De Overkant in Kustwijk

What a gem this chip shop in Bataviastad is! 😍 The service is truly fantastic: super friendly and attentive. I regularly come here with my 2-year-old son, who happily rides around on his tricycle. As soon as we walk in, we're warmly greeted and asked what treats we'd like. My little man even got a free soft-serve ice cream with sprinkles, which made his day! And after dinner, the owner came over with a wet towel to clean his sticky hands – how sweet and thoughtful is that? 🍟🍨 A truly welcoming place, with a big plus for the child-friendly approach. We'll definitely be back!

Very unfriendly staff with rude comments..

The owner is super friendly! The fries are delicious!

Unfortunately no good parking but a good snack bar

The staff were disinterested. When using the restroom, they didn't communicate pleasantly that it wasn't allowed. They shouted from a distance that the food was ready, which only just managed to get off with a "bon appétit." There were lots of ants on the tables. And when we told them we wanted to eat it here, they looked at me as if it was a hassle and complicated. We didn't feel welcome. We were also the only ones in the snack bar. People behind us had already left before it was their turn.

Lovely snack bar. Friendly owner.

The owner is really VERY rude to customers. She was completely antisocial towards the customers in front of us in line, and then it was our turn to be yelled at. She clearly can't handle the crowds at Bataviastad.

Very unfriendly owner, normal and adult communication is apparently very difficult, all very childish

Super delicious!! Lovely service. Will definitely be back. The spicy chicken is highly recommended!!

Had some delicious fries and thanks for finding my wife's phone

Went to Batavia city today and ate delicious fries. What nice people and wonderfully clean tables. I will definitely come again!!!!

Fantastic nice service! Large range and everything richly invested. Delicious food again and will always come back!!

Effe lkkr een patatje heerlijk ons bakje was zeer rijkelijk gevuld. En smaakte perfect. Personeel ook erg vrolijk. Aanrader

Vrolijke bediening en kwalitatief goede waar. Helaas wel pittig geprijsd, vandaar 4 i.p.v. 5 sterren.
