Cozy place, friendly staff and good food!

We were moored here on the quay just in front of this restaurant. Beautiful location with an outdoor terrace. Good value for money. Super friendly staff who really mean business. Definitely recommended.

Cafe Italiano is the bomb. The meat platter for two without prawns is awful. Neropassa is a top 2% wine, definitely recommended. Watch out for the cheese platter.

Yesterday we had a wonderful meal at De Buren, with delicious sparre ribs, schnitzel, and a delicious dessert. This was just a taster, as we were celebrating our 55th wedding anniversary on August 8th and wanted to dine there with nine people. Unfortunately, that was cancelled because they would have a different menu. There would be no schnitzel, no sparre ribs, and no delicious dessert. The staff were incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was great. We politely asked if they could make an exception, but unfortunately, they couldn't, as their kitchen was so small. So, to our regret, it was cancelled. While the food was delicious and plentiful, they gave them a solid 9. But they haven't lost us as customers. We'll eat there again next time. It's just a shame about the 7-person menu. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening.

Fantastic restaurant, delicious food

Beautiful building and tastefully decorated restaurant. The carpaccio starter was delicious, but I didn't understand the salad and orange segments. I would top it with arugula (but the chef's own twist is certainly welcome). The main course, Pepper Streak and Argentinian steak, was cooked well, medium-rare, as requested. It was delicious, as was the salad/corn garnish. One area for improvement for the hosts/hostesses: they would honestly mention the price in the daily special (this also included the tomahawk on the menu for €88). With a daily special, the guest relies on the chef's recommendation for a special, which isn't on the menu, for a reasonable price. (Recommending the most expensive dish without mentioning the price and finding out for yourself from the menu will ruin your appetite.)

The value for money is just right here! Super friendly service and really delicious food 😋.

I ate here with my friend on Tuesday, July 1st. Our appetizer was delicious, but for the main course, we ordered an Argentinian steak. Mine was overcooked, making it inedible. It was dry and tasted very burnt. The waitress said there was nothing wrong with it and wouldn't take it back, so we just had to eat it. The waitress wasn't friendly either.

This is really a restaurant in my top 3!!! The food is truly delicious!! Starter, main, dessert.... everything I ordered was top class. This makes me genuinely happy!! The selection of beers on tap is also fantastic!! These people will see us back very often and thanks to us they will welcome a lot of new customers because I recommend them to all my friends and acquaintances......

HORRIBLE! If you want to receive attitude from teenager serving, then you go here, otherwise go down the road and have a proper nice, welcoming and professional experience. Staying at the Hotel which is part of the same building & shares access of the back terrace. 1st night: with a young server (Amber) all was TOP! But really top, super friendly, super welcoming, suggestions about food and drinks etc... top. So nice it was that over 25% tip was given. 2nd night, a client comes to visit post work meeting. Young server grumpy and rude to client who arrived earlier. Upon my arrival, same server talks back, rolls eyes and gives back very bad attitude to a simple question to confirm if "excuse me was X already ordered". And 3 more times we were disturbed by the rude and unwelcoming server. I not only had to apologise to my client but had to go and talk to the manager outside to express how rude and bad mannered was this server. We left, went down the road to another restaurant and the behaviour was the exterme oposite: super welcoming, nice and normal Not a random angry teenager We will not return and advise no one to visit this place

What a party! 💕 For our 6th anniversary, I asked the restaurant to think along with us about the theme of love – with some decorations, something nice in the shape of a heart or a 6, and a custom menu. Well… they more than delivered! The table was decorated with hearts as if Cupid had taken his job seriously, the main course came with beautiful puff pastry hearts, and the dessert – melt melt – had chocolates made of choco and the text “Congratulations on your 6th anniversary” on it. 💖 The service? Fantastic. Attentive, cheerful and they left just enough time between courses for an evening full of nice conversations and beautiful moments. In short: above expectations. This is one of those places where you don’t just come to eat, but to make memories. Thank you for this loving evening! ✨

Friendly atmosphere. We enjoyed the platter for two, which included four types of meat. The staff was efficient and attentive. Thank you for the little French note on the bill.

Delicious food, tasted perfect. Only the portion size could be improved, that leaves a lot to be desired. Someone who doesn't eat much says that she is still hungry after the meal says a lot. While the rest of the table at home just had a sandwich. Someone with a healthy appetite doesn't have enough. For the rest, it was really delicious, compliments to the chef.

Yesterday I ate at De Buren for the first time. Although I currently do not drink alcohol, the beer menu positively impressed me – a strong selection that other establishments could take an example from. The main course was very tasty; the six of us really enjoyed our meal. The steaks in particular are clearly their specialty – well prepared and full of flavor. If I may mention one critical point: the spare ribs were disappointing. They were a bit tough and did not fall off the bone, which you would expect. I would skip them next time. The service was generally good and attentive. One waitress seemed a bit nervous and uncomfortable, but otherwise nothing to complain about. All in all a nice first experience – we will definitely be back!

Do not order extra fries. Standart fries is enough :) service is very fast. I ate kipsate but I didnt become "wow" so try another thing.

Great atmosphere, super friendly staff. Highly recommended. The pepper steak lived up to its name! It was really well peppered, and the sauce in a separate bowl was plentiful. Perfectly cooked, beautifully presented—simply a dream.

Food was fine. We were three people. Not very flexible. For example, a grand dessert for 2 people was not possible with three people and something like that also happened with the main course. Doesn't take away that the waitresses were nice.

Delicious food in a beautiful restaurant, lovely staff.

Nice place to eat something but also just for a drink. It is huge but on a Saturday evening it is guaranteed to be full, so reservations are recommended! We were lucky that we got there quite early, so there was still a spot available for us on the lovely sunny terrace. Later it became so busy that everything went a bit slower, we were ahead of the crowds. Cocktail+mocktail definitely worth the money. Chicken satay wonderfully tender and good peanut sauce, Argentinian steak juicy and tasty. Creme brulee perfect and the Dame Blanche was also delicious with the callebaut chocolate. All in all a great evening with good service and good quality food!

First we sat outside on the terrace with our starter. Then it cooled down quite quickly, but luckily they still had a table inside. Food was fine, but the waiting time between dishes was long.

Good meal, service ok, but unfortunately we could not have a dinner gift card scanned or entered. I can't find anything about this on the website either, despite the staff pointing this out.

The food is very tasty! There is a lot here for meat and fish lovers. There are also two alternatives for vegetarians. The vegetarian avocado burger was delicious! The atmosphere is very nice, rustic and cozy. Unfortunately, the waitresses weren't very motivated; we were only served when we asked. But they spoke English well.

So far only top quality has been known.

Had dinner here tonight with a group of 10 people. We had a perfect spot with a view of the kitchen. It quickly becomes apparent how calm the kitchen staff are. That resulted in delicious food for everyone. The service is very good with special credits to Floris who thinks along with the guests and does everything he can to make everyone happy!

We had a delicious dinner with you this evening with our family. The food was excellent, the service was great and especially the compliments to Floris who made everything possible for us. We would like to come back again and hope that Floris will be present again.

Not as it used to be unfortunately, but I've been there several times and still a tough piece of meat every time. Not tender. I find the plank of primal bread annoying to cut yourself, it creates a lot of crumbs. Many empty glasses are left on the table. Very noisy

We had dinner here on Valentine's Day and had a very nice evening. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. There were balloons with hearts everywhere in the restaurant, creating a festive and romantic atmosphere. The tables were beautifully set, and the lighting was just right: not too bright, but cozy and intimate. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We were helped quickly and felt really welcome. The food was generally very good. I had the chicken satay, which was wonderfully tender and well seasoned. My friend opted for the mix grill, and he was also very satisfied with the different pieces of meat, which were juicy and tasty. Unfortunately the spareribs were on the cold side, which was a shame, but fortunately this was somewhat compensated by the rest of the dishes. Dessert was a highlight of the evening. We enjoyed a delicious dessert together, which was the perfect ending to our dinner. The portions were good, and everything was beautifully presented. Despite the minor setback with the spareribs, we had a great evening. The atmosphere, friendly service and delicious food ensure that we will definitely come back here again. This restaurant is definitely recommended for a fun evening out, especially on special occasions such as Valentine's Day!

Cozy atmosphere with incredibly friendly staff who even came to say hello after the change, before a colleague took over. The cuisine is exquisite! In our opinion, the classic tournedos are recommended! But lunch is also always great here. And when paying, a small personal scribble written by the person who served you may be smart in terms of the tip but is still certainly appreciated.

I have eaten here many times and have always enjoyed it. But now we came with a group of 8 and it turns out that you can only choose from a small group menu . If you were looking forward to a tasty snitzel or pepper steak in advance, this turns out not to be possible. We did eat well, but if we are with a group, we will eat somewhere else.

Cozy place to eat. We had a late lunch here. Pulled pork sandwich is delicious. The service is also friendly and good. Also easily wheelchair accessible. My wife has this temporarily and we notice that good access is not good everywhere. To the toilet it is tight for the wheelchair along the tables.

Actually, 5 stars is not enough for this restaurant! I have been coming here for several years and this is our favorite restaurant in this region. Service always cheerful, conviviality and quality are paramount at De Buren. Eating here is always a treat; both lunch, drinks and dinner. In the nice months a lovely and beautiful terrace on the water. You can eat the best steaks here! My compliments!

I come here often. Tastefully decorated. Food very tasty. In the summer there is also a nice terrace at the back above the water of the harbor.

As a carnivore, this is one of my favorite steak restaurants. Beautifully decorated, yet spacious so you can eat comfortably. Had prawns as a starter, duo steak as a main course and dame blanche as a dessert, including a few drinks. It was all very tasty with generous portions, but especially the price of about 6 euros was not too bad. Will definitely come here more often, but make sure you reserve in time as it is busy.

Delicious food. Meat is really delicious here. But you will then be served fries with fries sauce. What a huge letdown. The menu does contain mayonnaise. That's the worst of all. There really is a big difference between the two. This was also mentioned the previous time we came. Apparently not important for cooking. Such a shame. Really spoils my dinner. Reason to skip this restaurant. Really a shame.

Restaurant de Buren is now in a new location with a terrace and it has become even better! The food is still delicious and now comes from a beautiful open kitchen. And because the Restaurant is now many times larger, it is now easy to deal with the hassle around 1.5 meters, but I can't wait until it is full again!

Lovely setting, very nice decor. Very friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Unfortunately our food wasn't so good: the Argentinian steak was OK, the Black Angus burger was a disappointment and the Pepper steak arrived incorrectly. The bill also arrived with the incorrect steak and too a while to sort out (but it was sorted out). Overall this was a disappointment for us but I think another day it might be much better and we will try it again.

Had dinner with my partner on September 21. We were recommended the Argentinian steak, so we took it. The food was really delicious, we didn't have to wait long and all the staff were very friendly. If we are ever in Hellevoetsluis again, we will definitely come back! :)
