Very nice restaurant with fine cuisine.

Today we had lunch for the first time at De Smaeck van Hellevoet. The food tasted very good. It was served neatly and the quantities are excellent. We were helped by an incredibly friendly young man. It is a very pleasant place to eat and drink. We will definitely go here more often.

First time here for lunch and it was very tasty. The service is fast and friendly.

Simply great! We had a delicious lunch! The staff was super friendly (a big 10!), the atmosphere was relaxed and cozy and the food was on the table quickly and tasted really great! In the neighborhood and looking for a nice lunch? Then you are in the right place! See you soon!

One evening we dropped in, but luckily there was a table available. The daily menu was a revelation: it followed a theme, with the four courses seamlessly flowing together. Delicately flavorful, full of passion, and a delight for both the eye and the palate from the first to the last crumb. The atmosphere is friendly, and the service was also excellent. We'd happily drive an hour out of our way for this. It's definitely worth 5 stars.

Had lunch here and that I asked for gluten free bread was no problem at all. The warm meat sandwich was particularly tasty and the service more than fine. Will definitely come here again.

The bisque is amazing..!! I could eat that every day. I also recommend everyone to choose the 4-course menu. The products are fresh, the menu tasty and varied. I want to eat something that I can't do "better" at home... (and I'm not a wimp in the kitchen) De Smaeck delivers...

Delicious food, everything tasted great and the plates were beautifully presented. 1 lady serving on a weekday. It wasn't busy, but sometimes it took a little longer to get your drink. Personally, I didn't mind this, as it made for unhurried dining. We will definitely come back.

We had high tea. I had a really nice meal, but it had nothing to do with a real high tea. It was simply a delicious lunch with delicious sandwiches, delicious soup beforehand and tasty small sweet snacks for dessert. But certainly not high tea. Staff was very sweet. Once again a really tasty meal, but it didn't even remotely resemble a high tea.

We are full of praise!! The waitresses are friendly, think along with you and are very professional. The food..... wooowww delicious and the layout is also beautiful, what I really like is their open kitchen, the chef is always there with a smile and enjoys his work! Recommended!!

Food was great, beautiful dishes. The wine arrangement was disappointing, I do not recommend it. No wine with dessert. Always forgot. But that shouldn't spoil the atmosphere. Highly recommended for food.

Top address in Hellevoetsluis! We enjoyed the 4 course menu. Not only did the dishes look beautiful, the flavors were all good too! If we were to give a small point of criticism: the main course (ball steak) was served with many different types of vegetables. I'm personally not a fan of artichoke hearts, so I left them out, but there was also spinach, 3 different types of mushrooms, a piece of chicory, baby corn, cherry tomato, green asparagus, carrot, and I may be forgetting a few more. Perhaps it is sufficient to choose 2 or 3 of them, preferably those that are now at their best, and work with them. I didn't take a photo of the celeriac-truffle soup with pistachio crumble, it was too tasty and I was gone before I knew it :-) For the rest: absolutely great!

Nice service. Sweetbreads in advance, not too much, but delicious. Cod and tagliatelle was delicious. Corn chicken, tender, tasty gravy. Crème brûlée was great.

Top establishment. Very charming service. Delicious and plenty of food and drinks. Butter-tender tournedos, in which your knife immediately sinks. Harmonious atmosphere. Nicely located. Easy and free parking. Cute house dachshund. Highly recommended for a super fun night out.

What a nice, cozy restaurant where they know what hospitality is. And the dishes are a treat for your tongue, with a matching wine arrangement it was absolutely GREAT! We will definitely come back from Nijmegen.

Everything was in perfect order, a lovely warm atmosphere, neat and good and friendly service! Brought there for the first time for my birthday by my husband and my children. Starters and main courses were delicious and more than enough! Good taste and nice and warm. We will definitely come back here again!

Delicious high tea. We received a friendly welcome and really did their best to give us a great afternoon.

To get straight to the point, a bit pretentious in our opinion. Not a bad restaurant, certainly not, and the taste of the food is good. The staff is also friendly. But there are certainly a number of points of attention, including: The furnishings are dated and in need of a makeover, including the damaged wobbly chairs. Unfortunately, we did not sit comfortably and relaxed. Serving was generally done with gloves, but not consistently. In the meantime, a cheese board was prepared without gloves. The finger that accidentally touched the fig chutney was licked off, and then used to finish the rest of the board. The use is gone and gloves are a sham in this way. Then again behind the bar, after which a bunch of mint was added to the tea with the same hand. Perhaps it was automatism and coincidence that I just noticed it, but this is not possible. Price-quality ratio is still too high looking at the whole. Once again the food is just good, but not extraordinary and the quantities do not compensate for it. Ambience and comfort need some attention. Nice for once, but it's not quite it for us (yet?). Maybe in a while, never say never.

Super cozy restaurant with people who know what they are doing! Chefs who bring out the most beautiful and tastiest dishes from the starter to the after course. Service super hospitable and neat, all people who do their profession with passion. Very nice wine list that has been carefully selected by the sommelier and goes well with the selected dishes and also changes regularly at reasonable prices. We eat here regularly and have never been disappointed with anything. Super nice menu that changes regularly so nothing gets boring here! Thank you for all the great evenings we had!

Delicious food, nothing to complain about. While you can always use a portion of fries at most other restaurants, the served fries tend to have to play a supporting role here. This is definitely recommended!

We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Starting with the great service with perfect wine advice, even in German. The ladies were very attentive. Every course of the meal was simply delicious, the open kitchen looks very professional. The dinner rounded off our last day of vacation wonderfully. We'll definitely be back next year. After a friendly welcome we received the wine list which contained beautiful wines. We chose the chef's 4 course menu which was truly fantastic. Price quality a big 10.

Cozy restaurant, friendly staff and delicious food! 4 course menu, for dessert we ordered a cheese board with a portion (unfortunately I don't have a photo of this). Menu was €40.00. Some dishes took a bit long, but the dishes made up for it! Recommended!

Had a business lunch 2 weeks ago. It was good but simple. We had made a reservation but were seated at a high table while the rest was almost empty. The lunch menu could be a bit more extensive.

This restaurant is really on the edge of Hellevoetsluis and not at all in a logical direction Still, it was almost full on a weekday. The dishes are pricey but they know what they serve. The dishes look beautiful. The waitresses are neatly dressed and serve professionally and unobtrusively. Despite all the occupied tables, it was quiet in the restaurant. In summer you can also sit outside. Beautiful, seriously composed lunch menu with salads, sandwiches, soups and egg dishes. Also have an extensive collection of wines.

We hadn't been in a while. There is nothing to criticize about the food. But the stacked chairs, the dog in the hallway, the mail package from the waitress in the shop, dripping beer glasses, those were points of attention. The wine was also refilled noisily. The waitress stood with her shoes on a chair, which was then pushed back under the table without cleaning.

De Smaeck van Hellevoet is echt een aanrader. Je wordt heel goed geholpen, ze houden de helicopter view aan zodat je niet zonder iets hoeft te zitten. Je kan ook heel leuk de keuken inkijken zodat je ook ziet dat alles schoon is, daarnaast is het eten heerlijk.

Goede mooie en heerlijke gerechten....Qua hoeveelheid niet echt veel..!!! ( bij een 4 gangen menu )....Op weg naar een ster..???...Vriendelijke en nette bediening...en een goede sfeer.......niet echt goedkoop..!!..

Zeer gezellig, en ook vriendelijke bediening. We hebben ons laten verrassen door het 4 gangen menu van de dag. Alles was super lekker en goed verzorgd.

Wir hatten das 4-Gänge Menü und es war wirklich unglaublich lecker! Hochwertige Zutaten und die Zusammenstellung von den Gerichten war sehr stimmig. Das Ambiente sehr sauber und gepflegt. Wirkt von außen aber erstmal nicht direkt wie gehobene Küche. Der Service war sehr freundlich und gut geschult bei Fragen nach dem Menü oder dem Wein. Immer wieder gerne!

Heerlijk gegeten! Duurde alleen wat lang voor we eerste gerecht kregen en 1 ober was nog niet voldoende ingewerkt. Toch 5 sterren vanwege het uitmuntende eten!

Burger was niet lekker. Broodjes keihard en geen saus op de burger maakt het 1 harde massa.

Lekker gegeten, alhoewel de witvis wat weinig smaak had. Was blij met de extra frieten; er was maar weinig puree onder de vis.

Eerst een heerlijk voorgerecht, dan een geweldig hoogdgerecht met een fantastische wijn en dan wil je een lekker toetje ... toch??! Sorry hoor € 11,50 voor 6 toefjes t.g.v. een kwartje van uuhhh wat was het eigenlijk. Ohja nog een superklein bolletje ijs. En was het lekker, nee!! Zuur!! Ja, het ijs was lekker. Voor de rest echt niets op aan te merken. De service is echt heel goed! En ik kom zeker terug, maar neem geen dessert meer...

Fijne avond gehad, voorgerecht hoofdgerecht en dessert heerlijk, alleen was het schrikken toen het dessert geserveerd werd. Griekse yoghurt met honing, walnoten, ijs, drie theelepels yoghurt en drie druppels honing een theelepeltje ijs en wat kruimels noten. Het schaaltje waarin dat geserveerd werd was net vuil en dat voor die prijs. Het ergste was de reactie van de chef op ons commentaar, lomper kon bijna niet.

Altijd zeer tevreden geweest ,het eten is goed,de bediening is niet leuk ! Wou een ander plaatsje ,teveel zon , dat werd niet met harte ontvangen!! Gingen achter mijn rug lullen en keken mij steeds fel aan!ja voor een klasse restaurant kan dit niet ,zonde want ik kom er niet meer
