De Pauw in Wijk 00 Waalwijk

This is the best Chinese restaurant in Waalwijk 😊 I used to come here with my parents as a child in the 80s. Now I've been faithfully ordering menu 47 every week for over a year 😉 Great people and amazing food 😊

a rather awkward restaurant with no customers. we had some portions of crispy pork because we couldn't understand the "Japanese" who served us, she didn't speak English or German, complicated..... plus.... it seemed quite expensive for what we ate

Afgelopen week Chinees gehaald bij de Pauw. We hadden loempia's, chinese tomatensoep, babi pangang en koelouyuk. Heerlijk gegeten, super lekker.

Duck with more fat than meat! It was simply inedible, so rancid. It should have been crispy, but even that wasn't possible.

Excellent takeout meal. The meat and chicken were tender and tasted exactly what you'd expect from a Chinese restaurant. The rice table is more than enough for two people. The taste is exactly what you'd expect from a Chinese restaurant. Excellent!

The food was tasty, but the takeaway service was poor. They didn't understand it. Give an 80 year old woman for 33 euros for her alone, while she asked for a small bowl. She asks what they have given and both stand with their backs to you.

It's happening less and less. I have no problem with it being more expensive, but nasi looks like white rice. And for example, nasi Ramses doesn't look good anymore either. Very bad. They also get those cheap cookies that they add with it and they feel like they can't be eaten at the promotion. That's how they break. Just wait and see. They will still sell fries

Our trusted address for collection for years. Yesterday the 8 of us really enjoyed the extensive menu of De Pauw. Always friendly staff.

Super bad Bami is yellow in color satay sauce is watery prawn crackers in a bag really the worst Chinese I know. I once ordered and paid there and received €10 too little back. Only got a response when I held the door handle and turned around and shouted that it wasn't right. The Mandarin is better but quite expensive and not great. It's better to drive a little further for better food.

Babi pangang was disappointing.

Van te voren besteld om af te halen. Om wachten te voorkomen. Tijdsafspraak gekregen en dan nog meer dan 45minuten moeten wachten op ons eten. En dit is niet voor het eerst!! Zeer slecht in communiceren plannen en afspraken maken!

Ordered Babipangang with nasi, the nasi had no taste and the sauce was too sour in taste

Wij hebben al meerdere malen hier een samen gesteld menu gehaald. Maar afgelopen week was het niet lekker meer saus als vlees. De bami pangang was taai niet te eten. Heb gebeld dat ik niet te vrede was. Alles wat ze zij ik zal het doorgeven aan de klok. Nou ik ga er geen eten meer halen.

Ordered 2x spring rolls, they were not tasty, the first time the outside was soft/greasy, with the second order the bean sprouts/vegetables were slippery on the inside, too bad there won't be a 3rd time.

Just had a delicious plant-based meal here. Dishes all prepared the way the owner likes to eat them. Wasn't on the menu, but don't hesitate to ask the staff about it. They prepare a delicious meal for you with love and pleasure.

Have you ever been to a Chinese restaurant where they serve you a spring roll big as a sandwich and with basically heaven on earth inside? Well I did. And this place in Waalwjk is where it all happened. I was visiting some friends and went to De Pauw to have dinner. It's a very modest place, run by a very hardworking and dedicated family, who you can tell, do things the traditional way and the quality is superb. I had also a chicken curry dish with potatoes that made me wanna lick all of my fingers. But the most surprising thing, came at the end: kroepoek. Homemade, spicy, delicious and free. They just give them to you as a gift and you will love them. I will definitely come back again, and bring my family next time!

Never had such bad Chinese food before. Lighting flashes. She couldn't do anything about it, so I stood on a kitchen step myself. Toilet dirty and pieces of porcelain. Beer Chinese, Heineken or Palm, is then in a Dommelen glass. No orange juice. Everything smells and/or tastes musty. Fries fried in old fat, croquette dripping. The coffee was from senseo. There is an exercise bike in the middle of the restaurant. Food is served in steel soup kitchen containers. Also way too expensive for a Chinese.

Lekker echt goed Chinees afhaal-eten. Eerst even bellen om de bestelling door te geven maakt het wachten korter.

Af en toe haalde mij Opa hier af om samen met de familie te eten, kwaliteit is in orde maar meer ook niet.
