De Potdeksel in Wijk 00 Deurne

We ate here with friends, 4 people. We had 2 fish salads and 2 carpaccios as starters. The fish salad was tasty and well-filled, but after a while, those who had eaten it developed stomach cramps and diarrhea. For the main courses, the tournedos was hidden under the sauce. I always get the impression that there is something to hide when the meat is served like that. The same with the surf and turf, which was smothered in too much béarnaise sauce. The sole was not nicely browned but had sticky, wet flour on it, not what we are used to. The mixed grill was not good; the chicken fillet was bone dry, the tenderloin tasted sour, and the BBQ sauce looked like sweet jam. So, we won't be returning.

Nice, cozy eatery with friendly staff. The waitstaff politely apologized that serving the coffee was taking a bit long due to maintenance on the machine. That's how it should be!!!

Unfortunately, a disappointment. Salads were swimming in fat, the shrimp dried out. The main course wasn't much better. Sole was swimming in fat, tasteless. Pork tenderloin was particularly dry and the mushrooms very salty. A pity.

Unbelievable. Reserved for Mother's Day on May 10th. Showed to the table nicely. And that was it... After 20 minutes, no one came for drinks, the menu, or anything else. We got up and left. And no one looked at us or asked what we were doing! Scandalous, considering there was plenty of staff walking around. And I am not the only customer who has experienced this. So... At the neighbors Jut & Jul: welcomed, served a drink, menu, and order. Also identical to the other negative review about De Potdeksel. P.S., I review many restaurants and eateries.

Had a delicious meal with girlfriends: a small cup of asparagus soup and the Potdeksel salad with all kinds of fish. Nice, attentive staff, top-notch!

We had a few glasses of wine in this cozy place. It was busy, but you can still easily chat with your table companions. We received snacks with our drinks! Friendly service, fair prices. Great place for lunch and drinks. The atmosphere could definitely use some improvement. It needs a serious makeover. And yes, I understand that the place is packed with young people on Saturday evenings, but still. The service was excellent and handled correctly. And about the food: it's been a long time since I've seen such a large lunch menu that was so reasonably priced. Two croquettes with bread for 8.50, where else do you see that? So, price-quality ratio is simply excellent. And it was also simply delicious.

The food was very tasty, but barely warm. We chose to sit outside. If you don't have to blow because it's warm, you know you'll end up with cold food. And that's exactly what happened. That was a shame. The service was polite.

Shortly after eating 2 soles, my wife became ill about 1 hour later. Vomited 9 times and developed a fever. Ruined a party with friends and a holiday. I don't think compensation with a free drink is compensation. I will not visit this eatery that I have been to before again.

Gezellig terras midden op de markt van Deurne. Fijne lunchkaart met voldoende keuze en vriendelijke bediening. Zeker een aanrader.

Perched on a lovely sunny terrace. Nice lunch menu and are complete just for lunch. Soup and three small well-filled sandwiches. Service fast and friendly so definitely recommended.

Goulash soup was nice, but when we ordered 2 small bottles of prosecco, we received both bottles with overdue expiry date. When mentioning that to the staff they just said those are last two they have. Not an apology nor offering a solution to this, just staring at me..

Went away for a weekend in Deurne and had a delicious meal at De Potdeksel. Pork tenderloin with champion sauce and butcher's snips with pepper sauce. Delicious carrots with beans and fries... a great affordable plate and a large quantity. Together we enjoyed a parfait of gingerbread, delicious! Cozy cafe and friendly service!

Perfect location and delicious food 🍽

Mooie uitgebreide kaart met gerechten voor een redelijke prijs. Wij hadden spare ribs (mega groot) en snitzel. En als toetje Bastogne parfait en Nougatine ijstaart. Het is een gezellig restaurant en het wordt druk bezocht, maar voor ons te rumoerig.

We laten het bij een eenmalig bezoek. Het hoofdgerecht liet een uur op zich wachten. Vlees was wel in orde maar de garnituren waren niet in orde. De warme groente was smaakloos, de frites veel te slap en veel te vet. Veel jonge medewerkers die echt kun best doen. Er loopt ook een oude oma, nog net zonder rollator, die probeert de orde te handhaven. Grappig om te zien, maar volledig kansloos. Gelukkig zijn er betere gelegenheden om de hoek.

Fomos muito bem tratados pela equipe. A carta de cervejas é muito boa e os petiscos são deliciosos. Recomendo.

Mooie plek aan de markt, met goede professionele en vriendelijke bediening. Obers lopen daar werkelijk de benen onder kont uit, hopelijk krijgen ze hiervoor buiten de fooi nog een leuke bonus. Heerlijk gegeten weer.

Houdt ergens het midden tussen een oud bruin cafe en een modern eetcafe. Als we eens in Deurne zijn dan komen we er graag.

Dahin kommen wir wieder. Dann aber um 17.00 Uhr. Ab da gibt es dann Dinner. Vorher lediglich nur Kleinigkeiten. Deshalb 1 Stern weniger. Aber diese Kleinigkeiten waren äußerst lecker. Das Personal schnell und freundlich. Hunde wurden mit Wasser bewirtet.

We hebben hier voor diner een schnitzel van slagerij Van Goch gegeten. Deze was lekker en zeker niet droog. Als nagerecht hebben wij crème brûlée gehad. Deze vonden we wat minder. De bediening was vriendelijk.

Heerlijk gegeten! Lunch compleet is een echte aanrader! De Dekselse burger ook lekker. We hadden gereserveerd en zaten eerst binnen in een wat donkere ruimte. Daarna verplaatst naar de carroussel. Daar is het een stuk gezelliger zitten.

Potdeksel lekker gegeten! De ribbetjes op Deurnese wijze waren zo mals en sappig als boter. Heel lekker van smaak! In tijden zo geen lekkere ribbetjes gegeten. Aangename en vriendelijk bediening!
