty and there were no wipes, the floor was filthy, and the table legs were dirty and dusty. The service was friendly but clearly not well-trained. All in all, it was disappointing.

A fantastic place to stop for a piece of cake, coffee or sandwiches. Very nicely prepared and incredibly tasty. The waitress only spoke Dutch, but luckily with hand, foot and Google Translate this isn't a problem :) Great recommendation!

Wij gaan vaker lunchen bij de oude bakkerij en dan is de prijs kwaliteit verhouding super. Nu eens ervoor gekozen te dineren, super kwaliteit maar wel erg dure rekening. Heel verschil met de lunch waar dit wel mooi in verhouding is. Zou eerder voor het diner een ander restaurant kiezen op Urk volgende keer. Verder wel lekker gegeten!

A nice cozy place in the middle of the old village center of Urk. A nice place for breakfast, lunch or just a cup of coffee. We had lunch there and the food was delicious. Highly recommended if you visit Urk.

Today we stopped at De Oude Bakkerij and enjoyed a delicious lunch with 7 people. Luckily we had booked in advance because we didn't want to be disappointed after a drive from Rotterdam. Everything was neatly organized and even though we arrived half an hour earlier than planned, this was no problem. The cappuccino was GREAT! We also had the pancake, pita Mexican minced meat, wrap with egg, bread with croquettes and everything was equally tasty. The ladies at the counter are all equally friendly. After lunch I couldn't resist the temptation of the bakery and brought along delicious pastries. My compliments!! It's a shame that it's not just next door for us. On the other hand, maybe it's a good thing with all those delicacies 😂

Due to a mistake we had to wait over an hour for our food, but this was made up for by free ice cream sundaes afterwards.

A nice coffee in the small fishing village. Very friendly staff and the food is good too. Even the coffee was acceptable. This is not the case in most bakeries due to the fully automatic coffee machines. However, the town itself is very quiet. A matter of taste 😁

Something had fallen in the kitchen, yes, shards are good luck, but 1 waitress was very moody because of this and also very unfriendly, which is a pity because this is not very inviting to come back again.

Enjoy yourself in 'The old bakery' in Urk. A delicious breakfast, super tasty coffee, fresh pastries, extensive lunch and of course a beautiful dinner menu.

We could sit outside, the cars driving past were a bit disturbing.

For the first time in urk we came to the old bakery. Bought 2 moor heads and 2 almond croissants, delicious!! And we were kindly allowed to go to the toilet at the back. But pastries are definitely recommended!!!!

Positive : -Cozy Dutch atmosphere ❤️ -The food is perfect, delicious and also designed nicely. -They serve the tea in a very cute way, there will be a tray with 6 different flavours on your table, you can chose yourself which flavours you would like to have or even mix . -There is a small fridge on entrance that you can chose your freshly made dessert, which they look amazing and taste very good . -there is a kids menu so do not hesitate to enjoy a meal there with your family Negative : - the interior design could be a bit brighter as the windows are small and inside is designed with dark colours it can be a little bit uncomfortable for some people having while having lunch - have been there couple of times and 2 times ordered the same food but it was not cooked in the exact same way or looked the same( but any way tasted very well which matters the most ) - have ordered soup with my lunch but they forgot to bring it before and when i asked I’ve been told they sometimes serve it after main meal which i think doesn’t make any sense

Well known cozy bakery and coffeeshop with savoury and sweet treats. It is advisable to come early, the café was at 10 o clock full, and that on a Tuesday morning. We had an elaborate breakfast with a very tasty omelette and some bacon, fresh orange juice, some lovely joghurt with again fresh fruit (no additional sugar 🙏) and a generous selection of bread with jam, cheese, ham and smoked chicken breast. For us it was more like a brunch with a very good reason to go for a long walk on the dam. Very friendly service too
