We had a wonderful party (60 people) there, with excellent service. A delicious and extensive hot lunch followed by an ice cream buffet. Friendly staff.

Enjoyed a delicious pastry from Top Patisserie. Plenty of choice.

The wait for service outside on the terrace was very long. I went inside to pick up the lunch menu. A table outside hadn't been cleared, attracting many wasps to the drink rings. Because of the many wasps outside (no trap set), I fled inside. Unfortunately, dogs are allowed inside. The decor is very atmospheric. The fried eggs and chicken thigh sandwich tasted great. A Belgian draft beer at €5.45 is rather pricey, though.

Not recommended. While lunch was being served around us, we were told it wasn't available. Okay. Then the drinks menu... bittergarnituur (a type of snack), nuts, but no napkins, and no one to ask if everything was to your liking. Sitting outside wasn't possible, even though plates were being cleared from outside. The staff was running around but didn't seem to care about the guests. We were here to get an impression of our wedding venue, but we'll look elsewhere. Next time, we'll drive past it! It looked promising, but it was a huge disappointment.

At first glance, this restaurant looks cozy and is conveniently located with a terrace. However, the food is very poor, which is a shame!

Stopped in for brunch here by chance. The service was good. The decor is cozy and atmospheric. We ate croquettes with bread. Delicious old-fashioned croquettes. Afterward, we went for a lovely walk. Then we enjoyed a delicious American Chardonnay on the terrace in the sun.

The atmosphere is good. The food leaves a lot to be desired. A lot of tendons in the tournedos. The service is very young and needs some guidance.

Starting point for our "Happen en Stap" (Hops and Walks). Beautiful location. Delicious cup of coffee and pastries. Delicious lunch. Nice walking route.

Had lunch on the terrace. Pleasantly surprised by the chicken satay. The vegetables under the large skewer, along with the satay (chicken thighs) and peanut sauce, gave it a gado-gado feel. Delicious with the fries. Large terrace, half of which was closed. I read something about that in other reviews, but it didn't bother me.

We were there with our campervan and were allowed to choose our own spot. The restrooms were neat and clean. It was a great base for cycling to the Soesterduinen, Soest, and Amersfoort.

The croutons in the Caesar salad were stale. The other Caesar salad was ordered without dressing and croutons due to allergens—there were still a few croutons in it, and there was some dressing on the salad. It was a shame and careless on the part of the kitchen. The young woman serving on the terrace was very kind and attentive. But we won't be returning.

We were there on a Tuesday evening and it was quite quiet. We only had dessert, which was delicious. The coffee was also good. It was part of our "bite and go" experience, and this was our last stop.

Great place to have a drink, you would be very close to each other. And of course often with a dog in between. You have to like that. Good location, enough parking. Atmosphere is not entirely clear, I would make the cake myself. Lots of potential to make it a cool place

Very tasty and reasonably priced. Good variety of options to satisfy everyone’s cravings (nice fish entrees or burgers and fries for example). The dishes are also creative, for example the Dorade was a nice combination of textures and flavors and the Witlof Ceviche appetizer was a pleasant surprise. I think the bread starter and Madeline’s dessert needs improvement as they were more dry and not very flavorful. Service was friendly however not very prompt even on a slow evening for dinner at 19.30 where only 2 other tables were dining with us. The ambiance inside was relaxing and with good lighting.

We wanted to have lunch but were received very unfriendly. There was enough space but they made it difficult because the tables were too warm and the side entrance would open soon. But that could not be arranged. Really scandalous there were 2 couples sitting outside. One thing is for sure I will never come here again!! What a bad place not recommended. This does not deserve a star but unfortunately have to give 1 star

Today we really thought we could get a super nice table with our puppies outside on the terrace, because we had heard from hearsay that this is a nice restaurant, I will honestly say that we have never been received so unfriendly anywhere. All the tables outside were almost empty except for 6 guests and were reserved so my husband walked in to ask if they had anything available? The lady he had addressed already walked outside with a very irritated face I was quite surprised and said to my husband if they don't have a place we will go somewhere else it immediately felt uncomfortable The lady replied to this and said that they would soon have another piece in the shade for the customers and these tables were too much in the sun that is why they were reserved and otherwise she has to rearrange and build everything again and I have to.... she said annoyed I interrupted her and said fine I understand with the same tone she gave me. She turned around and walked away immediately and then we walked away too, really special. Then a few more guests arrived and they were allowed to sit there and got coffee and cake?? Really outrageous and steep this could have been done very differently. And then we drove an hour especially for this to go there what a disappointment 😟. I will really never go here again and I really do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. In my opinion this restaurant certainly does not deserve a star really super unfriendly and very unprofessional.

Op zich een gezellige brasserie, maar de ervaring van ons beiden liep nogal uiteen: de roodbaars van mijn vrouw smaakte prima, de ribeye van mij was tamelijk smakeloos (d.w.z. de echte vleessmaak ontbrak, ik had helaas ook een stuk met tamelijk veel vet eraan). Tip: gezien de eerdere reviews de ribeye van het menu halen. De sidedish, een apart te bestellen frites, kan ook beter.

Food was fine, but service all over the place. We arrived unexpectedly with a group of 12, but it all seemed to go very stressful. Staff was unfortunately very panicky and not everything went well. Too bad!

Good restaurant with a large terrace

The toad migration has started again! The first frogs and salamanders were transferred on Friday, February 21. The Green House has again made extra efforts to place the buckets and pads on the Schothorsterlaan in Amersfoort for the coming weeks, so that frogs, toads and salamanders can be safely transferred to the swamp.

Enjoyed a delicious dessert via Happen en Trappen and it was delicious. Good and friendly service, cozy atmosphere.

It was terrible the Lib eye. And we have to pay for a half beaker of water for 50 cents! I don’t recommend to go this restaurant!

We were here for soup with Happen en Stappen. The soup barely had any flavor and contained no croutons or anything like that. It just looks like a cup of soup without the tasty stuff. The cappuccino was also watery.

Met het gezin hier geweest voor de Paasbrunch. Deze was zeer goed georganiseerd en veel variatie in gerechten. Ook de service was geweldig! We hadden vanwege de Paasbrunch wel wat meer variëteiten met eiergerechten verwacht. En de zacht gekookte eieren waren knoerd hard en niet echt smakelijk. Maar deze super Paasbrunch is zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

Three disappointing experiences in a row. It's not necessarily the food (which is OK, but nothing more than that), but the service is clumsy, disinterested, and sometimes even downright rude. I find it incomprehensible that this doesn't seem to be addressed within a restaurant; the experience is so important! Fortunately, there are plenty of good alternatives nearby!

The lunch was delicious: fresh, well-seasoned, and generous portions. The price was also excellent. Furthermore, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

Very nice location. Well cared for. Nice atmosphere. I was here for training. The lunch, which was excellent, went slightly wrong due to the unpredictable schedule. There were already sandwiches. The soup came later. Nevertheless, it was all delicious and well taken care of.

Very bad service. We were here with the Ministry of Justice but were hardly served. We were offered a drink about once every 2 hours. And even after ordering, it sometimes took more than an hour before it was delivered. If you have the option to eat somewhere else I would definitely avoid this place!!

It would be useful if they announced on the site that you are not welcome due to a reservation. It is often the case after a walk in the Soester Dunes that you cannot rest. Especially when you get a little older.

Would've been wonderful if not for the dog owners, who claim nature for their pets to leave feces all over the place.

The waitress saved the rating. I don't remember her name but she was very friendly and attentive, slim, dark hair and ponytail. Anyway...The ordered chicken thigh satay had no taste and the peanut sauce was way too watery. There was salad underneath the satay, which made it just as watery and tasted as it should. Shame. The environment of the location is cozy and atmospheric.

Nice restaurant close to the Soesterduinen nature reserve. Parking is across the street which is very practical. The lunch menu is extensive, but not very many vegan options (but the standard bread with hummus). Very nice staff and plenty of space if you want to sit outside.

We had a delicious meal here for my father's birthday. It took some time to find a restaurant in the area that was suitable for both meat lovers and vegans, but this was a great place! I enjoyed the vegan won ton soup and sucade. There was a nice atmosphere and the staff was very friendly, highly recommended!

The High Tea was disappointing. The savory sandwiches were fine. The sweet part was tightly controlled. No marmalade but 1 mini jam per person, 1 scone. No chocolates seen. Additional orders were not possible. Long wait for drinks and incomplete serving. High tea presentation was not attractive. Nice terrace.

The first experience, but also a good one! Cozy accommodation, easily accessible, more than enough parking spaces. Nice and helpful employees, large and spacious restaurant area and large terrace, where you sit closer together. Modest menu, wide choice, portions are normal. If so, you'll get a little bit of fish. This literally fit in your hollow molar. I chose the Hake. The taste and decoration are more than good. A critical note, you had to ring the alarm yourself to order a second drink, but the wait staff should have inquired more often. Definitely recommended to dine with good company, you will have your dinner on the table fairly quickly! Prices are acceptable. It's a shame that you have to pay extra for fries with mayo, for example, but the Soester Duinen is no exception in that... Until next time👍

The terrace was full of dogs barking at each other and people smoking. You can order at the bar and get your drinks right away, that's practical. My "hot" panini had the camembert barely melted.

Nice walk around the orange posts and ended with a piece of apple pie.

we hebben dit restaurant gekozen vanwege de centrale ligging voor onze familie. De inrichting is prima. De bediening ook in orde, beetje nerveus maar dat kan gebeuren. We hadden allemaal een bavette besteld en eerlijk gezegd viel dat erg tegen. Weinig decoratie op het bord en de bavette was rauw. Nu woon ik in Frankrijk en daar wordt gevraagd naar de "cuisson". Ik heb dus zelf gevraagd om medium want het werd niet gevraagd. of het kwam gewoon niet binnen. Eigenlijk wilde ik het bord teruggeven maar de anderen vonden dat het toch wel "eetbaar"was. achteraf had ik het wel moeten doen. Het dessert was redelijk maar ook niet creatief. Jammer want de prijs staat niet in vergelijking met de kwaliteit.
