Cozy restaurant with very friendly and helpful service!

We had a super delicious burger and the atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. It was partly thanks to the lady who served us, she was fantastic! I can't remember her name, but she was amazing!

The food was delicious, but it was strange that you don't get a napkin with your cutlery; you have to ask for one. It's also strange that you're asked to save your order for the next course. The atmosphere is good, and the food is absolutely delicious!

At first, it took a very long time to get the menu and then to order; we even had to ask for it. Then another colleague took over, and things improved; she was also very friendly and cheerful. The food was otherwise good, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant.

A very positive experience! The dishes are delicious and of high quality. The staff is professional and welcoming, making you feel immediately welcome. Ideal for a relaxed lunch or dinner. Highly recommended.

This is a very atmospheric restaurant. That's why I'd reserved a high table at the front three weeks in advance for drinks and appetizers for a group of five to celebrate my birthday. I called that afternoon to confirm the reservation. But unfortunately, the tables in question were occupied upon arrival. Naturally, I confronted the manager. According to him, reservations can never be guaranteed! It depends on how busy they are. This despite the "reserved" signs being on the other tables. No solution, no apology; he clearly didn't care. There wasn't another table reserved for us either; the reservation had simply been forgotten! So admit it! We were eventually tucked away in a dark hole next to the spiral staircase to the restroom. Later, we were moved to another table ourselves and had a lovely evening. Thanks also to the other staff, who did their best and understand customer service. I have a background in hospitality, but this manager clearly doesn't get it! Not good for this establishment, I think.

Had a drink here before going to the Omniversum movie theater. It's a very nice and atmospheric bar/restaurant. Uiltje IPA is on tap. Absolutely fantastic! Currently, there's a beautiful Christmas decoration.

I ordered my steak well done. But received a bleeding steak. Food was sent back to the kitchen and returned still red but better however, it was sitting in all the blood that ran out onto the plate and vegetables and I could not eat it. It wouldn't have taken much to change the plate, the food wasnt touched I only cut the steak open to see if it was cooked. The restaurant is well decorated, nice vibe and the young man gave excellent service.

We had a lovely meal and drinks here yesterday before going to see U2TWO at Omniversum. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and so was the service. Special mention goes to Sam! If we ever go to the second part of this concert, we'll definitely be back for a bite to eat.

Great food, burgers, fries and onion rings and Tokyo chicken were excellent, almost as good as the cocktails… expresso martini was one of the best that we’ve ever had… highly skilled cocktail aficionados who are passionate about their drinks.. off menu offerings available should you know your stuff.

Very friendly service! A superstar behind the bar and a very service-oriented young woman serving (who's only been working here for a month). However... I ended up with food poisoning. I had intestinal cramps and a bad night's sleep as a result. That's certainly not the intention. It's a real shame, because now the service is beyond reproach. Come on, everyone, keep doing everything right!

Highly recommended, hot meals served until late in the evening! The food is super fresh and uniquely prepared. The cocktails are excellent! Some of the negative reviews are unfounded and false.

Kitchen open until 22:00. Hard to find in The Hague... Had an excellent Caesar salad and my friend's burger looked really tasty.

The food tasted good. The service was friendly, but we weren't served at first, and we had to ask for our drinks several times. Finally, we ordered, but nothing came. I don't know if it was just too busy, but an apology or a brief explanation would have been nice.

During our two-day stay in The Hague, after a long search, we decided on Hudson. When we arrived, it took a while for a server to take our order. We also had to wait about 20 minutes for the food – acceptable, but noticeable. The wait was worth it, though: the food was really good. The burger was juicy, the fries nice and crispy – delicious and filling. We paid around €48 for two people, which I think is absolutely fine for the quality. The price-performance ratio is good. In general, I find it difficult to find a restaurant in The Hague where you can fill yourself up without spending "half a kidney." Compared to other local restaurants, Hudson is definitely recommended – a solid choice with which you can't go wrong.

Food was delicious I really had nothing to say about the Hudson burger and the sweet potato fries were also tasty. Service was fast expected also not different in an empty place. Drinks and food were served and the rest of the time nothing more is asked. Also personal conversations are held that the guests can hear and the staff is smoking on the terrace. I personally can get very annoyed by this. If you have an almost empty place on a Friday night, something goes wrong. After dinner still no one came by despite 3 in the service, we walked to the bar ourselves to pay and even then they didn't ask if it had tasted good or something. I see bad reviews about this and that the owner is going to discuss it but I'm afraid the staff is too free and there is no good management present.

I liked the atmosphere, the food was very delicious, I just didn't like the service being quite slow in bringing the menu and the food, and it wasn't overcrowded, that's the only suggestion, a very nice place

Went for dinner yesterday before visiting the theater. It wasn't busy and when you enter you don't even notice anyone. After 20 minutes they came to take drinks, which arrived quite late. Wanted to order and beckoned to the waiter, but they were busy with each other. Walked to service myself for attention. Then I ordered and when the food arrived, the fries were lukewarm, so I said something about it and got an attitude and face from the waiter, but I didn't say anything because I was already irritated. But in the end I had hot fries within 2 minutes, then the satay was lukewarm but I didn't want to wait again so I ate it anyway. Waitress asked, did everything taste good, I honestly said not, but we were in a hurry so we couldn't wait again. There was NO sincere apology whatsoever and we quickly paid and left. You will never see me again here, bad food, bad service and price-quality is rubbish. I would be ashamed as a restaurant owner. Especially considering the other reviews, do something with it....

Went there spontaneously for dinner. Burgers and tomato soup were fantastic!

Lovely hamburger place. Lots to choose from on the menu. I took a hamburger in tortilla bread. It tasted great. Nice staff. Typical American decor.

Vrijdagavond. Kaart is heel beperkt. Het duurde vervolgens heel lang voordat de bestelling kwam. Deel hebben we helemaal niet gekregen. Saté was echt bespottelijk weinig. Dit kan zo echt niet.

Nice, relaxed and casual place for a drink and a bartender who knows his way around cocktail land! It can be cold sometimes if you sit close to the door. A curtain there does not keep out the cold enough.

Waited for our drinks for more than half an hour while there were almost no customers. Asked several times if we could still have our drinks. Staff do not communicate and appear unmotivated and unsocial. Terrible experience so we left and certainly won't be back.

We spontaneously went to the Hudson Restaurant for something to eat: We were looked at a bit stupid at the door without a reservation but then got a table at the door that was still dirty. Unfortunately service was very bad!! We also had to wait 10 minutes until we were asked to order our drinks. And the same goes for when ordering food. Then we were ignored, which was a shame. We also had to go to the front ourselves to pay. Not recommended unfortunately

Review of Hudson's Restaurant: Disappointing experience Our experience at Hudson's Restaurant last Sunday was nothing short of disappointing. Upon arrival we waited for the first 15 minutes without anyone looking at us. After having to actively ask for attention three times, someone finally came to our table. This set the tone for the rest of the evening. When the food finally arrived, there appeared to be an error in our order. Instead of solving this properly, we had to get our own cutlery because there was nothing ready. The food that did arrive was barely lukewarm, suggesting it had been sitting for some time before being served. The service was downright bad. The waitress seemed completely disinterested and gave us the impression that she would rather go home, even though it was only 7:30 PM. No attention was paid to us. In short, Hudson's has failed on all fronts. We will not return here and cannot recommend the restaurant.

Booked a week and a half in advance, there turned out to be no table ready. We were squeezed in somewhere. After waiting 35 minutes for our drinks we already wanted to leave. But then the waiter came and said the receipt was lost. We immediately ordered the food just in case we had to wait that long again. But that turned out to be ready after 10 minutes. Huh??? Music was so loud that we couldn't hear each other. And it was chilly inside. Okay, eat somewhere else next time.

Cozy cafe, friendly service but certainly not enough staff. Long waiting times for drinks and food. We heard that the owner has been on holiday for a long time and does not respond to staff who are clearly working hard.

Have often been to the Hudson to eat. We were actually immediately looked away even though no one was sitting there. What can I do for you, she asked in an unpleasant tone. We said we would like to have a quick drink. The window was not possible due to a reservation. We were told to go to the back. Oh no, that wasn't possible either. Then just in a corner near the stairs. Then we were completely ignored and the 2 ladies stood at the bar chatting. Later the cook was also added. So we just left. I have just expressed my dissatisfaction regarding the customer service. It's scandalous that these types of staff get away with this.

Service is of a very low level and quite uninterested in the guests. We had to ask for a menu ourselves, even twice for dessert, ordering drinks in between was also difficult. Food was ok, but not all well prepared. Management has very little catering knowledge.

Nice snacks and nice drinks, but I don't really drink. Was here with a friend who finally gave me a great idea of what to drink when soda, tea and alcohol isn't a good option: just order a bottle of gas water with a slice of lemon and ice! I thought the pita with aioli was really surprising, the gyoza's were nice and we were pleasantly surprised with the chicken roast roasted bao buns. Next time we will definitely try the waiter's personal favorite: beef tataki! I don't really like it when restaurants imply you should tip when you pay by card, I am much more likely to tip when I just can say "just make it [added 10%]" but if it's not optional it kind of leaves a sour taste at the end of the night.

Fantastic food, and a great atmosphere. I was travelling alone, speaking a foreign language, and made to feel most welcome. I had the meat lovers stack and the flipped fries (which I would 100% recommend). Also the Swinckels lager is very satisfying. I will be sure to let people know to visit here when they come to The Hague!

The food is acceptable, but the waiting time for the food is extremely long!!! We waited for 1.5 for the starters, and another 1 hour for the main dishes. I feel like the restaurant is trying to make money from the drinks as much as they can, since they kept asking if we are going to order another drinks, instead of trying to make food faster. And stop using expired tissues! It’s too dry to use it!

The Hudson B Burger was amazing! With the fries on the side, you'll be full afterwards. The menu is available in different languages ​​(in addition to Dutch, at least English and German). The person is very quick and attentive. The price-performance ratio is good. I'd love to come back!

Top restaurant in one of the nicest and atmospheric streets in The Hague. Service was great!

We didn't eat because we were waiting a lot and after another table came after us and they were first attended it was just enough for us so we left.

As a frequent eater at a different location of Hudson, I was extremely disappointed by the quality and portion size at this location. I will not be back here. The pitiful nachos barely had any cheese and were unceremoniously lumped in the middle of the plate. The chicken Caesar salad was significantly smaller than I'm used to, and literally had 3 *small* bites of chicken on it, for which I paid I believe a €5 upcharge. And it was missing croutons too. A burger we ordered was so well done it was nearly black in the middle. One disappointment after the next. I will spend my money elsewhere in the future.

We went there for dinner last week. The food was delicious. My daughter had a burger that she couldn't quite finish. I was allowed to eat the rest and it was amazing. Really very tasty. I had Chilli Sin Carne, which was also delicious. Unfortunately for me it's just a little small. Luckily I still had the rest of the burger. My wife had a salad that she still raves about. Unfortunately the service was miles behind. First we had to wait over an hour until we had our food, and when they asked for dessert, we had the menu brought back to us. After that, no waiter showed up for about 30 minutes. We decided to skip the dessert and asked for the bill. But first I had to look for an employee. It wasn't that nice.

Delicious Nachos with chicken that was not dry, and the Korean Chicken was insanely good! Haven't had such a good meal in a long time!

The food was the best of the best. You could say you get twice as much food for your money. The Hudson restaurant sweetens your evening with an exotic selection of dishes and drinks.

Awful experience. We ordered two drinks (a cocktail and a Swinckles), and the waiter who served them seemed annoyed from the start. We went inside to complain about the Swinckles as the taste was awful (we've had it many times before elsewhere, and it was always lovely). The dark-haired waitress we complained to passed us on to another blond haired waitress instead. As we informed her about the taste of the Swinckles and how undrinkable it was, a friend of hers came into the bar. At that point, she ran away from us and over to talk to her friend instead, dismissing and ignoring us completely. Terrible customer service. We paid the full bill and left (most of the Swinckles still left in the glass on the bar). Would not recommend, especially if the blond haired waitress is the acting manager. Disgusting behaviour.

Upon arrival, we were told that we had an hour and a half to eat because we were visiting the theater. According to the staff, it was no problem. After 70 minutes still no main menu. Just when our patience was running out, the food arrived, which we had to eat in fifteen minutes. Could hardly apologize and pay the full price. Note: the restaurant was otherwise empty, so this was not due to crowds!

We had to wait about an hour for our burgers although it was not particularly busy. The burgers were below average: the bread was not fresh , the meat extremely dry.

Mixed grill 2x 25 Euro - burger fried to death. Satay and mini spare rib (almost no meat) eatable. Thimble full of coleslaw (small ketchup container), not enough with the greasy food. Only afterwards it turned out that the fries had to be paid extra. 2x 7.50 euros!

Een paar jaar niet meer geweest, maar wat is dit restaurant ernstig achterruit gegaan. Van het eens zo befaamde gerecht Mix is weinig meer over. Eigenlijk is alleen het sateetje goed te eten. De rest niet. Het mini bakje cowsla was te klein om al de vettigheid te reduceren en de bijgeleverde frites bleek achteraf apart betaald te moeten worden a 7,50 pp. Wat een ontzettende rip off. Het mini hamburgertje was eigenlijk te droog en branderig en was zonder heel veel saus niet naar binnen te kunnen krijgen; erg teleurstellend voor een aangeklede hamburgertent. En geen enkele sorry achteraf van het personeel. Vaarwel! Ons zie hier niet meer terug.

Been here a few times now for drinks. It looks like a nice place, but what I have noticed on every visit is that the service from the staff leaves a lot to be desired. You can wait half an hour in an almost empty shop and then order something yourself at the bar. Even when paying at the bar you are completely ignored and the staff is busy with themselves; not very customer friendly. This could be better, it is good to pay attention to this in the future.

We had dinner here before going to a musical nearby. We were with a large group and had already said when making the reservation that we wanted to eat quickly because we had to move on. That was no problem and they were going to take our time into account, they said on the phone. That was certainly not the case. We had to get the menus ourselves, it took a very long time before the food/drinks were taken. Finally got food 2.5 hours after arrival. Quickly get everything in and on to the musical. Very bad experience with this Hudson! Fortunately, the musical was enjoyable!

Ein schönes Lokal, was von außen eher unscheinbar wirkt. Sehr leckeres frisches Essen und gute Preis-/Leistung. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Lockere angenehme Atmosphäre.

February 2024 me and 12 years old daughter got Salmonella in this place from chicken dish(Kip sate). Kept us sick for at least 3 to 4 days and we even paid for that… I will never forget the young waitress while having our plates in her hand to bring them to the table she stopped to say bye to her friends,kiss them, chat with them for at least 2 minutes on top of our plates(as the plates were still in her hands). Then she finally came over throw the plates in front of us while shouting “ eet smakelijk “ . Really now?? Finally leaving the place I turned my head to have a Quick Look at the kitchen as I have plenty of experience from professional kitchens due to my profession. From what I could see many Oily surfaces, dirty floors, personele handling food with naked hands? Very well deserved one star Hudson’s. You have a long way and many things to consider in order to be a decent eatery.
