De Treeswijkhoeve in Wijk 00 Waalre

It's a shame we couldn't order Trees for home delivery for 5 people. We've always enjoyed our food at Treeswijkhoeve and will definitely be back.

Plankton and sweetbreads were really great here!

The food was of a high standard. Every dish demonstrated craftsmanship and attention to detail. It was a special experience to dine here.

Always been a top restaurant. Now it's the ultimate. Beautifully located, those Michelin stars are well-deserved. The clientele is close-knit, I should know. We eat until the next bite, incognito, dress code, perhaps, but not strictly required. It's appreciated. Understandable, reservations are a given. It speaks for itself. More exact dates later, how much later? No one knows what you're eating, and especially with whom, what, and where. Incognito, there are still a few restaurants ahead of us.

First of all, my visit didn't bring the experience i expected. Sadly. First, environment was great. This restaurant is cozy and relax style. If you plan to do something special (eg,. propose to your girl friend) then this may need your consideration. Second, I don't mean bad but waiters are wearing oversize suit trouser with sneakers... visitors were wearing smart casual with an oxford...this doesn't seem right. Third, when we set in, I did expect the host to go thru the dinning flow to set the rhythm of the night, but it didn't happen. Suddenly, starters came to desk without table set.... It didn't bring the surprise but already a little shock. Also they serve warm towel. Which was sweet but the way to bring to your customer that require training. You don't spread put a roll of tower at the height over your customers' head. there possibly can be steam and water dropletthat you don't want to spread it right in front of customers' face. Turn it around, do it, then deliver to your customers. Also the clamping device should keep proper distance with customers' eye, please. Forth, when order the drink, there was no menu at all. To order thing in blind was weird especially for michelin restaurant where possibly would use special seasoning in the drink, which was no way any waiter nor waitress could possobly able to explain well. Drinks were excellent, don't get me wrong, but this needs to be improved. Don't make a surprise into a shock.. Fifth, I attached a wuagyu photo. I challenge the chef if you are watching! You wasted the wuagyu!! Meat itself was A4 which I can taste the natural sweetness and tenderness with special flagrant of wuagyu. BUT, YOU SERVE THE WUAGYU WITH SAUCE ALL OVER THE MEAT!! This should never happen to any meat for 40 euro spplement per piece. AND CHEF YOU FAILED TO PREPARE THE SAUCE. It was made with beef broth with soy sauce I believe. It was very very plant sauce I have ever tastes. It was also too salty for wuagyu. The sauce almost cover the wuagyu sweetness and all flavors. Please reconsider to add vege/fruit/seasoning ingredients to make layers in sauce. Serve sea sal is also an option. Wuagyu doesn't require sauce at all. You are michelin 2 stars not tapanyaki on the street. Be confident to your food ingradients, please. Sixth, one of the starter (in the photo), the carrier (or cookie cup? don't know how to call it) was half soggy.. Don't know if it was by design but i assume it wasn't. To me the texture was not balanced because of it. Seventh, caviars were from 3 different country (Italy, France and China?). But in the dish, there was no way to make the differentiation. I don't believe any waiter or waitress was able to make the differentiation at all. I did taste they are slightly different but too pitty i was not able to know which caviar was from which country. It was a fun fact but lost. It made the dish introduce less meaningful. Overall, this is a 200+ pp restaurant which It was on my top 3 wish list to experience. I wish to have this moment for 3 years. I wouldn't say it was a sad story however I do expect more details than a great place because it is a michelin 2 stars. Excellence becomes a baseline. :-)

We had a wonderful meal at the Treeswijkhoeve in Waalre. We received a friendly welcome and were escorted to our table. We started with a lovely champagne, with a choice of four different labels (including Krug) and varietals. We chose a rosé champagne, which was excellent. We then went for the chef's 7-course menu, which included caviar, scallops, rabbit, and crayfish, as well as Wagyu A4 or Anjou pigeon. All dishes were beautifully presented and very refined. We accompanied this with a delicious Riesling from the extensive wine list. The chef himself explained several dishes. Very enjoyable. The service is very hardworking and attentive. A little more interaction would have made it even more enjoyable. The service was a bit on the formal side; it could be a bit more relaxed. All in all, a fantastic evening and highly recommended.

Every dish was a gift on your plate

One of the best Dutch restaurants. Just had lunch.. you taste the best products served in a great way. I liked the wagyu a4 from Japan the most but all dishes were beyond. Also the wine menu is very extensive and they serve the most special ones per glass as well. Very nice experience! Thanks Dick and team!

Sunday at De Treeswijkhoeve – A Culinary Experience via Alliance Last Sunday was one to remember. I made a reservation at De Treeswijkhoeve in Waalre via Alliance Gastronomique – and what an experience that was. From the moment we arrived it felt special. The tranquility of the surroundings, the warm welcome of the team, and the elegant atmosphere of the restaurant immediately set the tone. We were guided to our table, where a beautifully set table was already ready. The menu was a true journey through flavors and textures. Each dish was prepared with the utmost precision – a perfect balance between refinement and creativity. What made it extra special was the passion of the staff. Each course was explained with care, and the sommelier managed to add an extra dimension to the dish with each wine. Thanks to Alliance Gastronomique, this dinner was not just a meal, but an experience. An afternoon full of taste, atmosphere and class – one that we will enjoy for a long time.

What beautiful dishes I ate here. Big bow and 2 hats off. Nice warm atmosphere, warm welcome. Immediately a welcome home feeling. With the beautiful combinations and the wonderfully soft Wagyu meat. You can taste the combinations in every bite. The delicious oils that ran as a “green thread” through the menu. I'm really a fan.

This restaurant is simply the best! The food is always a surprising taste experience, the atmosphere is great and the staff is incredibly friendly. It is not without reason that we chose to get married here – a place where everything is just right!

Delicious food and great service. Amazing wine pairing. We really discovered new flavors! The dessert selection accompanying the coffee was a real surprise! The chef himself was walking from table to table to serve his guests or exchange a word. We have really been treated as if we had been regular guests, despite it being our first time. They even offered us a sweet treat as they discovered it was my partner's birthday. We hope to come back one day!

We picked the 6 course menu. We have received many complimentary amuses. The food was delicious and it was a great evening lasting almost 4 hours due to the many amuses. Price quality is good for this restaurant and you won’t be hungry after almost continuously eating for 4 hours. A must try experience.

Attempt 3 to post the review, Google refused to post the previous one for unclear reasons. What a wonderful evening we had here, from start to finish you are taken on a high-quality culinary journey in which everything is taken care of down to the last detail. The first thing you notice is the warm welcome, despite the level, the atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed, the service is largely responsible for this with their relaxed approach to the guests. Dishes are, as you would expect, of a high standard. Beautiful appetizers followed by dishes with Jerusalem artichoke, eggplant, dry aged beetroot and so on. This in combination with the wines gave us a wonderful evening to remember.

Het begon bij het aperitief. We kregen enkel de keuze tussen 4 champagne, zonder vermelding van de prijs. Als wijn bij het eten vroegen wij een aangepast wijnarrangement. Groot was onze verwondering dat wij op de rekening moesten zien dat er maar liefst 13 glazen wijn werden aangerekend voor 2 personen aan 16 euro per glas. De glazen werden met een beetje bijgeschonken en wij kregen geen uitleg over de wijn. Wij kozen voor het 6 gangen menu en moesten 720 euro!!! betalen. Wij hebben reeds vele malen sterrenzaken bezocht maar bij deze zaak is deze tweede maal een echte tegenvaller.

Alles verloopt soepel op deze avond. Gelukkig nog parkeerplek voor de deur, een warm welkom bij binnenkomst een sfeervol interieur en een professionele maar zeker niet afstandelijke, juist persoonlijke benadering. Al snel starten de amuses zodat je meteen goed in de flow komt. Wij gaan voor het 6 gangen diner en daar kan flexibel op worden gevarieerd en ingespeeld op het kind wat we bij ons hadden (dat is bij andere sterren restaurants nog wel eens moeilijk). Overigens een voorbeeldige kind, wat dat betreft was het luidruchtige gezelschap de tafel ernaast die een verjaardag te vieren hadden wel erg dominant aanwezig. Persoonlijk vinden wij een wijnarrangement erbij wel prettig, maar dat lijkt een beetje uit de mode (zagen wij ook eerder bij de Bokkendoorns) bij sterren zaken, daar doen ze hier niet aan. Toch wel mooi bijpassende wijnen gevonden. Zoals wel vaker zijn we het meest onder de indruk van de voorgerechten qua originaliteit. Het hoofdgerecht (hert) is wel een prachtig plaatje maar qua smaak niet de hoofdbeleving. Met heerlijke friandises sluiten wij af. Dit voelde goed!

What a wonderful experience! The food was delicious. I enjoyed it a lot. However, this was not only about the taste but also about the design and art and the combination of different tastes and ingredients which were combined and surprisingly went well together. This was not a meal that you could find in every restaurant and it was extraordinary. I also liked the explanation from the chef and the way he looked at the food he served. You could really feel the love he put into it😊

Pure and tasty dishes with matching wines. In the summer it is wonderful to relax in the garden.

We were on our way to Luxembourg and it took a very long time because there were a lot of traffic jams. My wife really needed to go to the toilet and we couldn't find a gas station. Luckily we saw this restaurant along the road and my wife ran to the toilet. We didn't see anyone to ask, but the need was great. I was waiting and someone came and said it would have been polite to ask first, he was absolutely right. But what happened then? We left the restaurant and the man came out to announce in an embarrassing manner that if we used the toilet without asking, it would be nice to leave it tidy. He had found paper in the toilet (and it definitely wasn't left there by my wife). So the man had quickly run to the toilets to see how we had left it, ignoring the fact that there were more toilets. You don't do something like that, never! Because the restaurant looked nice, we considered eating here on the way back, but if the hospitality is of such a level, then we will pass. A perhaps 5 star restaurant, hospitality 1 star and certainly not worth a Michelin star for this part.

First time I left a fine dining restaurant with 5 mosquito bites on me. Staff wasn’t responsive at all after I initially complained about mosquitos flying around. Food was below average for a 2 star restaurant, understandable given a below average price. Chef was nice and welcoming.

This afternoon I had lunch with my wife at De Treeswijkhoeve. We opted for the luxurious midweek lunch with Champagne, 5 courses, the wine arrangement and coffee with friandises. Due to our 12.5 year wedding anniversary, a delicious birthday cake was also offered. We had a fantastic lunch again this afternoon and will definitely come again. back.

Wat een fantastische avond in Waalre; in het prachtige “de Treeswijkhoeve”. Wij zijn culinair verwend door het team van Dick Middelweerd.. wat een plaatjes en prachtige smaakcombinaties. Genoten van de amuse in de prachtige tuin tot de heerlijke zoetigheden bij de koffie in het prachtige restaurant.. elke gang was een smaakexplosie! Gastvrijheid is overal voelbaar; Jasper en Arne zijn toppers… heerlijke wijnen, kwalitatieve, relaxte bediening die communicatief prettig zijn en niet stijfjes. We voelden ons enorm welkom… wij komen zeker nog een keertje terug.. Wat is dit een topzaak! Dikke tien en terechte twee sterren voor team van Dick en Anne-Laura!

It doesn't get better than this. In addition to the fantastic food, what is particularly striking is the hospitality and relaxed atmosphere. Chef Middelweerd and his excellent staff really make you feel at home while you are really enjoying more than 2 star (Michelin) quality! The way he deals with children who have difficulty eating is phenomenal. Everyone is genuinely made to feel welcome. Would like to stay there again tomorrow.

Our experience at De Treeswijkhoeve was disappointing. Unfortunately, every dish was sour in taste and too much of the same. In addition, finding hair and lint in the food was unpleasant three times. Although a new plate was offered, an apology from the chef was missing, which we expected given the price range. It was striking that our table was not cleaned (the crumbs), unlike all the other tables around us. After expressing our preference for a wine, the sommelier seemed less friendly, which we found very unprofessional. After paying in cash we were called at home about a missing payment, which fortunately was quickly corrected, but the incorrect suspicion that we had not paid was strange. The mention of 'tea crockery' on the €30 bill was confusing, as we could not take any crockery home with us and had also paid for the tea ;) See photo. All in all, our expectations remained unmet, perhaps they were still too high for a star restaurant.

What an amazing place this is. Recently visited for the 3rd time and it remains sublime.

We had a delicious meal last night at the Treeswijkhoeve. Fantastic dishes that were beautifully presented. Delicious wines, selected by the sommelier. Operation was correct. The only downside (for us) is that we didn't really find the room where we sat cozy. Looked a bit impersonal. There is a nice space at the front of the restaurant that looked very cozy. The second downside was the men's toilet, I heard from my partner. The urinals were not really clean. Despite these two downsides, we still had a great evening.

Owner Dick and staff elevate 'personal touch' to a whole new level. You're welcomed as a member of the family, while also being treated like royalty. From textures and flavors on the plates to the ambience, everything at this restaurant breathes perfection.

What a wonderful culinary experience!

It had been a long time since I had been to the Treeswijkhoeve, but I thought it was more than worth the trip to end 2022 after 16 1 or more star cases this year. We received a friendly welcome and were given a nice table next to the fireplace from which we had a good view of the place. Beautiful table linen, a special large collection of Michelin guides on the wall and nice space between the tables. As an appetizer I took a nice Chardonnay and soon after, 5 delicious appetizers arrived with, as they call it, very nice flavor explosions. This was followed by 7 fantastic dishes, of which for me the caviar on lakervelder beef was absolutely the tastiest dish of the year. What a party and it remained so. The service was also top-notch and gave nice explanations about everything that was on the table, although the pleasant Italian gentleman was sometimes a bit too fast with his English to follow it completely... we understood that Dick himself was not in the kitchen, but I can assure that this is not at the expense of quality, because we really enjoyed it. Definitely in my top 5 of 2022.

Passie voor product en dat brengt Dick Middelweerd op unieke wijze over aan tafel bij zijn gasten. Eten, spectaculair! Veel meer is er niet over te zeggen.

Superlatives fall short. Sublime restaurant where you can enjoy fantastic, tasty and special food in a beautiful ambiance. All dishes are absolutely great. It starts with the five delicious appetizers, so beautifully presented. The staff is super friendly, interested and professional. We recommend that you indulge yourself in a culinary treat here.

PS: I changed my rating from 5 to 3 stars because during our second visit, for the same number of dishes, namely 4 (we are small eaters) billed the first time at 100€ we were asked for 150€ returned at 110 after negotiation. (And what's more, although we had asked for the same table or one near the windows, we were "parked" in a dark and uncomfortable corner!) Below, to be honest, is my opinion following our first visit: Simply exceptional - Pleasant welcome - Very well appointed room with sober and timeless decor which highlights the “plates” even more - Ultra creative and perfectly executed cuisine with an ideal balance of tastes and flavors both in each dish and in their succession - Takes all allergies into account down to the smallest detail - Absolutely faultless service - Price in relation

On a rainy Thursday evening we visited the Treeswijkhoeve. Along the main road from Waalre to Valkenswaard there is a beautiful farm where the 2-star restaurant is located. We were immediately shown to our table with a friendly welcome. A sleek look with few bells and whistles. But no lack of atmosphere at all. With a beautiful view into the beautiful garden. Where you can relax when the weather is nice. And you are not bothered by traffic at all. The friendly service was there all evening to spoil us. We started with a nice Cremant. With some appetizers to get us used to what is to come. No menu card is provided. They have a set menu. We were able to provide the number of courses. But there may be an a la carte menu if you wish to use it. Later we also heard that they have a vegetable menu. Certainly for now and the future, to try. We chose the menu up to and including the main course. The appetizers were a bit high in taste, while the first 2 starters were a bit mild in taste. The other dishes were tasty and certainly top quality. The presentation of the dishes was of a high standard. The main course of pigeon was exciting. My partner was not a fan of that. But it was very well prepared, which is of course what you would expect. We chose the wine by the glass ourselves because they do not serve a wine pairing. They have an extensive wine list with a good choice to also choose a nice wine by the glass. Definitely recommended to enjoy the garden.

Culinary enjoyment of the highest quality! Despite a very hot day, we enjoyed it on the terrace with top service!

Were very disappointed! Definitely not worth 2 stars. champange and beer were served hot. Lamb was very tough. Dishes lack flavor and no dish really stood out, all very neutral and that for 2 stars! If you regularly visit restaurant one and tribeca, then you will be very disappointed here.

The food, wine and hospitality were fantastic. Very high level where there was not really one specific dish that stood out: everything was just very tasty. Another tip: ask for some advice somewhere about the acoustics. The description of the dishes and wines was often difficult for us to understand because all sounds in the room were approximately the same loudness.

Good, beautifully prepared dishes, but sometimes there was a lack of flavor explosion! The Codfish was bland in taste and not a favorite in our group. Service and dishes otherwise excellent, amuse-bouches nice. Broth was perfect as were the cheeses.

We were guests at this fantastic restaurant on Sunday April 24, 2022. It rightly has 2 stars from Michelin, but for us it has 5 stars. The weather was also nice so we could sit outside. The dinner and the service were a treat. Thank you for this
