Pleasant canalside cafe with excellent cocktails and good food. There are very few tables on the terrace, located on the sidewalk, close to passersby and cars.

Pablo is an absolute gem! 💪 A man full of passion, professionalism, and positive energy. He does a fantastic job at this restaurant—always smiling, manages everything perfectly, and it's clear he truly knows what he's doing. A nice spot to sit and people-watch in a very touristy part of Amsterdam. We had an IJwitje, but found the taste different from what we're used to. It was less than stellar and a bit strange. The staff was friendly.

They didn't want to to give us tap water even though we paid 4 cocktails for 4 persons .. the cocktails weren't even worth. They charged us 20 euros for the water and 14 euros per cocktail. It was way too expensive !!

Don't know about the food, but we went there in the evening for cocktails and the "pornstar passion fruit martini" (or smth like that) is to die for! One of the best cocktails I ever had! The waiters are super friendly and quick.

Good food. The first guy took our order and did not put it in the system so we waited a very long time for food. The other employee gave us a free Heineken for the inconvenience. Cool location.

Went to Bar as first time in the place was told not in the kindest of manner that have to wait for them to come to the table, I apologised and waited at the table. But after 30 mins of being ignored/no service and ppl coming in after and getting served first we left. Negative experience, cafe’s around much kinder and better hospitality than this place.

Another found gem in the canals of Amsterdam. The food was very good, and the service was as good. A lovely little bistro where you can sit and people watch. A definite 👍

Friendly staff, both the waiters and the kitchen. The crunchy and delicious bruchettas and the fondue with very good vegetables, as well as the cheeses to snack on. Good experience, to recommend if you want to have a good time.

We came on December 27 in the middle of the afternoon, after lunch. A young bartender served us a whiskey and a kahlua, then a second round. He was very kind, funny, with a good spirit, we had a pleasant time. It was cold outside, we had to take it but we warmed our hearts with his kindness. THANKS.

Boxing day, drinks and snacks ordered. Little choice of beer on tap, large snacks €29, but consisted of the cheapest fried snacks from Aldi, nothing fresh, the fat was old, the bitterballen were simply unappetizing. Friendly young man helped us but did not understand the questions in Dutch. Quickly leave after the drink. A little further on we knew a grand café with quality.

We drank coffee and latte macchiato. The toilets were plain and not entirely clean. Staff was friendly.

Very nice place, lovely people, they like to have a chat with you and are very welcoming. They take good care of you and constantly ask how you are and if you need anything, I will definitely come back

We were lucky to find this place the first evening of our stay in Amsterdam, we went back every day!

It took them over >40 mins to bring a chai tea latte. Once reminded he was even quite rude about it (the shorter waiter). At the next table people came 20 mins after and even got their drinks before I did.

First waited 30 minutes for a drink + waited well over an hour for a small appetizer. INCREDIBLE! At normal workload, staff appear to be extremely stressed/desperate/overwhelmed. If you want to eat something quick, look for something else.

We were here last night Dec 31 about 7pm. We were excited because it will be our time to dine out with my youngest daughter with autism. As we placed our order my daughter suddenly stand and clap her hands out of excitement. It’s just a usual noise and everybody is in a festive mood that time. Then the owner approached us and told us to eat somewhere else because my daughter might disturbed others with her conditions. We were so heart broken and my autistic daughter started to cry that night. She couldn’t understand why we should leave as she has been a good girl that time. I wish the owner gave our daughter a chance i know we doesn’t have a chance hearing insulting words from him. We just leave and order food from our hotel room. I can see the frustrations from my daughters eye that night and it breaks my heart. Hope there are more people who would embrace their conditions.

Best service we have received in the Netherlands. We are Greeks and we mentioned to the waiter that we saw in the menu they had tzatziki. They were so kind to offer us a tzatziki (on the house) and the chef was so polite and kind that came to our table to ask our honest opinion of the recipe. It’s was the best tzatziki we had in the Netherlands but we gave some feedback to make it even better. Afterwards the chef run to the kitchen to try out the tips and make the best tzatziki. That shows love for his job and loyalty to the customers. Amazing experience. We will come here regularly 🤩Thank you Thomas and Walter!

Tasty food and good prices, but quite small portions. But delicious lemonade! We had to wait a very long time for the bill.

Worst Place! 1.5 hours waiting for a burger and chicken sandwich. He came out 45 mins later and said he “thinks” he forgot. We waited another 45 mins and finally just left 20 euros for our 2 drinks and left. No food had come out yet. Waste of time and awful place. Shocked how this place has reviews that are good. They weren’t even busy. 5 tables.

Good place to have a drink mid-morning. There is a wide variety of beers and each one is served in a different glass. We tried 3 and they were all very good. Very good treatment from Rodrigo and Cayetano.

I really enjoyed the falafel salad I got here! It was super flavorful and felt very nourishing. There were a decent amount of vegetarian options otherwise as well. We were able to sit outside by the canal which was also quite nice. The staff weren’t super attentive but that seems to be a thing here. One server was really friendly and offered up recommendations for places to go in Amsterdam. I would definitely come here again.

We stopped by by chance and it was a pleasant surprise, basic but very good food and the waiter was very friendly.

We were only going to be in Amsterdam for a few days and wanted to try several restaurants. But, we had lunch at Staalmeester one day and HAD to go back for dinner the next day. Portions were huge, presentations were beautiful and the food was delicious. The veal croquettes - a local favorite - were fantastic. The wait staff and chefs were very friendly and helpful. We’d come back in a heartbeat.
