De Pannekoekenbakker - Plasmolen in Wijk 01 Middelaar

Another location of the Pannekoeken Bakker; the pancakes are good here too and the service is good.

The pancakes were delicious. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. I think we'll come back!

After a lovely bike ride, we stopped here for a pancake, and that turned out to be a good decision. My four-cheese pancake and the gluten-free pancake—for my wife—with salmon, cheese, and pesto, tasted delicious. It is nice that there are so many options for ordering gluten-free pancakes these days. The service was excellent, and the staff very friendly.

Delicious pancakes. A bit noisy overall, but a good place to go with children.

It was our first time here, the pancakes are delicious. We'll be back.

Absolutely the best pancake I have ever eaten! Friendly and efficient service, nicely decorated restaurant. We will definitely come back here.

Always delicious, always a highlight!!

Great pancake restaurant. Children are well catered for here.

Very tasty food, nice service, very friendly wait staff

Delicious pancakes, great service! Good place for family gatherings, especially with small children!

Tasty pancakes, friendly service. Otherwise, what you can expect at a pancake restaurant: screaming children and lots of wasps. Still fun.

It's a shame the wasps are going out onto the terrace early.

What delicious pancakes. Often when you order an apple/bacon one, you get some apple in one bite and a somewhat soggy bite of bacon in the other. Not here. With every bite, a delicious piece of bacon and tasty apple. And that while the pancake is nice and thin. Highly recommended!!!!

Had a tasty meal! You can choose 2 different halves. Nice idea, but it's a shame that the choices are limited in terms of flavors, which is why I'm deducting one star. It would be nicer if you could choose all the pancakes from the menu.

Delicious Indonesian-style pancakes

Ate another delicious asparagus pancake.

Absolutely not recommended! Terrible service! The waiters constantly ignored us. Although they understood German, they acted as if they didn't. Ordered a shandy – "We don't have it." Got it immediately from the next waitress. Ordered again from the first one – again "not available." Totally chaotic. I waited forever for a Coke. The staff just stood around and had absolutely no desire to work. As a German, I didn't feel welcome there. The food was mediocre, the service catastrophic. Never again!

Delicious food, fast service, and a cozy atmosphere. A well-deserved 5 stars!!!

Good restaurant. Tasty pancakes, and that’s what matters. Generously topped and, fortunately, the right size; no shrinkflation.

We were here 2 weeks ago and had a delicious meal. They also took into account a family member who had undergone gastric bypass surgery. Friendly staff and tasty food.

A nice, child-friendly pancake house. The pancakes were delicious and not too expensive.

We were very satisfied and had a really delicious meal. The selection of pancakes is fantastic – from classic to unusual, there's something for everyone. 🥞 The service was quick, attentive, and friendly. We especially appreciated the little gifts for the children – such thoughtful touches leave a lasting impression. 😊 Our only minor criticism: it's unfortunately not the cheapest option anymore. Overall, though, it's a lovely restaurant with delicious food, a good selection, and pleasant service. We'll definitely be back.

Very good pancakes. With a non-smoking terrace.

The food was delicious. Unfortunately, the premises are very noisy. Our appetizers were completely forgotten. One of the two pancakes was initially the wrong one. This was corrected, but there was no apology or anything similar.

The service for the pancakes is taking way too long.

Very good pancakes, also highly recommended gluten-free!

After a walk at the Mookerplassen, we ended up here for lunch. Today, Easter Monday, the weather was beautiful, so we enjoyed sitting on the terrace. We shared a delicious pancake because it was so big and well-filled, but you don't finish it just like that. The onion soup tasted good too. Oh, and the pancake and the chicken roll. See photos. We will definitely be back again.

I always used to order pancakes with mushroom ragout there; I always found them delicious. I think the recipe has changed because it was like there were lumps in the ragout—no broth taste, but more of a flour taste or something similar that they use to make the ragout, so I won't be ordering this anymore.

Extensive menu with delicious pancakes. If you have allergies, they are taken into account well. The service could be a bit sharper during quieter moments, which is great during busy times.

Delicious pancakes! Always a good atmosphere, fast service, and friendly staff.

Very nice restaurant. For me, I made the wrong choice. I don't think bell peppers belong in a farmer's pancake. But of course, tastes vary. It was listed on the menu in yellow lettering that hadn't been noticed.

Great pancake house, but it's getting a bit dated. I think it's great with small children.

Super fun and delicious. It's great that you can collect stamps for every €12.50, I believe. The toaster we chose for the stamp card unfortunately broke after just three months. The shop was always fun as a kid. It's a shame the self-cleaning toilets were discontinued early; they were pretty cool. Also, the PlayStation buttons broke quickly and haven't been replaced as far as I know. The games room is a bit like... well... what can you do with it, and you can barely log in or play. I'd invest more in that. On my 12th birthday, I said it was my birthday (three times, I might add), and nothing was done with it. I thought that was a real shame, and it's something I'll always remember. Those things are so important, that's why. We've been coming here for about 15 years, I think. That says something ;). It's great that you can create your own pancakes, and you can't imagine anything too crazy. What a fantastic place :)! P.S. Since I learned I can't have gluten or cow's milk protein, I've been sharing this information, and I don't have stomach problems every time I visit. It's so great that this is possible, thanks!

Enjoyed delicious pancakes. Perfectly cooked, crispy edges. Great company: my 90-year-old mother and my dear sister. We'll definitely be back, so you'll definitely see us again.

I ate here with my family last night. I had a surf and turf pancake, with prawns. Around 10 PM, I suddenly became very ill. I got food poisoning from the prawns. My advice: absolutely do not get prawns here.

A large selection of pancakes – all very delicious. The highlight for us was the blueberry crumble pancake.

They have a huge selection of pancakes, which is impressive. Unfortunately, the service is very slow, especially for a simple menu. This seems to have improved considerably. Service is now fast.

Went here because it was raining and the kids like pancakes. They have a small play area for kids and a small store where they get to choose a gift with the coins they get with the pancakes. Pancakes themselves are quite thick and dense, not a lot of flavour. Would be incredibly bouwt when busy.

Great to eat pancakes with the grandchildren.

Unfortunately, the photos suggested there was a play basement, but it was locked, and the space leading up to it only contained four game consoles, three of which weren't working. A huge disappointment for the children. We also had two children's menus that included ice cream. We paid in good faith when we paid, but when we got home, we discovered the ice creams had been removed from the menu at €2.60 each (2x), and two other ice creams had been charged at €5.20 each. When we tried to call at 8:30 PM (closing time 9:00 PM according to the information here), there was no answer, and an automated message saying they would answer the phone until 8:00 PM. The pancakes were delicious and cooked to perfection. Please make sure the play basement is explicitly marked closed somewhere so it won't be such a disappointment. Also, get your bills in order and be reachable by phone during opening hours. Edit: The photos appear to have been removed from Google Maps. That's a good start. If I can get contact information from someone here who is familiar with the bill, I can pass it on. All that's left is your phone number, and then I can increase the rating to 4 stars.

I don't like pancakes, because they have nothing to do with the original from years ago.

A wide variety of pancakes. Fresh ingredients are used. Highly recommended.

We've been coming here for 28 years and are always incredibly satisfied. The pancakes are delicious. We went today with my 81-year-old mother, and it was fantastic. We received a warm welcome, the staff were lovely and attentive, and there was a nice little gift at the table, even tokens for the birthday boy. Thank you all, and especially Maarten Jongerius. Keep up the good work!!

Delicious! A very extensive menu. Friendly service, quick service. In short: highly recommended!

Had a great meal in a beautiful location.

The food is fine. The service needs some attention. A meeting with 5 people huddled together. When dessert arrived for the kids, a staff member literally and figuratively dropped the coins. The food wasn't even delicious. Too bad. (I'd say find a job elsewhere.) While the girl who served us first was actually very helpful and friendly.

A real pancake restaurant. Lots of different kinds... a bit over the top. But the onion soup from Happen en Trappen was good.

delicious pancakes and tasty ice cream.

Great place to sit during the bites and stairs tour. Nice soup. Benches outside could use a bit more comfort. Was done with it quickly

It's a must at our classic car meet. Every year :-))) Delicious food, fast and friendly service. We'll definitely be back :-)))

Reasonable pancakes here. The one with cherries was a bit soggy. Otherwise fine.

We come here every year with lots of friends. The pancakes are delicious. Unfortunately, there's no such thing in Germany. Or we haven't discovered it yet.

Lots of choice and delicious pancakes.

Cosy, young children can also go here very well ---- Great. This time not super busy so quickly eat a well-filled pancake.

Best pancake house ever! Really tasty pancakes. And we are not the easiest guests since two of us have to eat gluten-free, and that is no problem here. And the gluten-free pancakes are also super tasty. The service is also very neat and a paradise for children!

Quiet upon entering - very busy and pleasant entertainment when we left. Enjoyed a delicious pancake and a few drinks / the little one tastefully captured his portion of poffertjes. Also shared a Mookerheide white beer 👍🏽 - tasty. We had a savings card, thought we read that it was for the pancakes / unfortunately it also applied to the poffertjes ----That could be clearer. Until next time!

This was my first time trying a Dutch pancake, and it reminded me of the egg pancakes I had in Taiwan. It wasn’t too soft or too hard—it had a nice chewy texture and tasted great! I ordered one without green onions or garlic, and it was topped with cheese and bell peppers. They had both sweet and savory options, and I thought both were delicious! They also gave tokens to the kids so they could exchange them for small items at the little shop inside. The space here is quite spacious, making it a great place for the whole family to visit.

Delicious food & very friendly service. We like to visit from the North when we are in the area.

Crazy pancake ideas, delicious. Unfortunately the restaurant is very large and therefore usually very noisy.

Tasty pancake... reasonable price/quality.

Very tasty food. We both had a gluten and dairy free pancake and they were very tasty.

Pancakes were good. Unfortunately, the service (very young staff) "forgot" to bring the birthday cake for the birthday boy, even after asking 3 times. Too bad, missed opportunity, the birthday boy was really looking forward to this.

If you have a “craving” for pancakes, it’s okay.

The cheese and pineapple pancake was terrible. All you could see was cheese and three slices of canned pineapple on top. I had the impression that pancakes had been pre-baked and heated in the microwave. Price/performance 👎🏼.

Whenever we feel like pancakes that we don't make ourselves, we go here. Gladly combined with a walk in the area. Whether savory or sweet, there is something for everyone on the extensive menu. Dogs are also welcome. We can only recommend this restaurant and would be happy to come back.

Delicious pancakes! The children can play here, both indoors and outdoors. Simply great!

Top here. Can recommend the poffertjes. Also delicious desserts. Dogs are also welcome. Very nice.

Nice atmosphere where children can play, but there is no nuisance. Delicious pancakes, tasty desserts and always friendly staff.

Excellent pancakes, good service and funny living paintings... you don't have to drive and you are 18+? Try the Grimbergen pancake 😋

nice staff, fun for kids. Starters and main courses went well, but the food itself was not great. very dry pancakes, it was not very hot either. fun for the kids for once, but you don't have to come here for a good pancake in my opinion.

Delicious food...the kids really enjoyed it!! Especially choosing the mantles and toys :) we bought some extra mantles ourselves to spoil the kids. The only disadvantage I find is the screens/computer games. I would rather see only open ended toys. Kids quickly end up sitting aimlessly behind the screen. Which I'd rather not have. Well, they're just there. I'd rather see more toys xD

Had a nice meal again, have been there several times, usually for my girls' birthdays. This time again and neatly indicated that there was a birthday boy with the reservation. Unfortunately, this time we had to ask for the birthday tokens and indicated that we also missed the party cake... we still received the tokens, but unfortunately not the fake cake with fireworks, which she thought was a shame because it is always so fun and spectacular with the fireworks fountain. !

The Pancake Bakery in Plasmolen is an absolute must! It is always cozy with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel right at home. It's a party every time for my daughter; they are wonderfully pampered there. A nice restaurant for a delicious pancake and a nice experience!

Friendly service and tasty pancakes.

Cozy location, own menu that is only from here. Friendly staff.. Beautiful area for walking

Absolutely unfriendly service. The shop was almost empty but finding space for 2 people was a problem because the kitchen would close 30 minutes later. The staff couldn't speak German or English or didn't want to. The food was too expensive in relation to the quality. We have just put our boat in the harbor - the shop can no longer expect us to visit!

A regular customer for years: - Delicious pancakes. - Wide menu choice. - Friendly staff. - Reservations are recommended. Some comments: It is very noisy during 'rush hours'. But given the number of people (with children), this is of course inevitable. Highly recommended!

Lots of choice and variety options. Also for people who are not big eaters or don't like pancakes. In addition, the desserts are very generously filled, but you can also opt for cheaper options such as pastries for dessert.

When you enter the pancake house in Plasmolen you immediately feel a warm, hospitable atmosphere. The interior exudes a homely charm, as if you were joining friends for a meal together. The service is unobtrusive, fast and efficient, and with a smile that feels genuine, as if they know you have escaped the hectic pace of everyday life. The pancakes are simply a delight. Every detail is right: the perfect balance between sweet and savory, the velvety texture and a crispy edge that gives just the right bite. The ingredients are fresh and carefully chosen, and you can taste that in every bite. It's not just any pancake; it is a small ode to craftsmanship. This pancake house in Plasmolen embodies everything a good pancake house should be: delicious dishes, a relaxed atmosphere, and service that feels like a warm embrace.

Ate with 12 people. Good atmosphere, tasty food and fast service. The children enjoyed it (and so did the parents). Played Mario on the gaming computer with my nephew. Super cool machines.

Large restaurant with fast food. A large selection of pancakes with different toppings are offered here, similar to a pizzeria. The restaurant menu is huge and everything sounds good. Depending on the person, the service was a bit slow when it came to ordering drinks and getting them delivered correctly. The food was at the table shockingly quickly. Unfortunately with smeared plates, the sauce was over the edge and under the plate. It was tasty but more like fast food and the evening visit to the restaurant was over very quickly. We didn't like it that much and that's what happened to us on our first and only visit here and we graciously give it 3 stars.

Perfectly tailored to the target group. Nice formula, all fine. But nowhere special.

Tasty pancakes but very warm inside

The food was delicious, but it was a bit noisy. But it is also a restaurant aimed at children. A minus point. We were not given new glasses when drinking. We had to ask for it.

Delicious food, friendly staff, worth repeating!

Pancakes aren't that tasty. Lots of choice. Presents are fun for young children, there is also plenty of choice.

Food good, unfortunately the play cellar mentioned on the website was not open.

Had a drink and a delicious mug of soup

We came here to eat with 9 people. A cozy pancake restaurant. Great for children and therefore also for adults. There is a nice playground. And a shop with trinkets and gadgets for children. You can pay there with special coins that adults can earn by ordering pancakes. Delicious pancakes and a festive dessert.

Ate at Plasmolen branch. The pancake pizza ham mushroom was fine. The ham pancake had an overkill honey mustard dressing on it. I was expecting a honey mustard sauce but it was really dressing. A bit sour and way too much unfortunately. It even bothered me later in the evening. By the way, I also visited the branch in Woudrichem and ate another pancake there, everything was fine here.

We had coffee and cake, which was well prepared and tasted delicious

Delicious pancakes in this cozy restaurant. There is a lot of choice, not only the traditional pancakes, but also special ones. Staff were fast, friendly and polite. Definitely recommended, with or without (small) children.

Delicious pancakes, nice playground and friendly staff

Enjoyed pancakes with the grandchildren. It was very tasty, cozy and incredibly friendly. Also plenty to do for the little ones. Big compliment!! 👌

Visit with 8 people: +We were given the option to sit outside while they also kept the table free inside the table in case we wanted to go downstairs +A changing table in the men's toilet, more restaurants should have this! +Very broad and deep menu +Excellent pancakes -It took a very long time to prepare the dishes for both the starter and main course, possibly due to understaffing in the kitchen. This was on an evening when NL was going to play the European Championship. -Our table and the 2 tables next to us sat with empty glasses for over an hour, even though there was service available. They stood in front of the bar for a very long time making small talk. In total there were more than 20 people around us without drinks, missed opportunities or turnover. The food and drinks are excellent and a perfect place to eat with children or groups, provided the service is attentive and the staff capacity is in order.

Good service during a fun outing

It's been a while since we ate a pancake here. It's not next door and we still had good memories of it. Unfortunately this time it was different. We got something to drink fairly quickly and immediately ordered our pancakes. The bacon/champion/leek/cheese pancake was more like a large amount of leek/covered with cheese/few mushrooms/bacon. After the first bite I was hopeful that it would get better, but the flavor of leek started to dominate with each subsequent bite. Then I added some syrup and icing sugar for flavor, but in vain, the leek continued to dominate. I ended up leaving two-fifths of the pancake. I complained to the waitress and she would pass it on to the chef. When paying, I asked the waitress again. She says it varies from chef to chef. One person benefits more than the other than the answer to my question about what they do with my complaint. I say that I will not settle for that because I have to pay the full price. After which she starts the discussion that I should have sounded the alarm earlier and that I had not eaten just a little bit. Quite surprised by this reaction, I immediately said that the Pancake Baker can expect an annoying and bad review. A bit of arrogance from the chef I think. In any case, the waitress apologized for the pancake (baker).

It was delicious, but only 1 comment ... I thought the pancake was turned over on both sides with the dough That was not the case The 12 o'clock was particularly delicious A big 10 Service good Thank you Wendy

This is where the charity mailbox was located. A few years ago everything was perfectly fine here.
