From the first contact with Marco from De Steengroeve right through to the conclusion of my party with the service staff, especially Cobi, who had everything under control, it was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for her. I discussed with Marco exactly how I wanted things, and he also gave valuable tips to make the whole event even more enjoyable. It was a wonderful experience, and my guests share that opinion. Five stars is not enough; for me, at least ten!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

What a wonderful day I had with my children and grandchildren at the quarry. Lovely playground; it is also very nice inside. We had a delicious lunch there. The mini-golf courses look great. Everyone who works there is very friendly and helpful. Because I am in an electric wheelchair, I am very happy with the special toilets. One minor drawback: the lock on the disabled toilet near the playground is very difficult to open, especially if you are not strong in your hands. Otherwise, everything was great. Thank you very much.

Had a delicious lunch. Beautiful location. Friendly staff and friendly prices. 6 years later, back on the terrace and visited often in between. Ordered green ice tea today. I received a small glass of lemonade of about 2 dl with an ice cube and 3 slices of lemon, topped up with ice tea. No bottle, so I can't see if it really is green ice tea. I think they have a 2-liter carton from which they put 1.5 dl into my glass, and that for the price of THREE EUROS. Scandalous.

Had a coffee with the bike club

Located on the edge of the forest with plenty of parking. Very friendly staff, quick service, and delicious food. We felt very comfortable. There's an indoor playground with a café for the children. Parents can enjoy a refreshing drink while watching their children play, either outdoors or outdoors, and to top it all off, there's mini-golf.

Nice place with children, plenty of space to play. Basic menu but there is nothing wrong with that (toasted sandwich, eggs, pancake, various rolls). Friendly service

We had a delicious meal, and there is plenty to do for all ages. Dogs are allowed too. I thought it was great that they have a concept like this. We weren't able to do everything in one day, so oh well, that's a shame, we'll just have to come back again!

Great service and enthusiastic staff

Very friendly staff and a lovely place to recharge before or after a walk in the woods, with or without a dog. Dogs are very welcome, you can rent all kinds of bikes and carts, and there is a mini-golf course. Very good value for money and very ample parking. Tip: In the nearby forest, your dog is allowed to run free everywhere, so you can walk for hours!

Nicely and spaciously laid out. From the back terrace, you have a nice view of the large playground. The indoor playground is small but nice for getting out of the sun (or rain) for a while. Various tasty dishes on the menu for a good lunch!

Cozy terrace right by the forest! Good for a coffee and a pancake. Friendly service that tries its best. We found the farmer's pancake a bit disappointing, though. The vegetables were not baked into the pancake but were served in sweet and sour sauce. The other pancakes were fine.

Very nice for our 3-year-old daughter. Great outside and also nice inside. Nice and clean, and the staff also keep a close eye on children if they misbehave. A couple of boys slammed down the slide at my daughter and she came over immediately to say something about it; my daughter even got a cookie. Very nice!

Beautiful location. Not friendly. Had a double booking. Had to sit outside at first, windy and chilly. Then allowed inside until 1 pm. The bread buffet was cleared away after 1 hour without saying or asking anything, no time to go a second time. Pricey too for what appeared on the table 😒 The girls and boys who ordered outside were friendly though, the sun came out now and then, that made it a little better for our group. Not an option to go back there🙁

A lovely, cozy little town where everyone is welcome. It's also very dog-friendly and right next to a beautiful forest and off-leash area. The surrounding area is beautiful: the Brabant Kempen region. Close to Breda, part of the Breda barony.

Today we took a walk in the Chaam Woods. What beautiful surroundings. Afterwards, we went for a drink at the Steengroeve for the first time. We weren't familiar with the place. It turned out to be a real pleasant surprise for us. A neat, well-maintained establishment with many possible activities. Very nice, well-kept mini-golf. We will definitely be back for this.

We had a lovely family day last Sunday. Beautiful location and a fantastic log cabin with a spacious terrace! Everything was taken care of down to the last detail, with a coffee/tea arrangement and a delicious lunch. Rented Truusje pedal bikes. Mini golf. And our lovely José, who took care of everything down to the last detail! Our second family day at the quarry, and it was a success again!

Nice terrace, delicious pancakes, atmospheric. The activities you could do were very nice. In our case, forest golf, because you don't often get to do that. But you can also play minigolf or play in the playground. And a few other activities...or just walk through the woods...

Most of the service was friendly. One wasn't particularly friendly. The toasted sandwich was good. My friend had a shawarma sandwich, but it was so dry, a bit of a shame. It wasn't expensive.

This place is perfect for a fun getaway with kids. It's spacious, and the kids will have a blast. It's a regular stop and always a hit. You can get a nice drink in the playground. The only downside is the food is meager. Sausage rolls from the freezer in a microwave aren't a hit, and they're a bit pricey compared to the rest.

A lovely place to stroll and then grab a bite to eat. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. Delicious pancakes, but the poffertjes (small pancakes) are microwaved. I really don't think that's worthy of a pancake house. They said pancakes were their specialty. Fine, but then I'd just take the poffertjes off the menu. We didn't try any sandwiches, but it doesn't inspire confidence. They do have a really nice playground, though.

This December, it's so beautifully and atmospherically decorated. There's a large miniature winter landscape with beautiful lights and animations. There's also a lovely large nativity scene and fire pit. Everything is decorated with lights and Christmas music on the terrace. In short, if you'd like to immerse yourself in a cozy atmosphere, you should definitely go here. The service is also friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed a lovely walk in the woods 🌳

Absolutely everything was great! We celebrated a birthday here so we didn't have to deal with the hustle and bustle at home. It was a resounding success! They were very helpful, the price was a great deal, there's plenty of space to play, and a varied selection of play equipment. We're very satisfied and will definitely be back!

The indoor playground is well-maintained. Mini golf, a gnome walk, and a trampoline are available. Kids can play indoors all day for €2. Some hazard toys are available in the playground. You can enjoy a delicious meal in the little house at the front. The farmer's omelet is huge! 😅 Parking is available. Friendly staff.

This afternoon, after our walk, we wanted to have a nice coffee at the Steengroeve. But when we saw those awful, overly elaborate Halloween decorations, we left. It's a shame you do this, because there are also people who are against Halloween!
