An absolute must-try in the food hall! The burger with truffle sauce is particularly recommended, but the sandwiches, fries, chicken, and steak dishes are also delicious and freshly prepared. The prices are reasonable, and ordering is easy via mobile: You'll receive a text message as soon as your food is ready. The only minor drawback: The drinks in the food hall are quite expensive unless you take advantage of a special offer. Overall, a clear recommendation for anyone looking for good, quick food in the food hall.

We were here a year ago and came back again this holiday to order steak fries again. HEAVENLY. Super tender meat, perfectly seasoned, and served with a delicious truffle sauce.

The food hall itself is an ideal spot for a snack or a main course, and its variety is sure to please. "De Resident" seems to want to prove its worth as the longest-serving "food hall" (since 1977), as word of mouth speaks for its high quality standards. Well, yes... I can definitely confirm it. I opted for the steak fries with extra truffle mayo. The fries themselves were beautifully fried "al dente," crispy, and made no mistake in terms of flavor. Prepared just right: crispy and without unnecessary traces of frying oil, plus well-seasoned. The meat was absolutely delicious. The quality of the Angus beef can be tasted in every bite. The meat was cooked almost perfectly to rare. Slightly pink/rare in the center and seared on the outside. Simply a delight. The truffle mayo is intense in flavor, but not so overpowering that you can't enjoy the rest of the dish. It's a perfect topping. Conclusion: A simple dish that has most likely been refined over decades of experience. Therefore, I think it's justified that the stand (the restaurant) displays its founding year, 1977, directly beneath the logo.

Really recommended!!! Staff very helpful, cozy and nice people. Kitchen very clean and hygienic which is also difficult to find these days. Food is delicious 🤤 Meat is super tender and good portions was already full before it was gone. All in all just great!! Go check it out!

Little meat is filled with fries and that for that price. Staff is very rude and coarse especially those with blond dyed hair.

Had a bizarre experience today with the resident. While ordering my food on the screen, I saw to my surprise that the boy with the failed blond hair was in his nose and was peaking something. Then he went back to grabbing the food with the same hand as if nothing had happened. After seeing this, I just walked on and ordered at gyros express since the hygiene is in order there.

Always have the steak fries and it is definitely recommended. But this time I had the garlic cheese steak sandwich. It was delicious. The steak is always very tender and juicy, the fries are nice and crispy and there is always a nice truffle sauce. Also always friendly staff.

Just had a steak sandwich on brioche bread with tarragon sauce. I don't know if I can say that, but it's so tasty. Foodhallen is not cheap, but if you get one here for 16 euros you will have a front row seat for next to nothing.

The food is delicious especially the ribs.... really good fries. Definitely a must try. Really enjoyed the food an the sitting area it was clean an nice music.

Amazing service! The steak and fries are better then good. I’ve been to high end steak restaurants that didn’t serve me steak of this quality and seasoned so well. I suggest this to Annie that loves steak and fries! Oh yea, the fries live up to the hype on their own as well!

During a tour through the Foodhall Scheveningen, we noticed De Resident. We saw the beautifully presented dishes ready to be served and it immediately caught our attention. What a top service! While we were hesitating between chicken and meat, the friendly Moroccan young man came to our rescue. He recommended the meat and let us taste a deliciously tender piece - we were immediately sold. But the chicken also looked irresistible, so we decided to have both: Chicken Things and Steak Fries. And wow… what a taste! As if that wasn't enough, we also received cheesy garlic bread on the house as a surprise. A small gesture, but it made the experience extra special. The slogan on the signs, “One of those things worth trying”, is more than justified. In short: delicious food, great service and an employee who really has a passion for his work. We will definitely come back!!

I had the garlic steak sandwich....wow! It was absolutely delicious. Hands down one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The brioche bread, the amazingly tender meat, cooked to perfection! The steak was the best steak I have had in a long time. We walked by and immediately noticed his atmosphere as he welcomed us and said we won't regret it. We definitely didn't.

Nice cafe within the Foodhallen Scheveningen. As a meat lover you will get your money's worth here. You can get spare ribs, chicken and steak here. The meat here is well seasoned and barbecued. This gives a delicious woody flavor to the meat. I had the chicken thighs myself. After ordering you will receive a beeper. You can pick up your order and sit quietly in the Foodhallen.
