Delicious lunch. A midday snack. A cup of soup, a roll with a fried egg, a fresh salad, and a small pancake. And all that for 12 euros. The price-quality ratio is good.

Found the cappuccino a bit too milky. You do get a small glass of whipped cream with coffee liqueur on the side, though. That is quite a surprise. I think the apple pie is homemade. With whipped cream, it’s quite a mouthful. If you sit outside, it’s decent. Inside, it has an old kitchen atmosphere. So, cool. The service is nice... but why you have to order drinks from one waiter and food from the other is a mystery. Otherwise, a fine spot!

Really a terrible place. All the tables are empty. Outside, the chairs are chained up. You walk in with a young family. And you just get sent away. Because you didn't serve them; surely you should just be able to walk in. They will never see us again.

Review The service took a very long time. We had ordered a children's ice cream and four waffles, but it took about 40 minutes. They also forgot the children's ice cream and we had to ask for it again ourselves. This is really not polite and we found it very annoying that we had to wait so long.

It was quite busy there on a Saturday evening, but that is to be expected from a pancake house. We had made a reservation online in advance. The service is extremely friendly. The pancakes are good.

We have been coming here on and off for years, and it is always delightful. Last Tuesday we were there for the first time with our 16-month-old daughter, and the service was truly more than above expectations. Our daughter was a bit tired and overstimulated; my husband took her for a short walk, and one of the waitresses was truly fantastic: she offered toys and was so sweet and thoughtful. Beyond expectations and so sweet! It is a real family restaurant, although you can also sit there in lovely quiet surroundings, with delicious pancakes and amazing staff. We have been coming here for years, and that certainly isn't going to change!

Earlier this week, I went out for dinner with friends; the service and food were excellent. A few days later, with a nice prospect in mind, I went there with family. Unfortunately, it was full, and we could only get a table later in the evening, which didn't suit us. We were, however, spoken to very kindly. A lesson for us: reserving on time prevents disappointment. It's a shame I couldn't let the family enjoy the delicious food and good service. Better luck next time.

475th wedding anniversary of William of Orange. My goodness, what a crowd. The terrace was packed, but everyone did their best to keep the guests happy, which didn't quite work with some people. Says something about those people. The food was delicious and we were served well despite the hectic situation.

We have been coming for the delicious Spanish pancakes for years. Unfortunately, they are off the menu and there is no alternative that comes close. We made a different choice, but the ingredients were out of stock there too. Very disappointing. So, after having been allowed to choose something else for three years, we are now opting for a different pancake restaurant.

This time we both ordered a Special. The food at De Pannekoekenbakker is always good, with a wide selection, but we decided to try something different this time. My wife had scampi in garlic oil with chili sauce, and I had teriyaki, broccoli, and soy sauce. We had a delicious meal.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves last Saturday. The accommodation is cozy with friendly staff. The pancakes were delicious. However, the dessert was less so. We had ordered ice cream with warm cherries. The ice cream was fine, but it was served with some warmed cherry pie filling. Very disappointing!

Nice on the terrace. Didn't go inside. I was touring for the day with my brother, so we stopped here. Sitting outside was fine. I thought I'd order a house specialty. A pancake with cheese. I could see right away that it was cooked reasonably well, but a pancake with just some grated young cheese on it for 21 euros is really pushing the limits in my opinion. That is the bare minimum to me and certainly not a specialty. Never here again. Sorry.

We stopped by for dinner without a reservation. We were not exactly greeted warmly by the waitress, who made it clear that we wouldn't be welcome for another 45 minutes because “the kitchen didn't have time”. After insisting, we were allowed to sit on the terrace and order a drink. The pancakes were tasty, but the staff could really use a customer service course.

Very child-friendly; a nice system with tokens you get with the options on the kids' menu, which you can use to choose/"buy" a gift afterwards. The small playground by the terrace was also great (and there is only a small section of the terrace where you are allowed to smoke, and that is right on the street, so nice and far away from where the children might be playing).

Delicious pancakes; you name it, they have it there. Very friendly and efficient service. It is often very busy though, so making a reservation is wise. Despite the crowds, you don't have to wait very long for your pancake. Oh yes, the desserts are amazing, and very big too 😋 Great restaurant!! 👍🏼

Unfortunately, my visit to this pancake restaurant was anything but positive. The pancakes I was served were raw and therefore really not tasty. Additionally, the service left much to be desired. The staff paid little attention to the guests; I had to ask for drinks myself several times because no one came to check if everything was in order. What also stood out was that one of the employees spent the entire evening talking mainly to her family instead of paying attention to the guests. All of this combined made the overall experience very disappointing. For me, this restaurant is therefore not recommended.

Just get a pancake here. I can see from the reviews that they are good. The warm Liège waffle came straight from the supermarket. It took fifteen minutes to arrive and it was cold. A bit of powdered sugar on top and voila, a waffle that costs 17.9 cents then costs 5 euros.

We love coming to De Pannekoekenbakker - Buren. We were sitting with a group of nine seniors at a long table on a Saturday. It was packed. As usual in a pancake house, the selection is overwhelming. Everyone can find a pancake to their liking. Orders are delivered quickly. All pancakes taste excellent. A pancake is a complete meal. Smaller sizes are also available. A nice, relaxed place for all ages. The terrace is a must in good weather. A visit to the town of Buren before or after De Pannekoekenbakker (with the podcast "Een Oranje Erfenis") is highly recommended.

Negative experience, food was cold and bad. Several people's meals, including pancakes, onion soup, etc., were cold. The "12 o'clock" menu was disappointing: a lot of lettuce without anything, a pancake undercooked (raw) and cold, and the same for the egg on a roll. Other tables around us were also served cold items and sent them back to the kitchen. So it wasn't just our table. The pancakes were very compact and unpleasant to eat. The atmosphere was very disappointing; small and cramped. The young waitresses were trying their best, some better than others. We were very disappointed and left quickly.

I went here as a child and keep coming back with the new generation. A real Dutch pancake is simply a must in your life, and you can get it here. The atmosphere is great, but expect it to be busy because, well, pancakes mean hyperactive children. They have a fun indoor play area that, as a parent, you can also climb in (getting out is another story). The food is delicious, and the selection is enormous. You can't imagine anything that isn't on the menu.

Years ago, we enjoyed several delicious pancakes, so we decided to go back. The restaurant was very quiet, and we received quick and friendly service. It was just a shame that the food was lukewarm. The soup had to be reheated, and the poffertjes were so lukewarm that the butter they came with didn't even melt. By the time the soup came back, everyone else had already finished their poffertjes, so we couldn't enjoy a pleasant meal together.

I'd like to give it 4.5 stars, but that's not possible. So, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and give it 5 stars! A super cute and idyllic restaurant located in the beautiful town of Buren. I love pastries and had a ragout one as a starter, but I shouldn't have, which knocks off half a star for me. It was delicious, but so incredibly thick and lumpy (a bit dry), which also made it incredibly filling, and I was almost completely full. Such a shame! The satay pancake was delicious; next time I'd go for something more savory. Delicious desserts and a fun coin system for the kids!

Yesterday I had a pancake in Buren, a nice restaurant, and it was delicious. But the prices were so high, I knew it, because it's on the menu. Very nice location and friendly service.

It was great a few years ago. We happened to be in the area and thought we'd grab a delicious pancake. It was quiet, the patio was empty except for two tables, but we were rudely turned away because we didn't have a reservation. (There were only two of us.)

I would have given it 5 stars because it's such a unique location. Buren is truly wonderful to visit. The village has been beautifully renovated. It's like an open-air museum. The pancake was also really delicious, as was the eggnog sundae. But I'm giving it 4 stars because at checkout I was charged €2 for lemonade? Even though we asked for tap water. This should be free and wasn't indicated when ordering! I think that's a shame.

We ate there yesterday after a day at Ouwehands Zoo. It was on our way. The restaurant is super cozy, the pancakes are delicious, and the service is good. The tokens for the kids are also great! The only downside: the pancakes were spread out. The last one didn't arrive until the first one had already finished theirs. That wasn't very pleasant.

During our podcast walk about "The Story of the Netherlands," we passed this location. The exterior was inviting. Since we needed coffee, we took a seat on the terrace. Almost immediately, an extremely friendly waiter came to take our order. We ordered two coffees and pastries. The service was fast, and the dishes arrived promptly. Friendliness, prompt service, and delicious food are the hallmarks of this establishment.

They live up to their name. It took a very long time to get a menu. People who arrived later than us were served first. It wasn't that we weren't in plain sight. The pancakes are dry/floury and, compared to other pancake restaurants, on the pricey side. Seven colas and three pancakes cost us 80 euros.

We walked the beautiful Klompenpad trail near Buren. The Pancake Baker is located at the start. There's a lovely terrace and we enjoyed a delicious waffle with a good cappuccino. After the walk, we had pancakes. There was a huge selection, though quite expensive, and they tasted good. They were served by young women; one was friendly and attentive, while the other preferred to be somewhere else.
