De Overkant in Kustwijk

What a gem this fries shop in Bataviastad is! 😍 The service is really great: super friendly and attentive. I regularly come here with my 2-year-old son, who happily rides around on his tricycle. As soon as we walk in, we are warmly welcomed and asked what goodies we want. My little man even got a free soft serve ice cream cone, which made his day! And after dinner the owner came with a wet towel to clean his sticky hands - how sweet and thoughtful is that? 🍟🍨 Truly a place where you feel welcome, with a big plus for being child-friendly. We will definitely come back!

Unfortunately no good parking but a good snack bar

Disinterested attitude of staff. When using the toilet, it was not pleasantly communicated that this was not the intention. People shouted from a distance that the food was ready, with just a "enjoy your meal" to spare. Lots of ants on the tables. And when we indicated that we wanted to eat it here, they looked at me as if that was a hassle and complicated. We didn't feel welcome. We were also the only ones in the snack bar. People behind us had already left before it was their turn.

The owner is really VERY unfriendly to customers, she behaved really like this towards the customers in front of us in the line and then it was our turn to be really yelled at. She clearly cannot handle the crowds at Bataviastad.

Vrolijke bediening en kwalitatief goede waar. Helaas wel pittig geprijsd, vandaar 4 i.p.v. 5 sterren.
